Thank you for your response, What I'm talking about are changes being made to the KJV Bible. In this instance, it used to say Brother. Yes I get the figure of speech of course. There are numerous changes. Take John 3:16 for one: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him (should not) perish, but have everlasting life. It originally said: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him "shall not" perish, but have everlasting life." Should and Shall are two different meanings. There are others but probably should be talked about on the right thread according to the right book.

Have you ever sinned and/or lied? No one is perfect except Jesus. Of course Paul sinned like everyone else, but he turned from it to follow Jesus. To me it seems presumptious to claim that Paul lied so his books can't be trusted though. Notice it's worded 'If...' which may be a hypothetical and he might mean our lives in general are as a lie since none of us can accurately communicate or portray the Glory of God. These writings are inspired by God and true. Here's a commentary on that verse:rnrnIf our lie, our false life, has thus shown forth his glory, why should we be individually condemned"?

Jesus has the opportunity to tell this man; Verse 18th-22nd First let me die and after that., just believe on my blood and you shall be Saved. Jesus is not your Savior! The God of Israel is yoiur savior. Read St John5:30 1st Sentence;SJ 14:10 and SJ 5:43 Read

David, I believe you're right that our purpose is to share the good news of Jesus. Some (like Paul) can do this better if they're single, while others (like Peter) can spread the good news better if they're married. Just as each of us is called to bring others to Jesus through various vocations (some through music, some through art, some through sports, etc.), we each need to ask God your question about marraige. Jesus spoke of some making themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of God, but recognized that not all could do this. So we need to find out from God if we can better accomplish the work he sent us to earth to do married to a certain person, and whether it should be a celibate union.

Verse 7 Paul admits he's lying. Why should anyone believe him. You are a sinner because of your lies. Matter of fact he disobeyed?

Corona virus could be a pestilence because it has world wide coverage. You can do a word search on the word 'pestilence' in this app. Then you can read every scripture about it. then pray. Sit quietly and wait for the answers.

Abel-The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life Romans 6:23. All of the incidents you have mentioned are consequences of the actions of those you mentioned. Why did God send a flood to destroy the whole earth? Genesis 6:5-7, why did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah? Genesis 13:13 The men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord. If you look up the story of each incident you will find that the people were not obedient to God therefore the Lord had them destroyed as to not continue spreading sin, this is no different today, the earth will be destroyed at the second coming because we humans are not obeying Gods law.

  • Fred scanlan on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 6 years ago
God wants all people to come to the truth. CHRIST DIED FOR THE WORLD! During the resurrection Jesus said, forgive them Father they do not know what they do. If there is no specific evidence today of the occurrences spoken by Paul, it would be a sin to speculate! The preeminence of Jesus Christ as our high Priest is and should be the protestant and catholic teaching! We should not frustrate the Spirit by judging the end of time. Scripture teaches to be aware of the times, and live accordingly but Scaring tactics are not Christs will. Do not judge the popes heart nor his faith. Remember Christs words and be not deceived. Mans sinful nature is to be first in the things that pertain to Godliness!
  • Rick Colombe on Isaiah 60 - 6 years ago
On Isaiah 60: You are correct Alex. Jesus paid the price for ALL, yet not ALL will be saved. Look at Matthew 7:13 and 14. Then look at Matthew 7: 21, 22, and 23. This describes to me some of these apostate so called evangelists we are seeing today. Ie. Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and many others who fall into their false " prosperity " teaching. We are to count the cost in following Christ. It's as easy as just asking Him in, yet we have to follow Him and only Him. We all know through life's experiences that it's not all that easy. I fall short each and every day, and all I have to stand on is His grace. Again, He paid the price for ALL, yet ALL will not be saved.

Please read vs 9 again -- ".... if any man worship the beast or his image and receive his mark ....
I believe the mass of blood is from those who have done this. The exact amount is no nearly as important as the message - all will be slain who have worshiped the beast or his image!

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there be no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, YET I WILL REJOICE IN THE LORD, I WILL BE JOYFUL IN GOD MY SAVIOR.....What ever we are going through these day let us continue to rejoice in the Lord our savior.

  • Abel - In Reply on Genesis 3 - 6 years ago
If God has omniscience (knowing all things), both past and future, did he not already know beforehand that Adam and Eve would take fruit from the Tree of Knowledge? Did he not already know that the snake would tempt Eve? Therefore, did he not doom Adam and Eve to commit the first sin by placing them in the garden anyways, despite all of this knowledge? How can it be said that they had free will, if it is already known by God and thus already determined in His knowledge?
  • Adam - In Reply on Matthew 10 - 6 years ago
    >HE ALREADY KNOWS WHAT ALL OF US WILL DO

Actually, God is so powerful he can choose to operate in our timeframe. Proof of this is people changing God's mind in the Bible. And he loves us enough to give us freewill and ability to choose good or evil.

Proverbs 29:11 King James Version (KJV)
11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

Boy, this is true in order to live a righteous life. I like to speak my mind but I want it to be right; pausing is usually best and listening. My idea of a good discussion is to give something of value to the other party as I am getting insight from them.
