Did not God himself commit and approve of many genocides? God killed everyone on Earth except for Noah's family in the Great Flood; God killed every inhabitant of Sodom and Gomorrah by raining hellfire down on them; God ordered the death of the Philistines by the Israelites when the Israelites marched outside their wall. God even guaranteed the deaths of Adam, Eve, and all of their descendants by explicitly denying them the ability to eat from the tree of life (simply because God did not want them to "live forever"). Did not God create death, as he created all things?
  • Abel - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 6 years ago
I interpret this passage as meaning that Cain had brought a subpar offering to God, and that Abel had brought a good offering -- the nature of the offering (fruit vs. meat) was not necessarily important. Maybe Cain brought spoiled or weak fruits, implying that Cain was lazy and uncaring, while Abel brought well-fed animals for slaughter, implying that Abel was hardworking.
  • Abel on Genesis 4 - 6 years ago
If God created humans in Adam and Eve, and Adam and Eve only had two children (Abel and Cain), then who is Cain afraid will slay him after he slays Abel? Who does Cain take as his wife from the land of Nod? Who lived in the land of Nod, if not humans created by God?

The book of the Bible that talks about the end of times is Revelations, the final book in the New Testament. There are many, many signs of the end of times, but in the vision revealed to John (from which Revelations is written), there will be "seven seals" each of which, when unsealed, bring about a new stage of the apocalypse. The first four seals release the "Four Horsemen," which are (in order): Conquest (the White Horse), War (the Red Horse), Famine (the Black Horse), and Death (the Pale Horse). The interpretation of each horsemen is up to debate, though (for instance the rider of the White Horse could be Jesus OR the Antichrist, or something else entirely, it's unclear).

So, if God intended for us to live without clothes to cover our bodies, and only through humanity's first sin (eating the apple) do we clothe ourselves, then why are Christians today so against being unclothed? Is not the unclothed body the ultimate expression of God, since we were made in his image?

The most important is that the holy spirit is moving in these words. The gospel is the word of God, and is not of anyone's private interpretation. Holy men where moved by the spirit. The same spirit that moved on Mary, the same spirit that moved the prophets of old, the same spirit that was on the face of the deep in creation. The holy spirit is a person in the trinity, Christ calls Him the comforter, that was given to those who are baptized into Christ
death and resurrection. This is called redemption of mankind, reconciliation in our creator. Thanks be to Christ our savior. Glory to God in the Highest.
  • Abel - In Reply on Genesis 1:1 - 6 years ago
If God is all knowing without fault, he must know all of our actions, from past to future. If he knows all of our future actions, then are our actions not already decided?
  • Fred scanlan - In Reply on Hebrews 4 - 6 years ago
Love Christ ,hear his words. HIS WORDS and his disciples, not mans, only those moved by the holy spirit. Christ came to save us from sin and death. Our Father was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself. Rejoice in this, knowing He has redeemed us through His only begotton Son. Our salvation is complete in HIM.

through patience in well doing. Trusting His words, and studing to show thyself approved. The guidance of the Holy Spirit will move you and direct you. Be careful for nothing, while always remembering that the evil one will always be watching, sometimes in the littlest things our flesh will always war against our spirit. Most importantly is persistent prayer! Bible says without ceasing, in all thy ways acknowledge Him. God Bless you on your journey
  • Adam on Genesis 3 - 6 years ago
One of satan's greatest tricks is to convince others he doesn't exist and that he doesn't deceive people into choosing sin. 'No one will ever find out', 'if I don't do it, someone else will', 'what happens here, stays here', 'it won't hurt anybody', or 'they deserve it'. These types rationalizations are used to commit sin from stealing a penny to committing mass murder. Satan deceived from the beginning and still does today.

"O Lord, My God, Help me to continually humble myself, pray, seek your face, and turn from my wicked ways, so that you Lord God will hear from heaven, forgive my sin and heal our land". Amen.

    John Chapter 19

25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home .
Do you not get that figures of speech are not satanic changes in the Bible.
Jesus knew Mary was NOT the mother of John and yet he said Behold thy Mother
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 4 - 6 years ago
Timothy was Paul's SON in the faith. Mark Chapter 3: 32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
33 And he (Jesus) answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

Not sure if God-inspired, but there's indeed lots of history captured here. Some apocrypha was found with other dead sea scrolls and some think Jesus' quotes somewhat resemble scriptures from apocrypha books.

I read the passages you sent to me regarding my comment on Matthew 24:7 about corona virus qualifying as a pestilence. I didn't say God sent a pestilence on us.
News this morning intimated that China did this on purpose to the US to destabilize our economy. We'll see how the President responds to this allegation.
    Bless you for your interest.

Tona Mondesir.. Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill..We all have made mistakes and done things in our life that we regret, the beautiful part of having a heart relationship with Jesus Christ is that we can ask for forgiveness for our sins and then like Jesus told the woman at the well in John 8:11 go and sin no more. Also in 1 John 2:1 And if anyone sin, we have an advocate of the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. We have help if we want it, Satan is the one, who after we confess our sins continues to make us feel guilty and ashamed of our sins..Jesus said I forgive you we must believe it..Faith

I love Chapter 91 of the book of Psalms. What a mighty God we serve. I sometimes wonder how anyone can not believe in the Word of our Lord and Savior. He has brought me from such a mighty long way and that is the God living truth. All Glory and Honor to Him! Thank God for Jesus!

Matthew 24:8 For these are the beginning of sorrows.. I too believe that the pestilence we are seeing today along with other signs like increased earthquakes, plague of locust coming in middle east (see ktfnews dot com) the immorality of this nation as well as the world like same sex marriage, abortion/late term abortion and the continued disobedience of Gods commandments, yes, that means commandment number 4 too.. God is trying to wake many people up to worship Him and His laws not mans. Prayer and study of Gods Word is a must...Stay strong in Christ...

Your comment has blessed me this morning. I love to talk... But I am not quick to listen as God will have me, I am not slow to speak. I want to walk the way God wants me to. I love how you said STOP LOOK and Listen to God's Word. He who hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit says unto the church... I talk too much but I am going to APPLY God's Word by listening to God and when I speak to others because God may have a message for me through someone else... Thank You Jesus

As it relates to marriage, 1-12 above JESUS give good clarity about what JEHOVAH /GOD has written in stone, nevertheless in 2020 mankind still put away unlawfully. Thank GOD for JESUS thereby forgiveness of this sin through JESUS can be obtain. 13-31 again JESUS mind is on SALVATION for us, 33-34 JESUS mind is on the work HE must finish, thereby finishing or establishing THE WAY for us that leads to ETERNAL LIFE /SALVATION, see John 3:16-21.
