I see myself as Isaiah- someone recognizing the holiness of God and the weakness and sinfulness of self. I desire the cleansing and empowerment of God which I know he has bestowed upon me. I now volunteer to be used as an ambassador for the Kingdom.

The word Angel means messenger. Jesus is The Angel of the Lord, the Angel in revelation is a man, but Angels are also heavenly ministers to God. They are many different types of heavenly angels: seraphim, cherubims, and even a type of angel thats a woman with the legs of a stork Isaiah, Ezekiel . Keep in mind angel means messenger so technically anyome that God sends with a message is an angel.

Jerry, did you read Hebrews 13:2 ? Because I wrote angels 'can be disguised as people' as Hebrews 13:2 clearly says, but you then respond by saying "I don't think I ever read a place where it says they were disguised as men". But Hebrews 13:2 literally says angels can be disguised as people, do you agree? So, given that why do automatically you rule that out as a possibility in Genesis 18:2?

My interpretation is that our bodies and souls after death will be in sleep mode awaiting judgment after Jesus returns. I do not see Bible evidence that Christians' souls go to heaven then go back to our bodies on earth then go back to heaven. 2 Corinthians 5:10 Matthew 25:31-46.

Nelia-Luke is telling you in vv1-4 a declaration of things accomplished from the beginning by God words taught delivered to us by His authority. In vv5-25 he tells of the pre-natal conception of Elizabeth to give birth to John-the-Baptist. John Jesus were cousins John was to pave the way for Jesus to teach before the Crucifixion.

I'm very familiar with the mainstream doctrine, but it's wrong in my opinion. Yes Angels are ministering spirits, so are we. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Let's study this together.

Is cremation a wise thing to do and what do the bible say about this.
  • Christy - In Reply on Psalms 29 - 6 years ago
The Psalms use poetic language. Calves jump and play, happy to be alive. Mountains, hills and trees sway with the wind, much like the calves playing. It shows all of God's creation praising Him and lifting the spirit of man with the 'awe' of God's handy work. We should learn to be happy to be alive and look for the good in this life. The poetry of the Bible is the finest available to us.

When a Christian dies, James 2:26 the body returns to dust from where it came. Gen 3:19 The soul and spirit go immediately to be with Christ in Heaven to await the resurrection of the body. 2 Cor 5:8 In the resurrection our body, soul and spirit are reunited in a body like Christ has - a glorious body that will never die. I Cor 15:44 Read Chapter Phil 3:21 King James Version

Many people of Luke's day set out to write about the things they had seen and heard of Jesus Christ. Luke had perfect understanding in all things from beginning to end, and decided to write the best and most reliable record of who Jesus Christ was and why he came. He gives details of how John was born through natural conception and Jesus through Miraculous conception - God come in the flesh!

the soul immediately go to heaven, the body remained buried and actually decay. however in the rapture a.k.a first resurrection the body will be raised but changed and be immortal and will fuse with the soul...

In John 8:59 - did Jesus make himself 'invisible' and pass through the midst of them? What does the verse mean?

Today is a day to rejoice in Him who Loves you, with a compassion you will never know in this world. A Love that should carry you to others to show them they should walk with our Mighty God, not the evilness this world carries. Praise our Father for letting His Son suffer so for our earthly sins we commit against Him-- who Loves us. Asking forgiveness shows Him you Love Him too!!!

Jerry: Angels are ministering spirits Hebrews 1:14. We humans are made a little lower than the angels and Jesus came to this earth as flesh Hebrews 2:16 There is God the Father, His Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit, then there are Angels, then Man. There is a distinction between these three levels, man can have the spirit of God in him if he asks and repents of sin.Blessings, continue to study..

Amen. We are all inexcusable! I'm so glad that HE looked beyond our filthy sins the fact that we often repeat the same sin but inspite of knowing this HE still loved us so much that HE completed HIS mission. HE KNEW that the majority would reject HIM still go 2 hell but that didn't stop HIM....HIS love will never be truly comprehended by mankind! Thank you LORD for loving a wretch like me!

"All animals"? Like blue whales, even though there's no ocean, or rattlesnakes, or annoying biting flies, mosquitos and ticks, or just the animals you like? We already know the Bible says nothing about animals going to heaven, because they don't have souls like people. People who love their pets are the ones who seem most interested in this, but of course since heaven is paradise with total love and happiness the last thing people will think about may be their previous pets on earth.

Very True Seventh Day and how wonderful that Jesus has set us free from the Slavery of Sin so we can work out our Salvation not meaning work for it of course and putting our Carnal Flesh to death by The Spirit Romans 8 and then being Perfected in God's Love we don't Sin because we have His seed, 1John 3:9 the Old has gone the New has come. Christian Love and Blessings in Christ Jesus.

Then why does it say a lion shall lay down with a lamb and a little child shall lead them? I believe all animals go to heaven, for they never disobeyed God.

Is.34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. 17 And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 states "the dead in Christ shall rise first..." So here is my question...when a Christian dies, where do we go? Why are we waiting on our bodies to be resurrected before we go to heaven?

Thank you Marshall for seeking to share the Reality of Jesu's Divinity in The Godhead or Trinity as They are called today both mean Thy are 3 in One Spiritually but Thy have have different Roles, God The Father is as we know in Authority. 1Corinthians15:24-28 This is the same as Men and Woman, we are one Spiritually in Christ but we also have differant roles. Galations3:28 Christian Love Always
