Mamie - the term "pressed in the Spirit" is just another way of saying that God's conviction to do, or not to do, something, weighs heavy upon us. This has nothing to do with condemnation, but is conviction of the Spirit felt very strongly. Once I was reading the Word and God told me to do something. I wanted to finish reading the Word first, but had to go, and do, then He allowed me to finish.

  • Apelu on Genesis 3 - 10 years ago
This story may be real or allegorical. Either way, it shows the danger of isolation (Eve being alone) and of engaging with the devil (the serpent more subtil). It shows man's propensity to blame the woman and the woman's propensity to be beguiled. It also shows there is consequence to sin and there is mercy with God.

Before sin, apparently mankind could communicate with animals or with the devil!

Heineken Vetten Assyrian has no article so it's Te-ashshur which means box cedar or old box cedar not worth much cause it's speaking of Satan. Then it goes on to speak of him in the garden, tree of the knowledge of good and evil and face it God created Satan almost-the full pattern he was something but pride ego got the best of him so I think it's his insides as little box cedar. No heart 4 others.

Verse 13 points out that we must keep forgiving one another and putting up with one another the way God continues to forgive and put up with our imperfections.

To Hector, Yes, the Jews did indeed, refer to Elohiym as "GOD", not "GODS". In fact we see the Philistines had this misconception, "...Woe unto us, for who shall deliver us out of the hand of THESE mighty GODS." 1 Sam.4:8 KJV

Man and woman, two persons, in the IMAGE of God, are united to be "ONE FLESH" Gen. 2:24, bearing children from themselves-consummating - oneness

  • Joyce McDowell on Job 10 - 10 years ago
Job's shoes is hard to fill. Job was a man after God's heart. Even though he grumbled and complained he did not once deny who God is. We in today's society like to say,"God if you are real than do this". If we have faith, God's word said that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Job had faith with others lost it, when his wife and friends did not have faith.

We must always remember that even in our roughest times that God is with us. naturally the flesh begins to pain, discouragement, but we must Trust Gods words. he told us that many are the afflictions of the righteous but he would deliver us out of them all.( Psalm 34:19). We often forget that God will and can do all things. He told us that All things work together for good for them that love God.

being holy is something we dont work hard for.. its a default setting. u dont need to fast or pray to be holy, because God didnt.. even in the old testatment God called land holy bt it hadnt fasted.. God told moses to remove shoes bcz the land he was standing on was holy. God is holy but since we also gods we too are holy. when u bcame born again u bcam one with christ.
  • we should try as much as possible to spread the gospel all over the world. in our places of work, job and business so that we can fulfill the desire of God. We should also try to be good disciples and teach those who doesn't know anything about it so that God will be pleased with us.

Lesson learnt: When it is God that enthrone you and not men the earth will rent with the sound, your voice will be heard and your authority will be felt by all men. Wait for God to enthrone you.

Philippians 2:6,7 tells us that Jesus was made in the likeness of men, he became human and had all the charsteristics of a human being. In human form Jesus Christ felt hungry, became tired, was tempted, but never once sinned. As a human being Jesus Christ needed to be spiritually strenghtened and that is one of the reason why He prayed to His Father.

Read col. 2:16-17. Let no man judge you in meat or drink or in respect of an holy day, the new moon, or the Sabbath days which are a shadow of things to come. But the body is of Christ.

Job 38:4-7(NLT)Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much. Who determined its dimensions and stretched out the surveying line? What supports its foundations, and who laid its cornerstone as the morning stars sang together and all the ANGELS shouted for joy? Who was God talking to? God was talking to his angels when he created the heavens and earth.
  • Hector on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God...
Everything that is not God depends totally on God. The entire universe is utterly secondary. It came into being by God and stays in being moment by moment on God's decision to keep it in being. Exodus 3:14 and God said unto Moses, I AM WHO I AM...

At the 7th trumpet we are all changed into spiritual bodies.......another dimension, hence the reason flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, God and the angels reside in another dimension....the merchants of the earth realize it's basically over for them....bye, bye! Same earth different age......the Lord's Day, mankind was given 6 days (6,000 years) and failed.
  • Cheryl on Genesis 6 - 10 years ago
P - You have to understand that God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. God is so outside our sphere of understanding. We just can't grasp how great He is; how wonderful, how huge and amazing He is. God would have provided everything Noah needed - he also showed Moses a picture of the Tabernacle so he would know how to build it. He has everything covered, we just need to trust in Him!
  • Lawrence D. Perrault on Psalms 91 - 10 years ago
When we open our hearts to God, love Him, and keep our lives clean by turning away from sin, we find our selves trusting in the Lord who made us. He will be our defender who brings restoration, joy and peace.
