  • Olabode on 1 Corinthians 16 - 10 years ago
The NT is translated from the Greek and the word Pentecost literally means "50th day". It is the Biblical Jewish "feast (festival) of weeks"(Shavuot) ( Ex. 34:22) to celebrate the completion of wheat harvest.(50th day after Passover). The Holy Spirit came on this day.( Acts 2:1) So Paul in 1 Cor. 16:8, was speaking of the Jewish festival not the day the Holy Spirit came. (See Blue letter Bible)
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Matthew 2 - 10 years ago
John, The verse does not say, as you claim, "Joseph did not know the prophesy." You are making an assumption. The Lord leading them is fulfilling prophesy. If scripture doesn't say "he didn't know" neither should we.
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Psalms 1 - 10 years ago
Marlene, Psalms 1:1 is telling believers not to take advice (counsel) about Godly things from unbelievers, don't live like, them. Unfriendliness is not one of God's commands. Will you be showing them the love of Christ? Where is the "charity" in your answer? Mark12:33, 1John4:18,Romans13:10, John4:11and20, Psalms119:165, Deuteronomy10:19, etc.
Satan will love it when you snub them!!
  • Reva on Daniel 5 - 10 years ago
Amen.. Glorious and True is OUR GOD the GOD of Israel, the GOD of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, The ONLY True and wise GOD. THERE IS NO GOD BESIDES OUR GOD. I think the time of Daniels stay in Babylon is seeing the power of GOD to do HIS WILL and the same in our lives. Daniel was there to see kings change and DREAMS made true. God kept Daniel there to interpret the things that would come to pass.
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Jeremiah 32 - 10 years ago
Avuma, "That's why I say proudly", you said. Proverbs 16:5 "Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished." (our confidence is in the Lord, and our trust.) Nothing is impossible for God. If you find a verse that says "pride" or "proud" is ok, let us know.
  • Melvin powell on Psalms 29 - 10 years ago
I need a miracle from the lord...
  • G.P.Blood on Psalms 23 - 10 years ago
John, The 23rd Psalm is probably one of the most known and remembered of all psalms, and truly one of my favorites, looking at your comment, I thought of the last verse; surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever., in "goodness-mercy" or"grace-forgiveness" in Christ the shepherd; we have righteousness and eternal life. Amen
  • Anne on Job 8 - 10 years ago
Job is being encouraged not to lose hope but to trust in God who is Just and will bring him to an expected end.
  • Andrew khenmy on Genesis 1 - 10 years ago
I believe all things made by God
  • Lucinda Palestrant on 1 Corinthians 16 - 10 years ago
JR, Acts 20:16"For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost."
Scripture says he was converted before Pentecost. Believe God's word.
  • CINDY SAHIJAD on Psalms 91 - 10 years ago

  • Nicola allen on Genesis 17 - 10 years ago
it teaches us to always wait an trust God as His timing Is perfect no matter how our circumstances may look an how frustrating we may be we need to pray an God will see us true the long journey to be patient in our needs and not to try an work it out ourselves
  • Gwendolyn Johnson on Jeremiah 32 - 10 years ago
I believe God is serious. He's had enough and He's ready to raise up some people.
  • JR on 1 Corinthians 16 - 10 years ago
Cor. 16:8 - but I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. I thought Pentecost happened years before Paul's conversion, and before Corinthians was written. Here in Corinthians, which Paul wrote, this statement occurs pertaining to tarrying at Ephesus until Pentecost.

    Any care to elaborate?
  • Loveth Eberechukwu on Isaiah 10 - 10 years ago
I think in verse 27, God has the power to liberate his people from any satanic bondage by the power of the Holy Spirit being present in His anointing. If only man will change from his evil act and return to God in sincere repentance and humility.
  • Tilda on John 6 - 10 years ago

  • Oby Uwakwe on Psalms 121 - 10 years ago
Its one of my favourite psalm. As long as we put our trust in God not in man.He will bring every thing concerning us to perfection. It reminds us of His greatness that He never sleeps nor slumbers. He is the Mighty one of His people Israel. If you are picking on Israel watch out, for God will get ya.
  • Avuma on Jeremiah 32 - 10 years ago
God has helped me with so many things and even when I was going through hardships of life I never stopped believing in him,so that's why I proudly say "WITH ALMIGHTY EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE "
  • Ron Rhumb on 1 John 5 - 10 years ago
This is an excellent book to help all Gods children understand his wonderful nature that the kenites would like to continue to hide from us.
    Don't be beguiled by them.
    Study to show yourself approved!
Let God know you love him.
  • Marlene on Psalms 1 - 10 years ago
I have been struggling with my decision not even to say hello to some of my neighbors and co-workers who I know are agents of Satan. The struggle is to be confident that this decision is in the Will of God. Psalm 1 has therefore provided that answer. I totally agree with Richard and Maurice you have to be careful who you associate with as a Christian to ensure that the devil keeps his distance.
  • John bentley on Psalms 23 - 10 years ago

psalm 23 provides me with the a sense of well being and an appreciation for things I had taken for granted. My loving wife, the strength of my father. Though I fear, I fear not because God is with me. I repent the sins of my life and ask to be forgiven so that perhaps I too may live in the fertile pastures of heaven.
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Matthew 2 - 10 years ago
Holly, Matthew 2; you asked,"what is the star" the star is exactly what scripture says it is. Don't think past what scripture says, you will miss the truth. Our thoughts are not his thoughts, his ways are not our ways.
His thoughts are higher than ours.
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Matthew 2 - 10 years ago
Holly,Matthew2:13; The "angel of the Lord is Christ", he fulfills prophesy. It doesn't say in this chapter whether Joseph knew all the prophesies or that he didn't. You are assuming he didn't know. The Lord does as he pleases. If scripture doesn't say he didn't know; neither should we.. Proverbs 3:5-7 I hope this helps.
  • Nali on Jeremiah 32 - 10 years ago
Amen,Everything is easy to GOD Jehovah,Hos is tje alpha and omega.
  • John on Ezekiel 18 - 10 years ago
only when the time comes you take the mark and have to worship satan or die. worship God and die. even if you are saved at that time if you take the mark you will loose your salvation. but you would have to be left behind unsaved and then get saved and then take the mark and then you lost it. just can not take the mark at all ever. die saved and go to heaven
  • John on Genesis 2 - 10 years ago
now you have to remember one thing about God, he is the Creator, i said he is the Creator. God created everything with age. God created the garden of eden and when they sinned God just took it from the earth. so the garden was just gone and never to be found. Remember God is the creator of everything and if he don't want it there any longer it just disappears.
  • John on Isaiah 48 - 10 years ago
God talks to everyone with a small voice and all you have to do is listen to what he has to say. the thing is do you listen?
