Yes Jewell. That is exactly what 1 Timothy 2:12 is saying. The Apostle Paul in other letters spoke about the order of creation, just as he referred to here in verse 13. In 1 Corinthians 11:2,3,8,9 and Ephesians 5:23, Paul gives those details again to the Corinthian & Ephesian Churches.

The reason for giving this order, was not that Paul had something against women or of their abilities in teaching & using their other gifts & talents, but that within Church worship, before God & His angels, the prescribed order of ministry must be observed. And this he instructed young Timothy, who was left in charge of the ministry in Ephesus & generally in Asia Minor. As capable as women may be in teaching, within the Church, the task of administering, leading & teaching from the Word was incumbent upon the brothers. Elders who were ordained in every Church ( Acts 14:23) were men & they also had been enabled by God to teach & lead the flock of God.

I too don't believe there's any symbolism in that sad picture of Noah. He was farmer having a vineyard & imbibed a little too much in his fermented product, probably after a hard day's work. As a result of his drinking & maybe the warm conditions in his tent, he laid aside his garment & fell asleep. Some like to read that passage, that his wife was also there & they were intimate together. Others believe that Ham engaged with his mother. All these are theories from a fertile imagination & find no basis in what is given to us here.

Though 'Christianity' is not seen here because of the era of those events, we can note & take heed to grievous & sometimes, humiliating effect of alcohol consumption. Ephesians 5:18 warns Christians 'not to be drunk with wine, but rather to be filled with God's Spirit'. Don't fill yourself with alcohol that can lead one to sin & embarrassment, but fill yourself with the real, pure, enriching Spirit of God Who will lead us in what God requires of His children.

For the life of me, I fail to see how the rapture is connected to the Bible verse in question... 2nd Chronicles 29:30...please help...what I DO see is that while the burnt offering was BEING offered, they used musical instruments, and when the offering was FINISHED then they DID NOT use musical instruments but instead sang with their voices and this is clearly in line with Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16....also in line with God rejecting Cain's offering of things Cain sweat for and accepting Abel's offering of something he had no part in doing...

A woman doesn't have authority over a men within the congregation to teach nor over her husbands at home. however, husbands love their wives and listens to their concerns just as Jehovah ( Psalm 83:18) taught Abraham Gen. 21:8-12. Even Jesus; when he was at a house or on the roads he listened and asked woman questions. woman like Martha, Mary Magdalene, the Samaritan woman. he taught them and spoke to them with kindness. John 11:27; Luke 10:38-42.

"Nourish and cherish" doesn't mean "coddle and pleasure". Just as we must sometimes discipline and deny ourselves for our own good, sometimes we must do the same for our spouses. A lot of people these days seem to think that love is all about happiness. It's not. When happiness comes at the cost of unity, health, good morals, etc., then happiness becomes a disease.

DWL You will not find it, biblically men are leaders in the church not women, the timothy epistles are written to leaders in the Church in 2 Timothy 2:9-13. There are bishops elders and deacons no deaconess. In regards to the sabbath everyday for the christian is a day of worshipping and thanksgiving look at Ephesians 5:17-20 is what to do. Colossians 2:16-23 is what not to do. If you look up origin of the names of days of the week we use Monday ,tuesday, etc. its a very interesting study mostly named after planets or gods that were worshipped. Paul was speaking to believers when he said:

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. - Galatians 6:7-9

I personally believe that's a law of God, just like the law of gravity. If a farmer sows corn, you can be sure that he'll reap corn. If he sows wheat, he'll reap wheat. My friend, as a believer, if you are sowing to the flesh, you "will of the flesh reap corruption." There is no way around it.

Now, the child of God does not have to produce these things. We can produce the fruit of the Spirit. God has another principle:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. - Galatians 5:22, 23

You can't produce these fruit by following the Law; in fact, there is not one of these lovely fruits that you can produce on your own. We are totally incapable; it can only be produced by the Holy Spirit."For the fruit of the Spirit,"Paul says in Ephesians 5:9,"is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth."You can know whether you are living by the flesh or living in the power, in the fullness, of the Holy Spirit by seeing if He is producing these fruits in your life.

I assume that you are referring to Ephesians 5:27: "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."

The phrase "not having spot or wrinkle" equals to the other phrase "without blemish." These blemishes, such as spots or wrinkles, refer to sin or secret faults.

I like to use the analogy of a white shirt. In order for the white to be perfect, there can be no stains, no spots, no wrinkles. If there is ANY kind of blemish, the shirt is no longer perfect.

God's desire for the church is to be spotless and wrinkle-less of sin!

Hi Neumon. I believe you're referring to Isaiah 45:7 and Amos 3:6. Please correct me if you're thinking of other similar verses.

If we read those passages as given & understood, then we're liable to believe that the "evil" being spoken of in both verses is a moral or sadistic evil constructed by God. However, we must turn to the Hebrew to interpret that word. In both cases, the word for "evil" is from the same root word: Rah; and in both instances 'evil' is meant to imply 'calamity or adversity'.

So reading Isaiah 45:7: God both forms the light & creates darkness; if God chooses to remove the light, whether a physical light from the sun, we will have darkness. Or, He chooses to not give or prevent spiritual light coming to someone, then that mind lies in darkness (e.g. Ephesians 5:8, 1 Thessalonians 5:5).

Similarly, with "I make peace & create evil": God can choose to bring peace into a situation or within a person, or He can withhold that peace, & calamity or adversity prevails. So, when it says that God creates 'evil', it's impossible for an Holy God to bring out some evil from within Himself, when no such evil can even exist in such holiness. But God can remove light & peace for His Own purposes, thereby leaving distress & calamity.

Amos 3:6: in like manner, when a trumpet (of warning) is sounded, the people ought to be alerted & afraid of what's to come. If there is a calamity being struck in a city, shouldn't the inhabitants likewise be warned that maybe the Lord is trying to tell them something? Sometimes, not always, when we face an adversity or calamity in our lives, we need to seek the Lord's Face & examine our lives, lest there may be a word of warning from God for us. The Lord told Israel (through Amos) in verse 2: "You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities." Israel was greatly blessed, but they likewise also faced much warning & punishment for their sins & departure from God.

Those who assume others are just as evil either have been brainwashed by propaganda or could be symbolically bowing to the evil culture, just like the US giving billions to Iran the #1 enemy who threatens to nuke us. In these dark days we even see pastors bowing down to terrorist groups like blm and antifa who have killed so many hundreds that aren't reported by the evil media. The vaccine injection has also murdered more than 5,000 people and they sweep it under the rug- that's more death than the 9/11 attacks. It's horrifyingThe time for pandering to this evil is over.

Habakkuk 1:13, Romans 12:9, Philippians 3:2, Ephesians 5:11, John 3:20 - say to expose evil, not pander to them, appease them, or bow down and worship them as a false god. The end times are near and people will be soon tested to see who they are allegient to. Were they an accessory to murder by belonging to a group that mass murders babies, lets criminals out of prison to murder innocents, to let illegals in to spread disease, bring lethal drugs, and traffic children? Those supporting this will be held accountable. It's not too late to repent of this sin and to follow Jesus.

I agree, and what came to mind is I believe the Lord gave us marriage to communicate his love to the Church.

A husband and wife should model that relationship.

Ephesians 5:22-28. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

For the HUSBAND IS THE HEAD OF THE WIFE, EVEN AS CHRIST IS THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH: and he is the saviour of the body.

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Dear Sherry, same sex marriage Male or Female is a sin like any other. Anyone who consciously and willing continues in sin (any sin) demonstrates that he or she does not believe or perhaps care about what God says. Sadly, if anyone continues in sin, it sears the conscious and darkens the understanding resulting in hardening their heart. God cannot have fellowship with unrighteousness.

A long term sexual relationship (marriage) between a man and a woman is God's design. It is a physical example of Christ and the Church. Ephesians 5:31.. A same sex marriage is in defiance of God's design. How can God bless anything other than what He says is good?

The Bible says many times to fear God. The Bible doesn't say to "not" fear God as you put it. 1 John 4:18 seems to suggest love and fear and opposites. Maybe these are mutually exclusive when it comes to how we treat others, but maybe God in an exception. The Bible clearly says to love God and clearly says to fear God. Therefore, I'm inclined to believe that it's both. Some say the fear means a high level of respect rather than a petrified fear. Drug use hinders us from being spiritually led, which can be dangerous to us whether Christian or not, How can you even hear the gospel that saves without the Holyspirit, Drug use distorts something on the inside the vessel that should be totally given over to the Lord.

Ephesians 5:14-19. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be ""FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT;""

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

"Be not drunken with wine" The Emphasis is drunken, , "INFLUENCED by the wine is the danger here". But be filled with the spirit. INFLUENCED by the spirit is the blessing here!! they're contuary one to another. The focus is not on just wine, anything that hinders the work of the spirit.

It's not just what you will do while under fleshly influence, but what you want do what you want hear or anything the Holyspirit urges you to do.

There are numerous ways that God uses to "equip and prepare us" according to what the Lord Jesus prayed for.

At the base of all spiritual living & work, lies Christ's fully accomplished work on the Cross. And after successfully providing redemption & defeating the power of Satan to all who would believe, Jesus sent to us His Spirit to confirm, seal & establish our hearts in this new life.

So with the basis of the Cross & the Gift of the Holy Spirit, God's children are being prepared for higher service & a part of that preparation is the "equipping of the saints". Those believers who remain obstinate to the Spirit's urging, never grow spiritually, never receive the abundance of Heaven, & never impact others with Christ's Love.

The Spirit gives us much so that the Purposes of God are accomplished in the believer, in the Church & in the World. He has blessed us with those with particular Gifts for the building up of Christ's Church & to use to bless others. The power of the Gospel to the unsaved is found both in the power of God's Word & by the testimony of those so changed by it. The depth & richness from the Word comes from the Holy Spirit & in those whom He fills with such knowledge so that our knowledge might also increase. And not to mention the burden of praying saints, those giving of their substance, their time, their energies, & those who would get beside those under weight of some sin or temptation, all speak of the life-giving power of God to bring about His Purposes & blessings to others.

As Jesus prayed, "I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me." John 17:23: to the end that the Church may be found 'unified with the Godhead in perfection'. And this was the desire of the apostles: Jude 24; Ephesians 5:27; Colossians 1:27,28; Romans 12:1: that in the Day of Presentation, the God's people might stand pure, holy, & unashamed.
