    Amen Giannis.

The means by way we enter the Kingdom is one way. And that was preached to all ages starting in Genesis 3:15. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

It also was preached to Abraham.

    Galatians 3:8.

Flesh and blood shall not inherit the kingdom, You have to be born again.

In the old testament teachings they was to look for a savior to come. All the services was a foreshadow of Christ. In the new testament teachings we look back and believe on him has come.

    There's one way.

    God bless.

Genesis 3:14,15, just like then, the trick & deception was within twisting the WORDs. Genesis 3:1-4,

    Woman's seed = Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:26-37,

    Son of wickedness = 1Samuel 25:17, John 8, Luke 22:3, John 13:2,

    Matthew 4, Matthew 9:32-33, Matthew 23:25-39,

    Don't be in fear. 1John 4:18, Luke 12:5, Psalms 34:9, Exodus 20:20, James 4:7,

The enmity Jesus faced: John 19:6,

    Hello,

"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

Does it mean something that God says there will be enmity between the serpent and the woman, but leaves out "man"?

Also, "between thy seed" is worrisome. If the serpent is supposed to represent the devil (correct?) then this suggests that the devil can have children, can create other "devils". How is this typically interpreted?

    Just curious.

Ree. The body Genesis 3:19. Your soul when you take your last breath end of

Soul life or breath life. Animals have body and soul life also then the spirit if born

Again goes back to God who gave it. Also look at Ecclesiastes 9:5+6. Some

Believe soul and spirit are same biblically we are created formed made breath

In man which starts when ababy takes its first breath has nothing to do with

Eternal spirit from God his gift when born again. That's why Ephesians says we

Are born first time without God and without hope until born again.

Hi Karen. Yes, God could have stopped sin right from the beginning, when Adam & Eve were tempted to commit sin, God could have stepped right in & prevented that happening - indeed, God could have also destroyed Satan & saved all of us so much grief, bound for eternal agony. But you know what, if God did that then He wouldn't have allowed us to express the mental & spiritual resources He has given us. All His creation, including mankind, the angels & other beings in Heaven, would either be fully programed to not respond to evil or maybe unable to have the power of choice & the exercise of emotions of love, faith, etc. Yet, we are made in His Image - so our existence in the flesh must exude those qualities of God that He has placed in us. Sadly, sin has severely marred what God has put in us & so man in his sinful unregenerate state shows anything but godliness, serving his own lusts, lifting himself to a god-like status over others.

In Heaven, Lucifer, the covering cherub, was created holy, serving God. Then one day, "iniquity was found" in him ( Ezekiel 28:15). We're not told how one so holy managed to sin, but having the power to choose, as we also have, Satan's heart lifted with pride, he sinned, & he led Adam & Eve into the same trap ( Genesis 3:4,5: to believe they too can elevate their hearts & minds to the level of God). If God withheld from us the ability to choose, to use our minds to consider His Words, whether to remain true to Him or to pursue our own ways, then we would not have fulfilled His design & we would not have had the ability to demonstrate true affection from our wills. It would have just been a love coded into our design & a sinlessness not based on our desire to please our Creator. To be a human as God intended meant that Adam & Eve had to reject Satan's thrusts at every point in their lives - but would we afterwards have remained pure?

And so Jesus was sent to us - the great Plan for our spiritual restoration - from self, to God alone.

Thanks Henry for that explanation, however I looked at Genesis 2:25 & Genesis 3:7-10 again and couldn't find where God said that they were naked. I agree with A & E being sinless in chapter 2 but the comment that their nakedness alluded to their sinlessness & had nothing to do with their state of undress, seemed to go beyond the intent of the relevant Scriptures.
  • Chris - In Reply - 3 years ago
Hi Richard. Genesis 3:7-10 seem to indicate that Adam & Eve knew they were naked & when God called out to them, it was Adam (not God) who said that he was naked. If 'naked' means 'without sin' as you suggest, was Adam actually telling God that he was hiding from Him because he was sinless? This gets confusing.

You couldn't be more wrong GIGI!

Genesis 3:12 And the man Adam said,"The woman whom Thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat."

13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, "What is this that thou hast done?" And the woman said, "The serpent

[Satan] beguiled/wholly seduced me, and I did eat."

14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, "Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15 And I will put enmity/construct between thee and the woman, and between thy [Satan's] seed and her Seed; Christ shall bruise thy head [vital part], and thou shalt bruise His heel [lower part]."

16 Unto the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception [pregnancy]; in sorrow [painful

toil] thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be subject to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the SERPENT BEGUILED EVE THROUGH HIS SUBTILTY, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Who's the serpent? Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Matthew 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets

32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

It show's your ignorance of scripture.

Genesis 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, "What is this that thou hast done?" And the woman said, "The serpent

[Satan] beguiled me, and I did eat." beguiled means (wholey seduced) you do know what seduced means, right?

14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, "Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and

above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy [Satan's] seed and her Seed; Christ shall

bruise thy head [vital part], and thou shalt bruise His heel [lower part]."

16 Unto the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception [pregnancy]; in sorrow [painful

toil] thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be subject to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."

Did you read that? God will put emni

Satan knew that it was through Eve the woman's bloodline that Christ would eventually be born. This was Satan's first attempt in the flesh age, to destroy God's plan. Satan was trying to keep Eve's seed line from being brought forth, and so he deceived Eve where his own seed would be born

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Dear "Dgannett" i see that you have not received a reply for several days. I'm no expert, but i will try and guide you to the bookmark in any case.

I'm not quite sure how you use it, never done it myself. But look at the top of your PC, there you have a small star also together with an arrow and magnifying glass where you search on websites. If you hold the mouse on the little star, you will see that it is a bookmark symbol. Then you create a bookmark next to the tab you are on.

But if you are talking about a book such as the Holy Scriptures, you only need a note. I love my Bible and try to remember where i read last. This is to have a word and share with others. So you can train brain cells in many ways (smiley). Good luck and i hope you make it.

  • GiGi - In Reply on Genesis 3 - 3 years ago
I tend to agree that ultimately, death due to sin is really an expression of God's mercy, for the reasons you stated. On our side of this, we view death as a curse and a deep sorrow from loss of a loved one. Also, the act of dying can be very painful for some,, with much suffering. Others are blessed to go to sleep and die while sleeping. Don't we all wish for this to be what God chooses for us in our death!

But, God, in His wisdom, omniscience, and mercy chose death to be a part of His plan for man's salvation. He created man in order to save Him, as that was the plan from before creation. God had in creation a plan of redemptive history in time and space for mankind. He did not have this plan for Satan and his rebellious angels. They are forever damned and enslaved to sin. These angels were created to be the recipients of His wrath and condemnation for their own sin, without being given any repentance and grace. But for man, God had planned all along to create man in order to show the riches of His mercy and grace. Death, though it end one's life in this world, is truly a release from our own sinful nature and the means that God uses to bring believers into an eternal state of being with God. In order for there to be a resurrection, there needs to be a death, as God has determined.
  • God told them NOT to eat of the Two Trees - In Reply on Genesis 3 - 3 years ago
According to God's curses, Adam's and Eve's knowledge of good and evil would lead to great frustration, pain, and heartache. They would experience happiness and receive good gifts from God along the way, to be sure, but their days would be punctuated by conflict. In addition, their disobedience, knowing evil, meant that they and their offspring would be capable of continuing to commit great evil.

Although part of the curse, God's oracle that Adam would eventually die was also an act of mercy. Adam's hard life and ability to rebel against God and do harm to others would be limited-unless he ate from the Tree of Life. That would lead to an unending, hopeless existence separated from God.

Apparently, the fruit of the Tree of Life would provide physical immortality to Adam and Eve. For their own good and the good of all, God would not allow this. To be spiritually dead while remaining physically alive forever could only bring endless suffering. It's interesting to note that, depending on how one translated the original Hebrew, God doesn't appear to even finish His sentence before removing Adam and Eve from the garden in the next verse.

    Soul sleep debunked part 2.

There are some who mention the fact that we have passed from death to life ( 1 John 3:14); and other verses justifying that we have already experienced the "first resurrection". This; again is an eschatological attempt at justifying that there is no Millennial period (i.e. the church age fulfills all the prophecies); which is not the focus of analysis here.

There is validity in seeing the basic principle of Genesis 2:17 and its repercussions. Clearly; there was immediate spiritual death that occurred; and a later physical death that resulted from the ensuing corruption to the flesh that the fall set in motion. For a believer; we are sealed until the day of redemption ( Ephesians 4:30). He promises never to "leave or foresake us" ( Deut. 31:8; Hebrews 13:5).

We have a great "cloud of witnesses" ( Heb. 12:1-2) that are further described in the chapter. We have a High Priest now that ever intercedes ( Heb. 7:25 and other verses in that book). The basic idea here is that we are always "married to Christ" ( Romans 7:4). Because of these promises; we see that our physical resurrection si merely a process; simply in reverse of what happened in the garden. Our glorification is simply a done deal in God's mind after salvation along with sanctification ( Romans 8:30). In God's eyes; we were known from eternity and part of His plan ( Genesis 3:15). Therefore; it is all grace that saved Adam's helpless race.

  • Human versus not human-illegal spirits - In Reply on 1 Timothy 5 - 3 years ago
When Mary consented, the Holy Spirit overshadowed her and Jesus became human through her obedience.

Earth was created for man; for humans. Lucifer/Satan is not human. They are created by God, angels. God evicted Satan with his now evil angels to earth to roam. They are not human and have no bodies. They can borrow bodies of evil humans or creatures. I don't believe Satan had knowledge of what God was doing. He only knew Genesis 3:15.

When Jesus died on the Cross and shed his

Blood for Whosoever in John 3:16, the plan of God was now "in force". Genesis 3:15 was fulfilled.

Satan lost what he stole from Adam: authority. Wicked humans can give their authority to the Lord Jesus, or Satan. They must choose just one. We can only be born again through the shed blood of Jesus. He is the door and the narrow gate by which we are passed from spiritual death, into eternal life; and into heaven at death.

Satan is the one who hurts people. He is a Liar, a thief and a hunter of souls. He blinds people to their spiritual need of forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

Sometimes we get side-tracked by blaming God for difficulties in our lives. Death of people we loved, and many reasons. Satan causes misery and suffering. Jesus offers salvation from that. If our prayer life is active and strong in scripture, we can be healed even now, and delivered from satanic attacks (read book of Job).

Problem is if we don't study the Bible, we do not know what is available to us. Job was delivered from all the hurt Satan caused (loss of children, his wife's trust, property, livelihood; health etc). He gets it all back plus more, at the end of the story.

This is not a long dead story. It is scripture WE STAND ON when Praying to God concerning our needs. Concerning return of things eaten up by cankerworm and locust (curses and attacks from Satan).

Ephesians 6 clearly says Satan and evil spirits are INVISIBLE. We can spot them in our lives by their FRUITS.

    Brother chris:

and god replies at verse 14, i am that i am-i am

the whole bible is the gospel of the king(dom) of god, the old just a shadow of the new.

what does it mean when god says i am? i am: who are what?

the gospel is: there is only the life of god and truth of god ...... there is only: i am.... the king(dom) in you, his body.

man was predestinated to become the image of christ: romans 8:29

not many believe this, because man has demeaned the gospel of the king(dom) of god.

    ephesians 4:4 ....one spirit .......

    john 14:6 ..... "i am" life ......"i am" truth ....."i am" the way .....

revelation 3:12 ....and i will write upon him (my body) the name of my god .... i am (put your name here).

so now truth: i am; jesus christ.

i am; chris: the king(dom) in you.

i am: the being of every body.

ephesians 4:4 ....one spirit (the life of god) ....one body (man, that holds the life of god)....

revelation 3:8 ...and has not denied my name. i am (the life of every body)

i am; abraham, i am; isaac, i am; jacob ...i am; the life of man ...all creation is in birth pains waiting to be delivered: the new creation born again of (i am) truth.

1 corinthians 15:28 and when all things (in the ages to come) shall be subdued unto him, then shall the son also be subject unto him who put all things under him, that god (i am) may be all ("i am" life) in all (bodies).

genesis 3:22 ...behold man (the body of "i am") has become like us ....."i am" truth. life and the way.

we have to eat (i am) the tree of knowledge ....it contains both evil and good.

proverbs 16:6 by (i am) truth and (i am) mercy iniquity (deception) is purged .....

god will be all in all: isaiah 55:11

everyone; his children, is going to be called by his name.

    god bless you.

    Thanks Richard.

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

And he said, WHO TOLD THEE THAT THOU WAST NAKED? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

    Genesis 3:10-11.

We know by 1 Peter 1:19-20 That Christ was foreordained as the sacrificial Lamb to come into the world before it begun.

He was to be the atonement they needed for their sin.

It's interesting it was the tree of KNOWLEDGE of good and evil. It seems the issue was what would they do with that knowledge. ( Cover themselves)

That knowledge told them that they were naked. "Sinful or atleast capable of it".

Look What Satan tells Eve For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and YE SHALL BE AS GODS, KNOWING GOOD AND EVIL. Genesis 3:5

    God says

And the LORD God said, BEHOLD, THE MAN IS BECOME AS ONE OF US, TO KNOW GOOD AND EVIL: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Genesis 3:22

It seems to be a lot more significance in the RESULTS of the disobedience act than the disobedience itself.

    Listen to Adam.

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I WAS AFRAID, BECAUSE I WAS NAKED; and I hid myself. Genesis 3:10. "Not because I disobeyed! but I was naked.

    God bless.

GOD made coats of skin to cover their flesh because they were dying instantly. THEY WERE RAW FLESH. the coats of skin covered the flesh. that outer skin is a protection for the flesh if the skin is removed from the flesh the the body will die instantly no if or ands about it. example if you get BURNED the DOCTOR will have to draft skin from other parts of your body to cover the damaged part. if not the damaged part will develop infection and your time on earth will be cut short. skin to cover the flesh, layer 2 and 3. third degree burns is almost detrimental. EVEN the doctor doesn't mean you any good; lights out. the only chance you have is JESUS. YOU BETTER MAKE SURE YOU GOT HIM BEFORE YOU LEAVE THIS EARTH...PEACE my friend keep on keeping on. • Adam and Eve and the Tree of the Knowlege of Good and Evil - In Reply - 3 years ago
Eve ate of the tree of the Knowlege of Good and Evil. Then she gave to Adam to eat, and he did.

Adam now had a sin consciousnes. He also lost his Dominion on the earth. Satan took a serpents body to deceive Eve into doing it.

Humanity waited until Jesus was born in Bethlehem to Mary and Joseph. Jesus set aside his powers to be born HUMAN; all God and all human.

The reason being that EARTH WAS CREATED FOR HUMANS.

Skip up to the cross Jesus was crucified on, at no time did Satan think he'd not win. He did not know the Godhead's plan ( Romans 1:20). As a human, being crucified for the sins of all mankind that has or ever will live__Jesus fulfilled a prophesy made in Genesis 3:15. Jesus's death crushed Satans head (power). Satan was shocked when Jesus was resurrected on that 3rd day.

His only way to get back at Jesus is by hurting people Jesus died for; all people. If we are born again, as in John 3:5-7 and John 3:18

Jesus paid it all. All we have to do is believe it, accept it and pray for salvation.

There's a link out on the page you land on where you clicked a link to come in here. Find the one that says, Become A Believer. It has the prayer.

  • INHABITANTS ON EARTH - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 3 years ago
We know Satan and 1/3 of fallen angels were hurled to earth. No bodies. They take human bodies with permission.

EARTH WAS CREATED FOR HUMANS. Creatures, etc created to be food for the Humans.

This may trip you up: Jesus is God. Roman's 1:20. In the process of time and Jesus's ordained ancestors: by the Holy Spirit, He endured Mary's pregnancy and childbirth,

In order to be born into Earth as a Human. He was both God and Human. Scripture says He laid aside His Powers to be born human. He lived on earth just as we do. Then as we see Jesus was baptized by John. "All righteousness must be observed." He was Anointed by the Holy Spirit, Luke 4:18 ( Isa. 61). He had all of His Power he had to lay aside for 30 years.

Satan wasn't really sure this was HE of Genesis 3:15. If he had known the plan of God, he would've tried to kill Jesus.

Satan is a CREATED ANGEL. He's not human. He only had what he stole from Adam: dominion and authority. Jesus came to Get It Back, LEGALLY. Satan and evil angels do not have human bodies. They have to steal one.

Satan still thought He had won after Jesus died on the Cross for the sins of all mankind. Jesus was in the tomb, right? Things started going bad for Satan real quick. Jesus went to hell, took the Keys to death, grave and hell from Satan. Jesus opened the prison and took the prisoners through the streets of Jerusalem. People saw the long dead saints.

ON THE CROSS AS A HUMAN, Jesus legally won back Power, Authority and Dominion over Earth, FOREVER. He shares it with His True Born Again Believers. Us.

    After everything that is written is fulfilled, ALL prophesy;

Jesus will send Satan to the Lake of Fire. No more to be seen ever.

Knowing what's written in the Bible will make it easier for us; or something to be feared.

2 Peter 3, is the THE REST OF THE PLAN. You must be born again to see the Kingdom of God; to live with Jesus every day of eternity.

    Hello Mr. Adam Clark:

First and foremost are you saved by the blood of the crucified Jesus Christ in whom we received all treasures and knowledge by acknowledging the mystery of God and of the Father, of Christ His Son (One God in three persons-The Trinity)? Colossians 1:27-28 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

I just have noticed some contentions about this in some comments. We can talk about the end times but it is very important to ALL that they know 100% they are saved and that they are going to Heaven. Noticed even in the beginning God gave us the messages on the importance of the blood from Genesis to Revelation.

The LORD God must have sacrificed blood, for it maybe a lamb to make coats of skins to clothed Adam and Eve. Genesis 3:21

We also see the importance of blood sacrifices between Cain and Abel. Genesis 4:3 Understand the motive of Cain. He offered the fruit of the ground whereby Cain worked hard for it. Like saying to God "Look what I did". I say this because of v5. In v4 Abel was respected because of animal blood sacrificed. This story depicted not of what you do, God is interested in you acknowledging the blood which are examples of a type of what later Jesus Christ would do as our own lamb. Clearly here we are saved by the blood and not by works.

    Colossians 1:5; 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

You can read in Leviticus that they have to kill a lamb over and over again in order to get forgiveness of sins. Now look at Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Your soul being forgiven through blood. Revelation1:5;5:9. Are you saved by the blood of Jesus Christ?
