    Chris,

The information given concerning other "flesh," accounting for a male and female representative of each race to come aboard the Ark can be verified through Scripture. This can absolutely account for the other races of people on the earth after the flood of Noah's time, look at ( Genesis 6:17, 6:19, 7:15, 16, etc.).

The Strong's definition of "Gentile" is a "FOREIGN" nation from the nation of Israel. If there is no foreign nation to Israel because we are all from Adam, then what FOREIGN lands are the children of Noah proceeding into in Genesis 10:5? "By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations." Who are the "Gentiles"? How are the Gentiles a product of Adam if the Gentiles are FOREIGN to Adam? It can't be both ways.

The information concerning the "giants" being on the earth after the flood is also verified by Scripture in Genesis 6:4, "and also after that," also look at Numbers 13:33, Deuteronomy 3:11. If the "Sons of God" mentioned in Genesis 6:2, 4, are not fallen angels, then who do "giants" come from? Humans' mating with humans does not produce a giant.

If God said that "ALL FLESH" ( Genesis 6:17) would be destroyed that breathed the breath of life, how did the giants survive? Answer- because He told us they survived in Genesis 6:4. The great whales and sea creatures that breathe air survived, but we are not told that. We are told what we need to know. God uses both literal and figurative language, and it is our job to figure it all out. What we do know is that the word of God is the Truth.

How do we still have other races after the flood? The answer is because He has told us that throughout all of Scripture. God said that these nations of the earth would be against the nation of Israel for Israel's correction ( Isaiah 10:5), and that these nations would also be blessed at the end ( Isaiah 19:25).

    Chris,

Another popular theory among Bible students concerning the flood of Noah's time is offered to explain the fact that not only did the different ethnic races of humans survive the flood, but that the "giants" ( Genesis 6:4) that were upon the earth before the flood, also survived the flood. Giants are the product of fallen Angels mating with humans. They survived because Scripture states that they were upon the earth "also after that" ( Genesis 6:4), hence, after the flood of Noah's time occurred. More proof lies in the fact that David fought the GIANT Goliath approximately 2500 years later. This theory explains that the flood of Noah's time was only localized to that particular area in which Noah and the rest of the extended families of Adam lived, and migrated into. The flood was sent unto this specific area that was originally inhabited by the offspring of the fallen angels (rendered "sons of God" in Genesis 6:2, 4), and their families. They initially populated this particular land because their instruction was to come expressly unto the daughters of Adam, to "take them wives of all which they chose" ( Genesis 6:2), so that they could "bare children to them" ( Genesis 6:4), thereby intermixing and corrupting the seed line of the Messiah to the point of no return. These "giants," and their offspring, eventually may have settled outside the flood area, and subsequently were not a part of that destruction, also look at Genesis 12:6, 13:7, 15:19 - 21.

I believe that either, both, or a combination of these, and other possible scenarios that can be backed by Scripture, are the reason why all races are on the earth today.

I did not answer one of your initial questions concerning Noah and the Ark and who we are descendants from if only 8 souls aboard the Ark survived ( 1 Peter 3:20). Disclaimer: This might get lengthy and bring in other topics that may not be a part of mainstream Christian conclusions, so to speak. I am giving you a lot of info. I have a lot of time on my hands lately. Thanks for reading.

There are various ideas about how all races are still on the earth if the flood of Noah's time destroyed all life. What does Scripture say?

I would start by turning to Genesis 6:19. "And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female."

Our Father is letting us know that not only were there the eight Adamic souls ( 1Peter 3:20) instructed to enter the ark; Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives ( Genesis 6:18), but the command by God was to also bring two of "every living thing of ALL FLESH," which would include the other races of humans, on to the ark with him. They were to be brought "male and female" so that a seed line or remnant of these different races would remain after the flood.

The word "flesh" is derived from the Hebrew word "basar" (baw-sawr). It is used 27 times in the Book of Genesis. Only once is the word not identified with a human being in the Book of Genesis, look at Genesis 9:4. Of the 271 total times the word "flesh" is mentioned in the O.T., the Hebrew word "basar" (baw-sawr) is utilized for 257 of them, and is almost always representing human beings. When the word "flesh" does not represent man, it is easily identified as food; hence meat of some sort, whether living, raw, or cooked, as it does for the first time in ( Ex 12:8), also look at ( Ex 16:3, 8, 12, Lev 4:11, 18:7, etc.).

" Gen. 6:2 tells us who fathered the daughters...."The sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of men were fair, and they took wives of all they desired and chose". Jude 1:6 tells us what God did to these angels, "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day"."

No, every person is the the "Sons of God", only those who repent of their sins and ask Christ to come into their lives and follows His commandments are "Sons and Daughters of God". The angels are also referred to as Sons of God.

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

    Genesis 6:1-4

The sons of GOD ARE INDEED Angels, this is referenced in Jude as well. So, 1st Enoch may be missing from our translations. GOD YHWH is the ONLY TRUE AND HOLY JUDGE.

Actually the first covenant was with Noah

Genesis 6:18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.

Genesis Chapter 9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

12 And God said, This [is] the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that [is] with you, for perpetual generations:

13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

Why isn't this verse being associated with Israel's rebirth Mathew 24:34, along with Jesus' comment regarding "as in the days of Noah" in Mathew 24:37. Additionally, Daniel 12:4 says "knowledge will increase" and Daniel 12:10 says "the wise shall understand." Modern Biological, medical, and Nutritional experts say human body can live 120 years when taken care ofproperly.
  • Mishael on abortion gay rights on Revelation 14 - 6 years ago
In reference to abortion: many scriptures on the unborn. You shall know the Truth and the truth will set you free.

Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life!

If humanity doesn't go right into pre-Revelation events, then we are in trouble on many fronts. This generation Aborted their future. Social security, Medicare, etc. will probably go belly up because those future tax payers and voters, were aborted. Already college tuitions are sky high because your fellow class mates were aborted. Now we have a stock market gone flatline or quivering.

People storm the streets and State capitals to demand that the killing continue. Clueless about how they are going to finance their old age.

What does a Holy God do about this?

Gays, Homosexual, transgenders are really clueless about Gods response to that. They don't care...or maybe they do?

All I know is that in Genesis, He created them male and female, and called it Very Good. There wasn't a maybe in the chapter; or a mistake. Whatever is on your birth certificate is what you are.

Genesis 2;24-25 is the first recorded marriage between Adam & Eve. See Psalm 45:10 also.

Genesis 6:4 the evil angels with Satan, married human women and made Giants.

Genesis 6:6,12, people had managed to corrupt humankind.

Genesis 6:7 God decides to destroy all his previous creation. He saved a God fearing remnant composed of Noah, his family, and animals on the Ark.

Genesis 11:Nimrod decides to build the Tower of Babel so he can have his house next door to God so he can flaunt his sin right in Gods face.

Genesis 11:7. The LET US (triune Godhead), confused the one language into many! Lol

People moved away to other countries so they could speak only their language. Easy fix for God.

It's the rock headed people who are sure they can overwhelm God unto giving up.

I don't think so. God's going to rapture born again people off this rock; and let this rock BURN. 2 Peter 3:10

    Get born again NOW! Repent

This is a very interesting chapter of the bible concerning Adam and Eve being the only ones in the Garden.

Ezekiel 31:3 Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.

4 The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.

5 Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.

6 All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations.

7 Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his branches: for his root was by great waters.

8 The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chesnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty.

9 I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him. (Family trees? Trees have emotions, like envy?)

S yes Satan was an angel and then he sinned

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that OLD SERPENT old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Luke 3:38 Adam is called a son of God but he sinned then sin separated Adam and his wife and offspring from God. By Jesus only can you become a son of God.

Wasn't the devil the one that used the serpent.

Wasn't the devil an angel before he sinned?
  • S - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 6 years ago
No.Adam and Eve were the first humans. Adam called Eve the mother of all living.
  • S - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 6 years ago

  • Mishael - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 6 years ago
In Bible genealogies, daughters were not recorded there unless they were in the direct bloodline of Jesus Christ. Genesis ch 5:4 days after Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years & had other sons and daughters. Seth lived 907 years & had sons & daughters. My GUESS is that cousins married.

Arriving at chapter 6, Satan's angels that got kicked out of heaven with him, started taking wives from Adams lineage. They were giants (like Goliath). Scientists have actually excavated skeletons of them.

Genesis 6:5-7, God was grieved at his heart that he had made man.

Enter Noah. Genealogy picked back up through Noah's decendents. Genesis 9:18

You have to read and take notes about all the Genealogy. God keeps track of all humans born in a book. Even the ones who didn't get born. All the days of our life is recorded in a book: miscarriages, abortions and live births. There's a scripture in Psalms that God oversaw the child being knit together in the womb, in secret. It's incredible to think about
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 6 years ago
Gordon The bible does not indicate there were angels prior to Genesis 6. So my answer would be no.

But there were giants after the flood think David and Goliath and the philistines.

  • Tommy Sullivan - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 6 years ago
Actually Sons of God in Hebrew means Bene ha elohim, which only refers to angelic beings. And the elohim means God, and all angels has the name of God (Elohim) within the meaning of their names. And this is how Giants even came into being. They can't be Giants if there is a spiritual union between to regular humans. The angels left their habitation to come to earth and have sex with the daughters of man ( ha Adam) and or the daughters of Cain. And this union created Nephilim...the Men of Renown.

Is it not really disheartening to see mankind exchanging the truth of God, for the lie, and worshipping and serving the creature rather than the Creator? ( Romans 1:25) As God does not wish that any should perish but that all should come to repentance ( 2 Peter 3:9), hence this pandemics, which is reminiscent of the Noahic dispensations, where it was only Noah that found grace in the eyes of the LORD ( Genesis 6:1-8) May you find grace in the sight of God in this trying period of our life IJN Amen

One of satans other names is: DESTROYER. He is the ACCUSER of the brethren. He is a murderer, a liar. Revelation 12:10, Job chapter 1-2; Zechariah

Actually in Isaiah chapter 14:12-16, satan says I WILL 5 times!

One of satans other names is: DESTROYER.

There is the Will Of God. God gave FREE WILL to Adam and Eve.

But there is another will operating that is not a part of Gods purpose for earth or mankind. I think when satan was kicked out of Heaven, he retained his WILL.

Don't blame God for the bad things that happen to you and others. We have Jesus now. I look at Job and he was a righteous man. Keep yourself & family soaked in prayer! Be alert

RC that is the best explanation I have ever heard of repentance.
well done. Mark 1:15 - .... Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,......And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Mark 6:12 - And they 12 apostles went out, and preached that men should repent.
Jesus speaking in Luke 13:3 - I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
  • RC on Genesis 6:6 - 6 years ago
There is no discrepancy in God's Word. In regard to God's repenting because He created man in earth was not because of God sinning as man does. God cannot sin. Repentance is being sorrowful in your heart for human sin (disobeying God). God was sorrowful for His creation, not GOD sinning. Thank God, Jesus paid the price for OUR sin...He was without sin....God loved us (creation) enough to make way to be with Him through the Cross and Blood of His pure Son. Today repent for your sin, ask Jesus to save you, believe in your heart He died and rose again and confess Him as your Lord and Savior. Saved by grace..a gift from God...God with us..Thank You Lord Jesus!!!

I am certain to many individuals are dependent upon others to tell him/her what God's word means. While this may be accurate in many cases it is no substitute for the person to read God's Holy Word thereby knowing when someone attempts to lead him/her astray. This may or may not be purposefully intended. However, when dealing with God's Word there is no room for error! This may partly be why Linda seems to be so uncertain. The Lord tells us to study to make ourselves worthy. We must study to know and understand the Word of God.
  • Brenda - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 6 years ago
Hi again Linda. God owns the Ark. Based upon recent research it appears the Ark has not been definitely located. Yes, the Ark was built by Noah, and his sons, wife, and daughters-in-law. I believe this building was made possible because God made it possible. Noah's faith was non failing as people of the time laughed, and made fun of this family. Trust and faith in God is something one must read about often (daily). May I ask if you are a reader of the KJV Bible? What is your status in respect to being a believer or not. I am a firm believer in God The Father, Christ, Son of The Living God, and the Holy Spirit. There is no other way to find salvation.
  • Brenda - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 6 years ago
Ethan, I responded to the lady whom stated Noah did not build The Ark. We know he did because we read our Bible. I requested this woman read the book of Genesis (KJV Bible), and get back to me. Not sure where this person is coming from. Just wanted to provide her with facts and where to find them. God bless you and yours.
  • Brenda - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 6 years ago
I do know that God lives inside the hearts and soul of his children. I assure you Noah did indeed build The Ark! Each detail from the largest to the smallest was given to Noah from God. This entire vision, along with instruction to Noah is discussed in detail in the book of Genesis (KJV Holy Bible). Please review this, and let me know your thoughts on this topic. God bless you!
