The key to verse 21 of chapter 1 in James is "The Engrafted Word ". Only when the Word of God becomes part of you will you have the power to overcome sin. otherwise you will find yourself sinning with helpless regularity. I 've had people tell me, "I know I need to get into the Word more " and I always reply, "no! you need to get the Word into you " that 's the difference that James is telling his Hebrew brethren. You know the Word of God intellectually but you are not doing the Word of God! That is where we find Christians who can 't seem to ever get a break or a blessing in their life. They are not doing the Word of God, otherwise, making it a part of practical living. When the Word of God is grafted into your being so much so that you do the Word of God it will manifest in less sin and a multitude of life blessings. Jesus said, "If you know these things, happy are ye if you do them " John 13 17.

when we know who we are in CHRIST we can live VICTORIOUS By obeyin the word as we hear it kind of removes the fog from our eyes so that we see our self in GOD. when we dont obey we lose sight of who we are and become confused about were we stand. Be ye doers of the WORD...

i think only the devol can tempt us not God

James 1 shows every living person who they are and opens the heart to accept the truth about oneself. This chapter is indeed an eye opener to the one who see his of her condition when tempted or tried. You have to come to the conclusion well, yes, this is me. Then and only then the changing process will begin in one 's life if you want to change. EASY AS THAT.

I have been going thru health issues and began reading james, and it speaks so clearly in verse 2.just want I needed to hear. Praise God for his clarity to my heart.

I love the book of james because it speaks directly to belivers all over the world to be practical on the word they have received without doubt , for all is well if you trust and persevere. Amen

Every temptation only lasts for 45 seconds But if I sort of go with feeding that temptation it will last longer and be harder to resist to not go with it Temptation is in many areas food anger overworking underworking jealousy Movies cars sex outside of marriage etc To endure and overcome I will receive a crown of life I like life and living in the Lord Jesus

I believe that if you read the Word of God everyday it not only will you get close to God but that you will save your soul which is your mind by renewing your mind DAILY with his word
