I think this verse says a lot. Patience is perfect not saying that we are, but it can work a perfect work in us! It can make us humble. Patience is a virtue. Patience is righteousness so to have patience you are showing that you are having faith and trying to be righteous. Its hard to be patient at times but its worth it. Gods timing is NEVER wrong that's why I ended up here to remind myself patience is not saying no but just waiting for the right timing!> : ) God bless

I think the book of James is a book all us should read I start to say us christians but I think James is for the sinner to the reason I say that is we need to really understand this book especially the first chapter so we will know that it not GOD who temp us but our unrooted selfs give in by our own lustful mine that's why sometime Satan can put thoughts in our mine and if we are weak sin come in so we need to be rooted in the word and use it when we meet these kind of temptation or any other hinderant situation

Verses 13-15 shows that we can not always blame others for the things we do. A lot of people like to blame God or say "the Devil made me do it" but this verse shows the need to take personal responsibility. A wrong desire can start to build in a person's heart and then when the opportunity presents itself, this person can give into that wrong desire and thus sin. This is a progressive process that needs to be curbed as early as possible to avoid disastrous results. This requires that we take an honest self-examination of ourselves and see which areas we need to work on.

Zachary's 'James' is also agreeable. There are many aplicable messages in just these few veres in the first Ch. I like the way Zachary put it well said Zack

God is merciful to those who obeyhis word. God does not tempt us, but allows us to be tempted but not above that which we can manage, and life is not easy, it was not ment to be. But if we obey God and his Son Jesus Christ and stay in the 'great race for the goal' we will be rewarded greatly by our Father in heaven on the day of our judgement and we will receive the ultimate grace of our Father God. The 'Great Promise', and God never breaks His promises.

i think in the book of James you learn that before you can fix your bad habits you must first clean your heart- before you can change the world you must first change yourself.

I think the book of James is a book to be read by Christians always, because is a book necessary for christian maturity.

In my own reason james is saying dat it is good to a man to stay away fro sin which our God has order us rigth from begining

Wisdom to understand why we are going through situations is lacked in many christians, hence christians so often respond to many situations carnally. God gives without holding back anything for the good of His children. All we need to do is ask in faith and in faith believe that you have received it.

One of the definitions of faith is belief, trust in and loyalty to God. Patience is defined as bearing pains of trials calmly or without complaint and also defined as steadfast despite opposition, difficulty or adversity.

Lord, help us to be doers of the word and not hearers only

Unspotted means anonymous, your father in heaven knows and will reward you. Good people I have known, there good deeds bear the testimony.Why would we want others to know the good things we do, helping the needy. James and Paul give great instruction for the Christian life. James gives us some of the answers that all Christians have asked..."Where are the instructions on how I live this life every day?" Thank you for God's living and breathing word in James.

The Book of James is the new testament's Proverbs. It's a guide that tells us exactly what we need to do, when we need to do it, and how we need to do it! God has given us our "daily bread" in James and as the word says, we need daily bread to survive. So let us continue to feed our "spirit" daily by reading and applying the Book of James to all that we think, say, and do. AMEN!

23 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Verse 23 reads like "works" I mean it's some thing that you DO. Be DOERS of the WORD. OR obey Gods Word.I've never understood the thinking of those who down play works. Works is essential to salvation, in other words, man DOES the works of God. WHY is it sooo important to be a DOER of the Gods word??? Verse 24 tells us why.




24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

The book of James is call " The Book Of LIfe", because it have everything to help us in life, to keep us strong, and remembering who we are,dontbe double minded, doers of the word, lack wisdom ask God,dont have weavering faith,dont think to much of one self,. everything we need is in this book of James.

The scripture provides courage and confidence.
