I'm not interested in your speculation.

I speculated the same things myself.

I suggested: if one invites a Jew to dinner, they should not serve pork.

    Then, I heard this message:

"Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols." Revelation 2:20

Jesus and the Holy Ghost teache the entire Church of God:

Christians must abstain from eating meats offered to idols.

"Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears,

ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye." Acts 7:51

    Amen Brother Jesse.

We can take those messages right down where the rubber meets the road. They are also messages to the individual.

( HE THAT HATH AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAITH UNTO THE CHURCHES; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.) Revelation 2:7.

    God bless.

You're right. There are some useful videos on YouTube about the Jezebel Spirit. It is demonic. It likes to seduce men of power or authority. It goes after women as much as it does the men. You could talk to your Pastor about a future teaching on this.

The Bible warns us to be alert.

Greek translation of Biblical in the Gospels= (Internet research ) Greek = "Metaonia" - "meta" = "after", bears the concept of "shift", or "change",

Repent= the act of leaving what GOD prohibited & returning to what HE commanded.

    Revelation 2:5, Matthew 3:2, Luke 13:3-9, Exodus 20:14,

Where does it say to be sorry, because of our trespass?

Remember the woman: John 8:1-12, Psalms 130:4,

    James 2, Matthew 25:31-46, Ezekiel 33:11,

    Luke 9:23, Matthew 16:24, Mark 8:34, Romans 8:13, Matthew 10:28, Colossians 1:10-23, Ephesians 5:1-20, Jude 1:24-25,

    Hopefully these are helpful
  • Psalm 11:3 FOUNDATION meaning - In Reply on Psalms 11 - 4 years ago
This verse is often cited when referring to the collapse of godly authority. The Hebrew phrasing here can be taken in more than one way. This is most often translated as asking "if-or when-this happens, what can good people then do?" Another possibility is to render this as asking "what have good people accomplished?" In either case, this verse warns of catastrophic results when fundamental principles are destroyed. In David's immediate case, this refers to his role as Israel's king and the consequences of abandoning that role. In a more general sense, it speaks to the ruin a society will face when the most basic aspects of godliness are removed.

David knew what would happen if the enemy triumphed. Because he was Israel's king, if the enemy succeeded, the nation's very foundations would be destroyed. Law and order grounded in righteousness and justice, under the headship of the godly king, would crumble. Evil and chaos would ensue. What could the righteous do in such a situation? Of course, David believed he would prevail. He was sure that law and order would continue. His trust was in the Lord ( Psalm 11:4), therefore he was confident the enemy would not triumph.

Years later, God allowed Babylon to carry Israel into captivity because of her idolatry and neglect of the Sabbath. In both a symbolic and literal sense, the foundations were destroyed-including the demolition of the temple from its cornerstones. But in his perfect timing, God raised up Ezra to return to Jerusalem and lay the foundation ( Ezra 3). If doctrinal error destroys a church's foundation of truth, believers must restore the foundation before any healing can happen. Congregations must heed the Lord's admonitions to be and do what He desires ( Revelation 2:3)

The foundation of law and must be repaired and supported by the God loving community.

The more I read the entire Bible after the wisdom and knowledge hidden treasures from God, and of the Father, and of Jesus Christ, I do believe the seven churches refers to the true believers. One must examine their own self. You will find that the prophesy applies to all true believers. Otherwise, John would not write all the warnings given by God.

I testify fully how the words speak to me. I walk only in the Spirit of God after the knowledge of the blood Jesus did to redeem me knowing I am a sinner according to the law.

My fellow bride of Christ, the time is short. I see and talked to people about the truth according to what is written only in the KJV Bible. We cannot make them see what we see and read.

I would ask a fervent prayers and fasting for saving as many as we can saved.

I was just looking for more believers to do these prayers and fasting with me until Jesus comes in the cloud.

Giannis, let's look at Christ's words and come to a deeper meaning of:

    Matthew 7:21-23

You and I and all mankind were born as sinful flesh, not knowing the truth of God.

Christ came, in the flesh, as sinful flesh.

It, SINFUL FLESH, DIED with Christ on HIS CROSS. You and I and all mankind DIED on the cross with Christ.

Three days latter Christ arose with a NEW BODY, we also shared in Christ resurrection, we now are that LIFE.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy IS HE that hath HIS PART in the first resurrection,...

It is no longer, YOU and I as sinful flesh, but that ONE LIFE of Christ in now, US ALSO.

We are just the body, Christ is THE LIFE, therefore everything we do and say and think is actually THE LIFE of Christ causing it. We are being created in the image of Christ.

Christ is also a body, and the LIFE of the Father is HIS (Christ's) LIFE, HIS (Christ's) WORDS, HIS (Christ's works) WORKS.

Christ said, it's not my words but my Father's words, it's not my works but my Father's works, Of MYSELF I CAN DO NOTHING.

Christ said, I am the vine, you are the branches, without me (MY LIFE) you can do nothing.

Colossians 1:27 ...this mystery ..... (the LIFE) CHRIST IN YOU .....

Philippians 2:13 For it is God that worketh IN YOU (you died on the cross and became a new creation, you and Christ as ONE) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcomrth and keepeth MY WORKS .....

And they will say in that day, Lord did not WE, and he will say depart for it was not you but ME.

Most believe that have life of themselves, but the word says life is only in the SRIRIT.

We are just the body that does the labour of CHRIST, THE LIFE.

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God (LIFE and TRUTH) doth not commit sin; for HIS SEED remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Christ's LIFE became your LIFE, and Christ cannot sin.

Ben: Does Christ blood COVER only SOME or does it COVER ALL.

Psalms 22:27 And all the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

There are going to remember when they are resurrected back to their flesh and judged by Christ and his ELECT.

Isaiah 26:9 ....for when thy judgements are in the earth; the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Christ judgements are not yet in the earth:

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature (creation) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of GOD.

Romans 8:21 For the creature (creation) ITSELF also SHALL BE DELIVERED into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth MY WORKS until the end, to him will I give power over the nation:

Revelation 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessel of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when ALL THINGS SHALL BE SUBDUED UNTO HIM (at judgement), then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that GOD (SPIRIT, LIFE, TRUTH) may be ALL IN ALL.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we believe in the living God, who is the SAVIOUR OF ALL MEN (even those saved at judgement), especially those that believe (during the age of grace).

GBU as we come to the TRUTH of God's words.

    Hi Jesse,

Thanks for your input and God bless.

Before I take off, Just want to leave you with this. The word of God declares in Revelation 2:10

    King James Version

10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

John was cast into prison and we are not told in the word what the conditions and situation in prison were. Howbeit, we later read and understood that "John the Baptists" was beheaded through the instrumentality of Herodias.

Nevertheless, the scripture again tell us in the same Book of Revelation 20:4

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

Whatever the case concerning John the Baptists, I reckon he was Spirit filled, and endowed with the knowledge of the Word of God. HIs dilemma could not have been any pressure from the Prince of darkness (Satan) the Devil that he succumbed to.

Let me leave you with this verse from the Book of Deuteronomy.

    Deuteronomy 29:29

    King James Version

29 The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

God knows why and what John the Baptists, was going through. When we meet him, we will get to know because he'll revealed everything to us. (His children).

Kay, is it your faith, or Christ faith: that has been given to you. If it's is his faith then it has to be HIS WORKS also.

Psalms 92:4 For thou Lord, has made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

Psalms 92:3 O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

Psalms 92:4 A brutish man knoweth not, nor doeth a fool understand this.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth MY WORKS unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations.

Revelation 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

Kay, we died on the cross, the life now in us is Christ.

Colossians 1:27 .... this mystery.... CHRIST IN YOU....

Philippians 2:13 For it is God (CHRIST IN YOU) that WORKETH IN YOU both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

We are the body of Christ.

Psalms 104:30 Thou (Father) sendeth forth thy Spirit (Christ in you), they are created, thou renewest the face of the earth (with son's of God).

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature WAITETH for the manifestation of the Sons of God.

Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself shall be DELIVERED from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

The seven churches in Revelation 1:4 were actual churches in that region in that day. So the Lord is giving messages specifically for these seven. But they are not the only churches in these areas.

It is kind of interesting that if you do a little digging, you will find that each one of these cities is the head of the postal district in that area. So these are the main cities within their districts.

And there are other churches around, but the Lord picked out seven. And again, each church has its own problems, and each church has its own good points.

But everybody's church today has some of these things in it. In fact, if you put them all together, you would have the complete seven messages to the church before Christ comes back.

It tells us in Revelation 1:20 that the seven stars are the seven angels of these 7 churches.

I believe the differences comes from these scriptures : Matthew 5:16, Matthew 7:21-29, Revelation 2:23, Revelation 20:13, Matthew 25:31-46,

Even Jesus did works: Matthew 11:2, Luke 19:37, & said greater works we shall do. John 14:20,

    Matthew 16:27,

Matthew 23:3,5,23, hypocrisy not ok, you can read whole chapter & those chapters around it for context. John 8:39,

Romans 3:27-28, helps clarify, 'law of faith' Romans 4, Romans 9:30-33,

What is argued is: Romans 11:6, but in context it's the grace extended to Gentiles Romans 11:16-27, also read whole chapter Romans 11,

& Galatians 2:16, "knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.'' the works of the law are in Gen. Exodus, Deuteronomy, Leviticus. Galatians 3,

    & Galatians 2:8,9, but we can't ignore Galatians 2:10,

    & 2Timothy 1:9 , Titus 3, Hebrews 4, Hebrews 4:11,

    However again we can't ignore 2Timothy 3:16-17, Titus 1:15,16, Titus 2, Hebrews 10:24, James 3:13, 1Peter 2:12, Revelation 2:26,

    Gloria,

Revelation 4:4 says "And round about the throne were four and twenty seats, or literally thrones, 24 thrones: and upon the thrones I saw twenty four sitting, (Characteristic), clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

The white raiment is found in Revelation 3:5. And the crowns of gold is promised to believers ( Revelation 2:10).

There are 404 verses in the book of Revelation, and there are over 800 allusions and direct quotes from the Old Testament. The book of Revelation is a piece of Jewish Literature. And it must be understood by the symbols and the presentations that we receive from the Tanak (The Old Testament).

So there are 24 elders sitting on 24 thrones. In 2 Chronicles Chapters 24 and 25, this is where it is listed for us that where David began the courses of priests, and he assigned 24 courses of priests, that they would serve throughout the year so that the priesthood is covered. And all the people are covered, and they are called courses, 24 courses of priests.

Now 24 in Jewish Literature has to do with a perfection in covering, 24 courses to cover all of the people, and to cover all of the calendar for the twelve months.

And so here are 24 elders. Many believe the elders, who are of the church, clothed in white raiment (The promise to believers), and they have crowns of gold upon their heads, again evidence of the reward to believers.

And some believe that this is the representation of both the Old and the New Testament, the entire church, both Jew and Gentile, with the elders and the 24 courses, or 24 elders that are sitting.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Bonnie,

The words Jew and Gentile; The word Gentile used from Hebrew goy and nokhri and Greek thn. Gentile is derived from the Latin word gentilis, meaning belonging to a clan, a family, a nation, and people, and even those not Roman citizens. In both Hebrew and Greek, there is no word even approaching the way Gentile is used today. In the bible, the same Hebrew word was translated nations, heathen, Gentiles, and people, and the Greek word was translated the same even when it is about the Israelites.

The term Jew did not even appear until the southern kingdom of Judah was taken captive to Babylon. Jew is an abbreviated slang term for Judahite, a resident of the southern kingdom of Judah. I have heard people refer to Abraham as a Jew and the Israelites in Egypt before the exodus as Jews. All who are of the Jewish religion are not jews as is thought today.

We see in Revelation 2:9 and Revelation 3:9 Jesus does not care for those who call themselves Jews when they are not. Jesus came from the tribe of Judah Isaiah 11:1-10 2 Timothy.2:8 Revelation 5:5. Jesus is our high priest not from the tribe of Levi but of the tribe of Judah, Hebrews 7:11-15. From the tribe of Judah, our Lord's new high priesthood signals a change from the Old to the New Covenant, a new order.

Some argue that under Mosaic law, tribal affiliation is through the birth father only. There is one case we can see in Numbers 27:4-8 if Mary had no brothers her father's inheritance would pass to her. Jesus through her will be counted of the tribe of Judah. If we cannot accept Jesus being from the tribe of Judah, we cannot accept Him as our savior who gave His life for us.

There is more but may this help.

    God bless,

    GiGi,

Here is a true to the letter fulfillment of prophesy:

Early on, God warned both houses of Israel (Judah & Israel) if they broke His statutes they would be punished 7 times (7 x 360 days/years = 2,520 years), according to ( Leviticus 26:18).

    1) The house of Israel was taken into captivity by Assyria in 721 BC + 2,520 years = 1,799 when (Ephraim) became strong as the British empire, and eventually America (Manasseh) became that great city ( Genesis 48:16-20).

    2) Then, 117 years later, the house of Judah was taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon in 604 BC +2,520 years = 1917. This happened to the day and hour of singing the Balfour Declaration, releasing Judah on 11/2/17!!! Britain (Rothschild) effectively bought the Ashkenazim ( Revelation 2:9) a home on land they had no claim to ( Genesis 10:2-3). The Times of Israel ran a full page article detailing the story, so this fact is not disputed.

The lead house of Israel tribes (Ephraim, Manasseh, sons of Joseph) are the birthright people (land, wealth) per their Genesis 48 blessing. And that is how prophesy is fulfilled.

Everyone's faith in Jesus will be tested. No one is exempt. We don't get a pass. Not even me. Question is, will we abandon our faith?

Jesus said John the Baptist was one of the greatest men born. But he was thrown into a dungeon, chained, abandoned in the dark. Read his story. He was so shook, he began to doubt. He asked his disciples if Jesus was the One? They told him what Jesus said to say: people are healed, the lame walk, the blind see__

John was eventually beheaded. His head given to a dancing girl.

We must be steadfast in our faith to the end; and strengthen others who are staggering in their problems. Encourage and Edify. There will be a reward in Heaven.

    THE CROWN OF LIFE:

Jesus says that He will give this crown to those who undergo severe hardship, testing, tribulation and/or physical death on His behalf. Probably being willing to die for your faith in God would be the ultimate sacrifice. It is the greatest actof courage and love that you can show God.Christians who have been martyred for their faith throughout history will not only be given this crown of life, but other rewards once they enter into heaven. The Bible says,"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." James 1:12 God the Father will honour each ones trials and tribulations and thus will be rewarding them accordingly. Look at this verse,"Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." Revelation 2:10

Hebrews is a record of Christians who lived and died in their faith, in Christ.

Our forever home is heaven with Jesus we can see and touch.

Earth is surely going to pass away and be renewed by God. Just for us! So hang on.

Followers of Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch: The perverse mixing of idol worship, sacrificing to idols of food and perverse sex acts combined after He was one of the 7 who were of Stephen appointed to wait tables to serve the widows in the church he is mentioned in Acts 6:5 Paul wrote that some who were of us went out from among us.

    Nicolaitans:

(followers of Nicolas) a sect mentioned in Revelation 2:6; 2:15 whose deeds were strongly condemned. They may have been identical with those who held the doctrine of Balaam. They seem to have held that it was lawful to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication, in opposition to the decree of the Church rendered in Acts 15:20; 15:29. The teachers of the Church branded them with a name which expressed their true character. The men who did and taught such things were followers of Balaam ( 2 Peter 2:15; Jude 1:11). They, like the false prophet of Pethor, united brave words with evil deeds. In a time of persecution, when the eating or not eating of things sacrificed to idols was more than ever a crucial test of faithfulness, they persuaded men more than ever that was a thing indifferent ( Revelation 2:13-14). This was bad enough, but there was a yet worse evil. Mingling themselves in the orgies of idolatrous feasts, they brought the impurities of those feasts into the meetings of the Christian Church. And all this was done, it must be remembered not simply as an indulgence of appetite: but as a part of a system, supported by a "doctrine," accompanied by the boast of a prophetic illumination ( 2 Peter 2:1). It confirms the view which has been taken of their character to find that stress is laid in the first instance on the "deeds" of the Nicolaitans. To hate those deeds is a sign of life in a Church that otherwise is weak and faithless ( Revelation 2:6). To tolerate them is well nigh to forfeit the glory of having been faithful under persecution ( Revelation 2:14-15).
