Father, please send your blessings to all that believe the gospel of grace for Salvation. May you give us peace and Love.

Will Apostle Paul be Raptured up first to meet Jesus Christ in the clouds or was Apostle Paul the firstfruits to be resurrected ? ?

    1 Corinthians 15:23

But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

The key word is " we ". Apostle Paul will be Rapture up first in the dead in Christ to go up in the clouds and become the Harvest.

    1 Corinthians 15:52

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Grace was given to Apostle Paul first.

    Romans 12:3

For I say, through thegracegivenunto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Ray, in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 may we all see Jesus Christ for believing the gospel of grace

There is no prophecy in Apostle Paul's epistle for Israel promises or any happening during that dispensation of time. Prophecy is speaking the word for there was not the complete written Bible.

    1 Corinthians 14:5

I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that yeprophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

    Romans 12:6

    Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whetherprophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

    1 Corinthians 13:2

And though I have the gift ofprophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

    1 Timothy 4:14

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee byprophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Ray, in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Fuji, remember I told you be not afraid, it's the evil spirit around us that keeps attacking. God wants us to fear him in a good way.

    Matthew 10:28

Andfearnot them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but ratherfearhim which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

We can learn from fearing God. God knows how much we can handle.

    Proverbs 1:7

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction."

Fuji, I know that you are a man of God, your kind words saids it all. There's no lies or hurt of words , it spreading the truth of the gospel.

Just maybe your hearing something different and don't understand. I keep showing the scriptures to back up what I say. Please go over it again and maybe you might see it make sense, just please think about.

Remember, I am only here to spread the good news that was given to Apostle Paul for the Gentiles.

    Romans 12:3

For I say, through the gracegivenunto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

May God brings peace and Love to us all for the gospel of grace .

Ray, in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 there is no fear in the gospel of grace, it's love in believing

Hi Malekani , that was a very interesting study. As a Christian in Christ Jesus, I am still sinning and it will probably be like that until I loose this sinful body. You see, Apostle Paul had the same problem too, this body and spirit gets dirty, so we need a cleansing. Some would say, " I don't sin any more, I am made perfect ", I know it's not true. But one day we that are saved by believing the gospel will have a new body , fashion like Christ Jesus.

    Please, Enjoy my Bible study.

Apostle Paul is the first sinner saved by grace and the doctrine of grace was given to Apostle Paul first.

    Romans 1:5

By whom we have receivedgraceand apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

    1 Timothy 1:15

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I amchief.

    1 Corinthians 15:9

For I amtheleastoftheapostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecutedthechurchofGod.

    Romans 12:3

For I say, through thegracegivenuntome, toevery man that is among you, nottothink of himself more highly than he oughttothink; buttothink soberly, according as God hath dealttoevery man themeasure of faith.

Ray , in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 we are not sinners because we sin, we are sinners because we born sinners.

    (Philippians Part 13):

Philippians 3:15 - Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, and that's the word mature. Let us therefore, as many as be mature, be thus minded:

That's the frame of mind, the attitude. What is he saying? Let them have the same attitude as Paul, the same frame of mind, that when I approach this life, I am only pursuing one thing, to know Christ and to lay hold of that for which Christ has laid ahold of me.

And if any thing you be otherwise minded, God shall reveal this unto you. If you just read the first 13 verses of this chapter, and if you say you don't fit into that, then God has revealed to you that you are not like minded. Your frame of mind is different than Paul's and the Lord's.

Remember, and I think I shared this from Romans, but in Romans 12:1-2, it tells us that we are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, to be not conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Over a period of years, God's Spirit through His word changes our minds, our approach to this life, and our approach to Christ.

    GOD'S WRATH

    Next section

    Pt. 1

THE WRATH OF GOD AND THE GOSPEL

God's wrath, however, is not the main message of the gospel, it is the precursor of preaching the gospel. For who can wish to turn from their sin if they do not know of God's righteous, terrible wrath upon every sinner. Knowing that one is a sinner and under God's wrath is the very reason to believe the gospel, for it is our only hope for rescue from God's wrath and for receiving eternal life that is full of love, joy, and peace and celebration in God's Presence without sin in us any longer! The gospel cannot be understood rightly apart from knowing about God's wrath upon sinners.

The true eternal reality of heaven and hell cannot be understood without a proper understanding of God's holiness, purity, and separation from all sin, perfect justice, and righteous wrath. God's wrath magnifies His holiness and love which hangs upon His moral perfection. Similarly, the undeserved mercy of God upon those He chose to become of vessels of His grace and favor for His glory is correctly seen only in light of obtaining relief from God's wrath.

His mercy is more than the pity for the poor and needy. Without denying common grace, God's mercy expressed in the gospel is what declares the wicked righteous by means of Christ's wrath-bearing sacrifice on the cross. Paul describes the gospel as the "mercies of God" ( Romans 12:1) which he took 11 prior to chapter 12 chapters to explain that the gospel is the good news that resolves the problem for mankind of God's wrath towards sin and sinners.

In Revelation 19:1-3, the wrath of the Lamb evokes unforced endless praise in the people of God and the angels. We also should revel in the execution of God's wrath with praise and glory to God (as it does glorify Him) who has had mercy upon us. Divine love triumphed over the divine wrath by divine self-sacrifice. The cross was an act simultaneously of punishment and amnesty; severity and grace; justice and mercy.

    (Romans Part 27):

    Romans 12:10 - Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

The term "affectioned" is a term for family love. Have an affection for your brothers and sisters in Christ as family, as PHILADELPHIA, brotherly love. And you show it by honoring them by preferring others ahead of yourself.

    Romans 12:12 - Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Praising in hope, patient in tribulation; and continuation in prayer, continuing to rejoice in the hope in Christ. The word patient is HUPOMENO. It means to remain under in difficult circumstances. And continuing, that is, not leaving off in prayer.

Romans 12:13 - Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

Distributing to the necessity of saints; The word distributing is the word Koinonia for fellowship. It means to identify, be at one with the needs of the saints, especially given to hospitality.

In those days, it was a bad place for Christians to stay at the Inn, the local motels, which were nothing but brothels. And so, as the Christians were passing through, they would seek out Christian fellowship and Christians would take them into their homes and give them a place to stay for a day or two or a night or two. So, be at common, be at one with the needs of the body of Christ, with the saints.

Romans 12:14 - Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

The word bless EULOGEO is where we get our word eulogy from. Speak well of them. Speak well back to them. Don't get caught up. If they want to speak some way to you, let them. Don't get caught up in the destructive process. You bless and curse not. The word curse doesn't mean to swear. It means to wish destruction on somebody. Don't wish them the worst. Eulogize them.

    (Romans Part 26):

Romans 12:9 - Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

It says let love be without dissimulation. What in the world is that? First of all, notice that the word "Let" is in italics. So, you can scratch that. There's no command here. And the word dissimulation is the old English word for hypocrisy. As I have shared before, HUPOCRISIS, the Greek word for hypocrisy is a word for an actor who is speaking according to the script.

A person in a religious circle can be a hypocrite. They learn how to answer according to the script. They just learn all the terminologies, and how to say praise the Lord, and how are you doing, but there's been no transformation. There's been no change, no sign of life!

So, if we put this all together, there are only three words here. The love without hypocrisy. That's all it says. It's a statement of fact. Love is without hypocrisy. Love doesn't have hypocrisy in it at all. There's no acting in love. Love doesn't act. In fact, I have come to learn to not like the term act when you are talking to another Christian. "Well, you're not acting like a Christian."

You don't want to tell people that because then they are going to try and act like one. We're not supposed to act like Christians. We're supposed to be Christians. You're either the real thing or you're not. You either have Christ in you or you don't. Love (Agape love) is without hypocrisy. There's no acting. It's the real thing!

All of these things in the rest of the chapter are connected with the statement "Love is without hypocrisy." The first thing about corruption, it says Abhor that which is evil; and cleave to that which is good. Agape love, the love of God, abhors, detests evil. And the word cleave is the word for glue. Glue yourself to that which is good. How many of us have hated corruption and evil, we can't stand it, and glue ourselves to that which is good?

    (Romans Part 25):

    Romans 12:7 - Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

Or ministry, which comes from a Greek word that means serving, let us wait on our ministering:

If you are a server in the body of Christ, you serve people, and it has to do with people's physical needs in the body of Christ. Deacons in the church are an extension of the pastor, because he cannot study and pray and prepare to give the word and try to handle all the physical needs of the people in the church. And just as a side note, the word deacon originally in the Greek language meant a waiter of tables.

Romans 12:8 - Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Encouraging: Or he that exhorteth, and that's what exhorting means, it means to encourage. Or he that exhorts, let him stay in his exhortation:

Giving: He that giveth, let him do it with simplicity. The word simplicity in Greek means singleness of motive. That is, you give for one reason and one reason only, because the Lord is laying on your heart to give. So, the one who gives, let him do it with a singleness of motive!

Leading: He that rules, and it means the person who stands up front, leadership, let him do it with diligence; and that means top priority. Don't be slack. Leading and ruling has to be your top priority.

And then showing mercy: He that shows mercy, let him do it with cheerfulness. This Greek word HILAROTETI is where we get our English word hilarity from. Have mercy on people with hilarity, you know? It's like giving and enjoying every minute of it. I love those kind of givers that think it's hilarious. Other people probably think they're nuts!

    (Romans Part 24a):

Romans 12:4 - For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

He says the physical body has many members, for as we have many members in one body, we have different functions, and all members have not the same office: The word office in the Greek means function.

    Romans 12:6 - Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

Without getting into a long dissertation on the gifts of the Spirit, I want to share a few things with this verse. First, the word grace is the Greek word CHARIS. The word gifts is the word CHARISMA. All that means is that the word gifts as in "gifts of the spirit" which is a term only found one time in all the bible. In all the other places, where you see "gifts of the spirit," gifts is in italics. In 1 Corinthians 12, it is talking about the capacities and the abilities of the Holy Spirit. But "gifts" means expressions of grace. It comes from grace. That's what it means.

CHARIS with an MA on the end is called a ma noun in the Greek, and it has to do with the expression of something. So, if it is CHARIS, it is grace, and CHARISMA is the expression of grace. Whenever God expresses Himself, that's a gift. Gift in the Greek text doesn't mean the same thing as gift means to us in the English. It has nothing to do with God giving us a gift. That's a completely different Greek word and the only time that word is used is for the Holy Spirit.

    (Romans Part 23a):

Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

There are two commands here. The first one is about being conformed. It's SCHEMATIZO. It's where we get our word schematic from. A schematic is a drawing of something about the outskirts or the boundaries of some house or some property. And that's what it means. Conformed has to do with outward change.

He says and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. The Greek word for transformed is where we get our word metamorphosis from. It doesn't have to do with inward change. It has to do with inward transformation. Not change, transformation!

So, conformity, being conformed is outward change, and being transformed is inward transformation, a permanent and complete change. And the change comes, and it says by the renewing of your mind. The word for mind here is the word NOUS. This particular Greek word represents the perceptive abilities of the mind, your perception. So, when I seek to be transformed, I seek for God's Spirit to take His word, and not change, but totally transform my mind so that I perceive the things of God.

God wants to transform us by the renewing of our minds. That is what our relationship with Him is all about. If that does not occur in the majority of our interaction with the Lord and the body of Christ, we're going to find out that a lot of what we did was a waste of time!

    (Romans Part 22):

Romans 11:32 - For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

For God has concluded, and this word in Greek means imprisoned, but God has concluded them all in unbelief, in order that he might have mercy upon everyone.

You kind of get the point that it is mercy. It has nothing to do with religion.

Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Paul says I beseech you therefore, brethren. This is not a command. The Greek word for beseech actually means to make an appeal. He says I appeal to you. This is something that comes in a response from our hearts toward Christ.

Paul says I appeal to you therefore, and the premise or basis for his appeal is by the mercies of God. Literally, it is through the mercies of God, but that's the designation that Paul is using for the first half of the book of Romans.

He says you have been condemned, justified, and sanctified, saved and sealed by the Spirit of God, all through God's mercy. They are all the mercies of God! So, what Paul is saying is "I'm appealing to you based on the mercies and compassions that God has shown to you."

Dear Richard, my trustworthy friend. If you feel that Spirit prompting you to take a break from posting her, then do so. I wlll continue to keep you in my prayers and I am glad you have shared so much of your personal life because it deepens out friendship, promotes love and compassion, and gives us concrete ways to bring petitions before God.

I do not think that you are in any way promoting yourself here. You are following God being real about the yourself, your life, and your faith. Thank you for your sincerity, deep concern or others, the way you self-reflect, desiring to not think too highly of yourself than you ought. We all should pray to be like that as we are instructed to do so in Romans 12:3. We are to check ourselves to see that we are truly in the faith and to live by it.

Dear Richard, I will miss you in your absence, but will pray that God will lead you back to us here. You are important on this site as are everyone who God has led here. I am learning from you and other, I am also being instructed by the Holy Spirit on how I am to express myself in writing here according to the power of the Holy Spirit and the by discipline of Him and by the gifting He has so graciously bestowed on me to be able to read and write and understand what others say as we communicate with each other in love, truth, and restraint from thinking and saying things we think we know about another individual that only God can know.

All of us on here come from individual life experiences both as believers and when we were'nt; when we have been blessed in a church situation and when we have been harmed, misled, and mistreated; when we work through difficult situations with those in our families and among our friends with the tension between our love and concern for them and our greater love and commitment to God and to the truth of His Holy Word. We can1 always pray for the ability to sort of 'be in another's shoes' and gain understanding and compassion for others troubles. Amen

The altar was a practice for the entire old testament. A place where a sacrifice was made to God for the sins of the people. Incense where also burned there. The altar now is the place where we send the incense of our heart to the Father. Where we lay down those things before God and surrender them to him, as Abraham did with Isaac. We do this anywhere we have a true connection with God in prayer. The altar is a position of the heart more than a physical thing. The altar is a symbol but it is also a place for new converts to learn the position for their heart. An altar should be available for people to lay their burdens down until they learn to lay them before the Lord in secret and even after that, an altar is a place of worshiping in truth. We declare that God is the only one who can help us when we are at the altar. The very act of kneeling before the throne of grace is an act of surrender. Many people leave the altar no different than when they came in but God begins breaking up that soil and getting it ready to receive. So I believe with all of my heart that the altar should never be removed from the church.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

    1 Peter 2:5

For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. Isaiah 66:2

And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Romans 12:1, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

In the Old Testament the priests used to sacrifice animals, as well as other things, to God. It was the offerings at that time. Now God asks for our bodies, ourselves, as an offering to Him. To sacrifice ourselves which means to sacrifice our lives, our ambitions, everything that we wish, we like or love that is against His Will. To be holy. This kind of offering is acceptable to God.

And goes on in verse 2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

That "not be conformed to this world" is exactly the sacrifice God asks from us.

Leviticus 27:28 Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD.

When we consider how Jesus Himself became our perfect living sacrifice; and how we are expected to reflect the same ( Romans 12:1-2) we can see the beauty in His death; even though His visage was marred more than any man ( Isaiah 52:14).

In consideration of what seems to be a repeated theme on this site the last few days; we should consider the gravity of dedicating our FAMILY members to the Lord. In a larger sense ALL of mankind is part of God's Creation (all souls are mine ( Ezekiel 18:4).

The principal that those who know will receive many beatings compared to those who don't ( Luke 12:47-48) we hope will occur in this life; not in eternal judgment.

I am not saying we shouldn't teach our children about Christ; and probably in regard to infant baptism; I would agree when they are in the "age of innocence" despite being "little sinners" it is only the adult who will be judged irresponsible if indeed it is a violation of God's will to do this. Instead; I think we need to look more seriously at older children and teens who still are attending church activities when living with their parents. True; if we teach our children diligently ( Deut. 6:7) and give them a moral compass at least from a worldly standpoint they likely will avoid many mistakes; often deadly in today's society. But of course we should know better than expect them to automatically continue once they move out; go to college or become of working age. It is inappropriate to lock them up or something once they reach a certain maturity.

The children need to know as they learn doctrines they become more responsible; hence the warnings of Matthew 11:24 need to be taken into consideration. At some point the hard verses need to be taught.

Hope you don't mind me barging in attempting to answer your question. It is something that has mystified me over the years.

Getting over the preliminaries; that is making sure that we aren't living in unconfessed sin and grieving the Spirit; and that we truly ARE sensing the Spirit and not some other influence I will post several ideas.

First off; there are individuals going through struggles within the Body of Christ who we may never have met that the Lord wants to intercede for. Whatever a battle is going on in the spiritual dimension we are all involved as soldiers of Christ as I see it. Romans 12:15 says to rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn for those who mourn. There are often demons who are going after us as well as our loved ones or again; those who may be nearby who are also fighting some of the same evil forces.

We realize that only in Christ did the Spirit work without measure ( John 3:34). This did NOT mean for Him that He didn't have to endure suffering and a feeling of abandonment at the crucifixion but no doubt other occasions; just as Paul also felt many had abandoned Him. He had the exceedingly great revelation ( 2 Corinthians 12:2) but nonetheless had the thorn in his flesh afterwards to keep him relying on the Lord for His strength (verse 7 in same chapter).

It is prayer which helps us to garner our strength; and therefore equip us for the battle. This key element the enemy will do all he can to thwart as there is nothing he can't stand like the Spirit truly moving in a local body of believers.

There are people who are living in a lifestyle of sin who can also quell the Spirit. There are also warnings about not having hands laid on hastily as someone could be operating in a different spirit ( 1 Timothy 5:22).

It is indeed mysterious how these things operate; but if we learn to discern His voice and have long term obedience producing good fruit we will have these experiences more frequently. Hope that helps...

    Achan's sin: Joshua 7

Verses 10-12 state: And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? 11Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. 12Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

This passage illustrates the reaction of Joshua after they were routed in battle. Joshua lamely states that it would have been better to not have entered where they were than to be routed by the Amorites. He ignores promises 400 years prior about the fullness of the iniquity of the Amorites; but is totally blind to the REASON for the event; which boiled down to one person coveting gold and other things which were cursed objects somehow tied into the demonic realm that were; as the rest of the populus to be devoted unto destruction. Joshua 6:18 warns about such behavior; and Achan was the individual responsible and was summarily stoned afterwards; followed by victory on the battlefield. They should have learned from what happened with Korah's rebellion in Numbers 16:32 when they were swallowed up by the earth after trying to usurp the role of Priesthood that Moses had. We see in both these passages that unless the sin was dealt with the entire people would be destroyed.

In today's New Testament church we see Ananias and Sapphira in the same sort of swift judgment in Acts 5. Normally; of course our first priority has to be our own sin but we have to guard not only our own hearts but watch out for the "enemy in the camp" which today often involves "damnable heresies" ( 2 Peter 2:1); also see 1 Timothy 4:1 on last days false teaching.

See Romans 12:19 on God's vengeance.

Hello Abel wolf: I understand what you are having struggles with and I will pray for you.

Even after we have become born again in Jesus we have a difficult time resisting the devils onslaught of temptations, especially a temper. Would you let me give you some advice from someone who's been there and done that? In your prays, not only ask God for strength to overcome your temper, which I know you are doing, but also pray a sincere prayer for the people who are causing the anger, that God will bring good to them. No matter who they are or their spiritual condition just leave it up to God to decide what that good is. Trust God that He will work in you and them, to bring you to a place where you are living without a bad temper. Also ask God to help you to apologize for losing your temper. In time you will mature in this and even if it rear it's ugly head once in a very little while you will be strong enough by then to overcome it quickly and apologize if that is necessary. So trust God that He is working in you because your heart is longing for this. You mentioned you were jealous of your sister because she had YOUR iPad. Whenever this happens, perhaps go to your prayer closet and ask God to give you a loving spirit toward your sister and then go to her and treat her with kindness and tell her she may use it for as long as she likes. Show her the unconditional love of Christ and, if you can, buy her one as a gift, perhaps for her birthday. That's what the scripture means when it says 'pour coals of fire on your neighbors head." Romans 12: 29-21. "Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Again, I will be praying for you and I hope this helped. God Bless :)

    Acts 2:1-4 is next

    1 Corinthians 3: 16-17

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."

    Ephesians 4:23

If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

    Colossians 3:9

"Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: "

    2 Corinthians: 517

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

    Colossians 3:9-10

"Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him."

    Romans 12:2

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

    Jema,

Thanks for your reply and explanation of yourself. Good to know.

I agree that we are to share from the Word on this site. And, if we are indeed a fellowship of believers, we are to build one another up and encourage on another ( 1 Th. 5:11; Romans 12:10) through love and supportive words.

Have a good day, Jema. Though we are different in personality, we are one in Christ, thankfully. How wonderful is this that God has called both of us to salvation and into the fellowship of the church!

    Hey S Spencer,

I am glad to hear you had a great time over the holidays, I hope you were able to rest your heels of travel. Yes, it is the circumcision of the heart that the reformation begins, and the Holy Spirit inspires true worship. Worship is our response to what the Spirit reveals to us about God.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We do this with our renewed minds led by the Spirit not with our wisdom and emotions, they can be deceived. Being deceived is to be easily caught up or carried away or taken out of the way, the favorite tool of Satan, like prey taken in the mouth of a lion.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: If we are deceived, we are devoured. We must be vigilant daily to be conformed to the image of the Son of God, Jesus. Daily, as the Apostles did in the beginning, preaching the Gospel of Jesus every day, Acts 2:46-47 Acts 5:42 Acts 16:5.

    God bless,

Hi Mary Jay. As you know, we don't align in our understanding of the Scriptures, but thought to address this one post from you as an example.

In answer to your question, I exist as a physical person, now saved & revived by the Blood of Christ & His Spirit, joined to the Body of Christ. Am I "the BODY of Christ?" NO. My understanding of the Scriptures is that the Body of Christ is the Church ( Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18,24). So, I'm not the Body, Christ is; I am a part of that Body, the parts of which comprise the Church ( Romans 12:4,5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14). There can only be one Body, or else, if each member is the Body of Christ, then Christ is no longer the Head of His Church but the Head of each person. And though 1 Corinthians 11:3 states, "...that the head of every man is Christ...", this verse speaks about the position, in the spiritual realm & of the Church presenting before God, of woman to the man, of man to Christ & of Christ to God.

So with Galatians 2:20, my understanding of "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me...", is that my life that I now live is not my own (my ownership), but belongs to Christ (His ownership) with Christ (by His Spirit) Who now lives in me. This is a personal relationship with the risen Christ, with Whom all others who completely identify with Him, also enjoy. Thus together we form His Church, which is His Body; so the individual can never be Christ's Body - only His Church can be, which is the collection of believers.

And wishes to you too Mark & your family at this time of Thanksgiving. You've shared a few Scriptures, which I will address.

Philippians 2:12,13. The apostle was concerned for the Church's behavior: vv 2-4 (disagreements, unloving, discord, striving & not esteeming). And of course, he gives the supreme example of the Mind of Christ in his Coming in the form of a Servant. So Paul goes on to write (v12), 'therefore as you have obeyed me in the past, not just when I'm around but now when I'm not with you, work out (put into practise/into operation) what your salvation has brought you, and do so in trembling & fear (in all diligence & seriousness)': my paraphrasing. "work out your own salvation" is the big question here. If it were to 'find your own way to God', or 'now that you are saved, make all effort to remain saved', then I don't believe that was Paul's teaching. As one Bible teacher often preached, "you have been given the gift of Salvation, now work it out in your life", i.e. 'be constantly in step with the Spirit, being humble before God, scrutinizing your life, keeping short accounts with Him; you can't add anymore to your salvation, or else it's no more of Grace but of works, so be diligent to not be slack but mindful of God's great Grace & your position in Christ'.

"His Faith". I did mean, God's Faith given to man to believe & to be exercised with. Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 12:3, are good examples - the Gift of God given to us is 'Grace AND Faith', for man's faith is incapable of apprehending the fullness of Christ's Sacrifice at the Cross for him & being exercised to please God.

1 Corinthians 9:27. A 'castaway' what Paul was referring to, was that he would be disqualified from this high calling if he was hypocritical by preaching salvation through Jesus & the power of that Risen Life, & yet be undisciplined in dealing with the appeals of his flesh. In this case, he would have failed - and maybe removed from ministry, even from earthly life itself. GBU

    Brother Carleton.

    Part 4.

We use Brothern to loosely today. Everyone amongst us is not a Brother or a Sister!

Look at the example Jesus gives in Matthew 12:47-50.

"Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.

But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?

And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren.

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Romans 12:3 says not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

We all have flaws and we're all of one body ministering by the same Spirit, having gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us by "THE GIFT" (Christ Spirit.) We are to exercise those gifts by the power of Christ Spirit.

We are to Love one another; I've declared that on this site since I've been on it using John 13:34-35 as a springboard.

    Also, 1 John 4:20-21 and Matthew 7:15-16.

We shall be known by our fruit, not our gifts!

CAN YOU GENERATE THIS ON YOUR OWN?

Love amongst the brothern is not partial.

It's not determined by race, wealth, political parties, Gender, status in the church, or one's eschatology.

Love at its highest level is Agape. It's caused by the Holyspirit that knits us as one. It's to be totally given over to.

I've seen where one says he have the gift of discernment but yet he shuns other Brothern.

If you have an issue with a brother, you restore him. Galatians 6:1-4.

We must look out for each other. James 5:20 says, "Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins." Confrontation may be difficult, but it is not loving to allow a professing Christian to continue in a sin that will bring God's consequences upon him.

    See Part 5.
