1st let's address the effects = Loss to their family, loved ones, friends, community & even the World. Loss of what that person would have accomplished, & what that would have attributed to each mentioned. 1Corinthians 12, Psalms 139,

2nd, What that leaves behind = confusion, sadness, undue feelings of guilt, grief, helpless feelings to those dear & close to the person & then effecting all around them, even extended to people that looked at that person as an example, children nearby, jobs, everyone & everything left, all effected 2Corinthians 3:2, 1Timothy 4:12,

3rd root causes = pain, abuse, sometimes just selfishness, etc. But we are not without hope, Romans 8, (whole chapter)

Hope = Hebrews 4:8-16, Romans 5:1-21, Romans 15:4,13, Galatians 5:5, Colossians 1:23,

Strength to endure = James 5:10, Romans 12:12,

Comfort = 2Corinthians 1:2-4,

Purpose = Ephesians 1:17-19,

People that went through feelings of that but made it through = 2Corinthians 1, Job 7:15, Jonah 4:9, Matthew 26:38,

Direction = Proverbs 2, Proverbs 8, Proverbs 10:2, Proverbs 24:10-12, Hebrews 4:15-16,

Disobedience to GOD = Psalms 68:20, Ezekiel 18:32, Ezekiel 33:11, Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 5:17,

The New body is fashioned like Christ's : is 100% holy spirit. You cannot stand before God at His Throne without it. Daniel chapter 7:14. So get some.

Your mind will be no longer susceptible to the whims and fears of the natural body you were born with.

We eat, we travel very well not limited to the physical laws of this physical domain because we are always "seated at the right hand of God" as Sons of God, that is our homebase.

To be a Son of God is to do Romans 10:9, to confess Jesus as your Lord and to believe that God raised him from the dead. That is it!

At that moment you have a perfectly renewed mind but it needs maintenance to stay in fellowship ( see 1st John about fellowship fixes, Romans 12:1, etc.) and someday we will live free from fleshy entanglements in our new dreamy holy spirit bodies.

Angels are servants, we are Sons.

Hello Richard, Those Israelites good ol' boys just could not stick with God's explicit commands to refrain from taking wives from the idolatrous nations surrounding them. It seems that both male and female Israelites were very easily swayed by the "customs" of the surrounding pagans and repeatedly fell into idolatry despite having the history of God's miraculous deliverances (through the waters and from attackers), providence (manna and quail), displays of God's presence (pillar of fire and cloud, glory filling the tabernacle, Mount Sinai "shock and awe"), the giving of the Law. This makes me think that the ways (and women) of the pagans must have been very alluring.

This makes me think how people can become so enamored and intrigued by "exotic" or "new" trends. This is true in the church as well. These "baubles" can make our daily walk in godliness and fellowship with the Spirit seem somewhat "boring", especially when we are called to live a quiet and godly lifestyle. But I haven't really minded what most would consider boring, because I love to follow God's ways. I find them satisfying. But we live in a culture that glorifies risk taking behavior (rock climbing, extreme sports) and fancy, shiny celebrity lifestyles. But as believers, I think it is wise to heed what Jesus taught about being in the world but not of the world, so to speak ( John 17:15, 18)

And Paul says for us to not be conformed to the world, but to be transformed.. ( Romans 12:2) and John says to love not the world or the things of the world... which is passing away...but he who does the will of the God abides forever ( 1 John 2:15-17)

And we are told by Peter to lives such good lives among the pagans .. ( 1 Peter 2:11-12) as we should live like sojourners.

Unlike the Israelites, let's hope we do better to resist worldliness and pagan influences.

Perhaps being older myself gives some perspective. It is fine when young; and one can operate on positive emotions as happiness itself isn't necessarily indicative of sin. Joy of the Lord; Pauline style; as it were in the midst of deprivations; prison; threats; beatings; and his concern for the church clearly has persevering power beyond mere human strength. We also need to remember Christ's parable of the seed and the sower; as to he who "received the word immediately with joy; but then as soon as trials come they fall away" (you can find the verse). Being "on fire" as it is relates; or should relate more to "rejoicing when others rejoice; and weeping when they weep" ( Romans 12:15-20). It relates to sacrificial agape love; where we love our enemies; and pray for those who "despitefully use us" ( Luke 6:28). It should reflect our service in our gifting and calling; but also learning from those with other gifts in the Body so that we are balanced and grow in grace and truth.

A big problem; of course is as the adage goes; people are more enamored with the gifts than the Giver of them. With an Ephesians 6 mentality; the power of offensive warfare is only one weapon; the "sword" of the Spirit. It is used for bringing down strongholds by being in accord with our High Priest (Hebrews); namely Christ who ever intercedes for us. We are given our marching orders of who to pray for and sometimes with a sense of urgency. This is also; BTW a likely use of tongues for those who have a genuine gift and not endless prattering about. It is either another REAL language; or groans that can't be exprressed in a heavenly language as angels are ministering spirits; giving us strength as they did for Christ during His greatest trials.

Obviously; the extravagent Laodicean type spirit in many churches is simply a Kundalini or some other evil force; if "filthy lucre" is the prime motivation for lukewarm faith. Stay away from those folks. Agape. Rich P.

Matthew 5:43-48

"You have heard that it was said. "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love your, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."

Romans 12:20-21

"Therefore

'If you enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink, For so doing you will heap coals of fire upon his head.'

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

Strong's concordance suggests the Hebrew word translated "crop" in Leviticus 1 means "Conspicuousness" or "prominence." The word "feathers" in Lev. 1 suggests "plumage" and the same word is translated in Ezekiel 17 as "feathers" and in Job 39 as "ostrich."

Ezekiel 17

3 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:

Job 39:13

Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?

These associations with the words "crop" and "feathers" in other passages lead me to believe the "glory" of the birds was removed and cast aside before the bird was burnt as an offering.

To draw an application, before Christians can offer their bodies an acceptable sacrifice to God their own "glory" must be discarded.

Romans 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Psalm 51:17

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

The scripture says. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. Hebrews 11:4.

Now faith comes by hearing the word of God.

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17.

So apparently they were instructed to offer what Abel offered which we find in Genesis 4:4.

"And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:"

This was a sacrifice pointing to the Lord Jesus Christ, who would later come and be a sacrfice for the whole world. John 1:29. "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."

Faith comes by hearing the word, so apparently Adam may have preached this to them, Abel demonstrated his faith by his offering. "Obedience and belief in what he was commanded to do.

Cain demonstrated unbelief by disregarding and disbelieving in what he was told.

Look at Gods response to Cain.

"But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him." Genesis 4:5-7.

Under the old covenant they offered up sacrifices pointing to one to come (Jesus).

The death of Christ ended that Covenant. read Hebrews 9:13-20.

Now we offer up ourselves.

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12:1.

Hi Bear de Mel. The only one I can think of is in Nahum 1:9, "What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time."

However, this verse speaks of God taking vengeance on Nineveh, that once their judgement comes by destruction, God will not perform it a second time (nor will He need to, for they will be obliterated completely).

Please give me the reference, where it is written that God does not render the same account twice .

Dear "Charley" u are absolutely right. On the web are all kind of ppl. And in the world we meet all kind of ppl. But the Word of God is read out to the congregation in these churches too. And the Word it's sharper than any double-edged sword. Hebrew 4:12-13

Therefore when a man receives the word and get saved in the name of Jesus Christ. So remember that many have left Jerusalem, but not all have Jesus in their hearts. BUT they can get it by hearing the word.

Therefore we will love one another as the Lord says, Romans 12:10 for when we do, we fulfill the law in one swoop. Be patient with all people, love one another deeply forgive always, not only once a transgression in Matthew 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Hi, it looks like T. Levis shared some good verses about that.

My answer would be 'it depends'. God knows your heart, intentions, motives. Humor is good and I like to think that God appreciates humor and blessed us with a sense of humor. However, there is a point where making fun is bad when hurting and insulting people, and when done with bad intent. Deceiving is lying and a sin. Much wisdom of the Bible seems to lean towards giving people a break and showing huge grace and forgiveness even when others may not seem to deserve it, because Jesus forgave us when we didn't deserve it.

Along with taking the high road, being conservative and sensitive to others, being loving, giving others the benefit of the doubt, and being gentle and kind. Much horseplay, comedy, pranks, involves doing so at anothers expense. Unless the victim in it asked for it specifically by you and wanted to be roasted, I think doing anything at someone else's expense is usually not very Christianlike, as Christians are to be loving and the light of the world. That is just my opinion without any specific examples to go from. God bless you.

It's like this Genesis: GOD gave dominion to man over the Earth, including sea. Gen. 1:28, It's a ' stewardship ' that all men will give an account for. Matthew 25:31-46, yet the Earth still belongs to GOD : 1Corinthains 10:26,

GOD gave Moses a set of "Best Laws" That if people obeyed, would cut down on suffering. Instead many have rebelliously rejected, mocked & ignored & refusal to enforce. Whose then to blame for suffering in consequence? Proverbs 3:27,

I think it amazing that GOD intervenes on our behalf so many times. Exodus 3:9, Psalms 12:5,

& ultimately gave us Salvation John 3:16-18, Ecclesiastes 5:8,

It should be remembered that only 3 disciples went up the mount; the others likely were sleeping. There is no doubt from the text that Jesus was talking with Moses and Elijah. If nothing else; their discussion of His demise proves this; as Peter was rebuked from Satan's influence by Christ when he tried to admonish Christ for predicting such a thing! This showed a sort of foreshadowing of Christ's eternal glory (outside of space and time). It would seem also that Christ's statement immediately preceding this about some of them not dying until they saw the Son of Man in His glory could have been a veiled reference to this event; which also in some way could have gone ahead in time to show Christ's future state much as John did in Revelation as to what was to happen. The voice of God also is the same as earlier with John the Baptist "this is my Son; listen to Him" or something to that effect. That was to be the focus of the event; the Son of God. There will be future real physical bodies to what is now spiritual bodies for those passed on (Elijah would seem to still be in his old body as he is prophesied to die as one of the two prophets in the future). As to Moses there is some debate as Satan had contention about his burial; nonetheless he probably shone much like he did on earth when he had to wear a veil to cover himself. As with the story of Lazarus and the rich man; we are to take things literally unless they are clearly meant to be figurative. Even a dream or vision if truly from the Lord transcends our fleshly body and soul and therefore there is something real from heaven behind it. Our minds whether awake or asleep are controlled by our will (i.e. soul); and that is either still in darkness or the Spirit of God is living and active allowing us to die to our old nature and be transformed by the renewing of the mind ( Romans 12:2).

God's will is for all to be saved and how can they hear without a preacher we are all called to tell the lost about Jesus, 2Corinthians 13:12 A Study to show yourself approved a workmen that needs not to be shamed rightly dividing the word of truth 2Tinothy3:16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works

verse 39But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. faith without works is dead, not faith at all. You can't just say Jesus after you are saved the sign that you are saved is works. look at all the prophets their calling was a far off even Jesus' ministry didn't start for 30 years, King David was a child when he was anointed King maybe your calling is to be Believer not huge calling but a witness. Read the bible, pray, fast and serve God, faith hope and charity of these 3 charity is the greater. doen't have to be giving money.

I've found by helping others we help ourselves from the blessings it gives us. The lost become saved by preaching and hearing God's word which we are all called to do, I am praying for you can you be more specific tho

This is an interesting verse how it differentiates between wisdom and knowledge.

Verse 4 says: Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

So, the same Spirit is allocating different levels of gifts, possibly according to our level of maturity in the faith or responsibility. Romans 12:6-8, Luke 12:48.

So, it says to one wisdom and to another knowledge. I'm assuming the prefix "word of" is another way of just staying specific portion of wisdom or knowledge passed on to someone from the Holy Spirit, but would like to hear anyone else's interpretation of this.

If I were to just compare wisdom with knowledge, I think of wisdom as the application of knowledge or experience using a sense of discernment, and knowledge as the storage of information, facts. I personally prefer wisdom over knowledge because of the practical value. I have a harder time with pure memorization like trivia, but to some that could be a strength for ministering to others, perhaps like through street ministry where remembering a lot of scripture and answers to common questions would be valuable.

Satan is permitted, for a time, to rule over the majority in this world as we see when he tempted Jesus, Luke 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

We see again Satan who deceived the whole world when he is cast down to earth permanently, Revelation 12:7-9. He then gives his power, his seat, and authority to the beast over the world, Revelation 13:2. But Satan is limited in accordance with God's will and he dwells in darkness and that is the boundary of his territory. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

That is why we must do as in Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

If we walk in the Spirit and the true light is in us, darkness will have nothing to do with us, we have victory in Christ. The time is coming when Satan is cast down and gives his authority to the beast, those of us who are still living will see the darkest time and go through it, Jesus does not return until after the tribulations of those days, Matthew 24:29-31 Mark 13:24-27.

So, walk in the light and not in the manners of the world where there is darkness.

One night while laying bed and praying I was overcome by the Spirit, and I started speaking rather praying in tongues the next thing I know is that it was morning and I had prayed in tongues the whole night. So, I know they do exist are a sign of having the Holy Ghost, Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Now as far as interpretations and Prophesying I'm sure it exists but knowing whether the person is really doing it I don't know if you can tell. I've attended Churches that do it speak and interpret it felt strange. I can tell you this that all gifts and answers to prayers depend on our righteousness, James 5:16

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

I suggest you do a word search on tongues and study it, comparing all the verses which pertain to it and pray because many times when I have a question on scripture it's revealed at a later time while I'm reading or sometime while praying. But the most important thing is obeying God's word, but one must know it to obey. Here are some verses to help you in understanding God's word: 2 Timothy 2:15, John 14:26, 1 John 2:27, Romans 12:1 I'm not sure why or how I begun speaking in tongues, but I do know it's a sign of having the Holy ghost as we see happen in ACTS, In ACTS there is a verse that says in reference to it that says they only yet believe and have not received the Holy ghost as we. I believe that if you are truly saved the baptism of the Holy Ghost happens so the believing in Jesus is emphasized by believing it in your heart, like it's real, knowing it with doubt. John 5:39

"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

faith without works is dead, read, study, pray, and serve God, faithfulness in whatever you do, do it as unto the Lord not man. Obedience.

Thank you so much. I have yearned so much to gain more of God's Word, that I might "Not" be unlearned of His Word. His Word is a light unto our Path and leads us to way that we should go. My desire is to be a Vessel to be used by God bringing unto Him His due Glory, and unto His Church here on earth, Victory is ours to win. start changing your thoughts and habits to what Gods word says which is walking by the revealed knowledge of Gods

Word. This is not sense knowledge thinking,sense knowledge thinking is based on sight,sound smell,touch, and taste.

After born again new input holy spirit which requires putting on Gods thoughts on who we are in Christ and

believing that in our day by day habit patterns or conscience thinking with consistence. Romans 12:2 By doing this

we prove by believing in what God has done what is His good acceptable and perfect will. You cannot do this with

sense knowledge thinking 1 Corinthians 2:14 because you cannot know God with experienced knowledge without Him

revealing Himself by the holy spirit. Then our job Ephesians 4:24-32, Ephesians 5 whole Chapter, Phil. 2:1-15 this is
