I will pray for God to intervene in your life, your spirit, your mind, your soul, to overcome these oppressive thoughts and feelings. Jesus is the one who conquers the works of evil spirits sent to us to harm us. Call on Jesus by name and ask Him to bring your release from this oppression. Isaiah 61:1-3; Matt.4:16-37.
I will be happy to pray for Lisa and the surgery she will have tomorrow.
I have noticed your absence and hope you have been well. I wanted to express my sincere hope that you are taking good care of yourself.
Wishing you a pleasant day when this message reaches you. God bless you always.
The title here sums up what I am starting to experience with my recent new church fellowship. I thought I should also mention in prayers that as I meet others in surrounding communities and churches if God has something else (especially closer to where I currently live) that is suggested to me I certainly will consider that also.
A large part of Christian identity involves the family; with the husband/wife component and kids and the whole congregation at large. The fact that there is always one or more that volunteer to get into in depth discussions is encouraging; as well as transparency about their own struggles. It has significantly expanded what I had experienced before this where the primary concern seemed to be if someone was in the hospital; or needed help which is of course something good and in fact it is encouraged for those who have more to help others where I attend (a Mennonite tradition). Just having most of the day with the service and meal afterwards is different (I could have stayed from morning to late evening with the wrap up of the kids week of Bible study but it was too much with the drive home). Specifically the guy from the other church encouraged me to share more on this whole divorce and remarriage issue; seemingly where I attend is the only place that believes as I do in all of Eastern PA and I have already met or been referred to others whose wives left them that remained single; not an enviable situation.
At any rate; getting out of my comfort zone or complacency and more time in fellowship is generally a healthy thing. Like someone said today if we remain alone we are at best unbalanced. He also brought out "iron sharpening iron". That seems to have been in "spades" for me lately; and greatly appreciated.
So I encourage those out here to find fellowship; either a church or even home Bible Study or start your own.
Also some great conversation here lately.

In all this with the doctrinal issue that has taken me from where I had been attending Sundays is something I have now discussed individually with all my close contacts; as painful as it is. I have been told among other things that I don't have grounds for what I did. At any rate I am still enjoying the way the kids in the Awana are being taught and I am finishing up a recovery program Monday evenings where I attend as a support.
This site has been helpful to me and hopefully edifying to others; and allowed me to find a way to minister when I was confined much of the time taking care of Mom and Dad. Hopefully more opportunities for ministry will occur based on experiences I share in the future; such as that of a missionary today from Bolivia who told at the end of the sermon a story of someone the night before they died from a kidney condition repenting from demonic influence from online activities. God is alive!

It is true that in old times, most people had very little, especially concerning food, clothing, shelter, and jobs. Were they content? They had to be content because there was very little they could do to improve their lot, given the sparsity of offerings. But they still lived on 'struggle street' and were very likely anxious, despondent, and driven to desperate actions. But as you wrote, that we have so much more than they, and we live relatively comfortable healthy lives, yet still many today are no better mentally or emotionally than those others, facing pressures from various sources. What they feel will bring them happiness and contentment, is only found to be temporal, ever lusting for more & more to sustain those satisfied feelings. And again, as you wrote, "they are searching for happiness in the wrong places".
But when you think of it, what else does the unbelieving world have in this life? Or, of any hope of eternity? Absolutely nothing. Their lives consist of what they know, have, and feel in the present, for tomorrow we die & are no more. But if they heed Jesus' Words ( Luke 12:15), "..(that) a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth" and they could have greater eternal treasures from Heaven (of full salvation, real joy, inner peace, and power to live righteously), their whole perspective of life & its real worth will be changed for their eternal good. If the Church at large can get out their stagnation & be a living witness to the world, the world might understand their true poverty. Blessings.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27.
GBU.
We were not made to live in sin. It is like a car which was made to be driven on streets. If you try to drive it on mountains or rocky lands the car will be destroyed. Because it wasn't made to be driven on such places. Similarlry we were made to live in sanctification. If we live in sin we will be distructed. Because we were not made to live in sin. I hope I am making myself clear.
Which means that if we only live according to God's commandements we will find hapiness. There is no other way. Sin offers definetely a pleasure. But it is like drugs. One tastes drugs for the first few times and finds pleasure. But drugs will eventually tie them and lead them to passion and slavery and decay and distruction. Sin promises freedom but leads people to bondage. God gives us a yoke but He leads us to freedom and hapiness.
If only people could realize that they are searching for hapiness in the wrong places. There is no hapiness at those places they are going to. There is no hapiness in the lifestyle they wish to live. Riches do not make people happy. Most rich and famous people have broken families, broken mental health, broken children. Because money can not bring joy. Fame can not bring joy. Many relations can not bring joy. And still people keep searching for love and joy in other places where they will find nothing more than what they found previously. Because they are going to the wrong direction.
There is only one way to hapiness. And Christ is the way. Because we were made for that specific way. We were made to be happy.
Let us trust our lives in Him. Let us hide ourselves inside His strong arms. He will never let us down. No fear, no anxiety, no sadness, no desease.
Have a blessed week.
Nowadays people live so wealthy that they have never ever lived in all human history. Nowadays we have things that people in other ages couldn't even dream of. Having a car, a house, a proper job, living in countries with a welfare state, with a social net protecting people from povetry is the norm in the so called Western countries.
But the question is, why are people so unpleased from their lives? Why do we hear so often the word "depression"? Why do we hear so often the word "anxiety"? Why do we hear so often the word "pressure"? Why do we hear so often the words "autoimmune disease"? Few decades ago those words didn't exist in people's vocabularly. People were happier although they were poorer. Why is this?
People nowadays have problems with their mental health. Their souls are suffering, they are not healthy. People often turn to psycologists and psychiatrists to find some comfort. And it is true that science has achieved many great things in this modern era. It provides people with medicine and other treatments for their mental health. And it does a lot of good. And it is not the church's job to interfere with science.
But we, the christians, can offer to people an alternative proposal. "Do you want to be healthy? Do you want to see your soul to be healthy? Do you want to see your body to be healthy?"
If you do then go to Jesus. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matt 11:28-30
God made us in His image and in His likeness. Which means that we have inside us the characteristics of God. God created us not to live in sin, but to live in sanctification. It is only then that we find happiness in our lives. Living in sin leads us to distruction.

They hope to be able to come home tomorrow if both Mom and baby do well once antibiotics are stopped. They have two more doses, one in the middle of the night and one mid-morning and then observe for 4 hours to be sure fever does not return. Baby's white blood count was borderline between normal and low, and since newborns cannot yet make new white blood cells, an infection can quickly deplete white blood cells and baby would not be able to fight off an infection and go into septic shock.
My middle son had newborn sepsis at 5 days old. It was a very serious matter, but God answered prayer with him getting better from antibiotics.
As for Isaac, it seems pretty hopeful as the infection was caught right away. Mom's fever is gone, and so we hope she is on her way to full recovery.
Thanks for prayers and please remember them in prayer tonight and tomorrow.
Apparently there is a lot of yelling at the house across from me; kids crying and it is nebulous all the details for now; it seems like grandparents maybe as it is primarily on weekends. I also want to assess if getting a place to split with my Christian brother here may be in His plans; as there is money available for that but around here it would be expensive unless He opens unexpected doors. I also still could consider moving back to Pittsburgh where I used to live and still could get my old job back; perhaps this coming spring. Again; for now I have to reside here at least one day a month with Home Insurance.
I am reminded how God can change anyone. My Dad with his Dementia is easier to get along with and still doing relatively well physically.
Lord willing I will make the long trek again to the church I'm starting to attend over an hour from here. I would appreciate prayer for any contacts that they may know nearer to where I currently live; or once again possibly a place I could rent out or live closer to there if ministry opportunities arise. For now I have a few doctrinal issues needed to be discussed.
I am very grateful for the current job I have and the skills God has allowed me to learn. I am also looking to find someone interested in the coin business as 90 percent silver at present can be purchased well below spot (also means you get shorted selling it with refinery costs). Finally my current guitar lesson renewal is something I pray is fruitful in the future.
The partial break from my current church in relation to Sunday services has been painful but necessary; thankfully I have friends and activities I still take part in.
I appreciate your prayers.

Nice to hear about your new grandson. May God blesses both your grandsons in their lives. Blessings to you and to your sons' families.
Thanks for your prayers. Please continue to pray for Elfe and Isaac. The doctor is keeping in hospital to monitor for possible infection in both.
Psalm 127:3: "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him."
Congratulations on the beautiful heritage the Lord has entrusted to you! We lift up a prayer of gratitude for baby Isaac. May God richly bless this new life!
Our visit went well. I invited her to reach out to me again to get together anytime.
There was one uncomfortable matter we discussed that involved our whole family of siblings. I was glad to discuss it as it occurred a year ago.
I am blessed! Hope to hear more from you here.
Isaiah 58:12
"And they that shall be of thee shall build
the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the
foundations of many generations;
and thou shalt be called,
The repairer of the breach,
The restorer of paths to dwell in."
God bless,

I am meeting with one of my sisters this afternoon. We are estranged due to her lifestyle of being in a lesbian relationship and her rejection of our Lord Jesus. We have met on occasion to work on building a better relationship despite our differences.
Please pray that our conversation will be gracious and helpful to one another. That God will guide me in what I say and to listen well to my sister to understand her better as a person despite her lifestyle.
I know that there is more to a person than one's sins, so I wish to find some common ground as far as interests and outlook on life in the present.
Of all my estranged sisters (3) due to this common lifestyle, she is the easiest to interact with being the least hostile towards me. Please pray for an opportunity to speak the truth of the gospel to her once again and that the Holy Spirit would open here heart to being more receptive. I always approach these meeting with hope that the truth will set her free.
I will pray for you, that the Lord will uplift your spirit, mind, and heart today. I pray that the Lord will bring you very close to Him today and comfort you and fill your day with joy in the Lord. May the Holy Spirit help you to know the height, depth, width, and length of God's love for you in Christ that is true and perfect love that never fails.
Thanks for sharing your heart today with us. It helps us to know how to pray for you in specific ways.
Psalms 118:26
"Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD."King James Version (KJV)
God loves us all the time. I fell from Grace at 21 years old and God picked me up and forgave me for my transgression. He graciously restored me to the right relationship with him.
My story is that I had a relationship with a married man.I got pregnant.
I Had a healthy baby.
That was a turning point for me.
I began to get closer to the Lord because of all his goodness and his kindness, all his blessings he continued to shower upon us, me and my son. Sometimes when we fall, we look so dirty and unclean that the Church don't recognize us. To God be the Glory, He knows our heart. Praise the Lord.
The important part of my story is that "God can take your "Mess" and turn it into something "Good."
Thirty six years later I was in Atlanta Georgia to see my grand daughter graduate from College after receiving a four year scholarship. She was the daughter of that illegitimate son of mine.
Hallelujah!!!
That how good God is to us. So, Woundedwool, read your bible,
daily pray to get closer to him. God loves us when we are pretty and even when we pretty ugly.
He will never stop loving us.
Psalms 139:7-9
7Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
. 9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;."
Be blessed.
I thank God for you sharing your story with us.
I will share my story with you!
Psalms 118:26
"Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD."
King James Version (KJV)
"Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"
John 10:30
"I and my Father are one."
Blessings
That is my prayer for your situation at present lacking any further insight-will look later after work for updates.
