Now that we have the background out of the way then we can go to the revelation. As shown in Rev. 1:1, the angel is tasked with showing the revelation to John, and this begins in Rev. 6:1.
In this verse, the angel is called a beast. The changes in names throughout the revelation, help to seal the book. So, the angel of Verse 1:1 is called the beast in Verse 6:1. This is easy to see because anytime that John is shown something, then it is the angel of Verse 1:1 who was tasked with this job.
The seals are the revelation. That is, the book having seven seals attached is the book having the revelation attached ( Rev. 5:1). The Father gave the book with the seals attached to Jesus ( Rev. 5:7). Therefore, the Father gave the book with the revelation attached to Jesus. Thus, the Father gave the revelation to Jesus ( Rev. 1:1).

Pt 2
3) When God converts us by His choice, power, and goodness, (It seems like a process as I explained in step 2) But it isn't such in God's eyes; He does all of these things, perhaps at once or in short succession when He determines it is time for us to receive the end to our election, which is salvation and eternal life. I am so glad that it is God who chooses to bring us to faith in Jesus and receive salvation because Scripture teaches than none can choose salvation or seek after God in Christ in absence of God's work of grace, choosing, mercy, regeneration, and drawing that produces faith to believe the Gospel and trust in Jesus for all that He won for us in His death and resurrection.
4) Scripture teaches that our salvation is not dependent upon our maturity in our Christian life, our surrender to Him, nor in our understanding of what salvation truly means and entails. It is not dependent upon our act of faith, nor our repentance, nor our sincerity to resist sin or our striving to live in obedience to Him. it is all of grace.
5) Because these things are true and taught in Scripture, ANYONE who believes in Jesus has received the blessing of His Spirit and the indwelling Presence of the Father and the Son and Holy Spirit. Those receiving this salvation in Christ can be assured that they are in a saved state despite their failings, immaturity, or even wrong doctrine because it is God who elected all of these to salvation and will accomplish just that in all who are so elected. He has willed it from eternity past and it will certainly happen.
6) I want to encourage everyone who has read what you posted of Spurgeon to know these truths so that no one will be worried that they have a "false" faith or conversion. I believe that God is able to keep all whom He calls to salvation by election. Therefore, everyone who believes on Jesus just needs to go forward with life in Christ because the Holy Spirit guides, teaches, and orders our steps. See Pt. 3
I am doing well. Thanks for asking. Just in sort of a "lull" as far as posting. No worries. I enjoyed reading your postings of Charles Spurgeon. He can be exceedingly pointed at times in ways that will make people squirm some concerning their devotion to walking with God in Christ deeply. In ways that is good. We all need to take to heart what 1 Tim. 4:16 tells us to do, which is serious indeed, telling us to be reflective, watching our life and doctrine to be sure it aligns with what Scripture has taught us through the apostles and prophets. It says it profits us as far as touching our salvation and that of others by the example we show, whether rightly aligned or skewed.
2 Cor. 13:5 tells us to Examine ourself to see if we are truly of the faith (taught by the apostles through Scripture), prove ourselves (test) ourselves to be sure we are living, speaking, and sharing the faith set forth in Scripture; to be well aware that (Jesus in in us)and we in Him, knowing ourselves to be of the elect of God and not reprobates.
And 1 Jn. 5:13 tells us he has written his letters in order that we can believe in Jesus, God's Son, and know that we possess eternal life in Him.
Our salvation is not based on the correctness or depth of the doctrine we hold because so many new believers do not possess much of this yet but have been taught to them at after their regeneration by the Spirit. They have been made alive in Christ, given faith and a willingness to believe the gospel preached to them, which is the power of God for our salvation. The Scriptures clearly teach that:
1) It is God who regenerates us, draws us by the Gospel, gifts us with faith, and brings us to believe by freely willing it.
2) Therefore, our salvation is not up to us, but up to God's grace, mercy and love He purposed for us in Christ before creation. We are to boast only in Christ for bringing us to salvation.
See Pt. 2
1) We begin in Chapter One of The Book of Revelation, where John hears the Savior speaking from behind ( Rev. 1:10).
2) The Savior instructs John to write to the seven churches ( Rev. 1:11).
3) John turns to see the Savior but sees the seven churches ( Rev. 1:12).
4) In the midst of the seven churches is the Savior ( Rev. 1:13).
5) John describes the Savior's appearance ( Rev. 1:13-16).
6) After seeing the Savior, John fell at his feet. Then Jesus instructs John not to fear ( Rev. 1:17).
7) The Savior bestows upon John the keys of authority over hell and death ( Rev. 1:18).
8) Jesus instructs John to write things which he has seen, things which are, and things which will be hereafter ( Rev. 1:19)
9) Jesus explains two metaphors, which are the seven stars and the seven golden candlesticks ( Rev. 1:20)
10) John writes items 1 through 9, which are the "things he has seen."
11) John writes the "things which are" as the Savior speaks to the seven churches in Chapters Two and Three.
12) And John writes the "things which shall be hereafter" in Chapter Four.
From this, you can see that Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 4 are the introduction to The Book of Revelation in its most basic form. Additionally, Chapter Five begins the revelation.
13) The Father is on the throne and gives the revelation to Jesus ( Rev. 5:1, Rev. 5:7).
14) The Father instructs that the revelation is to be given to the servants. And Jesus instructs his angel to show the revelation to John to show to the servants ( Rev. 1:1).
15) John stipulates that he wrote The Gospel According to John ( Rev. 1:2)
16) John blesses those who can read The Book of Revelation and those who can hear. That they will keep and abide by the things written herein ( Rev. 1:3).
17) John states the greetings to the seven churches ( Rev. 1:4-7).
18) Jesus states his divine authority ( Rev. 1:8).
19) John states his location ( Rev. 1:9).
Just to elaborate a little further, To present us as a chased virginity means Christ has forever wiped the slate clean as far as justification goes by the atonement of his blood.
Blessings
Paul said in 2 Corinthians 11:2 "For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Then he goes on in verses 3-4 "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."
So Amen KsK, There's no other way to the father but through the Son!
Divided in the middle, The Book of Revelation has eleven chapters in the first half of the book, and eleven chapters in the second half of the book.
The two halves of the book each contain two storylines. So there are four storylines in the book.
Ch. 4-8, the first storyline is "the seals"
...Ch. 8-11, the second storyline is "the trumpets"
...Ch. 12-16, the third storyline is "the mark of the beast"
Ch. 17-21, the fourth storyline is "the fall of Babylon"
Chapter One is the introduction, and Chapter Twenty-Two is the conclusion
Chapters Two and Three are the messages to the churches. Also, these two chapters contain the gifts of "the marriage.
When Chapters Two and Three are combined, then Chapter Twelve rotates to the central position of the book, making it the chiasmus center of the book.
1, introduction
.2-3, gifts of the marriage
..4-11, the seals and trumpets that comprise the entire seven years of tribulation and judgment
...Chapter 12 is the chiasmus center with Verses 12:7-10 as the exact center of the book
..13-16, The mark of the beast storyline that has the beast in Ch. 13, his demise in Ch. 14, and the judgment in 15-16
.17-21, the fall of Babylon that contains the marriage in Chapter Nineteen
22, conclusion
Oh I almost forgot we are starting at the beginning of revelation.
Thank you for indulging me in my responses to your postings.
Part 5 is easy to understand. Faith is the evidence that the individual has received a new life. In association with that faith is that the individual begins the practice of repentance.
Since the Savior is the only one who can forgive sin, and he directs us to repent and ask forgiveness of the Father, then our most important relationship is with the Savior. Because no one comes to the Father but by Jesus Christ.
So we pray to the Father as directed by Jesus. And Jesus, having all authority given to him by the Father, has paid the price for sin. Thus, he takes upon himself our sins so that we are clean before the Father. There is no other way to the Father but by Jesus.
It is through this process of perfecting our lives in Christ that we are obedient to the Father. For without Christ, we are lost with no hope. But we do have hope in the loving embrace of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
These kinds of things are between you and the Savior. Confession to the church is not necessary. Further, we are all sinners of one thing or another. So pick yourself up and confront the challenge of mortality.
Stay clean before your God.
Here's part 2.
As I was saying we are resting on faith that is of God and made real to us by his Spirit.
When God asks us to believe in him, there is substance he's "causing" us to believe on!
(God's word!)
God's glory and reputation is at stake in his promises as seen in his dealings with Israel in the OT.
Ezekiel 36:20-22
"And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land.
But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
Thank God for his grace and mercy and his unwavering word.
Blessings.
Hebrews 10:38-39 reads, "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
BUT WE ARE NOT OF THEM WHO DRAW BACK UNTO PERDITION; BUT OF THEM THAT BELIEVE TO THE SAVING OF THE SOUL.
As for blind faith, the Lord never asks us for blind faith.
Faith is not a leap in the dark.
Faith rest on real knowledge, it is substance that we have faith in. "God's word!"
Faith originates from hearing the Word of God ( Romans 10:17
Hebrews 11:1reads "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The word evidence is the Greek word "elegchos" which is a legal term meaning "evidence that is accepted for conviction.
I believe God wants a foundation under our beliefs, which is provided through supernatural signs.
True faith rests upon God's trustworthy character and His revealed Word, not on a lack of understanding or evidence.
Abraham was given covenant promises.
One of those promises is seen in
Genesis 22:18 "And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Abraham was given other verbal promises including a Davidic Kingdom and he was promised a Son from his own bowels. (Issac)
This miraculous birth was not by the will of Abraham but by knowledge of the verbal promise and Abraham believed.
We're also Children of promise. Galatians 4:28.
We can trust and rest on God's word.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that "WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM" should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:14-16.
Running out of space.
See part 2
Romans 10:17 KJV
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Amen! John is indeed giving a statement of fact in today's verse of the day ( 1 John 5:13). In 1 John Chapter 5, we have the doctrine of salvation and John brings together in summary form all that he has talked about in the previous four chapters in order to give assurance to those who believe, but also to give caution to those who think they are saved but they're really not.
John 5:6-13 gives us the correct testimony about Christ. And today's verse gives us proof so that we can know assuredly that we belong to Christ.
Blessings to you in Christ!
