    Are we Babylon?

Looking at Jeremiah 50 and 51 and sections of Isaiah there are many characteristics that seem to mirror our nation. These would include having great wealth

"The LORD hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans." (chapter 50; verse 25 indicating in NIV "grainaries" for storehouses).

    A world power (chapter 50; verse 23:

"How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!"

    And consider Isaiah 18:2

Which sends envoys by the sea,

Even in papyrus vessels on the surface of the waters.

Go, swift messengers, to a nation tall and smooth,

To a people feared far and wide,

    A powerful and oppressive nation

    Whose land the rivers divide.

These verses remind us of the maritime trade in NYC and other ports as well as the great rivers that divide our nation (Mississippi; Ohio for example).

A lot of course would depend on other verses indicating the Antichrist oppressing the whole earth at the time of the end and the collateral damage. Whatever the case may be no doubt we are involved with God's wrath on the whole earth And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD. ( Ezekiel 39:6).

It behooves us to read the numerous prophecies in Scripture (not just Revelation) to get a fuller perspective into the whole counsel of God. No doubt we are ripe for destruction as the rest of the world.

As I've pointed out in previous posts the last few years we have exported much pornography; and caused much violence of war in our history not to mention with the internet and often are the instigators of a culture of death that later becomes popular in other nations. We also have had the occult present since our inception along with men of God who stood for the truth no matter what the cost.

I agree. The Lord will sustain His own body; but of course Jesus asks will any faith be on the earth when He returns.

I will attempt to the best of my ability to relay spiritual information in my response here.

I don't know your exact age; I am a sliver over 60 and I would guess you are close to that yourself. Things that I have discerned over 40 years ago have come into fruition; and of course the same players on the spiritual arena of God's angels and Satan's minions (fallen angels) are still fighting battles but the war of course was already won at Calvary.

Today's distractions can both overwhelm the believer with sorrow; anger and fear based on what's happening in this world on the "outside" as I would call it. We can take heart that God still has a remnant; especially with youth that aren't often brought up with any values that would indicate a life of faith; but God is their teacher and Father. The church as an institution I have said before is doomed for failure; and those left behind after the Rapture won't know the difference by and large through deliberate ignorance of evidence given as best I see it; hence by default part of the religious Babylon one world system.

This death is inevitable as it happened also with Israel where the old system of sacrifices was made obsolete. God will of course work in the Tribulation in great ways alongside God's judgments for a time with the 2 witnesses and 144,000.

The enemy as I've also stated recently is by God's mandate and his own enjoyment of mocking his dumb sheep will state what he is doing ahead of time. This seems to parallel the warnings about artificial intelligence followed by touting how great it will be (by a certain individual). Truth be told the unregenerate are all slaves to sin and hellbound; before or after the infamous mark is established and mandated.

Very few Chistians can see into the spiritual realm and are in spiritual warfare accordingly.

    I'll probably post more.

    Amen Brother Giannis!

When we fall God is there and bestows mercy on us!

This certainly should strengthen and humble us, and move us from self-reliance to dependence on God's strength.

    Praise God for his mercy.

    Blessings.

I was greatly enlightened by all you

shared. There will be a great change,

in the days ahead. The days of hell and

    high water are rapidly approaching.

    The Church has remained

    a spiritual force

    for peace and

good will and shall continue to stand firm.

The gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

My prayer is that my faith fail not. Lord,

help me to endure until the end. Amen!

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" Rom 8:31

Last week as I woke up on Saturday morning and spent some time praying, praising, but also thinking about various things, an incident from when I was a little boy came into my mind.

I remembered the time when I first learned to ride a bicycle. I couldn't stand up on the bicycle so my father would hold the back of the bicycle as I was riding. One time, while I was riding, certain that my father was holding the back of the bike, I turned and looked back at my father. I was shocked to see him at a distance. My father, without telling me, stopped holding me and watched me ride my bike without falling down. But when I saw that he wasn't there, I got scared and immediately fell down (but that gave me courage to start trying to ride my bike by myself)

So I thought. Isn't it the same with us and God? When we believe that God is with us and holds us in our lives, we can walk without any problem, fearless of anything that may happen in our lives. Because we know that God holds us and won't let us alone. But when we lose our faith and we see God being far away and think that we are alone, then we get scared and consequently we fall. But unlike my father, God never leaves us alone. He is always by our side holding us by the hand. So let us not lose our faith and let us continue walking on the path of our life with courage and without any fear. Because God always walks with us. He will never let us down. We do not see Him with our eyes, but let's see Him with our eyes of faith.

    Have a blessed weekend

Thank you, Giannis, for answering my question. GOD's love is an excellent place to start. I did this with my husband, but I find it harder with others. It is interesting that you mentioned fasting, as I have just begun to fast this year. Fasting has deepened my relationship with GOD, Jesus and the Holy Spirit every time. God bless your family and you!

Our liberty in Christ requires personal responsibility and can incur significant cost, including potential loss of relationships: family, friends, Jobs, the comfort and security the flesh demands. Many avoid independence of conscience due to fear, preferring security in conformity. Exercising our liberty often means standing alone, steadfast, in the faith. Faith is strengthened by reading and diligently studying God's word to be able to live the law of liberty whence we stand. We will be judged on our use of our liberty.

James 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by THE LAW OF LIBERTY.

1 Pet 2:16 As free, and NOT USING YOUR LIBERTY FOR A CLOKE OF MALICIOUSNESS, BUT AS THE SERVANTS OF GOD.

Gal 5:13 ye have been called unto liberty; only USE NOT LIBERTY FOR AN OCCASION TO THE FLESH, but by love serve one another.

Now is a time for self-sacrifice, not judgment. Believers are called to service, sacrifice, and suffering. We are called to serve in the Gospel, to make whatever sacrifices needed to do so, and to suffer the consequences of that service.

    -- Phil 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, BUT ALSO TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE;

To grow in faith and be steadfast in choosing good over evil, right over wrong, regardless of cost, is required of our having liberty.

Mortifying the flesh and walking in the Spirit, stepping forward and standing alone, is a fearful thing for babes in the faith. Maturity demands us to "LABOUR IN THE WORD AND DOCTRINE."

We are engaged in a deadly conflict, a war over the souls of men. It is a matter of life or death to all those within our sphere of influence. Failing to follow the instructions given weakens our testimony. The battleground is the hearts of men. Not all things are expedient for the purpose of winning those hearts.

1 Cor 10:23 All things are lawful for me, BUT ALL THINGS ARE NOT EXPEDIENT: ALL THINGS EDIFY NOT.

    Chapter one chasimus center

There are different types of chiasmi. The one above is what I consider abbreviated. Because the verses are not stated individually. Also, chiasmi change depending upon what the researcher is looking for. That is, a chiasmius is simply a tool for studying scripture. At least that is how I use chiasmi.

Sometimes I use a chiasmus like reading a book. The progression goes from 1, 2, 3, etc. or a, b, c, etc. I use a, b, c, for the most part, but I also use 1, 2, 3. There is not really a specific way for this as long as you keep the rules straight. The first rule is that the chiasmus reads from left to right to the center, and then from right to left to the end.

    a, begin

    ...b

    c, end

    1, begin

    ...2

    3, end

Often, I look at the parallels from top to bottom.

    a, top

    ...b

    c, bottom

When I look at the parallels, I change the numbering to reflect that I am reading parallels; the top and bottom. That is, I am not reading the chiasmus as a linear read, but top to bottom.

    a, top

    ...b

    a, bottom

There is a third type of chiasmus that I use but not that often, which is a spiral. Often, the spiral becomes obvious. So it is not so much a tool but something that can be found.

    1

    ...3

    2

So that is the three types of chiasmi that I use and how I use them.

At times, I find a "reverse" in the chiasmus. That is, the chiasmus is out of order. I call reverses "X" chiasmi because the reverse shows up as an "X". Here is an example:

    Rev. 4:3

    a) And he that sat was to look upon

    ...b) like a jasper

    ......c) and a sardine stone:

...a) and there was a rainbow round about the throne,

    b) in sight like unto an emerald.

This is an X chiasmus. Can you see the X?

Great Job you can now write it down on paper.

Well I believe the seals are open because John whrot revelation andAnd Revelation was written around ad in Bible times so and that happened in the past and it's God's love letter to us so God wrote it a long time ago and it's still getting ridden in other translations so yeah so the seals are open cuz John had the vision and it already happened the Bible already happened but around the end in Revelation 22:22 says I am coming quickly and then John says yes Lord be them there it's just my belief cuz maybe you might be correct but maybe not I yeah wait, I just had this thought maybe it didn't happen yet Revelation was just a vision John had and all of rev revelation could be soon but John did write to those churches to the places where Paul started speaking of posted the first church and probably last Church in Bible times so yeah adios amigos
  • Ksk - In Reply - 6 months ago
Continuing with Rev. 4:3 stated as an X chiasmus and then stated in standard form.

    a) And he that sat was to look upon

    ...b) like a jasper

    ......c) and a sardine stone:

...a) and there was a rainbow round about the throne,

    b) in sight like unto an emerald.

    a) And he that sat was to look upon

    ...b) like a jasper

    ......c) and a sardine stone:

...b) in sight like unto an emerald.

    a) and there was a rainbow round about the throne,

Notice that "a, b" has been corrected in the above verse. And now the verse reads a a, b b, c. Whereas before it read a b, b a, c.

In this verse, John is looking at the throne of God. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are represented as the jasper, sardine, and emerald. The center of the Godhead is Christ.

    Jasper (The Father)

    ...Sardine (Christ)

    Emerald (Holy Ghost)

With the verse placed into standard form, the Godhead represented by the stones is easy to see. The Book of Revelation is like this. In order to read the book at the higher levels of interpretation, you must read the chiasmi. It takes years of work to do this, and I can share my understanding of the book with you.

It would be nice if we had a larger area to work rather than the limited space in these postings. Another example of an X chiasmus is Rev. 19:19. This verse is a reverse chiasmus because the kings of the earth are the Savior's army.

    And I saw the beast,

...and the kings of the earth,

......and their armies, gathered together to make war

...against him that sat on the horse,

    and against his army.

    a) And I saw the beast,

...b) and the kings of the earth,

......c) and their armies, gathered together to make war

...a) against him that sat on the horse,

    b) and against his army.

    a) And I saw the beast,

...b) and the kings of the earth,

......c) and their armies, gathered together to make war

... b) and against his army.

    a) against him that sat on the horse,

The verse reads a a, b b, c after it is changed from an X chiasmus into standard form.

    The end of private ownership

As many are aware there are plans to eliminate private property and expectations that people will be happy to own nothing in the near future. However as the seal judgments indicate things won't go too well for those elitists either who think they can fare better than the rest of the world once their plans for economic collapse transpire. That is because God Himself will add to the famine; plague and wars and every sector of society will realize what's going on after the martyrs of the fifth seal have begun to die. Somehow heaven will open up with the sixth seal earthquake and men's hearts will be full of terror; only to be replaced with an attitude of fighting against God after adulation and servitude with the ownership of the Revelation 13 Beast.

We can be assured that God will not allow full fruition of Satan's master plan until after the Rapture; and that He will stop total annihilation of all life on earth by shortening this time of unprecedented trouble; albeit with very few to survive into the Millennium and to live with the glorified saints at that time until more children are born to them. There can be no doubt that the world is hurtling at breakneck speed to achieve the globalist utopia. No matter how you slice it this place is going DOWN.

We should be grateful that the truth is coming out; that there is nothing hidden anymore as to the plans to screw up this world.

There are those who still hold onto the moral values of past generations; but we need to realize that apart from Christ's sanctifying work it is all a veneer and that we all are as Pharisees were described by Jesus as "dead men's bones". Yes we can see how the whole fabric of society breaks down when the law isn't followed but again that is only meant for unbelievers; those in Christ have the Spirit in them and only they can actually love the law as Psalm 119 expresses in the longest chapter in scripture. Maranatha; Lord come soon.

    Addendum

I did mean to say that despite appearance I do NOT believe the seals are open because it appears Christ personally opens it and we will also be in the number when it is asked who is worthy to open them and will be very sad as John was then rejoice at the victory of the Lamb.

    Are we in the Tribulation?

I mentioned in a post about a couple weeks back that the blood can be seen in space in Nigeria as well as Sudan (apparently especially near Darfur). This is a result of massacres mainly of Christians although some Muslims are likely mixed in as well.

In one hand; if we look at what went on during the Middle Ages and much of Muslim history especially in areas in Indonesia; India and surrounding lands countless millions were slaughtered at that time as well. We have all the inquisitions and other persecution in Europe of that time as well.

Considering all the other signs going on; it would seem that the seals are opened or that the birth pangs at least could encompass a time immediately before the Tribulation when it no doubt intensifies. It does seem that there is some differentiation with those who die in Christ and are present with the Lord with those who temporarily remain under the throne which seem to be Tribulation saints. Nonetheless we can certainly see shades of what is to come; although the restrainer is still holding back total destruction as the gates of hell don't prevail overall against the church; as some escepe and continue to spread the Gospel and some see martyrs die and eventually come themselves even as persecutors to the faith. This seems less likely during the Tribulation in my mind as well.

As I said recently it seems that this whole economic obsession with artificial intelligence and supercomputers in general is about to be an economic bubble about to burst; if for any reason to consolidate the market to one system the Antichrist Beast can utilize. The economic collapse no doubt will bring in one world currency and also I would predict consolidate that from numerous versions today to gain control. I never thought of the parable of the talents in regard to actual money but if we don't invest wisely we could end up with nothing; again let us invest our money; time and talents for heavenly treasure.

Please consider The Book of Revelation Chapter One ( Rev. 1). Where is the chiasmus center? As I have previously explained, the Savior is often the center of the chiasmus.

    Rev. 1:1-7

..... Rev. 1:8, The Chapter One chiasmus center

    Rev. 1:9-20

There are different types of chiasmi. The one above is what I consider abbreviated. Because the verses are not stated individually. That is certainly a true observation & understanding of the true child of God. Thanks Dpaulw.

Unfortunately, as Christians, we take hold of certain beliefs and practises seen in the Bible and then confidently apply it to our lives and profession, whether rightly or wrongly. The Scriptures you shared are indeed the true nature of the one who is truly in Christ and we must allow the Holy Spirit to develop and mature us into the Image of Christ, which can take much time & crucifying of the flesh.

But some believers may also read those same verses in agreement but also read many other instances of God's condemnation of Israel and the nations; one such is in Amos 2:1-3 (the nations: Moab), and in Amos 2:4-8 (of Judah). So, in their thinking, if God can be violently against such for their many sins (via the prophet's voice), why shouldn't we stand tall, be bold and vocal, and condemn others today for engaging in godless pursuits?

I also don't believe any good can come from this sort of behavior, rather Christ's name and His people will be spat upon. Titus 3:2,3, as you quoted, would instruct us well in this matter. Even to follow the Apostle Paul's manner in this: he 'reasoned' with the people (be it the Jews ( Acts 18:19) or Gentiles ( Acts 24:24,25). Screaming at and belittling the unsaved does great damage to Christ's Name and the Gospel; but entering into clear, concise, reasoned discussion may cause the wayward to reconsider his life and ways & not make him resistant to the Gospel that can save him. Blessings.

Further thoughts on my previous post

The crux of the matter in regard to selling all we have; giving to the poor and following Christ is having our life be centered on Christ's mission and the Body of believers we found ourselves surrounded by. I have known brothers in the Lord who saw no need for Life Insurance (albeit by someone who used to work in that industry and no doubt was jaded); and others who would live uncomfortably cold in order to save money for their family upon their death. There is indeed an advantage to selling everything to keep us from focusing on any further earthly investments especially if they have no one else to take care of. For some that can mean downsizing; or perhaps keeping their home but opening it up for other believers to stay when travelling and selling any valuables rather than passing it down.

This presents the question of having any resources for future shortages; particularly food being saved; but perhaps some precious metal; etc. The most efficient means for the first is rotating and using up stuff that by the expiration date to avoid waste and giving it to those in need now. As far as gold and silver are concerned we need to consider the warnings of the last days in James and in Isaiah when it will tarnish and be cast away as worthless. What is most important is a heart issue here; and no doubt earthly treasures take up an inordinate amount of time and our affections can be turned away from the Lord; hence we certainly want to learn what Solomon did before learning the hard way not to accrue large amounts of wealth or put our faith in them having a certain future value.

The poor as Jesus said will always be with us; and there is no end to charities requests for funds. We need to be steadfast and unmovable keeping what we have committed to the Lord and entrusting anything we have left in His hands as it all is His and we can't take it with us when we leave this earth.

Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Luke 18:22 22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Luke 12:33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

The first two passages apply to a rich man who claimed to have followed the law; no doubt not at God's standards but nonetheless the main issue was his covetous heart related to possessions. The last passage was Jesus talking with His Disciples about His providing basic food and clothing needs (again; as I have emphasized before shelter even for Christ was a nomadic transient thing given His type of ministry).

Considering the meaning here we have to observe the whole pattern of valuing God over family; as Jesus Himself demonstrated when stating "who is my mother and brother ( Matt. 12:58); and then in the next two verses explains that the Disciples are such.

What we can't say is that Jesus wants us to forego all sources of work or financial plans. Jesus Himself worked for most of His adult life before the last few years of ministry; and Paul would provide for himself making tents; and also commended some wealthy women who were beneficial in the ministry. Money was to be set aside the first day of the week; etc.

I can also look in my own life to the house I own; legally I can't sell it even if I wanted to as it is in my Dad's name even though it goes to me when he passes.

What is clear to me is that all of our money should in the present and future plans be planned to support the Lord; in my case I don't have any children to support. Once we "retire" all our time should focus on ministry as health allows.

That is a good idea, but better yet is a question and answer, where the context is a series that can be put into categories. You decide the categories, and the completed text is yours to do with as you wish.

    I like that idea.

    2 Timothy 2:24-26 And the servant of the Lord MUST NOT STRIVE; but BE GENTLE unto all men, apt to teach, PATIENT, 25IN MEEKNESS instructing those that oppose themselves;

A Christian street evangelist was demonstrating outside a city amphitheater. He was part of a group of individuals heckling concert goers through a megaphone, calling them "whores," "sissies," and "Jezebels."

Taking the above into consideration, it does not appear that the two quotes are compatible by any rational standard.

There is a contingent of Christians, at least in name, who have arrived at a biblically skewed conclusion that the ministry of the Gospel of Christ Jesus includes harassing, denigrating, insulting, and otherwise badgering the lost. This attitude could not be further from our biblical calling.

The Bible provides precise instructions on how to conduct ourselves when occupied in the ministry of the Gospel: preaching, witnessing, and otherwise engaging with the lost. None of which includes calling them "whores," "sissies," and "Jezebels." The servant of the Lord must:

    Not Strive

    Be Gentle

    Be Apt to Teach

    Be Patient

    In Meekness Instructing

Titus 3:2-3 To SPEAK EVIL OF NO MAN, to be NO BRAWLERS, but GENTLE, shewing all MEEKNESS unto all men. 3For WE OURSELVES ALSO were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy,

Would you have received the Gospel being harassed, denigrated, insulted, and badgered? It is reminiscent of the Inquisition, not the love and grace of God.

    Philippians 1:27 Only LET YOUR CONVERSATION BE AS IT BECOMETH THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST that ye STAND FAST IN ONE SPIRIT, WITH ONE MIND STRIVING TOGETHER FOR THE FAITH OF THE GOSPEL;

To be of one mind, we all have to follow the same rules.

Colossians 3:14 And above all these things PUT ON CHARITY, which is the bond of perfectness.

James 2:8 IF YE FULFIL THE ROYAL LAW according to the scripture, Thou shalt LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF,...

Joseph, that is kind of you to say. I have tried to write about The Book of Revelation, but the multiple levels of interpretations make it near-impossible for me to do. It may be the case that it can not be done.

For example, the seals in Chapter Six reference the six millennia of man upon the earth. They also reference the saints to be resurrected. And the power transfers from God to Jesus, to the angel, to John, then to the beast and his false prophet, and lastly to the 144,000.

There are other things the Chapter Six seals reference to a lesser degree, one of which is the three judgments that are primarily stated in Verse 6:4 and set to the following chiasmus:

"And there went out another horse that was red:

...and power was given to him that sat thereon

.....to take peace from the earth,

...and that they should kill one another:

and there was given unto him a great sword."

An interesting thing about chiasmi in scripture is that the Savior is often the center. Not always, but perhaps fifty percent of the time. Thus, the center is saying "to take the Savior from the earth." This is the harvest of saints. The result is that the people of the world will "kill one another" because the followers of Christ are gone. In consequence of this killing, the Lord will give the angel, who is the rider of the red horse, a great sword. This sword was the bow in Rev. 6:2. The Savior had this bow in his hand when he was given authority over the book and the seals in Rev. 5:7. Although the bow is called by a series of names in Rev. 5:6.

Thus, the Savior gives the angel the bow now called the sword. Then the angel gives power and authority to the next in line, which is John ( Rev. 1:1). Therefore, John is the rider of the black horse. Rev. 6:5-6 explains how John will conduct himself with this power and authority. We see this entire chain of events unfolding in Rev. 10. It shows that the seals and trumpets contain much of the same information.
