I loved parts 1 and 2 of this post. My heart leapt from joy to read God's Truth shared. Spending time with God without distractions changes everything. Thank you for taking the time to write this. God bless your family and you.
Thank you so much for the hard work and wonderful website. I am praying for this ministry and for you.
But not only will He come. He will also carry my cross. And many times it will be only Him who carries my cross. And many times I will think I can handle it, but His strength will be the one who will handle it. And many times I will think I am walking, but He will be the one walking the path.
And I will think that I have found my inner strength to survive but it will be His own strength in me. And many times I will think that I can breath but it be Him who breaths.
At the end everything is His, only if we tell Him "come to my life". If only we invite Him to come, to walk with us,. And He will do it.
God has not left us orphans. We are valuable to Him. Maybe we are nothing to the world, but we are everything to God. And this only matters, doesn't it?
Have a weekend together with God.
It is true that life is always difficult for people, for all people without any exception, to a greater or lesser degree. There are times when the events that come into our lives find us in a position like Job's. Helpless. When we wait for the sunrise, we find the sunset before us. When we feel that this is the time of joy, sadness comes into our lives.
This is the nature of the human life. Of all people. And we often conclude like Job: "Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling? As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an hireling looketh for the reward of his work: So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me."
There isn't a single person on earth who can say that his life has been happy. There are always good and bad times in our lives. "A time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance." For all people without any exception.
Sometimes the events we experience in daily life make our life like a cross. A heavy cross to bear. And here is that we must share our cross. If we don't share our cross we are lost, we cannot live, we will go crazy. If we don't make our cross the cross of Jesus, we will be lost, we will go crazy. Life is not bearable. Only when I make my cross the cross of Jesus, that is, to share my cross with Jesus, to see my crucifixion as the crucifixion of Jesus, to ask Him to come with me, then I can walk in life.
When I ask Jesus to come with me, regardless of whether I am a sinner or not, whether I have passions or weaknesses, Jesus will always come. Jesus never rejected a hand that was extended to Him. Never ever. God has rejected a hand that has been extended to Him. He always holds the hand that asks from Him.
Romans 8:18 KJV
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us
Allows the Christian be at peace with all others allowing nothing to stop you or burned away to prosper.
What can I say? It is a big trial that you are going through. We are human, when we are going through tough situations we are wondering if God sees us, If He is still having interest in us. Like John the Baptist in the jail wondering if Jesus was the Messiah. It was John's time to be tried. But Jesus didn't let him down. He had a plan for him. Not to free him but To take him with Him shortly. We don't know the plan God has for every single one of us. But we have to put our trust in Him.
The scriptures say that nobody untried will enter the kingdom of God. Maybe this is the time for you to be tried by God. Maybe God uses the events you are going through now to mature you. Israel, after walking out of Egypt towards the land of promise, walked throught the wilderness. Along the way they learned to trust God for their needs in every single day of their course. God always provided for them. Sometimes they were left hungry or thirsty for few days but they always received at the end what they needed. They had to learn that "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." You have to trust God even if you don't see Him in your life. Rely on Him, He will not let you down. Stephen was not seeing Jesus when he was stonned by the Jews. But Jesus was standing next to God's throne watching him. He was not sitting down but standing. Standing because He was participating in His child trial, He was not apathetic. Jesus sees you. Rely on Him. He will lead you where He wants to. He has a plan for you. Stay next to Him and hold His hand. In a time of trial we must come closer to God. God will use His own way to support you.
Rely on God's love. God loves you, He tasted a death on a cross for you. Will He abandon you now? No, never. You are precious to God. You are necessary to God. He needs you. Your life will be a testimony of your faith which God will use to save people, including your sons. I will pray for you. GBU.
18:For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Word Spoken and Written by REDAPPLETREATY4MEONLY
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. ( 1 Corinthians 1:25).
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. ( Romans 1:22-25).
2 Thessalonians 2:11
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
Man has often sought one of two courses. The first result of man's degenerate state is wars; whether we look at the first murder involving Cain the firstborn son of Adam and Eve and their second child Abel; or the wars early on in Genesis and overall violence and corruption of the earth. The second is the attempt to replicate a "utopia" on earth. Often especially with the kings; emporers and dictators that came later on we see both occuring at the same time. This theme was apparent in ancient Rome and Greece where the materialism along with worship of idols led to eventual moral malaise and the self destruction within of civilizations which we see so often today.
It is clear that we are heading for the final consummation; the final dictatorship of the Beast Antichrist so clearly described in Revelation; and seen in repeated past rulers who partially fulfilled the prophecies as to the character. His end is thus ( Psalm 2:9-10)
The Lord will devour them in his anger,
and fire will consume them.
10 None of their descendants will survive;
the king will kill them all.
Always keep in mind that we CANNOT escape judgment without Christ; OR the call to worship Antichrist if unregenerate.
I sense you indeed have great faith and joy.
Remember there are many charlatans out there who will exploit some claimed miracle for gain. The medical field needs to see God at work more in these situations.

As for the house; with my mom passed there is a brochure at least every other day along with the increasing online ads "buy home as is"; no doubt there are some reputable establishements where that can be expedited. Also in your situation there is something called a "reverse mortgage" if your home is paid off (Tom Selleck has a promo on that as you may have seen last year).
I would encourage you to look around with silver at 55 dollars an ounce; gold well above 4000 for any old coins or jewelry around.
Even copper is at all time highs.
My friend who used to be in the military but is physically too unhealthy to work anymore also is fairly estranged by family members; who aren't offering any help in his bankruptcy state that he just began to get legal counsel for. Because of this it was nice to help him out with a meal and shopping which I do fairly routinely on his behalf. Make sure to check out places as he does that have food pantries; as often only one is limited. Volunteer opportunities may be there as well.
Not sure where your kids are spiritually; as with my friend I suspect if they are professing believers they aren't living out their faith. Right now they are adults and I suspect if they are His children the Lord will have to chastise them for not concerning themselves about your needs and they need to check verses about those who don't take care of their own and scriptural warnings.
Since you are involved with church I suppose you could inquire about help with any benevolence funds; if you haven't already.
Not sure if another woman who is in your situation may have housing available or rental property that is decent. Finally of course you can rent your property to someone else usually (at least in my township); there is a form to be filled out for a nominal fee to allow you to rent.
Keep being a prayer warrior.

I have been doing a deep dive into some secular music that is in the old progressive rock and sadly one or two of these groups directly mention pagan gods in their music. This is something I will have to monitor carefully; as some songs seem not to have any elements of this; and of course individuals in bands and music styles change over time. I could use prayer of wisdom as I am learning guitar and have a musical ear; and wish to honor the Lord but not get caught in the trap of hypnotic trance and other oppressive elements of certain music. This is even possible with certain classical music but much of it of the Baroque artists gives glory to God.
We all are led astray when following our own flesh and its natural desires. As with anything else; Satan can tempt us and not only may but WILL fool ALL unregenerate men who will be following the pied piper to eventually fight against Christ at Armageddon even after hiding from Him in the sixth seal knnowing what they've don no doubt.
We need to guard as much in our individual lives as we do with those we associate with. According to 1 Timothy 6:7-8
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
Obsessing over our material gains and creature comforts isn't healthy for us. Again; it is a balance with my coin collecting as I have been able to work meticulously with purchasing under cost but I don't plan to invest beyond a certain limit and not at the expense of opportunities to serve the Lord through service; witnessing; etc. This is why I don't hold onto too much and sell frequently (also I don't want too much at home if something gets stolen).
Job also said that the Lord gives and takes away (someone in college told me that).

As we read through portions of the Bible (and of course, we can't read and properly digest all of its contents in a single sitting), we need to always bear in mind that to properly understand the Scriptures, we need to take all of it into account - not just in single isolated parts. Remembering too, that the Bible is both an historical account of peoples, nations, and God's dealing with them, as well as deep and profound Truths that we need to store in our hearts and apply in our lives. Therefore, to learn it correctly, we need to always keep in mind certain questions: such as, about the writer of the particular Bible Book; to whom was God's Message given; why was it given; was God's Message under the Old or New Covenants; does it now apply to Christ's Church; and to know that if an answer to our query isn't forthcoming from our reading, then we must be patient as revelation will be given as we continue in study, waiting on the Holy Spirit.
You're probably aware of all I've suggested, but to apply it to a couple of your points here: "the Sabbath day is special; we must respect that". That is correct, but the understanding we get from it will be quite different when we ask those questions given earlier. You also mentioned, "It is not good for a man or a woman to be alone; we all need to get a partner." You quoted from Genesis 2:18. But when we get to the New Testament where Jesus spoke on this, as the Apostle Paul also, we find that singleness is sometimes voluntary or required in the life. I'm not sharing much detail here, allowing you to look for the answers yourself, but simply to give direction as to how we should correctly read and understand the Word given to us. Every blessing in your studies.
1. The Sabbath day is special; we must respect that.
2. God has given us the authority to use everything he created for our own advantage and also make sure we maintain it.
3. It is not good for a man or a woman to be alone; we all need to get a partner
4. We must obey God at all costs if we want to remain in His presence forever.
May the Lord bless the reader and the listener of his word
Thanks, brethren.

-- Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but **be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,** that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Having trouble with sinful or lustful thoughts, it is due to having the desire to follow the flesh, being a babe in Christ. We have to mature by renewing our thoughts and desires. Men have freewill of desire, inclination, passion, aspirations, motivations, intentions, likes, dislikes, loves, hatreds. what we would like to do or would do if we could get away with it. We have the power to direct, command, our hearts and put down the flesh. We have to change those desires through our love and knowledge of the Lord. "The love of Christ constraineth us;" 2 Cor 5:14. This is done through the knowledge of God's word through the reading and diligent study of the Bible; "Let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me."
To the chagrin of some, the Lord does not change our freewill desires, we have to. We have to arm ourselves with the weapons to do so, the word of God, growing in faith and understanding. There are things that come with salvation that we have no control over, others we not only have control but the responsibility for. From Romans 12 through the rest of Pau's writings, 90% of what he says it telling us what we are to do and not do: how to act, talk, dress, wear our hair, what to think, etc. Our Christian life is under our control and guided by our heart's desires. The Devil does not make us do anything, he plays to our desires. It is our responsibility to command our hearts to follow the Spirit within us rather than the lust of the flesh.
One thing we must control is our emotions. They must be guided by the Spirit and truth and not the lust of the flesh. There are many things we get wrong due to wrongly directed emotions, fleshy emotions instead of led by the Spirit.
Much could be said, but I am out of characters
In Ezekiel 23 and Jeremiah 31:31-32 God said he was married to two sisters, Aholah, [Samaria] the house of Israel and Abolibah, [Jerusalem] the house of Judah. The child that was born to the married woman would be the Messiah. The Messiah was to come through the house of Judah, so Aholah, the house of Israel, Samaria, would be the barren one, the one who did not travail with child. This chapter is written to this barren one.
Jeremiah 3:8 tells us God divorced the house of Israel, but remained married to her sister Judah. The house of Israel, Aholah, would be the wife of youth who was refused, [divorced].
If you read Hosea 1:4-11 carefully it seems he is talking about the house of Israel and the house of Judah as different people. The word "house" is left out in some Bibles. Verses 4-6, and 8-10 are to the house of Israel, verse 7, the house of Judah, verse 11, to both. Verse 10 says, in spite of God having the house of Israel taken away and having no mercy on them, the number of their children shall be as the sand of the sea.
Once the house of Israel was carried away by the Assyrians, the house of Judah would be the only visible portion of God's people left, for a while.
Jeremiah 3:6-8 is telling us how Judah was following Israel's bad example. Now in verses 12-20 he will proclaim, prophesize, to the north, where the house of Israel was before the Assyrians carried them away. As in Hosea, Judah and Israel are not the same country. Here they are also referred to as sisters. Verse 12 has, Will not be angry forever. Verse 14, I am married to you. Verse 15, I will give you pastors to feed you with knowledge and understanding. "Will give" is in the future.Because God sent the house of Israel away with a writ of divorce and her continued idolatry, she would always be an adulteress in Gods eyes. That was until God, her first husband, died. After Isaiah 53 she was now free.
I recall visiting Williamsburg a long time ago that they explained turkey at that time was carefully cooked so the consistency was throughout rather than browning the outside (sounds pretty boring to me). I guess they may have had fish and other different items with their meals whatever was available.
Of course Canada has the event about a month earlier; likely due to the earlier harvest cycle.
This year I got a free turkey which wasn't too hard on the store card and credit accumulation. I think I was able to give it away last year and some earlier times since I moved back (as my mom couldn't handle the size and work of preparing a whole bird and opted for a breast instead). I hope the stuff doesn't spill out over the pan when I cook it; I may try to piecemeal it on the stovetop. We'll see...
To have the blessing of enough food; and a relatively safe quiet place to sleep at night I am more than grateful for; along with my friends such as Christine who drove by to pick up some groceries as I get over the rest of this congestion from the cold I had. Alas the Lord could take home His church at any time; perhaps before the end of this year. I pray all here no matter how good or bad their get togethers go can be a witness of the Lord through service toward others and character.
We are all family in Christ if saved and sanctified. I am sure others here are alone. I'm finding new fellowship well out of town when I can; and thankfully can listen online when I can't make it. Whether I find a place to stay out there is something to decide this spring or summer.
For now I will ask others to pray that I will find the best venue for preaching about the judgment to come. I want to encourage others here to be bold about their faith and unmoved by criticism within the church should the Lord be guiding you to speak up.
We don't need recognition of the world; but He knows who are His.

Psalm 107:1: "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!"
Psalm 7:17: "I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High."
Family tradition has kept some semblance of he original celebration of the Pilgrims who shared food with Indians never eaten before. What we're usually thankful for is a season of putting on some extra "meat on our bones"; time off of work; watching football; and starting with the Christmas holiday shopping the next day along with dredging out Christmas decorations. I wouldn't recommend the movie Christmas vacation to kids (although they have seen worse most likely). The interesting thing was no matter how crude those movies were the family still stuck together. I mention this because the hypocrisy of family pride; manners and such (like never insulting the cook) can end up being a legalistic death trap of polite mannerisms; fakeness and constantly haranguing with out of control kids which our perpetuation of behaviors from our own childhood often don't help but cause a sort of "self-fulfilling prophecy" as it were.
Last year with my mom dying wasn't pleasant; I remember her never liking what I made with the culmination of that around Christmas when I tried to make a nice steak meal and had to run around to several stores trying to follow all her directions which wasn't easy. But saying all that I am glad to be able to serve her as a witness of Christ and that she got to hear the Gospel before she passed on. With my Dad institutionized I'm glad to be able to see him; and since my Aunt lost her daughter last Spring I'm glad to be able to see her this weekend as well. I'm going to attempt to prepare a meal for my friend still getting over pnemonia.
Let's have our light shine before men truly giving thanks for all He's done.

Amen, the Lord has given us advice how to avoid getting into a risky situation. I often do something similar to what you do, I stop thinking a bad thought or think about something else, or even do something that keeps my mind busy and away from a bad thought or pray and give praise to God. Some other brothers in such cases ask for Jesus' Blood or think of verses from the scriptures that are against such thoughts or desires.
These are human efforts to protect ourselves and can be very successful. What I meant in my post is that we often rely on our own human efforts and avoid going to God for help. We avoid asking for His grace to guard us in our daily lives. There are cases that we are completely incapable of resisting to something. As an example a bad desire or a bad feeling for someone. Or an incapability to forgive someone who hurt me. So what do I do in a case that my efforts are not enough to keep me holy?
The answer to all that is that is that I succeed through God's grace. The purpose of fasting and praying is to ask strongly God for providing us His grace and help us. Fasting and praying are the strong weapons of a christian in his war against his enemies. An enemy can be myself, my own desires.
There is the example of Jesus going to the wilderness in the beginning of His ministry. The scriptures say that He entered the wilderness full of the Holy Spirit and after 40 days of fasting and praying He went out filled "with the power of the Spirit". Fasting and praying provides christians with God's power.
In my christian life I have come across two cases of christians claiming that the presence of the Spirit is so strong in them that nothing can affect them. Not for a day or two but for months and years. I believe them because I know them. They are serious people. I believe that when a christian is serious about his salvation and his relation with God then God is also serious with him.

In Second Timothy 2:5, Paul recorded the expression, "strive for masteries". This expression translates from the Greek verb root (transliterated "athleo"; pronounced "ath-LEH-"), from which the English language derives its word "athlete", meaning one who competes in athletic contests and games, and "athletics", comprising competitive track and field sports.
One could certainly argue that Apostle Paul was most assuredly interested in the sports of his day due to the several sporting analogies he used to compare to the Christian life. Consider the following:
+ "They which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize. So run, that ye may obtain" ( 1Cor. 9:24).
+ "I therefore so run" ( 1Cor. 9:26a).
+ "So fight I, not as one that beateth the air" ( 1Cor. 9:26b).
+ "Lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain" ( Gal. 2:2).
+ "Ye did run well" ( Gal. 5:7).
+ "We wrestle not against flesh and blood, " ( Eph. 6:12).
+ "Holding forth the Word of Life that I have not run in vain" ( Php. 2:16).
+ "I press toward the mark for the prize of the High Calling of GOD in CHRIST JESUS" ( Php. 3:14).
+ "Strive for masteries strive lawfully" ( 2Tim. 2:5).
+ "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the Faith" ( 2Tim. 4:7).
+ "Let us run with patience the race that is set before us" ( Heb. 12:1b)*.
* This reference is included with the assumption Apostle Paul wrote Hebrews.

Behold Me
"I am sought of them that asked not for me;
I am found of them that sought me not:
I said,
Behold me,
behold me,
unto a nation that was not called by my name."
"Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD,
Behold,
my servants shall eat,
but ye shall be hungry:
behold,
my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty:
behold,
my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:"
"Behold,
my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
"Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion,
Behold,
thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward
is with him, and his work before him."
"Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."
"And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."
To God be the Glory. Amen!

The Lord has provided the means to fight the lust of the flesh.
-- Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Stop letting the flesh and its lust drive the bus. When the flesh rises up, take back control of your thoughts, quote a verse. I have found for me all that is needed is to repeat a few times: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty.
-- Revelation 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
-- Isaiah 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
(I do not suppose that there is anyway of applying BOLD or Italic text in the comments and responses?)
An elder brother in Christ once told us that in all his christian life when he sees something he doesn't like inside his heart then he spends two to three days in fasting and praying and it goes away.

"Let go and let God".
I recently heard a story from someone on a video describing a woman's daughter and asking about (or his asking about) getting married to her. Apparently there was expectation of a lack of support which materialized with that sentiment as an initial reaction only to be radically altered after prayer when she exclaimed that God had told her she was wrong and he was basically sent by God to her. In this situation we learn several clear principles about wisdom; namely taking all things to prayer despite any prejudices we may have and being willling to admit when we are wrong.
Such insight and discernment may be unusual; and it doesn't contradict sound wisdom. We of course need to pay attention to legitimate alarm signals of abuse; and other valid reasons to object to someone's choice for a life partner among our offspring.
The same idea goes back generations when education was much more highly valued along with a family trade. When a son is an adult; of course we have no business prodding into their affairs should they choose the path of ministry after the fact of a college degree or perhaps a few years of secular work. IF we support them financially a fair deal may be "son work in a secular trade for a few years first"; such skills are useful in ministry and in fact broaden opportunities for service.
Just for fun I looked up how many women as opposed to men change college majors as well as careers. I apparently was wrong thinking men did this more than women in terms of college as well as jobs. Personally; I think women who are strong in areas such as teaching rarely have a problem or concern going in a different direction as someone gifted as a teacher usually knows that calling early on. More interesting is the STEEP drop off of available jobs anywhere once people get past about 30 years of age.
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
We see some other interesting concepts in verse 1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy; along with verse 21:
21 He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.
Discipline then becomes a "necessary evil" as we may want to view it; or the recipient thereof but clearly it is effective whether involving natural or those who aren't are biological offspring.
When we take a cursory look at one particular elite at present who I will leave anonymous-we see at best a product of the "yuppie" or techno generation kids who have a utopian view of creating a world where we no longer will have to work and; by default slaves of our technology. Interestingly a brother on a video the other day mentioned Genesis 2; and how God planned for man to work and till the garden even before the fall. It has become "uncool" these days to want to forage around and till the weeks and remove the thorns in this post industrial west.
Sorry to break it to those out there who are into this "pie in the sky" mentality; it appears from scripture that work will continue until the end; whether we look at verses describing "days like Noah" ( Matt. 24:37) or the fact that slaves and all other types of members of society all hide from God in the sixth seal judgment. I would guess that either He is coming any day now; or there is a delay (more likely) and this whole AI bubble is going to burst; and concerns will go back to food production as a main focus (no doubt a concern during the 3rd Seal). The real power with this technology will only be the power that the final Beast and his worship integrates into his control of the system creating his image.
