I have question why did God created different races when now they are mixing did he intend for them to do that I know we are all equal but why not have just one race if it don't mean anything

Each one works out his own.(salvation)

Usually when a family member does something, wrong . The whole family does suffer for it.

But God doesn't inflict that on you and your family. That family member does.

    Hi Dorothy,

Hopefully these may be the verses you were looking for:

James 4:13-15 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

Maybe Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

    God Bless.

    Romans chapter 1

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Just to add to the other brothers' good comments & to present another dimension to this difficult & awkward matter: I believe that if a person is convicted over sin or in the case you presented, if one should approach you to ask of a biblical perspective of the matter, then one is rightly obligated to reveal God's Word to them in a gentle, loving way that presents the Heart of God to gather in & save all sinners.

But if I could direct you to God's unchanged determination. When God declared the 'moral' laws & requirements to His people, it wasn't because the people suggested it to Him & wanted instruction, but that God took the initiative to give His people moral direction & the penalty that resulted through disobedience. What we have today, is that God's Word, indeed the Living God Himself, is no longer in the minds of the people, but that "every man does what is right in his own eyes" (as Israel often did). What should have been the foundation & pursuit of governments to hold onto God's directions for mankind, has become to pass laws that reflect community inclinations & desires & the voices of the 'academics' that present the result of their studies & their imaginations.

So when the committing of adultery, murder, striking one's parents, witchcraft/divination, incest, homosexuality, etc. were brought before Moses & others, the death penalty was given. How far we have moved from God's requirement for such sins. Instead, many of these sins are seen as a normal part of human behaviour & not subject to any laws. As far as I know, only Islam pursues these actively. And so over time, society has been conditioned to accept such behaviours & sins as acceptable. So what I'm saying here, is that in a society as we are in now, it would be very difficult to promote God's requirements when even the acceptance of a God in Heaven or His moral code for us is both unknown & unacceptable. If someone enquires of this, then the Word & your explanation of it can only be shared.

In Proverbs chapter 4 gives some lovely wisdom for us to consider & pursue. And from verses 20 onwards, special attention is given to our senses & how we use them & respond to them. References to the ears, eyes, heart, mouth & feet are specifically mentioned.

So in verse 26, "ponder" the path of thy feet means that we are to give due consideration & forethought before we take our steps in life. So the idea is of using wisdom to anticipate what's ahead & what ramifications our decision to move in that direction will make (whether to us or others). And certainly, if "evil" or hurt/injury is anticipated, then in our 'pondering' we will wisely avoid it & take a different path. Or conversely, if the path we take is understood as being the correct one, we should stick to it & not detour to the "left or right".

Brethren in Christ Jesus, I have not read out of the Apocrypha for over twenty years, but I am remembering now that Judas Maccabee and his brothers were fighting against Roman rule when the Romans entered the Temple and desecrated it. The act (I think I remember correctly) was referred to as an abomination of desolation and the candlestick was put out.

But God in his wisdom, I believe, re-lit that candlestick as a testimony and light and witness of his new covenant just inside the veil. The light of the Gospel and the veil torn from top to bottom is the hope of all whom will enter in.

Greetings Karen and S Spencer. Some thoughts. Wondering if Isaiah Chapter 54 comes into play in these questions regarding chapter 56. Seems like in this chapter there is a church in the wilderness that is barren and ignored. God seems to promise her an inheritance in the Gentiles. God loves her and says to her that he is her Maker and her husband and his name is "thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called" verse 5. Verse 10 speaks of the "covenant of my peace" that is will not be removed because the Lord will have mercy on this church.

So questions arise: Where does Israel come into play as the married wife? Was she put away? The covenant of my peace, is it not for born again believers that become the children of the church? The children of the old covenant because of the hardness of their hearts would not enter in and under His wings. The entrance to this new covenant for all, because all children are loved is the same for all; repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

My comment is that it is true, women rule over them, I am a woman, women bring chaos, they should not rule, even in the workplace, they cause chaos, I will not work under a woman, they bring chaos. The bible is right, it's true, I will turn down a job if a woman is leading, and many times if I'm working beside her chaos.

Where in the book of Revelation do you find the "raptured saints" mentioned ? No where does Revelation specify the rapturing of the saints.
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply on Isaiah 56 - 5 years ago
Karen, may the SPIRIT grace you with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

The BIG QUESTION? If you don't accept Christ in your physical life time are you cut off forever? Or go to hell?

    Most BELIEVE in this assumption.

If the scriptures are studied as a whole and verses are not picked and apply in direct opposition to other verses we see a different truth than the above.

The scriptures assert that THE WORKS OF GOD are divided into different ages or generations.

So what's taking place in the age we are presently living in.

Scripture says that God through Christ is CHOOSING a few to rule and judge in HIS KINGDOM and they with HIM will bring all creation INTO CHRIST.

Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensations of the fullness of TIMES he might gather together in one ALL THINGS in CHRIST........

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature WAITETH for the manifestation of THE SONS OF GOD.

Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself ALSO SHALL BE DELIVERED (by Christ and his elect).......

Romans 11:30-31 For as ye in times past HAVE NOT BELIEVED GOD, yet have obtained mercy through THEIR UNBELIEF:

(vs 31) Even so have these also NOT NOW believed, that through YOUR MERCY they also MAY OBTAIN MERCY.

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when ALL THINGS shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, THAT GOD MAY BE ALL IN ALL.

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great; but the labourers (OF GOD'S WORKS) are FEW.....

Matthew 20:16 many are called, FEW are chosen....

Why are they called and not chosen; because they didn't BELIEVE WHAT GOD SAID.

Yes they are saved; but want be a judge in the kingdom.

    Thanks Pa Ba

I think setting and authority is what's in view, Deborah was a prophetess that judged Israel, Judges 4:4.

I do understand this was not the church age, but it was certainly after Adam and Eve sin.

And yes Eve was deceived but Adam sinned also, Romans 5:12 (KJV) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

1 Timothy 2:12 (KJV) But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

The verse you presented here I think is a church setting, Paul is instructing Timothy to set up a Church.

but what about outside of that setting?

Teachers and Preachers is also sheep following chief shepherd.

We're tought humility as Peter was taught when the Lord washed his feet.

    And look at Paul here

1 Corinthians 3:5-7 (KJV) Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

    Another verse you given:

    Titus 2:3-5 (KJV) The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, TEACHERS of good things;

That they may TEACH the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

It's not at all in view of a lesser role in the body of Christ, It's a designed structure.

I think it's an extension of the model shown in Ephesians 5:22-32. a husband and wife modeling Christ and the Church.

I hope that helps. God bless

I'm sorry Victor, I can't answer your question. I've tried to research it, but I'm not even able to learn who were the leaders of those tribes (apart from their original name-sakes). All we know, as stated earlier, that the east part of the Jordan was apparently very fertile & well grassed, so it appears that Reuben, Gad & the half-tribe of Manasseh were more inclined to rear cattle & sheep. So maybe the division of Manasseh was dependent on those who pursued this occupation, rather than of a specific sub-family tree within Manasseh that decided to stay there.
