The response to the question: why is my soul disquiet within me, as for me wasn't forthcoming because I believe in soul searching. This scripture encourages christian believers to hope in God and never lose Faith

How can a woman encourage others to move forward as Deborah when men are to lead? The New Testament encourages women to be led by their husbands and to stay quiet.

What foundation can we go back to as brother's in Christ? Can we justify our relationship to this foundation only by scripture or is there other evidence? What is accountability? Does the Holy Ghost remind us of our foundation and what it cost? Did we sell everything to know the foundation? Do we remain on the foundation or is there temptation to wander off? Can we/you teach the Gospel or reprove for the Gospel's sake if we are not on the foundation? Who is our brother, who is our sister? On the true foundation do we remain teachable? God leads to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, do we know Him?

    morning meditation.

I believe that your anger against false teachers is justified. If we're not angry about falsehood & treachery we might well be seen as being in agreement with them or at least as fence-sitters about the things of God.

But how we express that anger is important. To become violent, abusive or hateful, would not be a Christlike response. Rather, acts of correction, intelligent calm debate, & prayer for the Lord to deal with them, should be what we resort to. That would be the strongest testimony against those who take away from the purity of God's Word.

This is an interesting question, because the answer is that God has always existed, but that answer doesn't seem satisfactory to atheists. However atheists have the same question in their own religion, because they believe the universe created itself. If this were true, who then created the universe?

  • Chris - In Reply on Proverbs 7 - 5 years ago
Rick, rather than analyse the two scenarios you gave, we could look at the human emotions & responses that we give to external influences. We often categorize such emotions as being good or evil; that we should cleave to the one & avoid the other. But is that the correct way to consider them?

Often such emotions & resulting responses are not necessarily bad or evil in themselves: they're dependent on the reason for it & the manner in which it is given. Even Love: we often see that as a good emotion to have & the highest form of expression to another. But Love could also be carnal & not for the other's benefit but maybe because of self-centredness. Or, Honesty: 'honesty is the best policy' is the adage, but one wouldn't share all the good & bad of a person when an enquiry is made - one could then be accused of being judgemental or biased. Obedience: a good trait, but should we then obey the Devil or one who's leading us into error?

You mentioned Anger. Anger is also one that can be good or bad. We have to ask: 'for what reason are we found with anger in our hearts?' Are we angry because our sins/weaknesses have been exposed or are we angry because God's Name is defamed or someone has been treated badly or unfairly? And then comes Vengeance (as you asked): this is one emotion/action that falls into the 'bad' category. Vengeance can never be good as it requires one to commit a wrong to try & correct a (supposed) wrong. "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." Romans 12:19. This is one emotion/action that we have to withdraw from as only God can deal properly with the perpetrator of the wrong.

So David's emotion of Obedience & Anger would be justified, if his only desire was obedience to God & having the same emotion as God had towards idolators or the enemy. And Jesus' venting of Love or Anger too, can be seen for His Love for the Father, being in one Mind with Him, & angered at the abuse of the Temple of worship & prayer - yet He loved the people.

    two questions:

    1. Genesis 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden,

does this mean tree of life and tree of the knowledge of good and evil are the same?

    2. Genesis 3:5 and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

    how to understand "gods" here?
  • Mark on Job 13 - 5 years ago
Yes , I get angry at the false teachers and those that twist the word of god , is my anger toward those type of teachers justified . We're talking about the souls of men and eternal consequences whenever people are lead astray by the heretics .

    Hi brother Carleton,

It humbles me, and gives me joy, that you would like to hear a bit about my life changing experience with the Lord. As we are all Blessed with our Testimonies in how the Lord came in our lives. I enjoyed hearing a little about how you came to the Lord as you replied with some info to someone. As now nothing really matters to me more than God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

Here is a post to my Testimony on this page. Link

Please do not take offense to the thing that led me to the Lord as I know it can cause division in the Body of Christ and I don't want that. As I stated it is not really that important to us who believe and are already with the Lord. We should all focus on Him and His Will. Amen.

    God Bless.

Has it been 2 hours yet? Greetings!

"Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God" Psalms 90:2 This verse shows us that God has no beginning nor ending.

The fact that souls continually reach out to God with a desire to be in harmony with its maker is also a wonder. Psalms 42:1-2 says "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? There seems to be in mankind an awareness of a greater power than is found in humanity or even our very selves. The soul must be set free in this awareness by the knowledge of the True God or it may find itself lost in idolatry.

Exodus 3:4 is where Moses wanted to know the name of God and God answered him saying, "I Am That I Am". God's existence is in Himself.

    For our meditation.

    :)

  • S Spencer - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 5 years ago
Isaiah 40:28 (KJV) Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that THE EVERLASTING GOD, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Isaiah 43:13 (KJV) Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

Psalms 90:2 (KJV) Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Sometimes it helps to use the word SEARCH box. Search wrath, anger, backbiting. You get the whole panorama on the word and it's use in a sentence.

    Romans 13:4

For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

    Romans

Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

    2 Corinthians 12:20

For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

    Galatians 5:20

Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

    Ephesians 2:3

Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

    Ephesians 4:26

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

    Ephesians 4:31

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

There's a way to see all versions at a glance: Google a scripture (chapter:verse) and hit search. Google will display that verse in all major versions of the Bible.

Teenagers might enjoy the NIV or New King James Bible.

The Living Bible is paraphrased so it's more like reading a story.

Most serious students of the Bible prefer the King James Version because it has less diversion from the original languages.

For studying try a KJV Reference Bible. I prefer those that have the reference notes in center of each page columns.

This website has a super fast SEARCH BOX. Say like you want to look up all verses in the Bible about "CAUGHT UP IN THE CLOUDS", or as others say Rapture, the search engine will fetch all of those verses. You can pare down the list by clicking Old Testament or just the New Testament.

You can sort the verses in Bible order

If you want to read Commentary on your verse, touch or click the verse; it will highlight yellow. Scroll down till you see your Commentary.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Raymond, I'm not sure who you're referring to by 'we', but I can assure you I'm not worshipping anyone other than God Exodus 20:3. Jesus is the only way to the Father as it says in John 14:6. Anyone who says otherwise is already described in the Bible, like in Matthew 7:15, Matthew 24:24. God bless.

    Hi Brother Dan,

Just to give a reply as brother Adam already expanded much about this subject. As I stated first that I can only speak for myself on this matter. Although I will never tell anyone I think they should get this "shot". Even as you gave the list of all those other sicknesses, which don't scare me either, this is totally different. From hearing numerous learned people in the medical field about this "vaccine". The main thing I don't like is how it is to change our DNA. That is bad. Also that they have actually been testing this "vaccine" in labs since the early 2000's. Though it has never made it past animal testing due to side effects and death. They didn't just come up with it, make it, in a couple months.

The only way it was past to be used, on people, was from some "emergency bill" or something. As I myself know people who have taken the "vaccine". It is sad to say but you can never go back after you take this shot. As again it changes your DNA as I'm not able to get too detailed about that but the information is out there. They even say it.

I suffered with epilepsy "seizures" for 17 years of my life. No doctor could ever find anything wrong with all the tests done. No medication, for 17 years, ever subsided me from having them. Even praying many times in tears, through the years, to God that He would heal me from this. Though when I gave my life to the Lord and prayed to Jesus Christ if He would heal me. It was in only a couple days He showed me he was healing me. As now I don't take any medication any more and having seizures is in the past. More than a dream come true. A prayer heard and the hand of the Lord healed me. Something no doctor can do. Praise the Lord!!

Please take this post from my heart brother Dan. As I believe we should trust, have faith, in the Lord over any man. If someone wants to get the "vaccine" I will not condemn them. Though if my opinion is asked for I will speak in truth.

    God Bless you my brother.
