Since Jesus' birth as the Son of God wasn't the result of the procreation of Joseph & Mary but of Divine Seed, His birth had to be exceptional, both in terms of his dual Being as Human & Divine, but also in His relationship to His 'parents & siblings'. His four brothers & sisters (not told their number), could only ever be Jesus' 'half' brothers/sisters as they came into the world from the union of their parents, unlike Jesus coming from God, His Father, the Producer of that Holy Seed.
The questions then arise: did Jesus also have similar DNA (or, even genetic markers) as the other siblings or His Mother, or did Jesus' physical appearance have similarities to the others? Depending on where your understanding on this is (i.e. if Jesus' birth was wholly Divine with Mary only contributing to His human nurture, sustenance & delivery of the Babe from the womb; or, if Jesus' birth was half Divine & half human thereby giving Him both Sonship to God & man), you might have your answer. My belief is that Jesus' was wholly Divine for the simple reason that if He wasn't, then the sin nature (of Mary) would have been passed onto Him: & I don't understand that from Scripture. Others, might understand this differently.
Hi, I am working on Growth Journals and Lesson 5 addresses Discovering the Attributes of God. I am stuck on a question regarding Rev. 22:17. Specifically, why does God give us a choice, since He is soverign (rules over everything)?
Parallel Verses
King James Version
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
God's people will suffer now as Jesus did for man's sins, that had been in this world always. But has not turned God into action against us till now. He created nothing but beauty for his children. He Let His only begotten Son suffer for our Sins. But mankind destroyed it all. So now- His wrath will come down as never before. Get down every morning and evening Thanking The Lord for another day.
Open His warnings in our Bible.
Be ready to meet your Maker. Stay Strong in the Lord as you begin to Fight for His Rights all you that Believe. Stay Strong!!!
The honor and respect deserved, is conditional upon those leaders meeting the qualifications of "For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil." Too many leaders, regardless of whether in the church or government, embrace evil. And while the office they hold by the power of men deserves respect, all respect deserved and power over believers is dependent on what their character shows us. God defines for us those he has empowered to rule our affairs. Believers are not to yield to evil, but instead, resist even unto death of the body.

However, like other new vaccines, only time will reveal its effectiveness, its durability, & any side effects. If you, or your family, by some chance get the Covid, then taking the vaccine & other medical help would be the prudent thing to do. Yet in this, as all things, we have to trust God for His protection, help & our recovery. Though nothing beats common sense & taking the necessary precautions when near others - the virus won't chase you or target you - one needs to go to it. Stay strong - trust the Lord.
GOD is not predictable. If you were to guess who HE will preserve in the whole of Jericho, would you even remember Rahab?
And, if the family of Rahab had been told that it is the one that has been marked as the black sheep of the family that GOD will use to save them, wouldn't they have laughed the messenger to scorn?
GOD is not predictable. So, learn not to judge anything and anyone before their time.
When Jesus spoke those words in Mark 16:16, He spoke of the future salvation experience of those who come to Him via the Cross. If we want to associate water baptism as a requirement for salvation, two problems occur:
1. any act, even baptism, cannot contribute to a salvation by faith, or else salvation doesn't come through faith alone but with a fusion of both. So the person who says he believes & is then told that he has to be baptised to be saved, is immediately made to believe that an extra requirement is necessary to effect salvation. Then the question: what else am I required to do? Am I truly a Christian - supposing I've neglected to do something else? Jesus was simply stating that salvation requires belief (faith) only - baptism then as a natural immediate response. "But he that does not believe is damned": could we have a person who has been baptised & yet not truly 'believing'? Sure can. I know of a few, baptised, evidently spoke in 'tongues', etc. & now having rejected the Lord - no saving faith - no salvation, in spite of baptism & more.
2. what happens when one cannot be baptized: whether due to old age, serious illness, insufficient time between saving faith & baptism (i.e death has occurred), teaching of the Church or even a great passing of time from first believing. If baptism as well is necessary for salvation, then none of the above would have any hope of forgiveness & eternal life and could there be many living full victorious Christian lives who have never been baptised & are actually deceived & lost?
