The Genesis 6 debate is a good example of people rejecting Scriptural TRUTH in favor of their own bias. "It's impossible for angels to have sex with women", they say. Why is it impossible? Because it goes against their innate BIAS, but not from ANY SCRIPTURAL reasoning. OK- here are SCRIPTURAL reasons why Genesis 6 refers to ANGELS co-habiting with WOMEN: (1. The phrase "Sons of God" found in Genesis 6:2,4 is used in ONLY three other places in the Old Testament: ALL are found in the Book of Job ( Job 1:6, 2:1, 38:7). In EACH of those 3 passages, the term "Sons of God" refers to ANGELS, not MEN. If you have a problem with that statement, take it up with the Author of the Book. I didn't write it, I'm only reporting it. (2. Mankind SONSHIP with God was SEVERED with the Fall of man in the Garden of Eden. Adam was a son of God; Adam and Eve spiritually DIED when they disobeyed God , and ate of the forbidden fruit. ALL of Adam's offspring, until Christ, the 2nd Adam, came were born spiritually DEAD. They were sons of Adam, made in Adam's image, not God's children. The Sonship relationship between God and man was re-established ONLY when Christ died on the Cross, and paid Adam's SIN DEBT that separated man from God. That was why Christ could say to His disciples, after His Resurrection, "I go to MY Father AND YOUR FATHER; to My God and YOUR GOD." There are many more points and Scriptures I could bring out to support the argument, but the two (2) points brought out (above) DEMOLISH the argument "the sons of Seth were the SONS OF GOD."

Rather, than repeat what I wrote earlier, I would add here: that the early Church may have picked the First Day of the Week as the day to come together to worship the Lord in remembrance of their Saviour's resurrection on that day, as well as a show of further segregation from the Jewish Law. Of course, the Sabbath was being adhered to by the Jews, & indeed by Paul in his ministry to them (as in Acts 17:2). But it appears that believers no longer observed the Sabbath for worship (maybe it was still a day of rest though), but they came together on the first day of the week ( Acts 20:7), now being referred to as the Lord's Day ( Revelation 1:10).

In ministry in Pakistan, Friday is the Muslim's rest day & for a more dedicated worship & preaching in the mosque. As Christians, we had to fall in line with this day & so our corporate worship time in a Church Fellowship fell on a Friday. Some Churches still held a Sunday service, though that was not well attended, as most were required to work. So, any day that is selected can be used as a corporate day of worship, seeing that for the Christian, every day is alike to come before the Lord; but as ordered by the Lord, one day in the week still needs to be set aside as rest, for the health & recuperation of the mind & body. So I find it strange that an insistence for a Christian having to observe a Saturday Sabbath as necessary, as the Jews do, when that is not only meaningless for us but also demonstrates one placing himself back under the Law. I also wonder how well that believer observes the Sabbath: does he refrain from buying, or working in the garden, or dealing with an urgent repair job at home?

To your other question on observing the correct day of rest from the days of Adam & Eve, I wrote about this earlier.

In response to the "forehead or hand" ; I don't believe this is literally our foreheads or hands, but rather what we rationalize, give an ear to or believe (forehead) and what are the works of our "hands".

We will have to trust that God will provide for us even when everything will be taken away from us if we don't follow what the world system has ordered us to do.

If we all believe this vaccine is changing DNA and is being forced on us or we cannot keep our jobs, we cannot buy or sell without it, and we walk away from this, then our foreheads and hands will be doing the work of God the Father.

No, Cain was the first child of Adam & Eve, even as Genesis 4:1 declares. I realize that there's false teaching around to indicate otherwise, but that just comes from one's overactive imagination.

Mark 8:38, "Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."

Those words of Jesus certainly mean, as you suggest, to deny Christ. But it could also mean that, in the midst of a Christ-rejecting people, we recoil from the Truth, whether we choose to keep quiet or even speak words that are so diluted so as to not offend anyone. We live in a World where we're being told that it's not right to offend anyone's person or beliefs. And this is correct, but when we then altogether refuse to speak up (in love & concern) for what is right & ordained in God's Word, then there is little difference to the one who is outwardly a denier of Christ in the midst of testing or persecution.

Not all Christians can be of the calibre of standing & preaching the Gospel to a crowd, but then again, most would rather keep their 'faith' private, sometimes so private that another person hardly notices that any difference. I'm retired now, but whenever I applied for a job earlier & the opportunity was there, I made sure that I stated that I was a Christian & adhered to biblical values & that my work ethic is based on my faith. Not that my position in Christ should have made any difference to the prospective employer, but I believed that the foundation was laid from the beginning, so any other action or event subsequent to it, could be seen as a result of my faith which was real & active. Of course, I too was under their scrutiny to live the Christian life before them. It's always a good policy to let others know of your new life in Christ, even in passing, for no other reason that to give you the incentive & boldness to live your life out, without reservation, before men.

There's nothing in the narrative ( Mark 4:36-41) to suggest that Satan had anything to do with the storm. I feel that it was just a normal weather phenomenon as apparently was quite common at the Sea of Galilee. It could be quite calm & in the next moment a violent storm could build up. This was partly due to its location where the wind comes over the mountains in the East & drops suddenly & violently towards the Sea. However, Jesus always took the daily experiences of the people to teach them, not about nature, but of the deeper spiritual life & God's operation over mankind.

Good day .i am a welder by trade but i do read the Bible and another Scriptural book.the great contovercy ..from at the biggining of creation Our Creator set aside a very specific day .the 7th day .called the Sabbath.i do admire your commitment and and your dilegence .i have quite a few verses in the Bible stating the importance of the 7th day Sabbath.could you please enlighten me as to why sunday is the majority of Christians day of worship.please do not misunderstand me i just need clarity. Another question comes to mind which day of worship was first instituted for all mankind since Adam and Eve were created.was it the 7th day or the 1st day of the week and if so why do the Majority of Christian worship on the Sunday.as i have said i am simply seeking clarity. I must commend you for ending your prayer in the Name of Jesus. As you well know, Jesus is the Name of the Savior. Colossians 3:17 says"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." So by praying in the Name of Jesus, you are praying to God. Salvation came only by Jesus ( Acts 4:12; Matthew 1:21; John 17:6; Luke 3:31; John 1:14) So when you pray in the name of Jesus, you are praying to God. All of the fullness of God is in Jesus( Colossians 1:19). We are saved through Jesus--He died on the Cross and provided the means of escape for the whole world. The demons tremble at the name of Jesus( James 2:19) Again, I commend you for praying in Jesus' Name and ending your prayer in Jesus' Name. There is no other name given to us whereby we must be saved. Jesus even said that repentance and remission of sins would be preached in His name ( Luke 24:47). It is through His name that we are baptized ( Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38; Acts 3: 19) I am so grateful to find believers who still hold to the Bible. The preparation of the soil for the seed was not gentle drops of kindness, but instead the turmoil of turning by the plow. In plain words, God only, prepares souls for the word/seed to flourish, not a plan by other people, saved or otherwise. The plowing is sometimes where the shallows are revealed, and also where nearby everpresent thorns take root. The over abundance of seed/word is evident and no "good ground" is missed. Despite the fowls, enough seed is fruitful, and thus harvested.

I agree, we often take on board thoughts & words that we give little heed to, & this results in a repetition that we don't know the reason for. I understand that when we approach God with our needs & requests, we know that He does hear us as we ask in His Will & in faith. But we also know that it is only because of His Son Jesus Christ that we even dare to approach Him & come boldly before the Throne & that any request we can make, can only be because of our relationship to Him & the authority we have through Him.

Now, I don't believe for a moment that if a person fails to end his prayer with "In Jesus' Name", has a prayer destined for failure to reach Heaven. Often in a time of praise to God (which I believe ought to take the majority of time spent in His Presence, even as the angels do who surround His Throne), we don't cease our praise time with that ending. But I think, that to utter those final words is a confirmation to our own hearts that we have asked for things & approached God's Throne on no better authority than His blessed Son. As well, we say "Amen" (or, 'so be it' or 'let it be so'), as our final 'word' to God, that in faith we believe that we "have the petitions that we desired of Him" ( 1 John 5:15).

I'm unsure that I understand your question. If you mean, a. "does God forgive us if we say the same prayer of repentance", or b. "does God accept us if we sin in the same way again & again", then these are my thoughts:

a. if we pray in earnestness (i.e. a genuine, heartfelt prayer) seeking God's forgiveness over a sin we've committed, then He does forgive us. Even if we say the same words, if they are from our heart & we mean what we say, then God forgives us based on what Jesus Christ has done for us on the Cross. 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

b. God is our Father in Heaven & He wants to forgive us always & help us to defeat any sin that gets a hold on us. If you are truly born again of God's Spirit, then you not only know when you've done wrong, but you have God's Spirit in you to give you strength to withstand that particular sin or any other sin that comes to you. But if you enjoy doing that sin, then you must quickly bring the matter to God to help you hate that sin & take it out of your life. God sees our struggles & He is a patient God Who will help you in your struggle giving you a way to escape. Spend time reading God's Word & in prayer. And when sin comes knocking at your heart's door, look away from it, talk to God about it, put on some Christian music, sing along that music to the Lord - by making your effort against sin, you will find that the Devil will leave you. But if you dwell on sin when it comes & see its enticing ways, then it becomes easier to give in & sin against God.

God sees a truly penitent, struggling heart before Him. He will help you - ALWAYS. Have faith, hold onto God & hate the sin.

This portion of Scripture speaks about a man of God (a prophet, with no name given) who correctly & faithfully declared the Words of God but was also led astray by others, being disobedient to God's clear Command.

This prophet approached King Jeroboam (King of Israel at that time) who was offering worship to an idol. And he proclaimed that the day would come when a king would come (Josiah of Judah) who would one day bring in all these wicked idol-worshipping priests & burn them on this altar. When Jeroboam heard this, he was furious as he was a 'bad' king given to idolatry & so instructed that this prophet be secured. By this wicked command, the king's hand withered by an Act of God. But the prophet sought healing from God for the king.

The king wanted to feed him & reward the prophet for doing this on his behalf, but as instructed by God, the prophet was to proceed with his travel & not turn back. But another (old) prophet heard of the work of this unnamed prophet & invited him to return back & dine with him & his sons. This sounded like a time of good fellowship as two prophets got together & could share their exploits & old stories. So he turned back - BUT that was in clear disobedience to the Lord's command not to do so. So the 'old' prophet received a Word from God that because of the other prophet's disobedience, that prophet would die an unnatural death as punishment. As it happened, on the way out, a lion met him & killed him.

That's the story in a nutshell but the message is clear: that when we wilfully disobey the Lord, we must expect discipline or suffering. Fortunately for the Christian, the Blood of Christ avails for us; we can ask God for forgiveness & He does forgive because we are His children & because of what Christ's death accomplished on our behalf. But we should always take care as sin (as that lion) lies at our door.

I don't believe that the Apostle Paul did wrong. The word that he used is 'aphron' in Greek, which means 'foolish, without reason, understanding or inconsiderate'. His use of the word denotes that the person did not understand the fact that as a seed is sown in the ground is in a 'dead, lifeless state', but when it germinates, it brings forth a plant peculiar to that seed. So too, at the resurrection of the dead: it is buried in a corrupt decaying state but raised in a new God-appointed state.

Then in Matthew 5:22, Jesus says, "That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgement: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire." Here the word for 'fool' is 'moros' in Greek, from which we get the word 'moron', stupid, a fool. A person who says this to another (obviously said in anger & hatred), is likened to a murderer, who may not have murdered physically but done so in his heart. This person stands judged for it just as if he murdered physically. So you can see how Jesus brought the people, especially His disciples, the fuller, God intended meaning of the Law. The Law said, "Thou shalt not kill", but Israel failed to understand that that command could be broken by an act of the mind & probably the mouth.

To believe that the Rapture is false, would mean disregarding or reinterpreting a lot of Scripture that points to such an event. And those Scriptures don't fit nicely into a belief that Jesus is coming to rule in Jerusalem without something occurring first to both the living & dead believers. The differing viewpoints that arise as to when the Rapture occurs in connection with the Great Tribulation, causes the variation of interpretations of the Scriptures.

I have a question regarding the Name of Jesus, as in Acts 4:12, Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other Name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

Obviously, there is power in the Name of Jesus. When I pray I generally end with, "...in Jesus Name, but I don't know why. I would appreciate comments from the community about this very important topic. Thank you.
