I was enjoying this chapter tonight and was blessed .

Our God is my defence and rock of my refuge.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop NOT come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved.

Some believe that while Jesus' body was in the tomb, His spirit was in hell. Scripture does not support that position when it is taken in context and we look at the meaning of the word "hell." In the Old Testament, the place of the dead or the place of departed souls was called "Sheol." It was to this place that all souls of the dead went to await resurrection.

In the New Testament, we find the story of Lazarus and the rich man who both died and went to Hades ( Luke 16:19-31). The King James translates the Greek word "hades" as hell but most other translations use the Greek word. Hades had two separated parts. Those who died in faith believing in God's promise waited for the resurrection in Abraham's Bosom. Those who died spiritually separated from God wait in torment for the resurrection unto death, or eternal separation from God. The rich man was on the torment side and Lazarus was in Abraham's Bosom, which was called "paradise" by the LORD Jesus Christ when He addressed the thief who found faith the day Jesus was crucified ( Luke 23:42-43)

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment" ( 2 Peter 2:4). The word translated "hell" here is not the Greek word "hades" but is the Greek word "tartarus" meaning abyss or the lowest regions. This could very well be the "gulf" that was fixed between the place of torment and Abraham's Bosom ( Luke 16:26).

Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fulfill all things Eph 4:8-10. Leading captivity captive seems to refer to Jesus taking all those that waited in Paradise to heaven to be with Him. The descending into the "lower parts" then refers to Jesus mission of declaring victory

Where did the 24 elders come from? Those that were spoken of in the book of Revelaton?Were they from the earth?

A truly humbling truth has come to my attention via Spirit. All organized religions are creations of man and are in deep spiritual darkness. Proof?

Spirit told me to read and meditate on Revelation 12:9 where John records Satan has deceived the whole world. Absorbing this truth requires great humility because most of us have some pre-conceived ideas that we call 'knowledge'. However, this passage should give all of us pause.

Satan is the ruler of this world and has been from the beginning following the Fall of Adam and Eve.

But now the other question arises: How long will The Most High allow the world to dwell in spiritual darkness?

Daniel 12:4 supplies the answer: Until the time of the end.

Most of us believe we are living right now 'in the time of the end'. If so, we must also recognize that new insights and revelations, such as this one, will become common place now. Why? Because 'the book' is now open to those who have been 'born again' with the Holy Spirit of The Most High.

The Rapture

The word "Rapture" does not appear in the Bible but is used by Christians to describe an end time event. Rapture comes from the Latin word raptus which means "seize," "snatch" or "take away." It refers to those who obey and follow Jesus being taken up to meet Christ in the air.

This is the first rapture. The time when all the saints through out history will rise to receive new eternal bodies combined with their souls.

For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel's call and with the sound of God's trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord forever ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

The exact details of the rapture remain a mystery; however, we know that we will be physically resurrected at the Rapture ( John 5:29; Acts 24:15; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Your comments are not surprising to me or concern me . Jesus is Lord ! Born of God in the flesh died , rose again , ascended to heaven coming in glory . Not a fake rapture .

Let me run this by you all. Did you know that scripture, and it's meanings

are meaningless in some cases.Let me explain.

I was a missionaries kid. My parents took me to Papua New Guinea in 1963.

My father preached the gospel to the darkest of the dark hearts.

I witnessed a great moving of our lord

and the heathens of darkness came to the light of our lord. They were excited and wanted more of this lord.

Now, they did not have any books, or anything to guide them. They never heard of a Bible. They were saved from their sins by hearing my father preach the gospel to them.

They would shout and cry. They were filled with the spirit of our lord. And then they proceeded to learn about the Bible.

You don't comment. You allege, accuse, and confuse baby Christians. You know what you're doing; that's the tragedy.

I don't see the love of Jesus Christ in you.

Comment by Allen on Genesis 9:24 concerning Noah and the curse on Canaan is the first and only comment I have ever seen of MANY other attempts to explain this verse, which seems correct to me. I ALWAYS had assumed that Noah's YOUNGER SON was meaning the same thing as YOUNGER GRANDSON since that is who he cursed, Canaan, the younger of Ham's four sons. Also, if Noah would have been talking about Ham it would have simply read SON instead of "younger son" which also would not fit well due to the fact that Ham was the middle son, NOT the younger son. And finally, we learn that it was AFTER all the covering up had occurred that Noah awoke, so he did not even know that Ham had done anything wrong. It never says anywhere that Ham DID anything wrong. He could have glanced and then immediately turned away and went to tell his brothers to figure out what to do and the other two brothers had a good idea. No harm. BUT... when Noah awoke, he KNEW what had been done to him. That is key. Surely, we can assume that if he knew WHAT had been done to him, then by the assignment of the curse, he also seemed to know WHO did that to him... whatever it was. I also liked the comparison Allen made that JESUS is called the son of David, when actually he was the grandson of David. Language was a bit different back then. And any stories about the "sin of Ham" are a lazy reader's myth. So when Noah woke up, he knew what had happened and assigned the punishment to the guilty one, Canaan... period.

Here is the remedy for not falling away of which we are in .

Because sin abounds , it will get more difficult and many will fall away , just prior to the appearance of the man of sin Antichrist. False religions will only compound the problem , because It's dishonorable to God , you must leave sinful religion of any kind . Of suffer with it .

Does anyone know where the Pretrib Rapture is in the Bible ?

I can not find it , I only find the 1st resurrection and the coming of Christ our hope on the last day . As Jesus said .

Cathy (& Karcelia) you're both so right. When the foundation is weak & not in prepared soil, the building will crack & collapse.

Most without the love of God in their hearts, have as their foundation the welfare & happiness of the mother rather than the embryo or unborn child. Why? The embryo is only that, an embryo - even though there may be life there, it is still something less than human, they say. The welfare of the mother is more important as her usefulness is greater to her family & society.

Those who love the Lord & know His Will, regard every human life in every stage of its development, as special & precious & to destroy that life is murder & so the destroyer stands before the God Who gave life & a life's Plan to that child. In our quest to enjoy life in both intimate & non-intimate environments, we pay little heed to the outcomes of our thoughts & actions. And so the verse seems most applicable: "every man did that which was right in his own eyes" ( Judges 17:6). It was no longer what God required of them & us but what we deem as correct & warranted based on our desires - and as you said, this folly is increasing in greater measure in the world around us.

To abort a child prior to 20-22 weeks as acceptable, is still murder. Will any government propose that it should be when both sperm & ovum unite is when life is created? Unfortunately, most don't accept that life commences before that point, even though it is clearly seen in the laboratory. Is the embryo then likened to an ant which we could step on & extinguish, giving it little further thought? How will mankind stand before God in that day? What excuse will he give or can he give? God's Righteousness will blow open the inherent wickedness deep within his heart & manifest all that has been covered over for the sake of happiness & expediency.

That's a fair comment you made, Veronica. I don't believe that Abram got away lightly over this deception as all sin is abominable to the Lord. Yet, we aren't told anymore about this matter apart from God's dealing with Pharaoh by sending plagues on him & his household. Rather this portion emphasizes God's action against Pharaoh for taking another woman, & especially, though not mentioned, one from a holy (a set apart) lineage. Maybe Pharaoh was ignorant over this & our ignorance over a possible objection by Abram & Sarai to her being taken, but his act of acquiring was sufficient to bring on God's displeasure.

So it's difficult to give a clear opinion based on what is revealed to us. What took place before Pharaoh & God's Actions as a result of the wrongs by both Abram & Pharaoh, are things we're not privy to & best left in the 'Unknown Tray'.

A good question, many would struggle with it and find themselves in the chicken or the egg situation. The reality God was there always, so the question of 'first' wouldn't be right. God, Jesus the Son, and Holy spirit are all in one. They cannot be separated from each other. There are many verses in the bible say the same. Also, there are only 6 days of creation according to the bible. And no where is it mentioned that Jesus was created!!

God the Father, Jesus the Son and Holy spirit all are outside the realm of time and space. As such it is difficult for many to understand how can something be forever without being created but that is the truth.

They all were present even before the creation.

Other scripture as a fellow brother suggested, was John 1.1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Also in John 1.14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
