Comment by Mishael: In the Bible circumcision was the sign of being in covenant with God. In the New Testament Paul had to teach that circumcision was now in the heart. (Stoned many times for that). A new and better Covenant was secured by Jesus on the Cross; ratified by His own blood.

NOTE: Women are to be circumcised in the heart too. Salvation is a decision of the heart. Coming to Christ for Salvation, circumcises your heart and you are in covenant with God. Blameless.

OLD TESTAMENT

Genesis 17:10

This is my COVENANT which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the COVENANT betwixt me and you.

After reading Chapter 12 Hebrews, I'm more deeply convicted of my sin. I've been married for 35 years, 20 years without affection or sexual relations with my Husband. Many unfortunate types of manipulations and abuses, etc. And I stayed cause I wanted to triumph over this, honor my marriage, and God hates divorce. A few years passed, and I sought the Lord more diligently, more time, more prayer etc. The voice of the Holy Spirit was strong, although, my past Pastor didn't trust or believe when I reported a Jezzabel in the church and a witch oppressing prayers at that church.

Since then, I've sinned grievously and I can't hear the Holy Spirit anymore. The devil know us quite thoroughly, and there was only one person I would have been tempted with. OF course hindsight is 20/20. Good boundaries and no problems with this for my entire marriage. A happenstance of an old friend, we started speaking, and I began a relationship with him emotionally and physically. Now, I love him and want to be with this person. My character was not of someone that would do this, never would have thought I would ever do this. But here I am and sorrowful I've sinned against my Holy Heavenly Father.

I'm frightened that I may have given my Heavenly Home birthright away, and I'm destined for hell. Father God please No. Esau was sorrowful too. He grieved as I have, and I want to hear the Holy Spirit again. This chapter convicts me more- is there no hope for my salvation now? Is it lost forever? How do I know if I have fallen permanently from the Grace of God? Hell :'(

This man was divorced, but I am not. I have not had relations with my Husband for many years. Do I divorce my Husband and marry my Friend. (act of my sin, is like marriage)?

I've prayed to God for help, and have spoken of regret and help to know what to do. The last 6 weeks, my friend & home have scabies and I caught them. :'( Can I make this right by marrying my new love? Are the pests warnings and of what?

Admittedly it is hard to understand many things in Scripture, but it is not because Scripture is wrong; it is because mankind is made up of weak and imperfect people, unable to scarcely grasp the overwhelming perfection and holiness of God.

We have become so used to sin that we can't imagine anyone being absolutely perfect. But God is! Because God is holy, He never does wrong-ever.

God's holiness is righteous and pure. The Bible says, "Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing" ( Habakkuk 1:13). Certainly, God notices evil and condemns it. The passage is clarifying that He will NOT look upon evil and tolerate it. He will indeed judge sin, and doing evil is sin.

The Bible says that all have sinned and fall short of God's glory ( Romans 3:23). We stand guilty and condemned before Him, worthy only of His judgment and condemnation.

Apart from Christ and His work on the cross, we have no hope of Heaven, because even one sin contaminates us and makes us unfit to come into God's presence. We must never take the holiness and judgment of God lightly, for it is the very essence of His character.

But God is also the God of love ( 1 John 4:8). This makes all the difference. Behind every dealing God has with us is His perfect love. It was love that caused Him to create us, and it was love that caused Him to send His Son to REDEEM US. His love pursues us and draws us to Himself, and His love will someday take those who believe in Him into His presence forever.

God says to us, "I have loved you with an everlasting love" ( Jeremiah 31:3).

A salvation? I see the violence we do to each other, on the free news, and it's makes me feel sick that we are so capable of hurting each other; and not even thinking about it later.

The terror of it, is that the end will not come swiftly like a huge asteroid strike. It's going to happen like birth pains.

The Bible tells us in so many ways that,"God is love." God is also perfect. Perfect love casteth out fear. God casts out fear and will cut the ties that it holds on your heart if you'll but let Him. You've got to keep trusting God no matter how you feel because Faith cannot be summed up into a feeling, Faith will keep trusting even when you can't feel or see God. The teacher is always quiet during the test but, the teacher also doesn't leave the room.

God is not mocked ! A great lesson to those that do !

Hell is full of people that refuse Gods love and persist in sinning . There is no place for them with God , God hates sin more than any of us could image .

Psalm 65.4

Comments about the trinity the Godhead remember in the ARK of the Covenent in the MOST HOLY PLACE was the Father between the 2 Churibim of GLORY thus we see 3 and God wd not share his Glory with the 2 Churibim if they were not God . Abraham dwelt in tents with Issac and Jacob son and granson and thats what Abraham means exaulted FATHER thats y God told Moses that his name was Abraham Issac, and Jacob. The 12 tribes knew that Abraham Issac and Jacob were the 1 singular FATHER of ISRAEL Rememeber they were 3 distinct beings. Without this Abrahamic Trinity there cd not have have been the nation of Israel remember that. Thats y God told Moses that his name was Abraham Issac n Jacob. Thus there is a heavenly trinity that is gonna result in an Israel of God, I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven thus an Israel of God,That which is born of the spirit is Spirit thats the H.G. th Israel of God the multiplcation of very GOD IN US. No Judas is not in Heaven. Did Judas have a relationship with God just because he followed Jesus and hung around Him? This relationship must occur on a Spiritual level to separate a person from the world. Not talking about leaving the world, but worldly things. Judas managed the money for the disciples. He was to give to the poor and buy food for them. This role is not by coincidence. Jesus used this to demonstrate that Judas' ties to this kept him with a worldly vision for Jesus and not understanding his need for a Spiritual relationship with The Father.

Comment: This is the only scripture in the Bible where it says God hated someone.

This is Old Testament. Also, the bloodline of Jesus was traveling through Jacob.

As we read through Matthew we continue to see Jesus point to a separation from the world. All that He speaks of is Spiritual living in a relationship to The Father. This Spiritual living can only be given of The Holy Spirit dwelling within us which cannot happen without a belief in Christ Jesus. Pray therefore The Father strengthen our belief, reliance and forgiveness in Christ Jesus for our wrongdoings & thoughts and that The Father not take away The Holy Spirit from us, but be Merciful. And in The Mercy The Father extends to us, we must extend to our Mother, Father, Brother & Sister. Be at Peace in Christ and secure that The Holy Spirit is dwelling within you to guide, convict and Bless your life in following Christ. For this is the preparation we need to become a perfect bride in total church for Christ Jesus to marry so we too become as One with Him; just as He, The Father and Holy Spirit are ONE.

This is the hazard flare that's being waved to warn you. Is there a little tug on your heart right now? That's Him! He's calling you. Knocking on the door of your heart. Ask him in. He's real. Alive.

Every time you say no; your heart hardens. Till you don't even hear Him calling you anymore. Keep coming back here. We love you. I love you because I know Jesus loves you. He died, so you can live.

Yes, all people of any age have the freewill to do anything they want and do the sickest, most evil, vile sins imagineable. But you can't pursue evil and genuinely follow Jesus and expect to go to heaven, so those who pursue evil will go to hell. People reading the Bible are usually trying to learn about God and follow Jesus try to avoid sin which is different than what you describe. Romans 1:25-27

"The Bible doesn't give us any more details about Theophilus, the recipient of Luke's two 'manuscripts' ( Luke 1:3 & Acts 1:1). There have been speculations about this man, so I'll share here what I've researched about him:

a. he may have been a Jew from Alexandria, Egypt, to which John Wesley also attests.

b. a Roman official; because of the use of "O Theophilus" & "most excellent Theophilus", denoting someone of high rank in the Empire.

c. just an honorary title, since Theophilus (Theophilos) means "friend of God", so Luke wrote generally to all who came under that category. I can't subscribe to this, as it appears to me that Luke was addressing a particular person rather than anyone.

d. Paul's lawyer, since some of his expressions are used in law. Words such as 'eye witnesses, account & infallible proofs' are given in support.

e. the High Priest of the Temple at that time, Theophilus ben Ananus, also brother-in-law to Caiaphas - no doubt a handy connection to have.

So take your pick! Best to leave him just as a name & focus on the important accounts that Luke gives us to learn from."

Julie, I don't think there is any such verse in the Bible. Psalm 127:3 says, "children are an heritage of the LORD". The word in Hebrew can signify a "gift or a possession" from the Lord. Then in 1 Samuel 1:11, Hannah, who was once barren but God enabled her because of her vow to Him, gave her a son whom she called Samuel. She then gave him back to the Lord in accordance with her vow & we know that he was a mighty prophet used by the Lord.

Pastors sometimes refer to this account in the Bible when offering up a child in a Dedication ceremony, as when the child's parents dedicate the little one gifted to them by the Lord, back to Him for His safe-keeping & service. But we know that not only children but all of us have to one day return to the Lord Who made us & give account. So in that sense we all are placed on this Earth for a short time, to enjoy her blessings & the Lord Who made it all for our sake, & then one day we will return to our Maker.

Turning away from sins is healing. He sent his word and healed them.

The Lord's words are spirit and life.
