The "sons of God" that were on earth (called inhabitants in post-Eden scripture) were the Evil Angels that were ejected from Heaven, with Lucifer, by God.

At that time they had bodies. Those bodies died in the FLOOD; and everything else. Without BODIES they became DEMONS. They had to live through animals or sinful humans. Satan is their lord.

We still have demonic activity happening in our modern 2020 world. They look for sinful or unsaved humans.

We can't just hop a plane and evangelize 3rd world countries anymore. Do we pray to God to open doors for it? Radio &Internet ministries need that money because they ARE getting through.

Greetings and Gods blessings to you Elizabeth - So invigorating to find someone that believes God's word as truth and not the idol theories of men that (try as may) discredit his Creation - There as so many that say "OF course I believe in creation and not evolution, yet refuse to as accept FACT described in Genesis and many other Books that totally disprove a spinning ball Earth!

The Earths cosmology is not as simple as flat or round. From what I understand from the study I have been doing over the last five years, from others, far more knowledgeable than I in this subject.

There are many more dimensions, Realms, energy fields and forces way beyond our comprehension that make up this realm we perceive as 3D reality.

Here is what I believe - The Earth is a circle (not a ball) with the ice wall of the Antarctic holding in the great Oceans - Water is always level and can not bend ( it's referred to as Sea level?) - I ask this question also - Why do they call Antarctica as the "Arctic Circle?" This circle we live on has a dome over it (The firmament) with the stars Sun & Moon revolving within this circlet. It's a bit hard to go into great detail, but to simply put it Heaven is described as having corners also - This could mean the circle and the dome are contained in the realm of heaven that is square and has corners - Believe me Elisabeth, I am continually asking for wisdom to understand the Masterpiece of the Almighty- But who can know the mind of Yahweh " But he asks us to to be truthful and search with faith and honesty" - As proverbs says "Knowledge is a principle thing"

A long answer: Angels are always seen in the 'male' context, though we understand that they are in fact gender-less. Some would argue this point because of Gen 6:1-5. They are, like all of us, God's creation. They, along with the other Heavenly host, are spirit beings outfitted for life in Heaven, but humans are spirit beings given a body of flesh outfitted for earthly existence & given a gender for procreation, leadership & companionship.

When Jesus, the Incarnate Son of God, was on Earth, He was as we are, yet a part of the God-head & without sin. When He ascended into Heaven, He sat at the right hand of the Father, in a body prepared for heavenly life. And this is how believers will be in the ascension: our bodies will be like His now, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we SHALL BE LIKE HIM; for we shall see him as he is." ( 1 Jn 3:2).

Jeff, I believe you are referring to verse 7 also, to applying it to teaching children. I think that in any situation within the family, society & the world (both good & bad), children need to understand who God is & His Love for each one of us. And for them to understand this, they need to see its application to what may be going on. And as you know, children can be very observant & take things in quickly. They will see it in the family circle, therefore how clear & unhypocritical our lives need to be, showing them that the parents' love for the Lord is the same intense love they have for their children & this love is manifest in our behaviour & treatment of each other.

When they see or learn the 'bad' things that are happening around them, still the clear command is to "love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might". And that this is not a vague expression towards God but that knowing that men's hearts are inherently evil & God is altogether Good, our children might learn to understand why the world is the way it is, & why God is Who He is. That this Holy & Righteous God will one day save His people & judge the world for their sin. We are cast upon Him & His Mercies each day to experience His Love & Peace in a fresh way. If you're specifically referring to the pandemic & explaining this to kids, then this is one of the many sufferings that come upon us, and apart from its present severity & loss of life, it ought to make us cling more heavily upon the Lord & trust Him for our lives & to pray for those suffering. I think children will understand these Truths when explained more simply.

I present what was learned in the Spirit, some years ago. That John is recounting a certain history, associated with the Lord, and being cryptic about that, in particular, though details are suggested in the reading of the revelation of our Lord shared with him, over the course of dictating the writing of the book we hold so dearly, mysterious as it is. Certain elements of this passage stand out for me.

It is an angel of the Lord who is presenting, at least the material of the above passage, both contextually (verses 09-15) and in the text itself, under study. But all is prefaced by the call, first, in verse 09: "Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb." That is always an immanent invitation, because we do not know the time of that scheduled event. But its subject is particularly poignant in our day, in our time, for the Lamb of God of the First Century is the same one in the Twenty-First Century.

Aside from the revelation of God in the preserved New Testament, how shall we know who he is? Especially, drawing from the information furnished us in the passage, but particularly in the verse under study (v. 12), and most important to us now, ". . . he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself." What does that mean, of the Lamb of God? And written? Is it so in the New Testament? Then we would know it. But it is not 'written' there.

There is one place only where such a 'writing' would be found. His name there is not commented on by anyone in possession of knowledge gleaned from the reading of that book, but it is there, and it is derived from the question that is asked any and all of us: who is the man identified by another John, who baptized Jesus--by the Baptist himself who said, "Behold the Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world," and which is now found written in flesh and blood in and on a mysterious book or scroll, by which only they of faith can answer?

If you have put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe that God has raised him from the dead, you are already baptized in the Holy Spirit ( Matthew 3:11; Mark 1:8; Luke 3:16; Acts 11:15-17; 1 Corinthians 12:3 and 12:13; 1 John 5:1). All of 1 Corinthians chapter 12 is instructive in the working of the Spirit in Christ's body, the Church.

In John 14:16-18 and in John chapter 16, Jesus promises the Comforter will be sent to dwell with and in his disciples after he returns to the Father. The mission of the Comforter is to reprove the world of sin, righteousness and judgement. As the Spirit of truth, he guides Jesus' followers in all truth, not promoting himself, but glorifying Jesus Christ and the things of Christ.

Romans chapter 8 teaches us about walking in the Spirit after we've learned the hard lesson of our weakness in the flesh as found in Romans 7.

The book of Colossians and 2 Peter chapter 1 are a couple of fine prescriptions for aligning yourself to spiritual living.

I agree there is great deception and I agree the Bible is truth and accurate and I've read the whole Bible and have never read anywhere where it says the earth is flat. I read the opposite though, that the Earth is a circle. I interpret this as a sphere and this can easily be tested and confirmed with GPS, math, going high altitude and seeing the curvature yourself, or flying around the world. Have you ever flown transcontinental? All you have to do is buy a plane ticket to a destination on the opposite side of the earth as you and when you get there, make sure your return flight continues the same direction you want to go and you will return to where you started. So, you can fly the same direction and end up where you started. Obviously if the earth was not a globe this would not happen, and obviously you'd see an 'edge', but no, pilots and business people who fly millions of miles for work would have noticed such a thing by now if it existed.

Psalm 61:2 does not use the word 'corners', it says end of the earth. To me this means the entire earth. 'End' is figurative. You could say the Earth 'ends' at the sky or where there is no more land, but the Bible has figurative language. Look at the rest of the same verse: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. If you interpret this literally, you could claim that you need to start rock hunting as if you're literally searching for a rock and that rock is higher than you, so it must be above your head- maybe even floating, because if it has a base then at least part of it would not be above you. But which way is up? What if you're upside down, do you still look for a rock above or below? Do you see what I mean by figurative vs. literal? End of earth is simply a phrase meaning the entire earth. For example, communion, when Jesus says eat my body and blood, do you think we're supposed to be vampires and literally eat him? No.

Heaviness is actually a demon. They're trying to keep you immobile. In the Lords Prayer it says: "deliver us from evil". Oftentimes, heaviness starts out as a little care or concern. What begins as a small burden grows and grows. Then, you start taking on responsibilities that aren't yours. You start thinking that you have to keep everyone around you happy, or you start worrying about things in the future. All of this piled on becomes very heavy on your heart and mind.

The Bible says that heaviness is actually a spirit. The goal of heaviness is to distract you and get you off track. Heaviness tries to keep your head down so that you can't even look up to the heavens-the place from where your help comes. Heaviness tries to wear you out and take the place of God's spirit, but do you know what chases that spirit of heaviness away? Praise and thanksgiving. Scripture says that God inhabits the praises of His people. He literally comes into our praise and works! When you start praising, God shows up in your midst and every negative spirit has to flee!

If you have heaviness on you today, if you feel trapped, overwhelmed, discouraged, frustrated or anxious, there is only one thing you need to do, and that is to open your mouth and praise Almighty God! Even if it's difficult, even if you don't feel like it, just open your mouth and begin to declare His goodness. Sometimes we have to stir ourselves up in the things of God. Sometimes we have to get our flesh to obey the Word of God so we can see the breakthrough in the supernatural realm.

Today, put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness ( Isaiah 61:3). Set your heart and mind on the Father. Instead of focusing on your problems, focus on your God. Don't let worry get you stuck, but let praise get you through! Enter His gates with thanksgiving, shake off heaviness and embrace the peace, joy and victory God has prepared for you!

I have found there is deception in every area of man's knowledge. The Bible is the only truth. I believe the scriptures say the earth is flat. I am interested to know how you interpret the earth having corners and yet being a circle.

A hireling is the shepherd that takes care of the sheep only for money yet the good shepherd does it whole hearted, Jesus Christ is the good shepherd who takes good care of the sheep (believers in Christ both Jews and Gentiles) A hireling are pastors that are preaching for money and without money they don't preach.

It may be that autism is a palsy and easily cured with the prayers of Faith.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing ALL MANNER of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the PALSY; and he healed them.

If our Faith is small concerning some illnesses; it's hard for us to trust Jesus. People have to go through the New Testament and feed their Faith just to receive a miracle. What the doctors can't do, Jesus wants to and can. If the Church worldwide got radical against autism...wouldn't that be a testimony to Jesus?

We don't lay down and take it. My nephew has it; I've been praying for him; he's in the service now becoming a Seal.

Corporate prayer at your church or one that is tough on demon oppression, can unite their corporate faith and cast that demon of autism out! When Jesus gets involved, good things can happen.

Most important; be careful of your verbal conversations of doubting faith. Don't be Doubting Thomas. Pray and get all the faithless speech DELETED off the book. Your confessions should be full of hope and faith.

Conversation = Faith

It takes determination based on faith scripture. Pump it up and then see what Jesus does. What Satan meant for evil: to curse a life...will be turned to good; to give GLORY to Jesus (who still heals). On Sunday too :)

There are Christians beside you in church that look like Goliath in the faith department. Call up the old ladies too. We're talking about a kids life. God's got His people....

As a street minister when I was younger, I bought McDonalds coupon booklets (for food) and gave them to old ladies or alcoholics who forget to eat food. I'd listen to their stories and tell them of a day when there would be no more sadness or tears; about a Savior who knows them personally.

Jesus said to us: when did you see Me, hungry and thirsty, sad and alone, in prison (real or in my mind), In need of clothing etc.

We can't help all of them, but I promise you the Holy Spirit will lead you to the right ones!

Also, it's possible to meet angels unaware out there too. I saw a man walking with bad feet and broke driving laws to circle back, pick him up and take him to get brand new shoes and socks. It was dark & raining. I didn't find him. I looked everywhere.

8 months later at the doctors office, I was telling the doctor about bad feet stories. His eyes were all big...he told me he picked that man up that night. He did surgery on his feet for free. Bought him good shoes and took him back to his neighborhood.

Stuff like that happens because Jesus knows everybody!

The earth "became" (Hebrew: hayah) without form and void...that is, it became without the form of God's righteousness and void of the knowledge of God as all are not righteous and have turned away out of the Way of righteousness and none understand:

The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters....holy men of God speak (waters = tongues, languages, etc) as they are moved by the Holy Spirit.

The story of Ananias and Saphira has always upset me, every time I read it. It seems to me that what they did was a very human thing, and certainly it was a sin; but the other people were giving everything they had, so it would have been embarrassing to admit that this was only a part of the sale price that they were bringing. It seems to me like a very harsh punishment. I'm crying!
