Mathew 7:11 Says "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him" You are totally wrong. Jesus healed people and God has not changed. The Bible says God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He wants His children well just as you want your children well, and even more says the Bible.

Healing is a good gift. Jesus only did what he saw his father do. So he healed everyone that asked him. Therefore God wants to heal everyone that asks Him. If you don't believe God wants us well, you are going against God. Christ The Healer in You. Amazon

Hey Teresa, I can not tell you all that salvation means in a short paragraph but know that Salvation is by one name, JESUS CHRIST. He and the Father are one and you must call upon Christ to save you From Sin, Death, and Hell for he payed the ultimate price and suffered for all men that we may be saved! I am glad that you believe in God! But be careful for many may claim to believe but are not truly saved ( James 2:19). I encourage you to read Ephesians 2:8 and really that whole chapter! Also a simple way to explain salvation is that you must Hear the word ( Rom. 10:17) and then Believe ( John 3:16). Repent ( Acts 17:30), and Confess that he is LORD ( Rom. 10:10).

To answer your question, just go straight into His Word. Jesus is "the Word", He is the same as He was yesterday. Remember, Jesus didn't abolish the law, He completed it. The old testament holds enough examples about tithing. As Believers, we can't keep going to the "letter" or theology of Gods Word. As well as separating the bible as two era. It's one book, one God, one Word. Jesus is the same as yesterday, so He will be the same in the New Testament as He was in the Old. Peace

Lazarus died towards the end of Jesus' ministry. In Jn 11, Lazarus was then raised from the dead & lived a normal life. Unless, he is still miraculously walking amongst us in the 21st Century, I would say he would have died again and was buried. Yet, he still faced another death ( Jn 12:10,11), as the chief priests planned to put him (and Jesus) to death since through Lazarus' resurrection, many Jews began to believe on Jesus. We don't know what happened to him after this, but traditions give us a possibility. He would then have died, possibly in old age & is awaiting his 2nd resurrection (1 Thes 4:15-18). Here is a man well acquainted with death but remained true to the Lord whom he loved.

The above verses are examples of how artfully plus quickly the forces of evil using mankind attack those who accept JESUS as their SAVIOR, as it relates to SALVATION through John 3:16-21. The forces of evil knows how gullible humans are to a lie, especially a half-truth, or ..., ..., so in 2020, where ever evil can, evil continue using deceived men /wolfs with sheep clothing to torment, scatter, kill, device, ..., especially those of of John 3:16-21.

Chris...I agree about the JW. I've never met one who had doubts about their beliefs. I was a street evangelist and it's hard to turn away wipe the dust off my shoes and travel on. What else did Jesus say to those that thought that their works were important to salvation If ye were of Abraham, you would do the works of Abraham. Is that a contradiction No. What does the Bible say that Abraham did, his work Genesis states that Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him (Abraham) as righteousness. Your faith is what saves you, not your works. The story of Cain and Abel, is the story of the flesh (Cain), versus the Spirit of God (Abel), and how the flesh is always inferior to the Spirit. The Bible says that those that live in the flesh cannot please God, thus Cain's offering was not accepted, because it came from his ego, and his flesh. God bless, in Jesus' name.

The common thought is, that the offering that Cain gave was based on ego. Cain was basically saying: "Look at me, look at what I have done." Exalting himself, while trying to look pious. Basically, a humble-brag. In addition, Abel's offering is a foreshadowing of the sacrifice of Christ, and is meant to teach that there is no acceptance without the blood. You can also look at it in this context, the Israelites of old thought that they were safe from condemnation based entirely on their works. Bill...the Book of James has been in contention over the centuries, as an authority that faith alone does not give salvation. If that were the case, then Jesus' death on the cross is of no effect since one's accepting of it by faith alone secures salvation. If anything else is included, viz. good works for others, baptism, faithfulness in Church going or tithing, etc., then Christ's work & salvation are no longer of grace but of works. ( Rom 11:5,6). However, James is correct, that the proof of real saving faith is seen in a life of good works. If a Christian says that he has faith, and have not works, his faith is dead (Js 2:14-17). Faith saves, but works follow only as evidence of grace.

Mishael...we usually have problems with cults because most of us know very little about their beliefs. It's not difficult to do some research on them so you might be more prepared when you meet. They too appreciate that a 'Christian' will give them time since they get mostly negative receptions. The important subject that JWs bring forward is on God's Kingdom on Earth & we should all share in it. Sounds nice but they don't believe in Hell, so if we refuse to accept their teaching, then we just die & remain in the grave & not rise to live again. My advice to them is that Jesus' death was to give us opportunity to not be in eternal Hell rather than not be left in the grave. No comfort in this.

Mt. 3:5-9: As John the Baptist was baptising (unto repentance), some Pharisees & Saducees had also come to see the spectacle. John basically told them that you talk of repentance but you have no fruit to show for it. And knowing their beliefs that Jews claim to be the children of Abraham (i.e. they only have the right to enter Heaven regardless of how they live their lives), John, looking down at the stones about him, said that from these very stones, God is able to raise children to Abraham. John not only opposed their belief system but in a sense, was saying that even Gentiles would one day have the opportunity. And through Jesus' Sacrifice, all nations can be saved through faith in Jesus.
