To point out the promises of the Messiah, to prove the revelation of prophecy.
    That's what I believe.

Some argue in that, there is then no room for repentance. If God says through FAITH we are justified & Abraham was considered righteous by faith. Genesis 15:6 is the act because of lack of faith?

Falling away is Not The Rapture as a few suppose...Falling away has taken place right now...We are No Longer on Fire for The Lord. We are for Luke Warm and given to Idols and fornification both in and out of Churches....We are for the most part t he same as The Laodician Church.
The Great Trib is God's Way of Bringing Us To Repentance.. 2nd Chron 7:14 comes to mind.

Joel is sad but it is also prophetic that God is gonna pour out his spirit on all FLESH. JOEL is describing the great abomination of desolation. That y jesus said the, nite was coming when when no man can work,My God my my GOD Y HAS THOU FORSAKEN ME.The new wine has been cut off the new covenant. Jesus said the days are coming when you will desire to see 1 of the days of the son of man but you will not see them. Churches on every corner but no Jesus. How do the priest n ministers do mourn simply b/c of this time the great abomination of desolation is upon us.But Jude said earnestly content for the faith that was once delivered to the saints. In the mists of all this th Women will give birth.

2Timothy 3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
    for instruction in righteousness.
It did not say "some", or "most", it said "all", scripture!
Gods Words Stands Forever. It does not change.
    It is settled in heaven.
Forever O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89:
God the Father's word to God His Son.
Why mere men think they have the right to change Gods INSPIRED,
PRESERVED, INFALLIBLE, HOLY SCRIPTURES into Perversions.
MAKING IT NON EFFECT. REMOVING THE "five fundamentals"
that made up our Christian Heritage.
THEY ARE DENYING OUR LORD GOD AND SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST'S
    DIETY!

Thank you Stanjett for your response. I appreciate and believe I know now why it was perhaps a one-time event. My husband was a non-practicing Jehovah Witness at the time of the event, and commented that he would have never believed had he not witnessed for himself that I, without knowing any other language, spoke such a lovely language. Thank you for taking your time to respond. May the Lord richly bless you for all you do for Him.

Annie,God only, knows all,if you speculate election is because we would trust him, that is then his obligation, not grace.Love/God,we are told,is committed to us.We are told God is preeminent in loving us,leave it at that and bask therein. If we could comprehend God,he would not be God.In elevating our knowledge of God,it must never diminish him.God is eternal, and all he shares with us,will never exhaust him,nor reduce our awe.

The faith in the words of Christ apply to all that believe, both jew and gentile, rich and poor, bond and free. The gate is the entering into the kingdom of God. This kingdom is promised to those that watch, lets not take for granted the signs of the times, that Jesus Christ may come when we least expect Him! He may send his angels when we least , his word abides in those who look for Him.Let the word into your soul and have free course, like yeast in flour. It will grow. Plant that smallest seed in your heart. You will become fractal to everyone you love. To him that hath shall be given! This is the revelation of the Jesus that died for us! This all because of HIM!

Once the Holy Spirit comes into a person's spirit, He takes up residence permanently. You cannot lose the Holy Spirit. If you've received Christ, you have His Spirit dwelling in you. As far as tongues goes, I see nothing in scripture that says that a believer who has been born of God's Spirit will speak in tongues as a sign or proof that a person indeed has God's Spirit.

1 Corinthians 14:22 is the only place in scripture that specifically gives us the purpose for tongues. It was used by God as a sign to unbelievers, not believers.

    Hope this helps!

In the KJV as a rule, the possessive pronouns mine and thine are used instead of my and thy when the words they modify begin with vowels. However, there are many exceptions, in the Book of Psalms, at least. I was particularly struck by Psalm 20, Verses 3 and 4:

3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice.
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

In Verse 3, "thy offerings" is followed in Verse 4 by "thine own". What explains such an inconsistency?

Verse 6- we must be careful not to put faith in everything that we hear. We want to compare what we hear with what we know for a fact is the truth. the TRUTH must be proven by the scripture. Therefore any thing that is not written or that is contrary to the scripture MUST BE REJECTED by saints. The truth is THE WORD OF GOD IN THE SCRIPTURE.The TEN COMMANDMENTS and FAITH IN CHRIST are the LIGHT that we must walk in.people have deviated from THE TRUTH and gone after false doctrines: forgetting the SABBATH that GOD says REMEMBER; worshiping idols(pictures/photos/drawings) they call JESUS...that is not light brethren.. 2timothy 3:15-17, Rom 15:4,Exo 2o, 2 peter 3:14-17, Revelation 12:17, jhn 14 &15

speaking in tongues is only one gift from God, there are others. (read on and you will find them) Maybe you served your purpose as far as speaking in tongues. Maybe you brought someone or more to Christ. And they brought more and more and more. This is how the seed is multiplied. God bless and keep the faith.

    Mr. Hilt,
Thank your for your response. it's very much appreciated. The scripture in Job where God is talking to Job about the Leviathan (Dragon) and then referring to other scriptures including the ones you mentioned can be confusing to a new Christian, not to mention the one that is trying to make it understandable. Thank you again for responding.

    Dear Lisa,

The KJV hasn't changed. The word 'should' has remained more than 400 years since it's first printing. Here's proof: Link It's possible you didn't have a real KJV back when you memorized this verse. Well-meaning people including pastors may easily misquote verses like this thinking they are quoting verbatim, then assuming it is KJV. NASB uses the word 'shall', for example.

  • Monte Flagg - In Reply on Leviticus 24 - 6 years ago
You can't spiritually kill anyone; because we are born spiritually dead. Only Adam and Eve where created spiritually alive. But the day they ate of the tree they both spiritually died. And since then everyone born on earth are born spiritually dead. We can only be made spiritually alive again through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
