the 7th trump is the last trump
Paul in 1 Cor 15:52 - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
we are still here so that sound in the sky was not the 7th trump.

Hello, it sounds like you're assuming God 'promised' he will protect you from evil 24/7 during your lifetime because you believe in Him. If so, that may not be true. In fact, the Bible says we will have many tribulations and that Satan and his evil will tempt us, but we must resist Him. God is a fair judge who and people who commit evil against us will receive judgment, but it may not happen on our arbitrary time table. Have you resisted satan, prayed for him to flee, and stayed strong in your faith in God? 1 Corinthians 10:13, James 1:12, 1 Peter 5:10, Romans 12:12

    Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Peter was given the same keys as you and I today, Faith in his name (JESUS) the doors are opened and shut. Like Daniel in the den of lions an angel shut the lions mouth.
Acts 3:16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

"Lot made his way to the mountains, and abode in a cave, stripped of all for which he had dared to subject his family to the influences of a wicked city. But the curse of Sodom followed him even here. The sinful conduct of his daughters was the result of the evil associations of that vile place. Its moral corruption had become so interwoven with their character that they could not distinguish between good and evil. Lot's only posterity, the Moabites and Ammonites, were vile, idolatrous tribes, rebels against God & the bitter enemies of His people" Patriarchs & Prophets p. 167

"By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went." Hebrews 11:8. Abraham's unquestioning obedience is one of the most striking evidences of faith to be found in all the Bible. To him, faith was "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Verse 1. Relying upon the divine promise, without the least outward assurance of its fulfillment, he abandoned home and kindred and native land, and went forth, he knew not whither, to follow where God should lead. • Mary on Exodus 3 - 6 years ago
Exodus 3:The Bible is the living word which conforms to the current individual needs of the reader. What is your instinct? Here is mine: There are many places which refer to calling on the name of the Lord. This is where His name is given, which is actually widely unknown. YHWH in Hebrew. Spoken Yahweh. Now that you know His name call upon Him. Lord and God are titles. Do you call your best friend misses? Call upon the name of Yahweh and He will answer. Translators removed His name from His book claiming to defend the commandments. Taking His name in vain is feigning Christianity, taking it lightly, or denying the power of Yahweh. Look up the meaning of His name, it denotes His power.

  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 19 - 6 years ago
God shows his love and no favoritism by choosing the underdogs for great things. He chose people who had disabilities, speech issues, poor, murderers, in dysfunctional families for great things. It gives us hope.
  • Ellie - In Reply on Genesis 19 - 6 years ago
God had to start somewhere. You would probably ask the same question had He chosen another.
  • Adam - In Reply on Genesis 19 - 6 years ago
God is a fair judge. In today's world you hear of people doing bad things and 'getting away with it', at least temporarily. They will be judged accordingly. I don't believe anyone gets by with anything. Romans 2:6-11. Also, just because the Bible doesn't describe something doesn't mean something 'didn't happen'. For example, no one in the Bible is described as using the restroom, but we can assume they did. Likewise, you can read several stories without reading about them eating or sleeping, so we shouldn't assume they didn't, because that was omitted. Likewise, just because it doesn't say the daughters were punished doesn't mean they weren't.

Incorrect. Antiochus Epiphanes is not the little horn of Daniel 8. When correct and thorough Bible study is applied, the identity of the Antichrist (little horn) reveals Papal Rome is the only power that fully fits this symbolism - Papal Rome took over control after Pagan Rome terminated. The Seventh-Day Adventists are correct in this interpretation, which is totally & historically confirmed. For a revealing study on the subject, highly recommend Bill Cave's interesting 3 part series (type in Bill Cave in YouTube's searchbar). You will however need to do his studies on Daniel 2, 7, 8 & 9 to get foundation for this further study. God bless!
  • Sony - In Reply on Genesis 19 - 6 years ago
Abraham was a pagan living in the Land of the Ur with everyone else worshipping the same gods. It wasn't until God called upon him to move, which begs me to ask the question, why did God pick Abraham from all the other pagans?
  • Sony - In Reply on Genesis 19 - 6 years ago
I am asking the same question! I think it's crazy that nothing happens to the daughters and it just skips to the next chapter.
  • Sony on Genesis 19 - 6 years ago
It's a little strange that nothing happens to the wicked daughters by God. I wonder why.
  • Stephen Botts - In Reply on Numbers 19 - 6 years ago
Frank, God requires a blood sacrifice. Hebrews 9:22 "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."
And praise God, He sent His only begotten Son to pay that price for us once and for all. Even in the Garden, God had to kill innocent animals to make skins/clothes for Adam and Eve. John the Baptist cried, "Behold the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sin of the world". Jesus was and is the very definition of Innocence. Without spot and blameless. Yet He was obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. For you and me. His shed blood is why we are saved and KEPT SAVED! He paid the price of our sin. Death. Rom 6:23. Take care.

Behold i stand at the door and knock if any man hear my voice th word, and open the door (understanding ) i will come into him and ( sup communion ) with him and he with me .the kingdom of god cometh not with eat or drink, we cannot eat ourselves into the kingdom of god its got to come via divine understanding the word his voice as faith comes by hearing his word not by eating or drinking anything.the ear tries words just as the mouth tastes meats.thats y peter said to whom shall we go lord thou has the words of eternal life. my words are spirit and life ( communion ) .even in the o.t. the blood had to be applied to th right ear as you are made clean by the word i have spoken unto you gbu.
  • Word 76 on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 6 years ago
There is a 6th trump and that's the tribulation and when All and that is all humans being born of flesh because the elect are here to stand against Satan and they are delivered up to death which is Satan so when you see a man with supernatural powers performing tricks that humans can't do and he stands in Jerusalem claiming to be God and the world believes following him, don't go. Time, five months because it was shorten for the elect sake. Then all are changed to spiritual bodies at the 7th trump.
