There seems to be a group of people claiming Israelites were black, but from my understanding Israelites then are the same color as the Israelites today, middle eastern, medium shade, with olive skin, of course depending on how much time they spend in the sun. In Jesus' day they walked a lot and likely were quite dark, but what scriptural evidence do people use to think they were black like Africans?

Why did God chose Moses and Haron to go near Mount Sinai when to give the laws and the commandments?
  • Obbie Beal on Revelation 21 - 6 years ago
After reading the above I am reminded of my childhood days when their was not a care in the world for me to worry over, just enjoy life from GOD. So as it relate to 21 above I know everything will be NEW at that TIME, so I Can Only Image What that Day /Time Will Be Like. I enjoy long walks in the country here on earth and being amazed by GOD creation... birds soaring or singing, ants preparing for winter, trees dancing with the wind, and later favorite deserts, so so I Can Only Image What that Day /Time Will Be Like. Never held Gold here on earth and that is o.k. but on that day /Time above......

Jonah knew he had done wrong and told them to throw him Overboard but God sent the Whale to Rescue him.We will reap the Evil we Sow this is our choice but its Gods Disapline so we will come to our Senses like the Prodical Son did and what a Wonderful Welcome Home. Satan puts us to the Test seeking for us to reject God and Worship him and uses his followers to hurt us too. In this fallen World we will also have hardship but God is Love and because He knows us as His own He Protects our Soul and not One of us will be lost. He also tells us in Lam3:33 He Doth Not Afflict Willingly nor Grieve the Children of Men. When God tests us its with Opertunities to Walk in The Fruit of The Spirit; Gal5.

Honey than Vinger but who wants Flies they Rhyme with Lies and No doubt they have egos too and would not appreciate hearing they are Pests Yep they try to steal what is not theirs just like Satan who is the Father of Lies and those who Lie too. By Lies he seeks to deceive and confuse Gods Children.1Timothy4 Preach the Word be Instant in Season out of Season Reprove, Rebuke, Exhort with all Longsuffering and Doctrine. For the Time will come when they will not endure Sound Doctrine but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves Teachers having itching ears and they shall turn away their ears from the Truth and shall be turned unto Fables.
  • Rjgil - In Reply on Ecclesiastes 3 - 6 years ago
This discussion has moved from being angry for what God says about our works, to what man is doing. Ecclesiastes is written to show the vanity in our lost estate. Before we are born again, everything we do is vanity. We have NO spiritual interest, purpose, or desire to honor God ,(nor can we - that is wrought by the Holy spirit). If we don't have the Holy Spirit, we are none of His. Rom 8:9.
We honor ourselves, and want no part with God.
Not in sports only, but in business, schools, government (at all levels), and everything. God is speaking about the lost man...
As I stated, when we are in Christ, God will bless our works if done to honor Him.

  • Renee on Psalms 35 - 6 years ago
My Bishop gave my husband and I Psalms 35 to read when we was going through a rough time. My husband and I knew we were being plotted against and people said mean things about and told lies on us. However, we continue to read this Psalms knowing God will vindicate us once again and reveal the truth.

These are the words of Jesus. Just cause someone claims to be a "Jew" does not make it so.
Jesus in bible book Revelation 2:9 - I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

1 Thess 2:14, 16 - For ye, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like
things of your own countrymen, EVEN AS THEY HAVE OF THE JEWS: WHO BOTH KILLED THE LORD JESUS, and their OWN PROPHETS, and have persecuted us; and THEY PLEASE NOT GOD, and are contrary to all men: ....

It matters how you are baptised, Jesus Christ commanded "baptizing in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost". That name is the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said that He came in His Father's (Jesus Christ) and that is the name to be baptized in. Also 10Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

That God gives life and only He can take it. Life is breathed in at the moment of conception. God knew us even before we were. He knows everything about us to knowing the very hairs on our head . The 10 commandments say we are not to kill. Satan is the one who goes about killing, we must open our hearts and minds to see how God feels about life.

Yes I know that. My point was that everyone seems to think that the book of Jonah is more about the Whale, or fish as the Bible says. Thank you for answering my question. God Bless you.

    Romans 11:2 Context

1I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, 3Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. 4But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. 5Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.KINDLY STUDY ROMANS 11; DANIEL 9.

1 Timothy Chapter 1: 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

    10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

    2 Timothy Chapter 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
    3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers...

    Romans 11:24 Context
21For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. 24For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? 25For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery

What Hoof is being accepted who do we listen too God and His Sheep or Wolves in Sheeps clothing. Even Rebuking in Love for Love is being rejected or watered down today. Jesus was Perfect but was Paul and others both in the Old and New Testerment, had they become Perfected in Gods Love when they Chastised and Rebuked those in disobedance because they Loved them Prov 27:5-6 Do we close our eyes when people are allowing Satan to get a foothold in their lives by continuing to Sin or ignore and minimise it because we are not Perfect yet or have done the wrong thing. Gods Love is not Saccrine Sweet when needed He Rebukes 2Tim4 or Disaplines us, we will reap the evil we sow untill we Repent Lk15.

Very good Mr.Ezeomedo, Thou are not far from the kingdom of God.The condition you speak of is a carnal condition, the tilting flesh you refer to.Paul speaks in Ephesians about the "spirit of wisdom and revelation and the power "given to those who believe and trust in the Christ. The Resurrection of the body of Christ , is who we abide in. Paul uses the word "Fills all in all" Our father gives us all power, that which is above all according to his will. This is the condition of being in light verses being in darkness. The temple is the temple of body Christ raised in 3 days, this is the temple we abide in .He is the head of the body the church who we serve.

Love God like he did to us and get ready to see more trials coming your way. Christian life is not easy. I have learned a lot since the day I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I have been through many storms and with God anything is possible. Trust Him, do not lean on your own understanding, because His plans are to prosper us not to harm. Lets get your full armor of God on and lets keep going for our purpose in life to glorify God alone.
