My understanding is that Islam believes in the Old and New Testament, but doesn't believe Jesus died on the cross- a large departure from scriptures. They don't respect Jesus as God, but just a man. Their prophet is Muhammad, instead of Jesus. Muhammad hated Jews and murdered nearly 1,000 Jews of them, why you see very negative sentiment to Jews today, especially Israel. Muhammad married young pre-pubescent girls to be his wives and Islam today mistreats and oppresses women. Islam made more books to justify their religion like Quran and Hadith, etc. Instead of peace, it's verses talk about getting vengeance which is why there's terrorism. They think they'll be rewarded with 72 virgins.

How are christianity and Islam different?

Tough to generalize any large groups of people, because within a country, a % identifies as Christian, and among those a % are practicing Christians, and a % of the countries leaders make non-Christian decisions. Sometimes the decisions are a choice between two wrongs though, like do nothing and x people get killed, or so, but kill a subset of people and less people overall may be killed. So, either way is a loss and get labeled as evil. Founding fathers mostly were Christian and that's why we have in God we trust printed on money, etc.

In this particular case it is my father that feels he needs to tell my mother, whom they have been divorced for over 45
years, that he has forgiven her. Not that she was at any more fault than he was, but because he hated her up until a few
years ago, which I don't know my mom even realized it. She does not hate him and has been happily re-married for 40
years. There has been drama over the years, always him dragging things up about my mom, which she doesn't even know about because I've never told her. This is to make himself feel better but I feel like my 83 year old mother does not need the drama. I want to obey God and give him the correct advice but it doesn't feel right. Advice?

The next verse 22 says forgive 70x7 which is a metaphor for forgive others without limit. Forgive others as God has forgiven us. If we don't God may not forgive us. Colossians 3:13, Luke 6:37

Everything that is in the Bible is prophecy and God himself has chosen us to be his own family from the beginning of time. We who love him cannot be a corrupted vessel. When we fall short he doesn't condemn us for he knows before it's done. God examines the heart of the matter. When King David sinned he pardoned him because he changed by repentance and Godly sorrow and the Apostle Paul was a changed man because Jesus always knows and uses your potential that others do not see. The statement literally means 7 times. Peter here is asking the Lord how many times should one forgive someone who sins against them and is asking if seven times is enough. If you read the next verse you will see the LORD wants us to always forgive one another as he responds with "until seventy times seven". But this number is not meant to be taken as a stopping point. It is interesting that the number seven is the number of perfection or completion. I believe God wants us to always forgive one another an innumerable times. Read Luke 17: 3-4 as it parallels this passage.

This may seem like a crazy question to some but I really would like to get others opinions and answer to this question. What is the difference, if there is a difference between paradise and heaven?

I lost my brother ,he was 51 . The Lord took him in his sleep. Although it was a unexpected thing, I new and had confidence that he is in paradise with Christ! The Lord gave us time a few days prior to discuss the gospel of Christ. When I think back on the events in his life, I'm convinced that the Lord used him in special ways as a step father and Father. Like all of us he had his faults, but new he was forgiven. Even tho he is not here it is like he never left, probably because I know because of CHRISTS promises I will see him again. Yes sir I believe we ought to listen to the word of God!! Even application of the OT Levitical civil laws is good for the body like you mentioned. My pasture gave a message on the reason we should not just ignore these laws given to the people of Israel, while yes we are not under such laws, yet they are still beneficial and much wisdom is found within them. Notice how the word of God uses the phrase 'unclean unto you' when describing these dietary laws; seems as though the LORD was warning man that pork will lead to serious health problems such as diabetes, heart conditions, and high cholesterol.

When I read some of the other Comments it surprised me that they didnt realise or understand why the these books were removed from the Bible. It was proven before they were removed that they were not inspired by God, He does not Contradict Himself or encourage us to believe in hearsay and fables which they contain, He tells us to reject them. He made sure these books were removed focusing on error leads to confusion. But I would like Admin to explain how Martin Luther could have said what this Website Claims when he was dead. Did I miss something or not understand dates etc why would they lie when except for some translation errors this Website is sharing in the KJV Gods Inspired Words.

It is very important to understand the issue of salvation as christian.Attending church or participating in church activities does not make one a child of God , you have to be born again!Unless one is born again he / she cannot see the kingdom of God.You have to accept Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and ask him to forgive all of your sins and commit your heart to him , only then can attending church be beneficial.The whole chapter of John 3 gives a detailed account that man needs to be born again in order to enter the kingdom of God.I suggest you prayerfully invite Jesus Christ in your life right now , do not delay anymore , ask him to forgive all fo your sins then surrender your life

Where the above relates to SALVATION through JESUS I say WOW! WOW! WOW! because I understand from the above, JESUS return could have have been yesterday, but JESUS did not return yesterday so I pinch myself to remember oh, oh, JESUS is merciful, long-suffering,... ensuring all who will enter in SALVATION enter in before JESUS return as stated above. There are some exceptions for divorce , and God hates Divorce , but zero exceptions for a Divorced person to remarry unless there spouse dies , then and only then are they free to marry .

Thank you Christine, its a Blessing to read what you shared. So many Woman today in the Churches reject Gods Guidlines for us. One Woman Pastor even told me to forget the Scriptuers when I said they confirmed His Truth concerning Woman in Pastoral Leadership over Men and than asked me why God would not want her to be a Pastor and later her Husband phoned and told me off. Yes sadly today even Men are promoting Womans Leadership in the Churches but God tells us what to do when they dont obey Him in 1Corinthians14:34-40. God Bless you greatly Christian.
