a thousand years is as 1 day with the Lord, as 1 day is a thousand years. it doesn't say rapture, it says being caught up unto God and his throne.

Does anyone know what the name "Obed" means? Also, since Ruth was a young woman when she married Boaz, I suspect she was around when David was a boy. She would have been his great-Grandmom? She may have been instrumental in his spiritual development, teaching him to know and love the God of grace...?

You can read in Daniel and Revelations about the different world empires in the end times. As well as other places throughout the Bible. America is unreferenced.

Jesus said it is finished, there are no new prophecies or teachings it is complete -- John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. --- Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

It is correct, except that there is no eight days, but the first day of the next week.

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

I am in need of Jesus each new day. May he be constantly with me and convicting me daily by The Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for loving me, even when I stumble and fall in sins path. Let there be no condemnation, but only freedom to love You even more. May Your Name be Praised throughout each new day, until that great and fearful day when judgement comes. We stand up for Jesus as he wraps his loving arms around us.

I agree in that when we accept by faith God's plan, we are made new and our souls cannot sin. They are preserved and hid in God until the day of redemption. Our fleshly bodies however can commit sin which needs cleansing daily. The eternal part of us that will spend an eternity either with Christ or without and is preserved. No one, can break that seal. Our souls are saved not our bodies.

I was married to a pediofile. When my daughter finally told me the truth that her father molested her from age 4 to 17, I felt guilt and shame. I was a disfunctional Mother. All the terrible pain and suffering I caused my daughter. I didn't protect her. My consequences are so great. She wants nothing of me for close to 10 years. I am Saved but I can't forgive myself for what I did to her. Why?
  • Robert DeHaan on John 9 - 6 years ago
I enjoy so much of Matthew Henry s Commentary as his insights open the Word up even more for me to understand. John the Beloved did love Jesus so much and we who are no longer spiritually blind are also Beloved by our Messiah. O for a thousand tongues to sing His Name! I can only imagine when we as His Saints in Eternity will sing as thousands, upon thousands tongues to the Lamb, never tiring of showing Him all GLORY,HONOR AND PRAISE!

It looks as though you didn't read 10. I give you verses 26,27,28,29,30. Your the one that does the plucking. You have not read Romans 1 The one thing that God will not accept is sin in a Christians life. You are walking on very thin ice. It may help to read Revelation 2, 3 the whole chapters. Who and what was Christ tempted with? Little pieces of Gods word Read about the reprobate mine

Unless the tribulation is 20 to 100 years from now this is talking about America, I did not want it to be believe me but if you read it their is no other choice, Babylon will be the hinder most of the nations America , she will have a mother that's ashamed Britton no other nation today has a surviving mother she is the major importer exporter of the world, she is the hammer of the whole earth etc etc
  • Rich on Isaiah 47 - 6 years ago
it amazes me that so many good Christians refuse to see certain things that are clear in the Bible because of doctrine or previous teachings, most folk believe 47 is Rome but they have to overlook many verses to make that work, like Babylon being the largest importer and exporter that is not Rome and "she is the hinder most of the end time nations, how do you miss that!!!

Hi, I found these scriptures. Are they referring to The Rapture? 1 Corinthians 15:52, Matthew 24:30, 2 Thessalonians 1:7, 1 Peter 1:13, Revelation 1:7. On a funny note: I remember singing the song "Ill see you in the rapture" as a kid and "Left Behind The rapture song - all which were very scary to me, I was afraid to go to sleep.

Many think we can Never be Perfect and in a Wordly way we Can't but in God's Way we Can. He tells us to be Perfect like He is Matthew5:48 He is Love 1John 4:16 to put our Carnal flesh to death by The Spirit Romans 8 and Aim to be Perfect Hebrews 6:1 in Love 1John 4:11-21 When we are Born Again of Gods seed 1John 3:9 we will not Sin1John 5:18 our Old Carnal Nature has gone our Nature is Righteous.

I am understand the story of jethro telling moses to get help from his people, is how we are to do in our church. some churches have well over 400 people. we have suday school superintendants, nursey moitors, sunday school teachers, newlywed classes, aging groups, we have a group for support in every as pect of our life. now if those leaders cannot answer a question they go to the pastor.. infact the bible states to not sue anyone... and if someone sue you give them much more than what they ask for, i think you all got the wrong impression of this story. if the pastor has a problem with a question he goes to some older and much wiser leader, in the same faith. i believe that.

Dear Irritated, Your outlook on 'life' seems hopeless. As Christians, we don't have to live life wandering if God will save us everyday. If you have trusted the LORD Jesus Christ as your Savior, the work has already been done. Jesus said right before he died on the Cross, "It is finished" John 19:30 and also "neither shall any pluck them out of my hand" John 28:10. Be secure in Christ my friend.

One can say Trinity is not in the Bible, however the word Godhead is. God made man in HIS IMAGE and the Bible says man has 1. BODY, is not your 2. SOUL is not your 3. SPIRIT is not your Body 3 parts 1 man 1 Thess 5:23 - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 1 Corinthians 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

In reply to Su: we all have the same struggle. Even the apostle Paul. Read Romans 7:15 to Romans 8:1. With 8:1 being the key, if we are in Christ, we are not condemned. Continue to fight the good fight.

Speaking of death, Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it Ecclesiastes 12:7 . Death is a state of temporary unconsciousness while the person awaits the resurrection. It is called "sleep", not Paradise. All genuine Christians, I think, are hopeful of entering the Pearly gates of Heaven.

Jews and the Gentiles both can be saved, for whosoever believe on the name of the Son shall have eternal life. You know the capitol of Israel? That would be Jerusalem. Now look in the middle of that name, and what do you see? Amen!

Thank you so much for this information. You are clearing a lot of things up for me. I was told the Trinity was "false teaching". However, I did not think so. I appreciate your help. Betty.
