You answered your own question. Physical bodies won't be raised but spiritual bodies- 1 Corinthians 15:44. All physical bodies are done and unusable. The whole chapter addresses this exact question.

So the dead will rise "spiritually"...what about people who have been cremated or bodies have been mutilated.

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." - 2 Corinthians 5:8 is what it actually says. Paul says he's "willing" and would "rather" be absent. The Bible says the dead will rise when Jesus returns and be judged.

My second question is, I have heard that in heaven, your family connections are no longer there. You are just as close or loving to any other spirit as the same as your earthly Mother Father Husband, etc. Please shed light?

So I have a famous question to ask. What happens to our spirit soul when we die? I have heard that you go into a spiritual sleep until second coming of Christ and you are then judged. James, Chapter 11 is the existing Heaven in time.Take note the ark of the covenant is there. This ark contains truth to man. Chapter 21 is a New Heaven. This is the one we dwell in. Protestant were you refering to Jesus confirming that He was The Son of God meaning He was One with God The Father Jn10:30 and being Conceived by The Holy Ghost One with Him too but Jesus had Davids seed Matt1 being Born in the flesh of Mary and was in Joseph Lineage too.
