Romans 10:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
1 Corinthians 14:32-33
I would not go by any experience or feeling. Read the Word of God by yourself, at home, away from the influence of a venue of possibly dubious biblical authenticity. I would not go back to such a place.
John 10:27-28
In I Corinthians 15:1-4 Paul does an excellent job in explaining the gospel of salvation. In the Book of John the importance of believing in Jesus for one's salvation is very much emphasized. That is the only unforgiveable sin.....not being saved. The good news is that a person can turn to Jesus and believe upon Jesus at any time while one is alive. It is when the unsaved dies, then there is a problem. God loves us so much.
Luke 3:21-22 21Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
Recently I spent some time with a friend who also thought that these people sat at a table with God and ate and drank.
After carefully reviewing the word of God, it became clear that "no man has seen God and lived".
I notice scripture tells us in Ex6 v20 that Amram, Moses father, took as his wife, his fathers sister. So Moses father married his aunty, which is forbidden in later scripture.
Clearly then, incest was not a problem in the beginning to populate the world but I believe sin made it a problem later. Marriage now starts at first cousin, however in some societies this is frowned on
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
If we love we fulfill the law.
King James Bible
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads: Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or. the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil
People go to hell because they can not fulfill the law but Jesus fulfilled it for us so if we believe in him we are saved by faith in him and by confessing him and being a doer of his word.
