JESUS SAID - Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

According to Jesus in John 5, the dead that will rise to meet Christ at His coming are the righteous saved. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 explains this scene well. The righteous saved go down to their grave in death and wait there in silence. They are sleeping John 11 , or dead. To them, death is but a momentary sleep.

16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! Note the on going cry of mankind in 2019-2020 is go to school, get a good job, IRA, 401K, my SSI, car, house, ..., but Wisdom and Understanding that comes from GOD is not included in the equation of man thereby we get a society, world, like we got today.

  • Seventh day is sabbath - In Reply on Exodus 20 - 6 years ago
On Exodus 20:8-11 the commentary says One day in seven is to be kept holy The 4th commandment says Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy, verse 10 says the 7th day is the sabbath. Don't be fooled into thinking that you can take just any day for the sabbath. God says a specific day 7th is to be kept holy.
  • Walter - In Reply on Exodus 37 - 6 years ago
    Why do you believe that?
  • Seventh day is sabbath - In Reply on Exodus 20 - 6 years ago
GAZ-Yes, the law is still in effect today, Hebrews 13:8 God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Commandment 4 Exodus 20:8-11 is important and will come into play right before Jesus comes, man will enforce his law to worship on 1st day of wk Sunday but we are to worship God and be obedient to His laws and worship on 7th day of wk. Acts 5:29 better to obey God not man

The Jews are still God's chosen people. But, having rejected the true Messiah, Jesus, the gospel is gone now to the Gentiles. Until the time of the gentiles are fulfilled the eyes of the Jews are blinded. Not that a Jewish person can't be saved. But they are willingly blind as to Jesus being the Messiah. They will recognize Him as the One whom they pierced at His second advent.
