Behold, I come quickly hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. What is the easy meaning of this. What is it r3ally saying?

I was Thankful Ruben to hear before that you believe in the Trinity sadly those who reject Jesus' Divinity are worshiping a god of their own understanding and it shows they don't have The Holy Spirit yet. I never said that you belonged to a Cult but that what you shared was what they believe too about Christmas and Easter but they are confirmed in Scripture as we Christians remember them - Anne.

We ought to obey God rather than man. Jesus came to fulfill the law, to satisfy the law requiring blood sacrifice for sins. He did not come to destroy the law. Should we throw out other principles that God gave man such as Thou shalt not lie, steal, commit murder, etc. The tithe was to honor God with the first fruits of all our time, talent and treasures. God gave to us, we should give back.

He was God's chosen to be the father of his nations he is the Olive tree
  • Vanessa - In Reply on Romans 11 - 6 years ago
Paul was speaking of the Olive tree which began with Abraham a promise again made by God to him that he would deliver his people the Jew , who bragged about being God's chosen and we gentiles were heathens without God this is what he is referring to here. we are grafted in because of their boasting and denying of Christ . Luke 16:22-25 shows who Abraham was and do not call him unclean, God's heart

We must become aware of the worldly things that we have in our lives that we are holding onto that oppose obedience to God, and run contrary to what he is telling us to do. If we persist, we are given over to and grow in doublemindedness: becoming SO EARTHLY MINDED THAT WE ARE NO HEAVENLY GOOD.

I agree that those in church leadership should have higher standards. The Bible gives such examples of standards for those qualified to become elders of church. 1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4.

Salvation to mankind was first foretold by God Himself in Genesis 3:15. There was no Abraham at that time. Abraham was a Chaldean a pagan but chosen by God to be the root in the lineage of Christ coming. But the Isralites rejected Christ and for their unbelief they were cut off. We were grafted in because of believing in God as John 1:12 says, we became the children of God.

I've talked to people who do not like v. 6. They have listened to other religionists who have a spin on the scripture, not of God. That which NB it says is as it means. Believe.

Whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall NEVER die....Such a powerful statement. Thank you, Jesus, for your Free Gift of Eternal Life. By Grace through Faith, not of yourselves lest any man should boast. Jesus plus nothing else. Perfected Forever.

Our Footprints- A Poem by Anne....... No One comes into Our Lives without Leaving Their Footprints good or bad. May I accept the Love that is offered and not dwell on the rejection and hurt but Forgive or Seek Forgivenness and move on in Love. Than the Footprints I Leave will always be ones of Love and Encouragement even if not Known by those to whom it's Shown.

I like the way you put that comment someone on facebook said that they invited God to come and sup with them invited God ?yes so many feel they can do whatever they want to do and still be a child of God, God has been good to me and allowed me to live 64 years and I need to be thankful
  • Marjorie Hodges - In Reply on Acts 6 - 6 years ago
Amen your statement says a lot and reminds me of the Church of Laciaous the spelling is incorrect but it's one of the seven churches of Asia the lost their first love they became lukewarm and the Lord spit them out
  • Freedomborn in Love* - In Reply on Psalms 109 - 6 years ago
Dear Monique I understand your heartache mine is similar but differant I'm also being Persecuted What Jacob shared with you God did for me, I don't accept the wrong they did to me and nor does God but after asking for His Help to Forgive them I had Peace and Inner Joy again. When someone stops Loving us it hurts because we don't stop Loving them but Jesus understands, Cares and Helps Mat11: 28-3

True GHI, all who do evil like Satan does without Heart Repentance will reap what they sow and if they Reject Jesus the Unforgivable Sin it's Blaseming The Holy Spirit by calling Him a Lier than they have no Hope but if not we don't Judge their Eternal Salvation even if they hurt us they may Repent on their deathbed we also don't seek revenge we Pray for them and do good to them. Blessings - Anne.
  • Freedomborn to be Perfected - In Reply on Psalms 11 - 6 years ago
I agree Adam we can't judge everyone in a Church by those who hurt us but if their in Leadership others will be polluted so we are to Rebuke and forgive more than once Lk17:3 but if no Repentance we move on I haven't found a Church where all are Perfected in Love and nor am I yet but I'm Aiming for it as God asks us to do Mat5:48 and as Paul and others became before they died 1Jn4:17-18 -Anne
  • Freedomborn - Grannie Annie - In Reply on Psalms 11 - 6 years ago
Dear Eileen I understand your Heartache when we Trust others which is part of Love and they hurt us it's hard to Trust again What Randy shared is needed and I have Forgiven but that does not mean that I accept the wrong they did and nor does God and He tells us that all Scripture is for us too 2Tim3:16-18 whenever we are in need including for Reasurence and Encouragement 1Sam30:6, God Loves You.

not sure of what you are saying--I told you or someone in this discussion trinity was not in the Bible--I did say it was the Godhead comprised of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Trinity is the three of one in the same with three different offices. Don't understand where that is considered cult. Please clarify to me and all that will read your post.

Michael, that cross is only an earthly artifact that says I believe in Jesus. Unless you worship that cross it doesn't matter what the design is. There is only ONE to worship and that is God. Hope this helps.

A pastor said that the new testament tells us we don't have to pay our tithes my question is are we supposed to pay tithes
  • Anthony van Duyn - In Reply on Daniel 10 - 6 years ago
Your argument is somewhat prevaricated upon the prince of Persia being Satan, which is not the best logic either. It is logical though to assume that the Christ had a form and a name prior to his existence here on Earth. Hence Michael literally means "One who is like God", for "he who has seen me has seen the Father". Jesus was most certainly the Most Important Arch Messenger Angel

That therefore explains that you must marry a Christian husband. It's more preferable.

He needs us to be fruitful and multiply fill the earth . Why would he die for us anyway if he didn't need us carelessly?

I have spent about two years correcting atheists view point that there are contradictions in the bible. Every alleged contradiction they claimed I showed them that it wasn't a contradiction. they just take a verse out of context and make up their own story about it. I have never found one of their alleged contradiction to be true.

I know that the bible is the word of God. The tongue is powerful because it says in scripture the words you speak out of your mouth will cause it to happen. We need to guard our tongue and think before we say words that can harm, not forgotten, and can be measured.
