The principle of greatness is service. Elisha was a powerful, hardworking and successful farmer during his time. Yet, he ministered or served Elijah verse 21b . No wonder then that he became a great prophet and performed more miracles than his boss Elijah .Principle has no respect of persons. Therefore, the principle of greatness which is service, absolutely worked for Elisha after Elijah's demise

40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever. Wow! Wow! Wow! To GOD be all Honor Glory, and Praise.

Now is the appropriate time to turn to God. Beware the haughty who accuse with back-biting, trash talking, mud slinging, hatred, vengeance retribution.Their tongues are vile, for they curse their brothers sisters, fathers mothers then proudly say 'I am righteous!' These will see feel in pain their own tongues dance in flames but not ever be consumed. TEST ALL YOU HEAR TURN TO GOD!

It is the anointing that makes the difference. O Lord anoint me for holiness sanctification in Jesus' name because without holiness, no one will see the Lord.

We should never have wavering faith, even in troubled times, we must remember God is right there in it with us, He knows our strength. Remember Christ purchased us on the cross, God's love, mercy, and most of all His Grace is with us always. when we feel lost pray, ask Him for wisdom and understanding when your in doubt, He'll hear you and lead you, trust in Him for all things. God Bless

My Father in Heaven-- Hollow be thy Name. That prayer will get you His attention,as would Psslm 23. It is the total respect of understanding who your Father really is to you. He always wants the best for you. The enemy the worse for you. So what are you waiting for? Get on your knees and show your Love for him as he Loves you. Read His Holy Book-- the Bible. Learn to Live by His standards. Always!

Psalm : 125 :vs 3 - this is were we as a body of believers stand right now in America concerning our President, our freedoms, our churches. The enemies of God threatens our very existence. Only God and dedicated believers can turn this nation around. Don't let Satan's people win. Fight against the kangaroo court in Washington DC. Prays God for his promises in this psalm or we would parish.
  • JON DERIEL on Esther 10 - 6 years ago
I am perplexed by all the comments herein about God and prayer. God is nowhere mentioned in the Book of Esther. Neither is prayer, nor keeping the commandments, nor religion of any kind, nor even living a virtuous life Mordecai pimps out his niece to gain influence in the royal court . It is a story of people who are a disliked minority in the land using their own wits and courage to survive.

I AGREE WITH MATTHEW HENRY WITH WHAT HE SAID. Christ is the Son of GOD. When He left the Holy Ghost came on the day of Pentecost and brought back to remembrance everything that He had preached. Christ had ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of the FATHER, to make intercession for whosoever would believe upon His name and do His will, as the will of the FATHER. Thank You, Brother Gary

  • GAZ on Exodus 20 - 6 years ago
I keep the Law, by Gods grace, because He loves me and I am a Christian. I keep it because I am a Christian, not to be a Christian. By the blood of Jesus I am no longer under the condemnation of the law. To say we no longer need to keep the law because we are no longer under the law is a complete misinterpretation. Gods moral law, the ten commandments, has never been rescinded. The law stands.

Jake--your friend needs more than you can give. Check Mat 7:6. Let God handle it. Show your friend a cheerful side of how it feels to be a Christian he will probably get the picture. You can plant seeds but it takes God to make them sprout and grow.

To me, when GOD says "Be not a surety in another man's matter, He IS commanding us to abstain from cosigning for others from renting cars, insuring the cars of others and other such things. And, He is attempting to provide a,measure of protection for us, so we are not held accountable for financial decisions of others or being used by others to our detriment.

My spirit has rejoiced in God my savior. He has done great and wonderful things for me. Blessed is the name of God forever and ever who has given to us the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, his only son for us that we might have eternal life. Therefore let every man be reconciled to God, for he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth. Praise God forever.

I am confused by your comment. Are you denying the deity of Christ? Jesus was not just a man who was anointed by God. He is God in the flesh. Sin is passed down through man. Jesus was born of a virgin, therefore, he had no sin. We are born into sin because we are conceived by the seed of a human man. Before Abraham was I AM. Jesus existed before us. It is clear in scripture
