Forgetting the weightier matter is forgetting the purpose why the scriptures are written: good for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect throughly furnished unto all good works! Hence, the warfare!
  • Jonas on 1 Timothy 1 - 8 years ago
Why are people forgetting the weightier matter of paul's instruction on the Spiritual Warfare? The War according to the prophecy (the sure prophecy).
Is it because God they say Loves all and that salvation is by grace and not of works?
Where will change come in together with the melting of the elements and the love not the World and the ye are not of the world and the gospel of suffering? THINK
  • Alesha Johns on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
Based on the scripture , it is just trying to advise us that we should not praise the world and do not allow our bodies be apart the ungodly behavior. We should praise the lord thy with pure heart and clear mind
  • John T. on Psalms 127 - 8 years ago
I fill in my heart and soul, when Christ Jesus our Savior comes back to claim his bride and to bring with him the NEW JERUSALEM CITY, there will be no more pain, no more cancer, no more tears, no more sarrows, no more sting of death, no more evil, no more racism, no more lies, no more governments to LIE to US!!
JUST TOTAL HARMONY, TOTAL LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER, TOTAL TOGETHERNESS, TOTAL FAITH IN GOD
  • Whitney Reese on 1 Corinthians 1 - 8 years ago
1st Corinthians is one of my favorite books. Troubles in the church and disunity and contentions are still to this day a problem in many churches. I believe that 3/4 of our problems in the churche is pride and poor leadership in the community and church. Paul very plainly states that carnality is part of the problem. Thinking and walking in the spirit is something we need to pay attention to.
  • Rachael faith on Acts 5 - 8 years ago
Please stop it my Brothers and Sister's in Christ. The most important thing is JESUS CHRIST died on the cross for our sins. Now it's was a stalk they nail JESUS CHRIST to what is a stalk made of wood what is a tree made up with wood now it was shaped like a cross. JESUS CHRIST is coming soon we all need to REPENT of our sins. I do every day. Thank you JESUS CHRIST for savings me from those demons.
  • Nelzy on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
"and God separated light from darkness" I don't want to be part of darkness..
  • Alex on Genesis 3 - 8 years ago
Mans Carnal mind is Satans head, thats y Jesus called Peter Satan.Peter was expressing his carnal mind TELLING Jesus he did NOT have to go to Jerusalem and die for humanity,The scripture even tells us that mans carnal mind is the very enemy of GOD ( Satan ) SO thats what is gonna be bruised (deleted ) is OUR CARNAL MIND we are gonna have the mind of Christ. CHRIST FEET WERE BRUISED AT THE CROSS.
  • A Reader on Genesis 11 - 8 years ago
Once again, 'God' curses his beloved creation of man to live in separation and confusion. Why? Because people wanted to build a great city and tower to reach the sky (which is all 'heaven' refers to). If this story is true, isn't this single act by 'God' THE reason for all of the disparate beliefs throughout the world, THE reason for every conflict that has occurred? Seems a little harsh to me
  • Word on Matthew 25 - 8 years ago
Steve the church or the people in them are not Prophets, not the church your speaking of. Now there is a church that is mentioned in certain areas of scripture which is speaking of the set aside ones or the elect that were chosen before this earth age or the first earth age when Satan's rebellion took place but even those elect are here with the two witnesses, Moses, Elijah or Enoch an will stand.
  • Sandi Boat on Revelation 1 - 8 years ago
    2 Peter 3:8-10
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come

  • Brianna vs. 44-45 on John 6 - 8 years ago
These verses helps us to see that Jesus was the Bridge to his Father Jehovah. Jesus' teachings were from his father and he helped people to draw close to his Father. So really we need knowledge of Jesus Christ, AND his Father Jehovah. This way we can have accurate knowledge of the scriptures.
  • Brianna vs. 2 - 8 years ago
A role model for children! Youth today is out of control. However, with proper guidance based on God's word they can " grow in favor with God and man". Even though Jesus was the son of God he was obedient to his mother and father. He also must have been good in society, because even his community found favor with him. Parents can train their children to be the same way.
  • Brianna vs.37 on Luke 2 - 8 years ago
There are hidden gems of good examples in the Bible. Anna is a great example. Though briefly mentioned her faith was not forgotten by our Heavenly Father and she was mentioned in the gospel accounts. Though a widow and older in years, she maintained a good spiritual routine and remained active in God Service. We should imitate her example to remain faithful to God all our lives.
  • Ross on Revelation 1 - 8 years ago
I am wondering how it can ever be possible to preach the gospel to the whole world and all who are in it, if everyday we are adding babies everywhere? I am a firm believer and am ready to meet my maker and most of the time wish it had happened already. I can't seem to find the reason(s) why we are still waiting. The world is in very bad condition and getting worse each day, why does God terry?
  • Bruce on Mark 3 - 8 years ago
Dewey: Does verse 9 say, have a Boat Ready just in case they try to throng Him ? Where does it say He used The Boat? ---You said: And Jesus went out in The Boat--- what Verse or is that speculation?
  • Dewey J on Mark 3 - 8 years ago
Bruce, read the verses the scripture references that I mentioned again. The Bible interprets itself that is a well known fact often confirmed by biblical experts. there is no place in the gospel for our speculations. Praise God in Jesus holy name. Amen!

  • Rev. Autrey on John 5 - 8 years ago
The words "I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not" will only make sense if understand that Jesus and the Father are not two separate persons, but two names for the same God. It' the way God speaks of himself. See with God it's not the dividing of himself into two parts; it's name recognition. That is, the Father is God's other name. But Jesus is the name God speaks to us by.
  • Geraldine Cole on Psalms 35 - 8 years ago
Part 1/ The bible tells us this can to walk together except they agreed it also tell us light and darkness cannot agree to break this down ok how can u agree with sadan he is pure darkness there is No good in him .when a person has not accepted Jesus the devil can get in there spirit and live there that who bring darkness in a person u see the devil is a spirit he need a body to live in.
  • Brenda Erunse on Psalms 19 - 8 years ago
    Psalm 19 is sweet.
The glory of God in the heaven.
The soul of man on earth.
Every word of God is pure... Proverbs 30:5
Thy word is very pure: psalm 119:140
...sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
  • Bruce on Mark 3 - 8 years ago
Dewey, Eutychus: Jesus ask to have a Boat Ready, just in case He had to escape the people. It doesn't say He used the Boat. He just went up The Mountain and Ordained The Twelve. Mark 3: 9 -14
  • Geraldine on Psalms 91 - 8 years ago
GOD IS OUR FULL PROTECTION IN HIM WE FIND REFUGEE ....

    O LOVE YOU GOD
  • Dewey J on Mark 3 - 8 years ago
Eutychus2018, know the fact that the Bible interprets the Bible. Read v9 and 10 of Mark 3 this chapter which gives the reason why Jesus asked for and went out in the boat the people pressed on him is what the above Bible verses says. Glory be to God in the highest! Amen!

This Psalms and others over the 10 years I have been quoting them in my morning devotions, sometimes at different times of the day and at the end of the day, prove to me over and over again that God is true to His word. He will surely provide, protect and guide those of us who truly believe I. Him, serve Him in spirit and truth, apply and obey His word to our lives, living righteously and Godly.
  • Jay R on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago
I agree Helen; I feel the same way. This is why I have been quoting and reading out loud this Psalms and others as affirmation, decree and declaration for about over 10 years, every morning in my morningadevotion, with aIfew missh days here and there and see how over these 10years this scriptures come to pass in my life as They daily remind me to fear God, reverence him, obey His word and love him
