  • Joan Travick on Romans 1 - 9 years ago
Romans 1:1-2 references the scripture wherein GOD said, I will send you pastors and teachers after mine own heart. Paul's calling was a call of election by the WILL
  • Joan Travick on Revelation 1 - 9 years ago
Notice in verse l, GOD reveals HIS plans of destruction to HIS servants, not to all. Before HE destroyed Sodom, HE revealed it to Abram (Abraham); before the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus, HE revealed it to Elizabeth and Mary. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice and another they will not follow." HE has an unmistakable sound and quality to his voice. You can also see HIM when HE speaks.

    So true!
  • Joan Travick on Revelation 19 - 9 years ago
GOD's word will not return unto HIM void, it will accomplish in that to which it is sent. Rev. 19:2 - When GOD speaks, it is purposed and understood that it is accomplished. It waits for the manifestation to reveal it to man. GOD is not man, HE will avenge HIS people because vengence belongs to HIM and not to man. HE has declared: I am coming, not as savior this time but, with a vengeance.

Rev.18:3;20-24, especially vs. 21*: See Luke 17:2, Matt. 18:6, Mark 9:42 "It were better for him if a millstone were hung about his neck, and he were cast into the sea than that he cause one of these little ones to sin". I say again, GOD will not change or compromise HIS word. What society allows is not approval from GOD. GOD will never go against HIS word. HE'll bring to pass what HE's said.

Rev. 18:5-8 - GOD said HE wouldn't remember the repentant sins of a sincere heart; but in verse 5, HE says, to the wicked nation, that HE has remembered their sins
  • Elna on Psalms 126 - 9 years ago
When I think about ps.126, I think about sowing God's word into the life of others and being able to rejoice when the word begins to manifest itself in their lives. What joy to see someone give their life to Jesus....
  • Marilynn Brewington on Exodus 1 - 9 years ago
I think it shows how in the beginning Jehovah God had mercy on Adam and Eve,and how to not take people or God for granted in any way cause you will need both of them.

  • Lou Sturtevant on Psalms 1 - 9 years ago
Love Psalms. It is very enlightening.
  • Emmanuel kofie on Mark 14 - 9 years ago
The verse 9 caught my attention so much that I can't stop meditating. As Christians what good would be remembered of us by our fellow Christians and heaven as well. Does our good work please God? That is the question we should ask ourselves.
  • Sonia P on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago

Psalm 91 is one of inspiration and communion with the Lord, who we can always depend on for personal consolation, protection, deliverance, hope, and all the goodness Jesus promised us. I encourage everyone to read and meditate on this Psalm daily.
    It has blessed my family.
    GOD bless you.
  • Dejvi on 1 John 4:12 - 9 years ago
Regarding the 1 John 4:12 verse, there were people and apostles who obviously saw Jesus, the Son of God, the 2nd person of the Trinity with their own eyes, so this can not mean that. However, God said to Moses not to look at him, because he would not be able to stand the view. I surmise it is God's full glory that no one has seen or can see in the fallen human state, because no one could stand it and live. There can be no sin in the presence of God Jesus emptied himself by becoming man besides God to take on our sins .
  • Shawnita on Matthew 6 - 9 years ago
6:5-6 Do not draw attention to yourself, praying out loud and repetitive. Pray with humility and reverence, and God will draw nearer to you, hear you and bless you.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Read (again) the story of Deborah and take note of what she said to Barak. She WAS NOT to lead God's army, Barak was, but he was one of the faithless 'men'. It's plain to see Deborah didn't want to go, but to save God's people - she did.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
To J, Smith - The 8 days weren't wasted; God was in control of the situation, not man. God (Jesus) had His purpose in Thomas. There is nothing on this earth that MY God doesn't know about and isn't in control of. His purpose is in all the wars - over hundreds and thousands of years. After all - all the fighting over Israel for hundreds of yrs.; it still belongs to them!!
  • Irene123 on John 20 - 9 years ago
Jesus didn't 'say' - don't touch me because of injuries; He said, "Touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father." Rev. 22:18-19. We must be VERY careful about ASSUMING things for His word that are not documented in His word.
  • Angela a. trehern on Hebrews 12 - 9 years ago
This is such a powerful scripture! It often brings me to a place I need to be...bringing tears to my eyes. Christ on the cross dying in agony , innocent ,choosing with the deepest love possible to give his life for me, a sinner so unworthy and many times weak...I find strength and tremendous encouragement in my Christian walk in these words!!(:
  • Irene123 on Psalms 127 - 9 years ago
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord.
Jn.8:36 - If the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. HALLUEJAH!!
I spelled halluejah wrong, but that's okay - the Lord knows.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 127 - 9 years ago
Blessed is everyone that feareth the Lord; that walketh in HIS ways - His ways found ONLY in His word.
