    Hey
Debbie, I think you are absolutely right! We should have respect towards God. Just look in the first book in the Bible, all that he made was for us. :) I am grateful that we have a loving God.

    Dear Faith Coke,
Is it okay to have those things, or do we have to not have them to get into Heaven? I think you were meaning that you should not have anything above God, right?

  • Carolyn on Psalms 123 - 9 years ago
As we may be scorned. We must ask God to make us aware when we are scornful concerning others or holding them in disdain or derision. Always remembering It is Gods Mercy and Grace that allows us to be accepted in the beloved. Help us Lord to respect and pray for all men.

Irene 123 Gal.1:23 Paul is speaking of " time past " when he was, past tense in the Jews religion. He at that time in " time past" was an enemy of the Jewish believers. There were no Gentiles then and there was no Body of Christ mentioned until Christ saved Paul and poured out his grace on Paul. A whole new thing happened. The risen glorified Lord in heaven gave only Paul this new body of truth.

Proverbs 16:9 "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." LOOKING BACK OVER MY LIFE I KNOW THAT GOD HAS ALREADY ESTABLISHED MY STEPS NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I MADE THE WRONG STEPS. TRULY HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT IN MY LIFE! REMEMBER: THE LORD HAS THE BEST PLANS FOR OUR LIVES RATHER WE KNOW IT OR NOT! AMEN! GLORY BE TO GOD!!!

verse 38, we must show by the way we live that we accepted Christ. people must see you and believe that Jesus do change lives. we are ambassadors let us present Christ with our work, character, attitude and behaviour.
  • Irene123 on Joshua 14 - 9 years ago
Joshua 14: 8, 9, 14; Caleb didn't inherit his mtn. because he was a 'brave' man, nor a good man, nor a man who worshipped God; lots of people are these things, but what they don't do is - "wholly follow the Lord God." There's more to 'wholly' than most people know - or even want to know; and it's ALL found in His word. But most people don't have time to read His word; sports, soaps, etc.
  • C.Lee on Acts 2 - 9 years ago
As we use faith we should see Christ and the church that he gave his life for in a new light. God's Word ignites our hearts for worship and for reaching out to our world with the Gospel. The same Holy Spirit dwells in us and gives us power to be a light and impact in this dark world.

  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
'traditions' cont.- neither did the Acts church change because of this heresy; if you research it you will find Jesus church never died; it has always been - somewhere. Jesus would not let His church die; He wouldn't be GOD if He did; in fact there would be no God, His creation wouldn't be here, nor us. There is a God and He is true, He cannot lie.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
To M. Balathieng - nor does the word of God mentioned John the Baptist changing clothes.
  • Irene123 on Mark 1 - 9 years ago
To M. Balatiheng - Where do you see that John the Baptist at a later time ate people ate? The Bible has NOTHING to say about what he ate a ta later time. Be careful - Rev. 22:18-19.
  • Irene123 on Revelation 22 - 9 years ago
Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38; Acts 4:12; Rev. 22:4 - "..... and His NAME shall be in their foreheads." All 4 of these scriptures proclaim this ONE name of Jesus; not 3 titles (aspects) of God. Jesus Himself told His Apostles/disciples to baptize in the NAME; and in Acts 2:38 that is exactly what Peter AND the other 11 did: they proclaimed the name of Jesus for remission of sins in water baptism.
  • Irene123 on Acts 4 - 9 years ago
    V. 4 - ".....the number which heard and believed was about 5,000." Acts 2:39 or 40 - ".....about 3,000 were added to the church." These nos. sound fantastic and of course these nos. don't happen today. BUT - they do!! The church is all around the WORLD now, and these same nos. are going on today, albeit over a wider area.
  • Irene123 on Acts 3 - 9 years ago
V.7 - this healing was a 'miracle'; a miracle healing is instant. Most healings are - just 'normal' ones, BUT - they are healings from Jesus. People may say, the meds healed me. But - meds have no power of their own; ALL power is of Jesus; His is the power in the meds. Jesus healed me of flu/pneumonia recently, but it wasn't a miracle; it took 3wks. with meds and the hosp. But- Jesus did the work.
  • Irene123 on Acts 2 - 9 years ago
Does anyone on here know that it was at least15 years after Jesus established His church in Acts ch. 2 that the epistles even BEGAN to be written, the 'epistles' being all the books after Acts. So where did all the scriptures come from that the apostles and disciples use to witness to people during those 15 yrs? Answer - from their knowledge of the O.T. and Jesus' 3 yr. ministry with them.
  • Irene123 on 2 Timothy 1 - 9 years ago
To Jerry - How were you baptized? in the'words' of Matt.28:19 or in the NAME of Jesus of Acts 2:38? There is a difference. note - JESUS very words of Matt. 28:19, "baptizing them in the NAME of....." father, son, and holy ghost are His- titles; His name is JESUS. Acts 4:12 - "for here is NONE other name under heaven whereby we MUST be saved."
  • Irene123 on 1 Timothy 3 - 9 years ago
To BJ - Matt. 28:19 to Acts 2:38. Baptist churches are trinitarian; Matt. 28:19 is a oneness scripture: "..... baptizing them in the NAME of....."; this is what Peter did in Acts 2:38. Ex. 6:4 and many oneness verses from Isa. ch. 43 - 45,46. They are scattered thru theses chapters; you need to, with fervent prayer, seeking for his truth, read them.
