To Panayam - Go to any dictionary - book, online, and read what it says about the apocrypha. This is a KJV bible site.

So who are the remnant of Edom in modern times? Is this scripture prophetic of things to come? And what does it means possess?

.........................just as He uses us today to let people know of His truth for salvation - Matt.28:19; baptizing them the NAME of .....; Act 2:37-38; what shall we do?" "..... be baptized in the NAME of ....."
  • Irene123 on Esther 7 - 9 years ago
God did judge Haman - through the king. Just as He used a Persian king, Cyrus, to help His people rebuild the temple.

One really shouldn't 'poke fun' at anything in God's word. The names, if you will research them in a Bible dict., have very definite meanings in the Jewish language. They were really sacred names, even the gentiles'. God had a reason for everything He did; He was never - vacuous. Only man is an - airhead.
  • Irene123 on Esther 2 - 9 years ago
It doesn't matter at all what we think should be done in living for God; what His word says is all that matters. The O.T. was a 'teacher', 'shadow' to bring us to Christ of the N.T. JESUS fulfilled all the ceremonial laws; it's all in Him now. The O.T. MORAL laws still stand, i.e. the ten commandments, Deut. 22:5 - anything in the O.T. that was an 'abomination' - still stands.

  • Irene123 on Esther 1 - 9 years ago
We all have to have faith that is stronger than the fear of death; otherwise we won't make it. God knows our faith and He WILL test it in this life. A month ago I came down with a combo of flu/pneumonia. I was in hosp. for 7 days, sick at home a week before that. In hosp. God told me He was using me in answer to my prayers for my husband's salvation. Then I REJOICED for my trial.
  • Irene123 on Nehemiah 13 - 9 years ago
    V. 7 - Eliashib was an evil priest and he allowed sinners to use God's house of worship (Tobiah). Sin can so easily creep into the truth and 'muddy' it for those who aren't sold out for God, i.e. Lot's wife. If we are sold out for Him - NOTHING can separate us from the love of God.
  • Irene123 on Nehemiah 11 - 9 years ago
The best offerings God's N.T. people can give Him is our praise and worship as we gather together in our various houses of worship - Heb. 10:25. Our praise, worship is the fulfillment of the burnt offerings and the incense of the O.T. - which was a 'shadow' of better things to come in the N.T. We are to offer our own praise,
  • Irene123 on Genesis 23 - 9 years ago
Ps. 90:10 - this Psalm was written by Moses; he had nothing to do with Gentiles as a whole (only a very few that recognized the God of Israel and were accepted); the ages are spoken of for God's people - of which the few Gentiles were counted as. The same for ch. 91.

MONEY IS NOT EVIL ITSELF BUT "LOVING" THE MONEY IS WHAT IS EVIL, WE OUGHT TO LOVE THE LORD OUR GOD ABOVE ALL THINGS BECOUSE IT IS HE WHO GIVES US POWER TO GET WEALTH.
  • Irene123 on 1 Timothy 6 - 9 years ago
verse 7 tickles me; I can just see Paul's expression of - 'duh' - as he writes this.
  • Sharon Budworth on John 1 - 9 years ago
Great story but who is the word? This has never been authenticated, I cannot comprehend that this is Jesus because he was not born until thousands of years later. It is very confusing.
  • Irene123 on Matthew 28 - 9 years ago
To TKN95 - Bruce confused my answer to you. We know the Disciples/apostles began witnessing right away - in Jerusalem and nearby towns, but to get them to go into the then known world - Asia, Turkey, etc. God had the Romans start persecuting them so they'd leave Jerusalem.
  • Xochitl on Isaiah 26 - 9 years ago
Perfect as always, right on time
  • Lilian on 1 Timothy 6 - 9 years ago
Jesus is the only Jehova Jireh the Lord my Provider. God will supply all our NEEDS but not our wants. People who look after the money only and do evil things just to get the money this is one of the evil desire. Jesus wants us to trust his will that he is supplying our needs so that we all must have life in abundance God is faithful to his promises he will never leave us like an Orphan Amen
  • Terry L Boyd on Revelation 4 - 9 years ago
God and Jesus beliefs are as one, but two of the same spirit. This has been questioned so many times. Jesus said his Father sent him here. Jesus prayed to the Father many times. Jesus sets on the throne, but on the right side of the Father. God calls Jesus his beloved son. What through the whole thought off of who Jesus was is when he told his disciples he was God who has been with them.

Verse 24 shows that in the future no person will say that they are sick. This will be under the rule of God's Kingdom.
  • BSP on 1 Timothy 6 - 9 years ago
Money in itself is not evil but as this verse shows it's the love of money. When one has an unbalanced view towards money, evil thoughts and actions are the result.
  • Matt - 9 years ago
The land was flooded to wipe out the fallen angel progeny: Adamic race mixed with fallen angels. Some fallen angels mixed with the Gentile races and Cain's descendants. Canaan, Ham's son by incest, became an enemy to his own people by mixing with these demonic beings, and his children became known as the Canaanites. The Canaanites are a mix of Kenite and fallen angel progeny: Satan's children.
  • Bruce on Matthew 28 - 9 years ago
Tkn95,Irene: disciples went out preaching the word of God instantly after they were baptized! Jesus told them to wait until they are baptized Acts1:4-5.
Irene: they didn't know it was Jesus. Mary thought he was the gardener. Acts20:15.
  • Eliiah on Psalms 10:11 - 9 years ago
O house of David, thus says the LORD: Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries out: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says the LORD. Which imagine mischiefs in their heart: continually are they gathered together for war. Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel: My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel: You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
  • Eliiah on Proverbs 1 - 9 years ago
For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold, oppression: for righteousness, but behold a cry. Have ye not read what David did, when he was hungry, and they that were with him: How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the show bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath dayS the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless? But they counted our life a pastime, and our time here a market for gain: for, say they, we must be getting every way, though it be by evil means. Hear ye now, O house of David: Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Son of man, these are the men that devise mischief, and give wicked counsel in this city: Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the Sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the supply small, and the demand great, and falsifying the prices and scales by deceit? He is a merchant, the scales of deceit are in his hand: he loves to oppress.
  • Eliiah on 1 Timothy 6 - 9 years ago
Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD sees us not, the LORD hath forsaken the earth. Therefore let us lie in wait for the righteous because he is not for our turn, and he is clean contrary to our doings: he upbraided us with our offending the law, and objects, to our infamy, the transgressing of our education. Son of man, thou dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not, they have ears to hear, and hear not: They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth for they are a rebellious house. He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, see thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? And though they say, The LORD lives, surely they swear falsely. And here men that die receive tithes but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.

My son is a soldier in the US Army, Almighty God is his Commander In Chief. I pray this prayer over him daily trusting that God will forever hold him in in His everlasting arms each and every day! Without GOD and His Word, there is no hope. If you have never been born again, Jesus has His loving arms open....accept His sacrafice of dying for you and you will be saved😊
  • Chef Gretchel Preston on 1 Timothy 6 - 9 years ago
As a Christian in this chapter God's speaking to us When we aren't about Gods Law in Psalm 23:1, He said he'll supply our needs this means money also. But we take things out of context and used our own needs. People think God doesn't exist anymore because figure never bless them everything they have they made it happen? I say again God's not marked by our own unstanding.
