  • George V on Acts 1 - 10 years ago
The book of acts reveals Christs expectations of the apostles and in so doing us .
Sadly today I recall the words stated that many , in fact most don't know God . Superficially we know but not as the apostles and Moses did . Seems that prayer and fasting are lacking and as those apostles who came together to seek out gods instruction for them we must do the same .
  • David on Acts 1 - 10 years ago
The Holy Ghost (Spirit) is the third part of the Trinity; Father, Son, Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit will dwell in your heart if you will let Him. He is your Comforter for always. Just like God's Love and forgiveness are offered free so too is your Comforter. In the world today we need all that God is offering as we are drawing closer to The Second Coming of Christ so we must be ready to meet Christ

The Holy Ghost is a spirit that is combined in the Father(God) and his son Jesus which is also spirits And God is not a man he can't not lie. Amen
  • Carmen Redding on Acts 1 - 10 years ago
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity. In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit was sent to fill those whom God chose to use to carry out his divine plans. In the New Testament Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to dwell in those who believed. In Acts, the He is described as our Father's gift to us. He teaches, convicts, comforts, intercedes and gives us power to become like Jesus.

  • Shirley on Matthew 24 - 10 years ago
An answer to Billspiro's question concerning v.28 "For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together." The carcase has to be Jesus Christ because Jesus said we are to eat of His body and drink of His blood. This must be a symbolic figure of the burnt offering that Christ makes for us on the Cross. Rev 1:5 . We are caught up to meet Him the clouds before the Wrath of God is released upon the earth. In other words, this passage is marking the coming of our Lord. "...Immediately After the Tribulation...the sun shall be darkened... v29 ..."And they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds...And HE shall gather HIS Elect..." So the Lord is in the Clouds and we are gathered to meet Him there. See Acts 1:11, we are told the Christ will return in the clouds. The next time Christ is mentioned coming in the clouds is Rev. 1:7, which parallels Matthew 24:30. We will be with HIM there b c we are the ones to accepted HIS Carcase as a sacrifice.

Did David foresee the Lord always before his face? how come David saw the Lord because the Bible says that no one has ever seen the Lord?
  • Nene on Acts 2 - 10 years ago
Hello Mr. Robey as you read in Acts it is the acts of the Apostles which was left to us for instructions Jesus spoke in Acts 1:4-8 speaks of the power which is the spirit of God that he wants to place inside of us if we believe and obey he will fill you, now anybody that's honest with themselves will receive Jesus saying, He wants everyone to come to the knowledge of truth but not all obey.
  • C watson on Acts 1 - 10 years ago
    great
  • Nathan on Psalms 109 - 10 years ago
Psalm 109 does pertain to praying for the punishment of the wicked and is completely Biblical, regardless of your relationship or feelings about/with that wicked person. Peter quotes both Psalm 69 and 109 in Acts 1:20. This prayer clearly places the matter in the hands of our Just and Holy God. When you pray "Thy Kingdom Come" this includes the destruction of the wicked.
  • M on Acts 1 - 10 years ago
I love the fact that they all came together to pray to seek the approval of GOD before they replaced Judas with Matthias, if we would do this kind of praying and really seeking GOD way when it come to our pulpits today and other positions we would really have some really good churchs and more sinners would give their lives to the LORD.
  • William on Acts 1 - 10 years ago
This is in the setting of actions commands and administrative duties I think the apostles received revelation from the Lord as he left this planet Stadium and they obeyed and went to the upper room to receive the baptism in the fire of the Holy Ghost they were just laying foundation to begin their ministry through the Holy Spirit that's it nothing difficult thank you
  • Carol. Carter on Acts 1 - 10 years ago
    Good
  • Irene on Acts 1:1 - 10 years ago
It seems to me that as Christians we love to teach, preach and say, but to do the actions that ministry calls for are not readily being witnessed in the Body of Christ. Our witness sometimes calls for rolling up of sleeves in behalf of others. These actions speak more of the reality of Christ than words
  • HARVEY FARLEY on Acts 1 - 10 years ago

They Holy Ghost is giving to all that believe, He is a person third person in the God-head, He only comes in a ready heart and dwells in a clean temple which is your body. He will not speak of Himself but will testify of Jesus and bring all these to your remembers of Jesus what taught. I will change your language you will speak in other tongues as the spirit give utterance. The apostles were waiting on the promise from God the Father the He had Promise to give to all the believe.
  • Edwin Agbi on Acts 1 - 10 years ago
Jesus walk, talk, eat and do everything with them but His main purpose is to dwell in his followers, which is the holy-ghost he promise them. JESUS is the FATHER,the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT, and this are just tittles but the real Name is THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and beside him there is no other GOD. The name of The Almighty GOD is JESUS CHRIST.

Jesus upholds all things by the word of His power. Tarry in Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high. God is not going to give Holy Spirit to those who reject Him . Or to any one that will waste His goods !!!!

The holy Ghost was there from the begining of the world, but becouse Jesus was there and He had power over all.The Ghost was there but becouse Jesus was in presence,He had all powers. That is why Jesus commanding the power of the Holy Ghost after His presence. The trinity of God do corperate and they do respect the presence of each other.

The Holy Spirit is as real today as He was in Acts. Jesus commanded us that with the Power of the Holy Spirit to go into the uttermost parts of the Earth teaching that Jesus is the only Way to Heaven and the Power of the Holy Spirit will fill us if we ask.
