Would like to know where it tells us in the Bible that it is proper to go from Judaism to Christianity. Appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you very much.
Verse 8 is a very powerful verse i learned this verse when i was younger.Theres truth behind this and we must believe in our hearts any one who has been under the anoiting of God knows..
In Mark chapter 3, Jesus explained to them why He couldn't be crazy or possessed by the devil because He was casting out the devil. He used logic to show them that He was in His full capacity and functioning according to God's will. So, then and there the friends and family of Jesus desisted from carrying Him to the "asylum". As for the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, the warning stands for everyone and it is up to God to Judge each one's transgressions and thus will be done... And "the sword to pierce through her soul" is referred to the immense pain that the mother of Jesus felt (or will feel) at the death of her Son. She was promised a King of Jews and will have to go through her Son's death which is symbolized as the sword piercing her soul. It does not stink, it merely takes the revelation of the Holy spirit to make known the secret of the Word of God...
That means that Mary and her children changed their minds, after attempt to catch Jesus and (probably) send him to asylum, being sure that he is gone mad. That is described in the third chapter of Mark. But what about her blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which is an unpardonable sin? And what happened with the prophecy of Simeon who promised her the sword to pierce through her soul, Luke 2:35? Something badly stinks here...
Wow! ch.7 is profound amplified warning against the "STRANGE WOMAN & the STRANGER" vs 5 which flattereth with her words! Flattery makes one "feel good"! Appealing to flesh but whats wrong with "good" is it has 1 to many 0's the issue is to rather be of GOD. Again this applies behond pyhsical but also spiritual! Note false religion is out in the streets coming at you. In MT.23:15 Jesus said,"they compass sea & land to make one proselyte & make him a 2 fold child of hell.In vs.19 we see Jesus as the "goodman" gone back to heaven on a long journey, as He assended from mt.Olivet Acts 1:8-12. & vs.20 He will come back at the day appointed. Amen Jesus is coming back soon. Acts 1:11 And we see in the last vs.27 that the direction of all "works religion" Mama Babylon"s house is going to hell down to the chambers of death.
Jesus were given his disciples and followers specific commands, a kind of worldwide works that individually should follow,if truly they are an obedient followers. This is about the preaching work about the Kingdom of God and discipleship making. Please read Matthew 24:14 and Matthew 28:18,20
But most people around the world still do not know what is the Kingdom of God? And which among many religions are truly followers of Jesus, since Jesus himself warned that "many" will confess him as Lord but "will deceived many"- Matthew 24:4,5
The safest things to do is to stay at home and wait someone to knock on our door. Why? Because Jesus had specific command to his true followers, at Matthew 10:5-11 Jesus commanded his follower to " Preach the good news of the kingdom of God through house to house method, village to village and city to city." Also read Acts 20:20
Yes, if we are truly determined to obey Jesus command, We should stick to his "specific" teachings and wait until we meet this kind of people, right on our doorway. Ask them like, " Do you know what is the Kingdom of God?"
Here are some truth about the Kingdom of God:
When Will
God’s Kingdom Come?
“LORD, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?” ( Acts 1:6) The apostles were eager to know when Jesus would establish his Kingdom. Today, some 2,000 years later, people are still eager to know: When will God’s Kingdom come?
Since Jesus made the Kingdom the theme of his preaching, you might expect that he discussed this question. And indeed he did! He spoke extensively about a marked period of time that he called his “presence.” ( Matthew 24:37) That presence is closely tied to the establishment of the Messianic Kingdom. What is this presence? Let us consider four truths the Bible reveals about the presence of Christ.
1. Christ’s presence would begin a long time after his death. Jesus gave an illustration in which he likened himself to a man who “traveled to a distant land to secure kingly power,” or to “secure a kingdom.” ( Luke 19:12; footnote) How was that prophetic illustration fulfilled? Well, Jesus died and was resurrected; then he traveled to the “distant land,” that is, heaven. As Jesus foretold in a similar illustration, his return in kingly power would come only “after a long time.”— Matthew 25:19.
Some years after Jesus ascended to heaven, the apostle Paul wrote: “This man [Jesus] offered one sacrifice for sins perpetually and sat down at the right hand of God, from then on awaiting until his enemies should be placed as a stool for his feet.” ( Hebrews 10:12, 13) So a lengthy period of waiting followed Jesus’ arrival in heaven. The wait finally ended when Jehovah God made his Son the King of the long-promised Messianic Kingdom. That was when Christ’s presence began. Would humans on earth see this momentous event?
2. The presence is invisible to human eyes. Remember, Jesus discussed the sign of his presence. ( Matthew 24:3) If his presence were visible to human eyes, would a sign be needed? To illustrate: Imagine that you are traveling to see the ocean. You may see road signs directing you along the way, but once you are at the shore, standing at the water’s edge with the vast expanse of water stretching out to the horizon, would you expect to see a sign with a big arrow pointing ahead, emblazoned with the word “Ocean”? Of course not! Why have a sign to point out what you can easily identify with your eyes?
Jesus described the sign of his presence, not to point out something that humans could see with their eyes, but to help them discern something that would occur in heaven. Thus, Jesus said: “The kingdom of God is not coming with striking observableness.” ( Luke 17:20) How, then, would the sign show those on earth that Christ’s presence had begun?
3. Jesus’ presence would be marked by a time of profound troubles here on earth. Jesus said that his presence as King in heaven would be marked on earth by wars, famines, earthquakes, pestilences, and lawlessness. ( Matthew 24:7-12; Luke 21:10, 11) What would cause all this misery? The Bible explains that Satan, “the ruler of this world,” is full of rage because he knows that his time is very short now that Christ’s presence as King has begun. ( John 12:31; Revelation 12:9, 12) Such visible evidence of Satan’s rage and of Christ’s presence has been abundant in our time. Especially since 1914, a year that historians acknowledge was a turning point, has this evidence appeared on an unprecedented and global scale.
All of that may sound like bad news, but it is not. It means that the Messianic Kingdom is ruling now in heaven. Very soon, that government will exercise its rule right here over all the earth. How, though, would people know about that Kingdom in order to accept its rule and become its subjects?
The bad news we hear every day proves that good things are coming soon
Two women discussing Jesus' prophecy
4. Jesus’ presence is marked by a global preaching work. Jesus said that his presence would be like “the days of Noah.”* ( Matthew 24:37-39) Noah was more than an ark builder; he was also “a preacher of righteousness.” ( 2 Peter 2:5) Noah warned people that a judgment from God was on its way. Jesus said that his followers on earth would be doing something similar during his presence. He prophesied: “This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.”— Matthew 24:14.
As we saw in the preceding article, God’s Kingdom will destroy all the governments of this world. The preaching work alerts people that this heavenly government is about to act, giving all an opportunity to escape the coming destruction and become subjects of that Kingdom. The key question, then, is, How will you respond?
Will God’s Kingdom Mean Good News for You?
The message that Jesus preached was one of incomparable hope. After the rebellion in Eden thousands of years ago, Jehovah God purposed to form a government that would set matters right, returning faithful humans to the condition that God had in mind for them from the start—life eternal in a paradise here on earth. What could be more thrilling than the knowledge that this long-promised government is ruling right now in heaven? It is not some remote, abstract concept but a living reality!
Now, God’s appointed King is ruling in the midst of his enemies. ( Psalm 110:2) In this corrupt world alienated from God, the Messiah is fulfilling his Father’s desire to search out all who want to come to know God as he really is and to worship him “with spirit and truth.” ( John 4:24) The hope of living forever under the rule of God’s Kingdom is available to people of all races, ages, and social backgrounds. ( Acts 10:34, 35) We urge you to take hold of the marvelous opportunity before you. Learn about God’s Kingdom now, so that you can enjoy living under its righteous rule forever!— 1 John 2:17.
maybe these two? Jhn 19:39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound [weight].

15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make [them] the members of an harlot? God forbid.
16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Converted by the Second Witness on Revelation 11 - 15 years ago
Please read and understand the mystery of the Two Witnesses as the time is short. The two witnesses in the latter-days (our days) are typified by many characters in Old Testament scripture which are summarized in the book of Revelation:
Malachi 4:5: Behold, I will send you ELIJAH {first latter-day messenger} the prophet before the coming of the GREAT {awesome} and DREADFUL DAY {comet’s impact see Daniel 2: 34; Revelation 8:10, 11; 9: 1} of the LORD:
In the past type, Elijah was the first witness of his generation until the manifestation of Elisha, the second witness. Elisha asked and received a double portion of Elijah’s spirit in 2 Kings 2:9.
2 Kings 2:9 …Ask what I {Elijah} shall do for THEE {Elisha}, before I be taken away from thee. And ELISHA {typifying the Second Witness} said, I pray thee, let a DOUBLE PORTION of thy spirit be upon me.
Since Elisha received a double portion of Elijah’s spirit, it reveals how the latter-day second witness fulfills his ministry, according to the scroll of life’s first side, as well as the prophecies that latter-day Elijah should have fulfilled. This is the reason Elisha received Elijah’s mantle, as recorded in 2 Kings 2:13.
2 Kings 2:13 He {Elisha} took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him….
{Latter-day Elisha) grew out of latter-day Elijah’s church. This parallels the past type, when Solomon was as a tree’s branch that came out of the loins (rod/trunk of a tree) of David to be king in Israel (see Isaiah 11:1).
Isaiah 11:1: And there SHALL {latter-day prophecy} come forth a ROD {latter-day David} out of the stem of JESSE {typified by the father of old David}, and a BRANCH {latter-day Solomon} shall grow out of HIS {latter-day David’s/rod’s} roots:
The prophetic statement in Isaiah 11:1 is also confirmed in Revelation 5:5.
Revelation 5:5: And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the LION {originally referred to latter-day King David but is actually fulfilled by latter-day King Solomon} of the tribe of {spiritual} JUDA {typifying the U.S.A.}, the ROOT {loins} of {latter-day} DAVID, hath prevailed to open the BOOK {scroll of life}, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
In the past type, God – personifying a scroll’s record of that generation – sent the Assyrian (see Isaiah 10:5, 6) against the hypocritical nation of Israel’s ten tribes. After the Assyrian had taken the ten tribes of Israel’s northern kingdom into captivity, the Egyptians then overthrew the Assyrian empire. This spared the kingdom of Judah and Jerusalem in the south of Palestine from the same fate that befell the ten tribes, who were deported from the north of Palestine. However, God warned the kingdom of Judah in Palestine not to rejoice over the fall of Assyria, because the Babylonian will be coming to rule over Palestine, as illustrated in Isaiah 14:29.
Isaiah 14:29 Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of HIM {the Assyrian who typifies latter-day Elijah} that smote THEE {land of old Israel/Palestine, which typifies latter-day Christendom/latter-day spiritual Israel} is BROKEN {by old Egypt, which typifies the latter-day fifth reigning kingdom}: for out of the SERPENT’S ROOT {the Assyrian who typifies latter-day David} shall come forth a COCKATRICE {representing Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon, which typifies latter-day Solomon’s/Chosen Vessel’s ministry}, and his FRUIT {representing Nebuchadnezzar’s armies, which typify the believers of this new doctrine and then the great multitude} shall be a FIERY FLYING SERPENT {personifying coals of fire that follow the comet/cockatrice}.
The city of Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon did not exist until the Assyrians built it, as stated in Isaiah 23:13.
Isaiah 23:13: Behold the land of the CHALDEANS {Babylonians}; this people was not, till the ASSYRIAN {serpent’s root} founded IT {cockatrice/old Babylon} for them that dwell in the wilderness: THEY {Assyrians} set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he {Assyrian} brought it to ruin (before the people who became the Babylonians rebuilt it).
As the Babylonian came out of the Assyrian and Solomon came out of David, so the Chosen Vessel (latter-day Solomon) came out of latter-day David’s church in Waco, Texas. This is likened to Yahshua being baptized in John the Baptist’s ministry. The Chosen Vessel is the branch that came forth from the rod (Latter-day David). Just as Solomon built the temple instead of David, so the branch (second witness/latter-day Zerubbabel/Solomon) will build the spiritual temple before the comet hits the land (see Zechariah 6:12).
Zechariah 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the MAN {latter-day Solomon} whose name is The BRANCH {that bears fruit, see Ezekiel 7:10}; and HE {Chosen Vessel} shall GROW UP {from the rod/latter-day David} out of his place, and he shall build the temple {as Moses, Solomon, and Darius built the temple} of the LORD {Hayah Havah}:
Latter-day Elijah gathered followers, a number of whom now believe latter-day Elisha’s doctrine. Also, before latter-day Elijah was killed on April 19, 1993, God caused the scenario to take place at Mount Carmel in Waco, Texas, so latter-day
Elisha’s ministry would be easier to promote. Accordingly, the ministry of latter-day Elijah has prepared the way for latter-day Elisha, as prophesied in Isaiah 40:3.
Isaiah 40:3 The voice of HIM {latter-day Elijah} that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare YE {referring to the tribes of Christendom} the way of the LORD {Hayah Havah manifesting as the Chosen Vessel}, make straight in the desert a highway for our God (manifesting as latter-day Moses).
The first messenger (Elijah-type) in our day is also typified by the prophecy that seemed to refer to the new king, Eliakim, in Isaiah 22:22.
Isaiah 22:22 And the KEY {to the kingdom} of the house of David will I lay upon HIS {Eliakim’s/Cyrus’} shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
This prophecy concerning Eliakim is referring to the same Cyrus who is mentioned in Isaiah 44:28. Since King Cyrus’ decree failed to rebuild Jerusalem and her temple, it reveals how the first latter-day messenger (Elijah-type) fails to construct the latter-day spiritual temple. Therefore, as Moses, Solomon, and Darius built the temple of God instead of Aaron, David, and Cyrus, it reveals how the second latter-day messenger (Elisha-type) receives the key of knowledge to fulfill all unfulfilled prophecies (see Revelation 3:7).
Revelation 3:7 …These things saith he that is HOLY {scroll of life’s record}, he that is TRUE {scroll of life’s record pertaining to the Chosen Vessel/second messenger}, HE {Chosen Vessel} THAT HATH THE KEY {to unlock all mysteries in God’s word, see Revelation 10:7} OF {latter-day} DAVID {latter-day Eliakim/Elijah}, HE {latter-day Solomon} that OPENETH {the scroll of life with the key of knowledge, see Revelation 5:5, 6}, AND NO MAN SHUTTETH {with their wrongly-fitting key of error}; AND SHUTTETH {when latter-day Solomon does not reveal/open God’s mysteries with his key of knowledge}, AND NO MAN OPENETH {with his or her key that does not fit the figurative lock of written prophecy};
According to the song (testimony) of old Moses, he brought out the Israelites from Egypt, constructed the temple, fed the people, gave them laws, and led them to the Promised Land, (see Deuteronomy 32:2).
Deuteronomy 32:2 My {Moses’} doctrine shall drop as the rain {to ripen the spiritual barley, wheat, and fruits}, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:”
Today, the new doctrine of latter-day Moses is sung from the scroll of life’s first side. The people who accept latter-day Moses’ song (doctrine) are also able to sing the song pertaining to latter-day Moses, as prophesied in Revelation 15:3.
Revelation 15:3 And THEY {first and second latter-day groups of redeemed} sing the SONG {new doctrine} of MOSES {latter-day Moses, see Deuteronomy 31:30} the servant of GOD {seventh angel}, and the song of the LAMB {sunlight-ministry of latter-day Yahshua/Lamb who manifested according to the prophecy in Acts 1:11}, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, THOU {latter-day Chosen Vessel/Elisha/Yahshua} King of {the three latter-day groups of} saints.
This is a case of instruction, Jesus tells the apostlle what to do, testing their obedience once again, making them total witiness of his commands, because He needed some one to carry His words to the people, that after He ascencded back into heaven.
Paul speaks of eating anything one wishes to eat. There is no judgment on this. Casting lots would not appear to be any type of gambling in this sense. It's not my belief this verse of scripture whereby the Holy Spirit is soon to visit would start out with the respondents committing the sin of gambling for decisions on such matters.
Lee, I would not want to promote the church in that day as a business. Today, unfortunately it can be. I don't consider what they were doing here in this chapter as "gambling". I think they were making a hard decision, simple. They felt the two were the same in merit and deserving of this empty post. Casting lots was merely a decision maker. As far as the other part about your Jewish friend and the pork; I am happy that he is a Christian, but being raised a Jew there are certain things that he may keep too. As long as he believes in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice, the rest isn't that important. Would you look at a gentile Christian friend of yours who may be a vegetarian in that same light? Probably not, but it really is no different. Just my opinion on it all.
dis is really encouraging. I'm starting to read my bible again cause da lord only asks that we obey him and read his words and i want to thank him for giving me the courage to read again
This not to promote confusion But so many people are against the casting of lots They say it is a form of gambling but to me any business is a gamble and is gambling wrong if we use it to promote our well-being and others also I know the bible talks about access to many things but does not totally condemn many things we do today For instance I had a Jewish Rabbi friend who was a Christian He could not draw himself to eat of Pork Lets No Judge but I would like some comments on the subject
I reads as if God gave the Apostles power first and then the Holy Ghost came afterwards.

Revelation 3:7 …These things saith he that is HOLY {scroll of life’s record}, he that is TRUE {scroll of life’s record pertaining to the Chosen Vessel/second messenger}, HE {Chosen Vessel} THAT HATH THE KEY {to unlock all mysteries in God’s word, see Revelation 10:7} OF {latter-day} DAVID {latter-day Eliakim/Elijah}, HE {latter-day Solomon} that OPENETH {the scroll of life with the key of knowledge, see Revelation 5:5, 6}, AND NO MAN SHUTTETH {with their wrongly-fitting key of error}; AND SHUTTETH {when latter-day Solomon does not reveal/open God’s mysteries with his key of knowledge}, AND NO MAN OPENETH {with his or her key that does not fit the figurative lock of written prophecy};
