Discuss Daniel 9 Page 7

  • Daniel - In Reply - 3 years ago
Amen Juarez. The problem is, many in the modern church haven't read Daniel or about Bible prophesy well. The "no rapture" or "the rapture is simply the 2nd coming" even replacement theology which is like a plague in this discussion all come from heretic doctrines.

One of the strongest proofs of a Pretribulation Rapture is the event of the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet in Daniel 9:27 and then again by the Jesus Himself in Matthew 25:15. This is the event when the Antichrist will claim to be god from the temple in Jerusalem, and demand that the world worship him or be killed. From this blasphemous event, it will be exactly 3 1/2 years until the Lord's SECOND COMING ( 2nd Thessalonians 2:4).

Since the Bible plainly states that no man knows WHEN the Rapture will occur ( Matthew 25:13), we must conclude that it will be a Pretribulation Rapture, because we DO KNOW it will be exactly 3 1/2 years between the abomination of desolation and the SECOND COMING.

1st Thessalonians 4:14-18, "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

All Christians will be removed from the earth at the Rapture. However, the Bible teaches that sinners will be saved after the Rapture, during the Tribulation Period ( Revelation 7:14). We read in the Book of Revelation that the Beast will make war against the saints ( Revelation 13:7). These will be people saved during the 7-year Tribulation.

    Douglas Borchard,

This prophecy gives the precise time of the first coming of the Messiah. You will receive different understandings of this, it is a study that will take much time. this is just a little information you may use to help your study.

Many put the last week of this prophecy at the end times. It is used for the 7 years of tribulation, a peace treaty with the antichrist (he in verse 27) for 3 1/2 years then 3 years of great tribulation with the taking of the church somewhere between (pre, mid, post).

"Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, (70 weeks, 70 x 7 = 490 solar years or 483 prophetic years) on the house of Israel (Daniel's people) and the holy city (Jerusalem). It started from "the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem", make a note, that the rebuilding of the temple is not in this prophecy.

Here are a few verses that may help your study and if this prophecy has been fulfilled or not.

    1. To finish the transgression Isaiah 53:5, 8 Isaiah 53:11 Hebrews 9:15-18

    2. To make an end of sins Matthew 1:21 Hebrews 10:8-11 John 1:29 1 Corinthians 15:3

    1 John 3:5 Psalm 32 Romans 8:3

    3. To make reconciliation for iniquity Colossians 1:20-22 Isaiah 53:6 Isaiah 53:11 Ephesians 2:16 ( Titus 2:14 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

    4. To bring in everlasting righteousness Romans 5:17-21 Romans 3:21-26 1Peter 2:24

    2 Corinthians 5:21 Isaiah 61:10-11

    5. To seal up vision and prophecy Daniel 9:23 John 6:27 Mark 1:14-15 Acts 3:18

    John 5:36-40 Matthew 11:11-15

    6. To anoint the most holy Hebrews 8:1-12 Hebrews 9:6-14

The six things that were determined on Daniel's people and the holy city in this 70-week prophecy; did the Messiah/Jesus fulfill?

    God bless,

    Hey Bro dan,

When in Matthew 24 the apostles asked Jesus about the destruction of the temple and the end of the world (age) the first thing Jesus said was "Take heed that no man deceive you". I agree with you the rapture theory as taught is a big deception.

My understanding, 1 Thessalonians 4 along with Daniel 9:27 and parts of Mathew 24 and other scripture taken out of context has been used to create this theory of being taken out and up to heaven to be spared the great tribulation. The wrath of God and the great tribulation is wrongfully considered to be the same. The comfort in 1 Thessalonians 4:18 is they can be comforted they will not keep those who have died from resurrection day.

Paul tells us in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 Jesus will not return until after these two things happen. In this same chapter, in context of the end times God sends a strong delusion and the reason for it, in verses 8-12. My understanding, this points to Revelation 3:10 and also Revelation 13:11-16. God said He will keep us from this temptation that is coming not from being killed, the death of this flesh body. Our hope is eternal life not this corruptible flesh life.

There will be some that survive this time that is coming but we see in Revelation 13:7-10 and other scripture most will not. It is taught that this gathering of the saints Jesus takes us to heaven but scripture does not support that, I have not found one bible verse that says we ever go to heaven but the bible does say we will reign on earth and God will dwell with us and we will be His people, Revelation 21:3.

    God bless,

More examples how the men of God took the written word of God literal on most occasions.

Daniel 9:2-3. In the first year of his reign I Daniel UNDERSTOOD BY BOOKS THE NUMBER OF THE YEARS, WHEREOF THE WORD OF THE LORD CAME TO JEREMIAH THE PROPHET, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

"Here Daniel responds with prayer to what he found in scripture and took literal."

Daniel 9:25-26. we have a prophesy of the coming of Lord "as King"fulfilled to the day and the death of the Messiah and destruction of Jerusalem. "Literal "

They, ( the Jews ) was held accountable for not knowing the "TIME" of his visitation.

    See here.

Luke 19:42-44 (KJV) Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; BECAUSE THOU KNEWEST NOT THE TIME OF THY VISITATION.

Daniels prophecy and estimation was to be taken literal.

Please keep in mind this thread is to refute the notion that the whole Bible is a parable as one mentioned.

    God bless

    Richard:

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week....

This is talking about Christ confirming the NEW COVENANT.

From his entering into Jerusalem (Sunday)on the colt of and ass (prophecy) to his resurrection to LIFE (Sunday), ONE WEEK and the covenant was confirmed.

.......and in the midst of the week (the day he was crucified) he shall cause the sacrifice (old covenant) and obligation TO CEASE, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate (no LIFE other than the LIFE OF CHRIST), even until the consumption, and that DETERMINED (judgement) shall be poured out on the DESOLATE (those not having THE LIFE OF CHRIST).

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice (old covenant) shall be taken away, and the abomination of desolation SET UP, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.

THREE and ONE HALF YEARS, Christ ministry in the flesh. FIRST COMING.

Daniel 12:12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and COMETH to the one thousand three hundred thirty five days (PENTECOST), Christ ministry in the Spirit. SECOND COMING.

Revelation 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues shall see their dead bodies (sinful flesh, dead in trespasses) three days and a half (Christ betrayal to Christ resurrection) and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in the graves.

Revelation 11:11 and after three days and a half (laying in the grave with Christ) the SPIRIT OF LIFE from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet (these whose names are written in the BOOK OF LIFE, once dead, Now have THE LIFE OF CHRIST, and great fear fell upon them that saw them.

Revelation 20:9 Blessed and Holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection.

    God Bless YOU!

That is a very interesting question. Surely; we could see wars; rumors of wars; famine; pestilences; etc. along with persecution increasing in the past century to record amounts. Part of what I'd say is that there is an inevitability to the frequency increasing in the limited time of the Tribulation; whereas now while the restrainer remains prayer can allow for things to slow down; and the gates of hell will not prevail against the church as a whole; whereas afterward the saints WILL be overcome in the Tribulation.

The great falling away; or apostacy is going to be accompanied with the collective wish for a world leader and for world peace; which will be appearing to occur with the Daniel 9:27 covenant being confirmed. To be convincing enough; there will have to be some sort of worldwide currency. I would not be surprised if there is briefly one which has a gold or silver standard as China; Russia and India are competing with such reserves backing up monies now; and eventually our dollar will tank; since it isn't backed by anything. This will probably be part of the "dividing the land for gain" and certain actions of the Antichrist to consolidate wealth. That would also likely necessitate Israel being a big part of it with their natural resources being utilized to the maximum extent. It also would be part and parcel with the rapidly forming one world religion sort of combining Christianity; Judiasm and Islam which is being planned with some new centers in I believe Dubai which the Papacy is involved with. Jesus warns the Day of the Lord comes at a time we don't expect.

With all this; we see the significance of the first two world wars and other major events of modern history (including the ability to destroy the whole world with nuclear weapons). We need to keep in mind the seriousness of the Seal Judgments often underplayed compared with the later ones. Jesus Himself opens the seals; after the Rapture as I see scripture.

    1 Thessalonians 4:17

Hello, I'm not sure death would be the right word for it, but maybe transformed into a spiritual body and maybe being stripped of the old earthly body. The scripture says we will be caught up in the air, but the rest is my own personal belief which everyone seems to have a different view of and the speculating isn't a salvation issue. God bless.

No, I'm sorry but the rapture does exist. Modern theologians started denying it about 20-years ago as a new replacement theological trend. YouTube videos and false doctrine social media "preachers" have been misleading people on this in the last decade.

The Church will be removed from the earth BEFORE the appearing of the Antichrist ( 2nd Thessalonians 2:7,8). There isn't one verse in the entire Bible which indicates that the Church will go through the Tribulation period. In fact, if you want proof of a Pretribulation Rapture, you'll find it simply by studying the Bible. If we compare Scriptures having to do with the Translation of the Church (i.e., the Rapture), with those passages relating to the setting up of Christ's Kingdom, one can only reasonably conclude that it would be utterly IMPOSSIBLE for these two events to occur simultaneously. Let's look at some of the comparisons:

Matthew 25:31,32 - "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory. And before him shall be gathered all nations" Carefully notice that Jesus is going to sit upon His throne in Jerusalem when He returns, and the nations of earth will be gathered before Him to be judged. How can this fact be reconciled with 1st Thessalonians 4:17, which states that the saints will be caught up together to meet with the Lord in the air?

If people stuck with the simple prophetic truths in the Bible and stopped listening to internet preachers...all this denial about the rapture, tribulation, 2nd coming, etc...wouldn't have become so contrived and over inflated. I see the modern church reaching a contradictory point of twisting Scripture and confusing masses to the point of eventually just denying everything.

Hello Anthony, I was wondering if your comments was to invite others to tell about who God is (a deep and inexhaustible matter) or if you were stating that "God Is" as a statement pointing towards His self-existence and along the lines of Him being He is Who He is as in Exodus when He told Moses His name was I AM WHO I AM (YHWH) which alludes to His self-existence and absoluteness of Bring.

Let us know so we can respond better to your post.

The subject of prophecy is complex and as a new Christian 40 years ago something that was often on my mind. The basic crux of theory as to the last generation was that 1948 with Israel becoming a nation in a day ( Isaiah 66:7-8) which was prophesied meant that that was the beginning of that generation. Well; it is 2022; and with Psalm 90:10 pretty well showing the length of a generation being 70 years or 80 at most we are already going to go to at least 2029 before the 2nd coming. (Interestingly the second part of the Psalm 90:10 about "labor and sorrow" do sound like labor pains; but also could just show the natural end of life for the individual.

Anyway; some say that the fig tree parable assures us of 1948; or perhaps 1967 when Jerusalem was recaptured. That was under the assumption of a 40 year generation when I was a young Christian. Many forget the second part of the prophecy about ALL the leaves ( Luke 21:29 and other gospel passages). This would tie into the land of "unwalled villages" with the Ezekiel 38 war as well; and the prosperity in the land. It would seem that oil and natural resources are beginning to be the "hook in the jaw" for many-whether Russia is Gog; or Turkey and other nations who may fit the bill better. Anyway; it seems that Psalm 83 who discuss the surrounding nations (such as Palestinians) and perhaps Syria would show a war with the surrounding immediate neighbors; and the Gog/Magog the outer perimeter. Probably; the Gulf nations will have prosperity first for a time after Israel begins to expand their borders; and share the economic prosperity with other nations. The peace treaty ideas starting a few years back seems to have the beginnings of Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 11:39 "dividing the land for gain" with all the land and money brokering. It could all happen between the first and 2nd seal but it seems it will be before that.

For now; judgment begins with the House of God. ( 1 Peter 4:17). Keep the faith! Agape.

The spiritual term for God's commandments is "precepts." We are not told to serve God by the letter of the law but we are always responsible for seeking to honor and obey God's precepts. The KJV translates the same Greek word as "commandments" and "precepts."

    Daniel 9:5

We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

    Daniel 5:1-21,

    Important Daniel 5:22,

References to the treasure taken 2Kings 25:13-17, 2Chronicles 36:7,10,18, & other places in scripture

Daniel 6, Daniel lives through another king, supernaturally

Daniel 7, & 8, Daniel has a dream & visions, that are referred to as prophecy,

Both Daniel 7 & 8, take place during Daniel 5, or beforehand, while that same king was in rule.

Daniel 9, is during reign of Darius, note: Daniel 5:31, Daniel 9:1,

Daniel 9:2, the prophecy of punishment for Israel was at time of completion

    Daniel 9:3-19, Daniel humbled himself

Daniel 9:20-27, divine intervention also prophecy explained

Daniel 9:24-26 Jesus CHRIST the MESSIAH,

Daniel 10,11, & 12 continue, Daniel 10, Cyrus king, another divine intervention & prophecy followed by Daniel fasting & prayer

Please notice Daniel 10:10-14, Daniel 10:18-21 continues through Daniel 11:1, he also strengthened Darius, note how it starts as a finishing thought & Darius was the king that was tricked into throwing Daniel into the lions, Daniel 6, distressed, alienated possibly then was he supernaturally confirmed & strengthened.

Daniel 11:2-45 continues prophecy from previous, into Daniel 12, all three chapters are following through.

That is enlightening so see that you have thought out this issue. It is certainly plausible that there are TWO seven year periods; and that the Antichrist may appear to be Christ to the world solving their problems after that event with the time period stated to clean up. The problem with this is that there are too many parallels between Armageddon and this event (hail; fire and the realization that the God of the Bible is truly Lord to Israel and the world). There are notable differences; mainly the lack of mention of the Antichrist with these warring nations. The best response is that this is two different campaigns going on; the setup is the "rumors from the North and East" mentioned in Daniel 11:44. Thus; the final battle starts with a conflict between these nations and the armies fighting with Antichrist that move across the Euphrates and consolidate in Mediggo where so many past conflicts have raged; and I believe Napolean himself predicted would indeed be the place of the ideal geography for a major war in the future. As in the past; however after the encroachment from the north in Ezekiel 48; those who consolidate in Armageddon will attempt to fight Jerusalem where "half the city will be taken" according to Zechariah. THEN they will start fighting each other and ultimately as they see Christ returning each other. The final phase therefore will be all those who the 3 angels deceive to fight Christ Himself who have taken the mark. Antichrist may rule the whole world; but surely some will attempt to resist; and the fact that one sixth survive from the Northern army ( Ezekiel 39:2) shows that they indeed DIDN'T take the mark of the Beast; or they would have also fought Christ at Armageddon. Some will in fact return the prisoners as other verses indicate; this makes the Battle not the same as AFTER the 1000 years with Gog and Magog. I could be wrong-it is clear that Israel is NOT living securely with unwalled villages yet. It may after Daniel 9:27.

Whether one holds the pre, mid or post tribulation rapture viewpoint, almost all agree on one thing: there are "seven years set aside by God" for prophetic events. These "last seven years of this age" are commonly called "the tribulation" or "seven years of tribulation." This concept is derived from a prophecy in the book of Daniel. The angel Gabriel came to Daniel and gave him the prophecy.

First, the verses from which the prophecy comes. Daniel 9:22b-23 "O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand. 23 At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision:" and read Daniel 9:24-27 Understanding of the prophecy.

    Richard,

The end-times are strictly 5-6-7 seals and trumpets that unfold within a generation. We're staring down the sixth seal/sixth trumpet, our demise, not past seals that don't apply. The context is off.

There are resurrections, but no man made "rapture", Ezekiel 21:1-4 "both the righteous and the wicked die". Luke 17:34-37 "Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together"; they are dead.

Revelation 6:9-11 The fifth seal saints were told when their brethren, the 144,000 Revelation 11:7 who died like they did; that judgment of those on the earth will be done at the seventh trumpet when time is up. They OT saints were told to rest "a little season", which lasts from the fifth seal through the seventh trumpet. At the end of the thousand years, the devil is loosed "a little season" as well, Revelation 20:3 God and satan have balance because the devil is a counterfeiter.

Daniel 9:27 is about the last week of the 70 week prophesy.

Jesus received 3.5 years of power the first half of the week and was cut off in the MIDST of the week. Then, at the sixth trumpet, day of the Lord, comes a beast surprise attack on Israel (both houses), at which time anti-christ places the abomination that makes desolate (nuclear for one, invasion for the other), beginning his 3.5 year reign of terror. At the seventh trumpet, Jesus Messiah is standing on Mount Zion with His army of resurrected saints.

Turkey, by description, is one of 3 nations in the beasts confederacy that gets plucked up by anti-christ. He takes the nations surrounding Israel, and ironically, mirroring the 'greater Israel project'.

    The fifth trumpet started tribulation

The sixth trumpet starts the great tribulation.

The seventh trumpet Jesus, returns to destroy the sixth trumpet army.

Since you seem like a faithful person I am grateful that you are indeed concerned on the issue as only one other comment so far seems to exist on this format on this event.

I am not entirely convinced that there will be an immediate mideast regional war; and certainly not that the seal wars will commence; at least not BEFORE false peace; and the Daniel 9:27 covenant is enacted. Of course there is no guarantee that our nation will be here at least as we are now BETWEEN now and the rapture. If we are Babylon; or not it would seem that with individuals from every tribe; nation or language will be represented in the faithful group of martyrs in the 5th seal; and later in heaven. Perhaps the man of sin is identifiable to those who are discerning now before the 1st Seal and our departure.

I am not sure what is on the block list in my original statement that I was going to say. I would just say that the Russia's leader has been right on many comments at least partially; in regard to our own nation's hypocrisy; and with his support of the Orthodox church there and in league with Syria; the Lord allowed that effort to end a conflict that was poorly handled as to our allies at the time. He has also supported the Jews at least in comments in the past-basically it is more of a nationalistic effort than communist as in earlier years. He has been correct on things that we have done to some extent with subterfuge; and on comments as to our acceptance of the gay lifestyle and other things that no doubt the Soviets had in their propaganda designed through media to decay our society a generation or more ago.

I would watch Turkey as many have warned it has 300,000 men which can fight-they are loosely allied right now with Russia but they clearly are a major player in the Ezekiel 38 war; and perhaps precursor skirmishes eventually leading to the wars in the Tribulation but the FIRST SEAL of false peace must come first.

    Hey Aaron,

Sorry, it took a while to reply, I was just pointing out how Revelation is written, and I do not agree with the interpretations you listed.

If I may tell my understanding on what you listed, not to debate or to say one of us is right or wrong. The 7 years that many uses as part of the rapture theory are taken from Daniel 9:27 with the rapture of the Church, then the antichrist, the first 3.5 years of peace, then breaking it with the abomination, and the last 3.5 years of great tribulation.

You say Jesus had the first half of the week and the antichrist the last half of the week. I assume you are referring to the same week from Dan. 9:27. My understanding the prophecy of the 70 weeks given to Daniel has been fulfilled, all of it and cannot be placed at the end times. Daniel 9:24 was determined on the house of Israel and Judah and Jerusalem, and the six things that were determined were fulfilled by Jesus.

On Rev.9 the US army and Muslims? No one is killed, the harmed are those without the seal of God, that would be worldwide not just in one area. They may bomb Iran it has happened before, but Israel, India, and Pakistan have nuclear weapons now.

What countries will be involved at the end; scripture does not tell us. Today it might look like it could be this country, tomorrow it may look like that country. Leading up to World War 2 who do you think people thought it was. Many believe the Church will be taken out before, I do not. I have an understanding of prophecy that if it starts today, I will know and I am ready and will not be deceived, and we have this Revelation 3:10

I love studying prophecy, the Holy Spirit illuminate's scripture every now and then, but I also have found there are things not yet revealed and we can get engulfed looking for the pieces of the puzzle that God has not given us yet, He will in His time. We should be fully alert to our world, with our lamps lit, walking as today is the day.

    God bless,

These verses clearly indicate the period of time stretching from the Tribulation into the judgment immediately after into the beginning of the 1000 year rule of Christ on earth.

The first four verses show that once Antichrist and his armies are done with the work God has designed them to do through His Divine counsel to totally break the remnant of the saints (as Daniel states); and to bring national repentance for all who enter the Millennium; He will cause the same fate to be given to Israel's enemies as what they performed on them.

The next couple verses may indicate either those individuals trusting in God and or the future fulfillment of the peace of Israel following the time of Jacob's trouble. Verses 7 through 8 once again show the false peace and the effects on those in league with the Antichrist with the Daniel 9:27 covenant and the bewilderment following his betrayal. Verses 10 through 12 seem to indicate the "thorns" or tares who are in Armageddon and burned up with God's fierce indignation; while 13 through 17 show the characteristics of those who can dwell with "everlasting fire" (v. 14) with the answer in the following verse; which shows the characteristic of a Godly man. The rest of the chapter is clearly a Millennial promise for those who have endured the terror (v18 and 19) in the Tribulation; v. 17 shows how the throne of Messiah in Jerusalem will be visible from far away; verses 20 through 24 show the effect of physical healing and the permanence of His tabernacle where He shall rule throughout the 1000 years; with perhaps a literal description in verse 21 of waters from the throne much like that of the end of Ezekiel where the waters will make the Dead Sea be full of fish and partially freshwater (except for the borderline in the reeds). Such an intrusion of waters already is being observed with life in the Dead Sea showing this time may be very near indeed.

The descendants of Ephraim were said to be related to a son of Joseph with Asenath who was given to him by Pharaoh. Apparently, Manasseh was one of the descendants; and they were involved more with the Northern Kingdom and later disbanded. In any event; wherever the 12 tribes are in Israel today; the final treaty with "death and hell" (no doubt the Daniel 9:27 treaty)

(v.18) will be broken. Surely the cornerstone in verse 16 when ignored will bring Antichrist; and Christ Himself warned that they would accept one with his own name ( John 5:43). Their attempt to bring about a king; no doubt of Messianic Davidic decent will be brought to fruition with the bad fruit of this imposter. It is hard to say if the general drunken state will bring about the spiritual seduction that is implied here with the false prophets in verse 7 directly resulting in this deception; or if there is a general lack of discernment forseeing this event.

Verses 18 through 20 show the destruction coming; and the rest of the verses could have harvests that have a hidden meaning as to the firstfruits; then Christ at His coming comparing the rapture and later resurrection(s) to harvests-this is seen perhaps best with the barley harvest being first; and a wheat harvest (Tribulum) being a different process thrrough the fire as it were to extract the good grain. Other verses show the grape harvest; the trodding down as in Armageddon; as the final one; corresponding with bowl judgments in some respect.

This chapter shows how the King of Assyria was to overtake the land before Isaiah's son was beyond toddler stage and take their wealth (verse 4). This could very well allude to the final "Assyrian" mentioned in Isaiah 10; and other passages that describe one of the names for Antichrist. As in other chapters in the book of Isaiah; judgment is clearly given due to people's lack of fear in God alone (verse 13). Verse 14 singles out both houses of Israel (likely the northern and southern Kingdoms) who reject the Rock of Christ for protection hence He becomes their enemy. The confederacy in verse 9 through 12 may very well also allude to the Tribulation where trust in the Antichrist and the confederacy of nations in the Daniel 9:27 treaty will become a trap for those trusting in this peace plan to protect them from attack. Their destruction after attacking Israel is clear in verse 9.d God's hidden status toward Israel in verse 17; and the children God has given "me" in verse 18 has been explained as a veiled reference to those raptured who were "given to Christ" as those the Father chose to be redeemed. The rest of the passage in verses 19 to 22 once again demonstrates the view of those "earth dwellers" ( Rev. 11:10; 13:8; etc). The unregenerated unprotected from the seal judgments and those to follow will curse both "their king and their God" (verse 21); much like what occurs in descriptions of the bowl judgments in Revelation.

They are as the last verse in this chapter indicates "driven to darkness". Our only hope is Christ; and we must be saved from our fallen state in THIS lifetime; once our soul separates from our body it is too late to change.

    Hi Wilma Smith,

There is in Daniel 7:4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

Some take prophecy and symbols like animals and put things together to fit theories about end times. Some put Great Britain and the United States. The Lion represents Great Britain, and the Eagle wings represent the United States of America. Bear means Russia, the leopard means Germany, the chief battle tank of Germany is the leopard tank (Panzer), and more.

Like the wings in Revelation 12:14, you can see in Exodus 19:4, this may give a better understanding of the term used. This could not be referring to either America or airlift by the United States. It has a meaning of caring for the young (children), like what Jesus said in Matthew 23:37.

There are seven-year periods for different things in the bible like seven-year Sabbath, seven years of plenty and then seven years of drought Joseph was given and more, but the seven years that have been placed at the end times is a theory, not in scripture. It is taken from Daniel 9:27 which in my understanding has been fulfilled. You will find only 3.5 years, 42 months, and 1260 days.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless,

I understand "Son's of GOD presented themselves before GOD" to mean= they prayed notice Job 1:5, "offered burnt offerings" then vrs. 6._._._ the accuser came, Revelation 12:10,

Dear "Bobbie J Ricks". There is no end to the blessings of reading and studying the Word of God. Actually, I do not want anything else. But then it is the body that demands its. And I understand that the joy and love we have received comes from God through Jesus Christ, and now today as then in the Holy Spirit.

So read, go on a journey of discovery, in the book that makes all ppl come alive! It's just for everyone and address as much as they want. Fill yourself with the Truth.

But also remember and pray the prayer that Jesus has taught us.

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Look in Galatians chapter 1 and 2 as well God bless Hallelujah.

Be greatly blessed in the Word my friend, love you in Jesus Christ
