Willis43, to the best of my knowledge, 1 John 5:7 was part of the original manuscripts known as the "Textus Receptus" which was used to translate the KJV. It has always been a part of the KJV. Some modern bible versions omit 1 John 5:7 because they are translated from a different and contentious set of manuscripts called the "Alexandrian Text". The basic reasoning for using the Alexandrian Text is based on the idea that they are older than the Textus Receptus. However, it has been proven that the Alexandrian Text have over 2000 errors.

If you are interested in hearing more about how the KJV came to fruition, I highly recommend the audio series by Michael Gowens. It can be found on the "Sovereign Grace Publications" website in the "Sermons and Audio Resources" tab page 2. The name of the series is "A Tribute to the King James Bible on it's 400th Anniversary". I would include the web address but I don't know if it is allowed on this wesite.

I have a question about 1 John 5:7. Was this verse added later on, or did it exist from the original Aramaic Bible?

For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. ( John 5:22-23).

God would without the intercession of His Son condemn us all to hell as we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

The fear of God however is the beginning of understanding ( Prov. 9:10; Psalms etc). By the terror of God we persuade men ( 2 Cor. 5:11); but also the love of Christ constrains us ( 2 Cor. 5:14) just THREE verses later. So therefore we need both as with medicine what is toxic and unpleasant brings healing.

A healthy fear of the Lord for a believer should characterize their lives to shine as salt and light drawing men unto Himself. This is still the same God who we fear in regard to destruction of our souls; but as it involves those who have been saved and sealed with the Spirit it is an AWE for His presence and that always is accompanied by a love for His presence and commandments.

One mistake I have seen by those who wish to share the Gospel is to find some way to drum up fear through a dramatic description of hell and the sufferings in store for the unsaved individual. This can usually only result in a fear of the CONSEQUENCES of sin; which isn't any different than what Judas Iscariot felt for unjustly causing the death of what he only could see as an innocent man; not the Son of God who came to save the lost. The opposite error is presenting the Gospel as some formula which is supposed to produce an intended result. That result only occurs when the Holy Spirit takes hold of a man and remakes him from the inside out and thus causes genuine repentance as a desire in men's hearts whereupon action is taken.

Finally the type of presentation as to whether verses on love and mercy or warnings of God's severity are more emphasized depends on the recipient. Both ideas are vital.

Christ the Perfect Man (Day 3 Part 1)

My last post brought out the fact that indeed Gentiles were part of God's plan; and we can further see this in many other O.T. scriptures ( Isaiah 49:6; etc). Man's pride couldn't square the suffering servant made so clear in describing Christ's first coming in Isaiah 53 as characterizing the Messiah. They even denied that their heritage came from people that were enslaved numerous times in their history! ( John 8:33). Even if they called Him teacher being a good man wasn't enough to save them from their sins; but of course when He made such claims they called it blasphemy! ( Luke 5:21).

Let's do an introductory overview of Christ's many itineraries which He had to fulfill the purposes God intended in His ministry. Some of these things are unique to Him but certainly lessons can be learned as to how we plan our days in service to the King.

    1. Doing all things the Father willed. John 5:19 perhaps sums this up the best. In His mission there was the inevitable death on the cross on His mind following a perfect sinless life; albeit brief walking on the earth for 33 or so years as the perfect Man. ( Luke 9:22 and many similar verses in the Gospels).

    2. Salvation by forgiveness of sin was a theme that overrided any of His miracles; nonetheless there is no clear statement that everyone He healed became saved. (see John 8:45 with deliberate disobedience in His command not to start a media "circus" as a result of healing). It was imperative that Messiah forgive men's sins but then they would have to realize that He was indeed the "I am" ( John 8:48-59 further on in the passage of John quoted above).

    3. Coming to display obedience to His family before the predestined time to reach full manhood and the onset of public ministry.

Jesus had no obligation to be obedient in this way; and it was not in order to simply give in to His parents wishes but to do God's will. He was the perfect worker; brother and son.

John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Isaiah 52:14 "As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:"

Belief in the Son was emphasized even by John the Baptist as a second witness as Jesus started His public ministry ( John 3:23-36). Nonetheless He often hid who He was; particularly early in His ministry ( Matt. 16:20 may be a later statement to this affect). As stated in my last post He often told people to tell no man about who did a miracle ( Matt. 8:4) so He didn't want any necessary noteriety. Those who didn't have eyes to see and ears to hear ( Matt. 13:16) simply thought He was a Prophet; or good man at best; or an illegitimate child to Mary ( John 8:41).

Given these facts and the blindness of man without the revelation of God ( 2 Cor. 4:4) we shouldn't be surprised by the world's expectations of a superman or bermensch as Neche called this individual. Men who didn't see the Lord as coming to save rather than destroy men were blind to their own state. They should have realized who Christ was regarding the clear prophecies particularly in Isaiah 53. There was a reason for the delay in what indeed will involve Christ coming to destroy His enemies and establish His Kingdom on earth; and some Jews seem to have the concept of two different figures to make sense of apparently diametrically opposed characteristics of Christ as suffering servant and conquering King.

The fact is that God planned it so the nation of Israel would be blind in part until the fullness of the Gentiles came in ( Romans 11:25). Given the fact that Naaman the Syrian and the widow who Elijah helped to feed and raise her child to life were Gentiles (Jesus enraged the Pharisees mentioning that God exclusively met her need at the expense of many others with similar situations that were Jews at that time ( Luke 4:25) was important.

Grace is not unmerited favor, it is the spirit of conviction your heart to obey. (G5485) it's NOT "legalism" it's LOVE (1 John 5:3) We've got to be obedient to his 2 covenants of promise (10 commandments and rainbow covenat "eat clean") thats what Christ(Yeshua) magnified and made honorable, just like his very own character and life was pleasing unto God(Yahovah) he opened the door for all nations to enter that covenant verbally presented and agreed to at the rock at Horeb, and *then* written in stone at Mt Sinai. but Israel had already transgressed that agreement ( Exodus 19 & 20) when Moses came down with the 10 commandments in writing. *then* the sacrificial law was added until Christ(Yeshua) would finish the punishment with a perfect sacrifice, effectively restoring the original covenant (10 commandments.) Moses prophesies about ending the punishment of the sacrificial law here in Deuteronomy 18:15-19 but never did the eternal 10 comandments go away. now because the 10 northern tribe were scattered into all the world via mixing seed(mixed offspring) the covenant is open to ALL nations and people. I really wish people actually read this book most have it wrong, with many false gospels and dangerous doctrines of men and demons, mixing holy and profane, teaching traditions as commandments while tossing out the actual commandments, ( Matt 24)

He does reveal himself in a more "noticeable way" if only we knew what to look for... the churches have done a less than poor job of this however, Christ (Yeshua) did explain it. ">If ye love me, keep my commandmentshe shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth< whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." Do Christians lie about the Bible ? ?

Who should we trust with the word ? ?

    Romans 3:4

Godforbid: yea, letGodbetrue, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightestbejustified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Are we responsible to know the Bible ourselves ? ?

    John 5:39

Searchthescriptures; for inthem ye think ye have eternal life: andthey arethey which testify of me.

The biggest liar in the world is the devil himself as Satan.

    John 8:44

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is aliar, and the father of it.

There will be people with great education and decrees and will look very rightous , but deceive many .

    Ephesians 4:14

    That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait todeceive;

Deception is only going to get worse and we are living in it right now.

    2 Timothy 3:13

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and beingdeceived.

If we can't trust man , then who do we trust ? ? Most people will say " I trust Jesus Christ ". But how ? ?

    Proverbs 3:5-6

Trustin theLordwith all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

We all have to trust God in His word.

    Ephesians 1:13

In whom ye alsotrusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Now, after you have trusted God, where do you go from here ? ?

    2 Timothy 2:15

Studytoshew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth nottobe ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

What is the greatest sin to God right now ? ? Unbelief . . God's chosen people are in Unbelief right now, but there's Hope.

    Hebrews 3:19

So we see that they could not enter in because ofunbelief.

The reason why we have Unbelief right now, it's because the word of God is Spiritual. We must worship God in Spirit.

    John 3:12

If I have told you earthly things, and yebelieve not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

Jesus Christ wrote the Whole Bible, that means we must believe with all our heart and soul.

    John 5:47

But if yebelieve nothis writings, how shall ye believe my words?

The Jews still couldn't believe Jesus in the flesh, how can we believe his words, by Faith alone.

    John 6:36

But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, andbelieve not.

If they believe not in the beginning of time and want to betray Jesus, they are doing the same with Apostle Paul's epistles .

    John 6:64

But there are some of you thatbelieve not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

We have a choice to believe God's word.

    John 8:24

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if yebelieve notthat I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Apostle Paul always writes to believers. Remember, Jesus Christ is ascended in Heaven. If Jesus Christ didn't have the Godhead, he couldn't of died on the cross, it would of been impossible.

    Philippians 2:5-6

5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Because of the sinful flesh Jesus Christ had, God was in Christ Jesus as one.

    2 Corinthians 5:19

To wit, thatGodwas in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us thewordofreconciliation.

Jesus Christ was the voice and Word in Genesis .

    Genesis 3:14-15

14And theLordGod said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Jesus Christ spoke in Genesis about bruising Satan's heel.

    Romans 16:20

And the God of peace shallbruiseSatan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Jesus Christ was always the Son of God and took on flesh by the virgin Mary.

    John 1:14

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Jesus Christ is our Saviour God.

    Titus 1:3

    But hath in due times manifested hiswordthrough preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandmentofGodour Saviour;

    Jesus Christ is the Word.

    1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, theWord, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

May we all believe that Jesus Christ is a Man, Sevant, King , Saviour, and our God in three persons.

    The mind of the Spirit

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. ( Proverbs 14:12).

When we view the life of Christ; it seems few emphasize that doing the will of the Father in heaven was the most important thing ( John 5:30; see also John 5:19). This explains why Christ did few miracles in his hometown and didn't use His own Divinity to shortcut God's plans as Satan tempted Him to do during the 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness where the Spirit Himself led Christ immediately after His public Baptism and before He started His ministry picking the Disciples.

It is difficult to understand sometimes; but at times God simply removes individuals through death or being taken out of our lives before we can witness to them and it is also hard to see those who we have opportunity to share our faith with time and time again not making any steps toward Christ in repentance and receiving the message. We should eventually grow in wisdom to God's ways in regard to that; but also never allow that to stop us from seeking those who are indeed open to the Gospel on our daily errands as well as taking the time out for just evangelism whenever the Lord gives us opportunities.

From my own experience I am learning how every moment God answers many prayers almost immediately just with those we encounter who God gives us resources to help either financially or with food for example; or guides us each day with the time and wisdom to get things done (having attention deficit makes things like that especially clear due to my own disorganization and lack of certain skills). Just being in certain places can enable the Spirit to hold back evil; or give us the desire to pray for others we don't know or encourage others in our path. I am not very organized in scripture reading either but meditation on the Word helps us bring it up in times of need and stress and to share with others.

May we follow the Spirit's leading this week.

The reason some don't believe the trinity is because they don't believe the scriptures and they don't believe Jesus Christ is God.

When you read this verse, Jesus Christ is the Word. The three are one and that means trinity.

    1 John 5:7

For there arethreethat bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and thesethreeare one.

Jesus Christ is the Word and the Word is God.

    John 1:1

In the beginning was theWord, and theWordwas with God, and theWordwas God.

Jesus Christ the Word became flesh on earth.

    John 1:14

And theWordwas made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Remember that Jesus Christ is the Word of God.

    Matthew 24:35

Heavenandearthshall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

    Matthew 28:18

AndJesus cameandspake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me inheavenandinearth.

Jesus Christ said that He is God.

    Matthew 22:32

IamtheGod of Abraham, andtheGod ofIsaac, andtheGod of Jacob? Godis nottheGod ofthedead, but oftheliving.

Jesus Christ said that the Father in Heaven is one with Him in the Trinity.

    John 10:30

    IandmyFatherareone.

Jesus Christ is our great God and Saviour.

    Titus 2:13

    Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

    Jesus Christ is the Godhead.

    Colossians 2:9

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh.

    1 Timothy 3:16

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Ray, in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 God died for us on the cross.

    Some more comments on deliverance

Acts 9:16 is typical of the overall experience; more or less of Christians; in this case applying to Paul specifically. 2 Timothy 3:12 is in a similar vein along with scores of other scriptures; many from the Lord Himself. The prosperity gospel not only convinces people to take up a sinful lifestyle expecting God to be a cosmic genie; but it also robs a believer of the sanctification process where TRUE spiritual rewards can be attained through being refined as through the fire ( 1 Peter 1:6-7). Therefore whenever calamity or distress occurs we attribute it to Satan; and in some sense do the opposite error of Job who attributed things to God that Satan was allowed to afflict him with and thought God had abandoned him. That view of course is also wrong; but expecting somehow to escape the admonition of 2 Timothy 3:12 seem to ignore the word ALL which doesn't seem too difficult on a surface level to comprehend.

We should remember Christ Himself even when he healed sickness due to sin didn't withhold deliverance; but admonished to go and sin no more ( john 5:14) so that something worse doesn't happen; in the case of that individual likely that would be death and eternal judgment. Let us not forget the blind man whose condition wasn't due to sin in John 9:3; neither he NOR his parents had some generational curse involved in that particular illustration.

How sad to think that someone who is in poverty is somehow not trusting God enough; and no doubt many of these megachurches miss out on opportunities to help individuals in their own midst in needs even if there are charitable efforts where some help is given. I think I can say without too much risk of error that the church is already at the point of judgment overall.

In general therefore true movements of God are not going to have a prominent public display; and we only need to see this in the life of the Lord who wasn't interested in attention from a sideshow.

Hello Timmywynne. There are many Scriptures that point to the Triune Nature of God, and specifically, that Jesus Christ & the Holy Spirit are revealed to us from the very Being of God the Father. When we think of the Trinity, we know we won't find that word in the Bible, as it is purely a descriptive word of what the Bible declares to be the fullness of God's Being. So to the verses you seek, and you will need to read them fully in your Bible.

    Of Jesus Christ: Isaiah 9:6,7 (an Old Testament Prophecy); Micah 5:2 & John 1:1-14 (from everlasting); Matthew 1:22,23; Mark 2:5-7; John 8:56-58; John 16: 27,28; John 17:4,5; John 20:27,28; Philippians 2:5-7; Colossians 1:15-17; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16; Titus 3:13; Hebrews 1:1-3; Hebrews 1:8-10; 1 John 5:7; 1 John 5:20.

    Of the Holy Spirit: Matthew 12:31; Luke 1:34,35; Luke 11:13; John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:7-11; Acts 5:3; Acts 8:29; Acts 13:4; Romans 8:14; Romans 8:26,27; 1 Corinthians 2:10-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19; 1 Corinthians 12:11; Ephesians 4:30; Hebrews 10:29; 2 Peter 1:21; 1 John 5:6.

The above are a few Scriptures that point to the deity of Jesus Christ & God's Spirit: all showing that they don't work independently from God, but have been sent out from God, from God's Being, to accomplish His Purposes in the world. And we know that Jesus, as the Word of God clothed with humanity, is the very expression of God to the world ( John 14:9; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 John 4:2). Hope these will help you in your study of this very important doctrine. Blessings.

The Elephant that is thirsty for water.

Searchthescriptures; for inthem ye think ye have eternal life: andthey arethey which testify of me.

Jesus Christ died for all of us to have eternal life in the Heavenly Places .

    2 Corinthians 5:15

And that hediedforall, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him whichdiedforthem, and rose again.

Now that Jesus Christ finished everything and nailed it on the cross , we are to live in His resurrected Life today and not focus on his fleshly walk.

    2 Corinthians 5:16

Wherefore henceforthknowwenoman after the flesh: yea, though we haveknown Christ after the flesh, yetnow henceforthknowwehimnomore.

Jesus Christ wants us to focus on things ahead, like his resurrection.

    1 Corinthians 1:17

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but topreachthegospel: not with wisdom of words, lestthecross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Jesus Christ wants us to love one another in the Holy Spirit.

    1 Corinthians 16:24

Mylovebewithyou all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

A elephant can find water miles away and other animals will follow. The Bible is water of life, Jesus Christ wants us to find His word today .

Interpret - explain meaning of, understand

Understand - perceive the intended meaning of (words, a language, or a speaker).

"he didn't understand a word It said"

We are to interpret the Bible, or understand what it says. Not to come up with our interpretation, we are not to change one word of the Bible. We are to read it and understand it. You'll need a dictionary Oxford when there an English word you dont understand. The word lost is used in the New Testament, in one case its unable to find one's way; not knowing one's whereabouts.' and there other is ' 'perish, destroy'' .

World, all, end, made, lost are words that are in the Bible and use different definitions. We can't understand it all if we don't know the definitions are being used. KJV is not hard, Thou is You, Thus is this.

    No man hath seen GOD.

seen, not to perceive with the eyes but seen discern or deduce mentally after reflection or from information; understand.

'How GOD fully works remains to be seen'

Old English son, of Germanic origin; related to Dutch zien and German sehen, perhaps from an Indo-European root shared by Latin sequi 'follow'.

    1 John 5:7

For there are three (Literal:1,2,3 of them. Jesus prayed to God Our Father who art in Heaven on earth) that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (figurative truth: One in unity by agreeing, One in the fact they were there at the beginning, They are God Gen 1:1 Elohim GODS, Eternal)

Thanks for your further comments Woe. It is correct that "Abraham obeyed my (God's) voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws" ( Genesis 26:5). But when did all these commandments, statutes & laws given to Abraham? If God covenanted with Abraham concerning blessing, inheritance, & multiplication of his seed (as per the Genesis references I gave previously), where in Scripture do we find that these Laws (particularly the Decalogue) was ever given to Abraham? Could these laws, commandments & statutes be different to what was given at Mt. Sinai, regulations that pertained specifically to Abraham's life & direction he was to take? Not to say that something of the Mosaic Law would not be included in that giving to Abraham, but we are not told specifically what was given, therefore we are not at liberty to assume or presume (which is a fundamental biblical rule).

No, Jesus doesn't "tell all men to keep God's 10 commandments". He was speaking to the Jews who were under the Law - Gentiles & the Church never received the Law & were never brought under it. Where we find in the NT about believers needing to obey God's Commandments (as in 1 John 2:3, 1 John 5:3), it is spoken as to those not under the Law but under the Law of the Spirit. And the Holy Spirit will certainly bring before us God's Commandments, and many, many more than the few in the Decalogue that pertained only to Israel who had long forgotten the God of Israel when in Egypt ( Exodus 3:13,14). The Ten Commandments were given to a discouraged enslaved people who had lost all knowledge of God & His requirements - given to them to show God's Standard of worship & godly living, but ultimately to reveal to them their sin, their need to trust & hope in the Living God & their need of a Savior.

    Hi KathyP,

There are different understandings of this, the most important thing is when we die, our destiny is fixed, either eternal life given through faith and the grace of God or the second death. S Spencer has given you good information on the judgment seat of Jesus that we see happen in Revelation 20:4 this is after Jesus returns and the battle of Armageddon and the beast and the false prophet are cast into the lake of fire and Satan is locked up for the 1000 years.

You can study Revelation 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 about these events. If we have a different understanding of the white throne judgment has nothing to do with our salvation, when this white throne comes down the earth and heaven are fled away. The first resurrection will be the chosen, and faithful who will reign with Christ for the 1000 years, Revelation 20:6.

The second resurrection is the rest of the dead, Revelation 20:5 the reason for my understanding that the white throne judgment is not for just the lost is Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. To me, if some names were not in the Book of Life there were some whose names were in the Book of Life.

Another reason is Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. John 5:28-29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

These verses are talking about one resurrection, not two, this is the last resurrection, and this to me points to the white throne judgment. We also have 1000 years between the two resurrections, many will live and die and those who are saved and those who are lost will be judged at this white throne judgment.

    God bless,

    Hi KathyP.

Scripture gives us a reason not to judge one another: "For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. . . . So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God" ( Romans 14:10-12, ).

We (Believers) will all stand some day before the judgment seat of Christ.

The judgment seat of Christ involves a time in the future when believers will give an account of themselves to Christ so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad" ( 2 Corinthians 5:10).

    (This Judgment is not forunbelievers.)

You sew an example of this in Luke 19:11-26.

Jesus taught in His parable, the king is going to return, at which time he will require an account from his servants.

The judgment seat of Christ does not determine our salvation; that matter was settled by Christ's sacrifice on our behalf. ( John 5:24)

The judgment seat of Christ is different from the Great White Throne Judgment.

That will be the final judgment of the wicked prior to their being cast into the lake of fire ( Revelation 20:11-15). This will be unbelievers.

KathyP I believe this is clearly what the Bible teaches, however some may disagree so this may lead to further discussions.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

    Hey Peyla,

As S Spencer has said this is not about salvation, through Jesus we have the gift of eternal life. Please do not be confused, the truth is in the Scriptures with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Many are looking to be taken to heaven before the great tribulation of Satan, the beast, and the false prophet.

We all will be judged Acts 17:31 Hebrews 9:27 2 Corinthians 5:10

There will be two resurrections; the first is when Jesus returns, after Satan, the beast, and the false prophet have their 3.5 years of tribulation, Revelation 13:1-5 Matthew 24:29-31 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5.

When Jesus returns with His angels, the first resurrection, the battle of Armageddon, the beast and the false prophet are cast into the lake of fire, Satan is locked in the bottomless pit and Jesus will set up the kingdom, and those chosen, and faithful who are first resurrected will rule with Jesus, Revelation 16, 17, 18, 19. After the battle, in Revelation 20:5 we see Thrones and judgment is given to them who were in the first resurrection and given the honor to reign with Jesus during the 1000 years.

We see in Revelation 20:5-6 the rest of the dead lived not until after the 1000 years and the blessing on those who will be priests of God who will reign with Jesus in the millennium on earth, not heaven. There will be different rewards for the saved who will live in eternity with God and Jesus.

In Daniel 12:2-3 we see some will shine greater than others and also, we see those in this resurrection, there will be those who will awake to everlasting life, and some who will awake to everlasting contempt. We also see in John 5:28-29 and Matthew 25:31-46 what we see in the white throne judgment, Revelation 20:11-15 the rest of the dead, some will go into eternal life and some who are not found in the book of life is cast into the lake of fire.

There is much more to study, you should study for your conscience, we must not be deceived Matthew 24:4.

    God bless,

    Hi Pelya.

    Consider these verses.

Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Romans 6:23. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

John 1:29 "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Pelya have you received Christ as your Lord and Savior?

If so, do you think the blood of the God provided Lamb was adequate? Yes it was!

Christ took your place on the cross and God didn't spare him.

Christ was Judged in your place.

For you to be judged again, Christ died in vain!

John 5:24 reads "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Believers will be judged for their works AFTER salvation NOT "for salvation. 2 Corinthians 5:10, 1 Corinthians 3:14-15.

Pelya Eternal life is something you have NOW, it's not something you get later!

The same Spirit that saves you, it also seals you! Ephesians 4:30.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, Jude 1:24.

    God bless you.

1 John 5:15 - in my opinion supports asking for anything. It doesn't mean God will say yes. But if done in faith, and if genuine and not a selfish request then I think its likely to be a yes. I personally have prayed and I thought I checked both boxes and was denied. This can feel devastating to someone's faith at times. But we don't know the answers to everything. There is suffering in this world, especially as Christians. We aren't here to have everything totally comfortable and to serve us.

For example, a friend prayed for safety for racers before a race and someone ended up dying. That was a total shock to me. It was an unselfish prayer for people's safety but that prayer wasn't answered as a yes that particular time. The Bible says our life is as a vapour, so I think our real life is after this life.

    Biblical Greek Perspective

    (Acts Part 26):

Acts 10:46 - For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. This will be the second of three places in the book of Acts where it talks about people, under the influence of the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues.

The word "tongues," GLOSSA in the Greek, is the word for language, a known language. All of those that were in Jerusalem at the time of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came, every one of them heard the disciples speaking their own language in which they were born.

God gave them the ability to speak in various languages, not having any ability to know that language. In Acts Chapter 10, they spoke in languages. They are not talking about some "mystical gift" or some "babbling noise." That's why the believing Jews were saying "we're astonished." You've received the Holy Spirit just like we have. What confirmation do they have of that? It's that they all spoke in the 70 known languages of the world. Interesting!

Acts 11:16 - Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Then remembered I the word of the Lord. Peter said when this happened, I remembered how that He said, and the word "said" in Verse 16 is called an Imperfect Tense meaning the Lord said it many times.

Acts 11:17 - Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

Forasmuch then as God gave them the "like" gift. The word "like" in Greek means equal. It is the word ESOS. It means equal and it is the same word used in John 5:18, "Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill Jesus because He not only broken the Sabbath day, but said also that God was His father, making Himself "equal" with God."

    Equal, the same, nothing different!

    Hi Tewmardew,

I am sure we all have thought about that, but it is hard to answer. We have a loving and just God wanting all to come to Him and be saved because He gave His only Son for the redemption of sins. Some may say no since the only way to the Father is through the Son but what about those who never had the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus?

All of us have a conscience and the knowledge of good and evil, some get to a point of no return and God gives them over to a reprobate mind, Romans 1:28. Some go so far into evil that their conscience is seared with a hot iron, 1 Timothy 4:2, they do not know good from evil. I do not know if you have ever met someone like that, but you can see cold darkness in their eyes.

If we read Romans 1-16 it is not the hearers of the law but the doers of the law for they, have it written in their heart and their conscience bears witness. Our conscience records all we have ever done or thought. I believe this is about those who have heard the gospel and those who did not have a chance to hear it.

Many take the great white throne judgment as for the lost only, but I believe this is for those who are not in the first resurrection, Revelation 20:4-6. My understanding is the great white throne judgment goes with Daniel 12:2 John 5:28-29 Matthew 25:31-46 and Revelation 20:11-15.

As it says in Revelation 20:15 all that was not found in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. So, to me, this is all the rest of the dead Revelation 20:5 if some were not found, some are found in the Book of Life. Some who lived before Jesus first came and some after Jesus came who never heard the gospel, their conscience bearing witness, will be found in the Book of Life. As we see in John 8:9 Acts 24:16 Romans 9:1 2 Corinthians 1:12 1 Timothy 3:9 Hebrews 13:18.

    This is my understanding.

    God bless,

Going to heaven-how can I guarantee my eternal destination?

    Answer

Face it. The day we step into eternity may come sooner than we think. In preparation for that moment, we need to know this truth-not everyone is going to heaven. How can we know for sure that we are going to heaven? Some 2,000 years ago, the apostles Peter and John were preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to a large crowd in Jerusalem. Peter made a profound statement that resonates even in our postmodern world: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved" ( Acts 4:12)

Many people today hold to a watered-down gospel that does away with the need for repentance. They want to believe in a "loving" (nonjudgmental) God who never mentions sin and who requires no change in their lifestyle. They may say things like, "My God would never send a person to hell." But Jesus spoke more about hell than He did about heaven, and He presented Himself as the Savior who offers the only means of going to heaven: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" ( John 14:6).

Who will actually enter God's kingdom? How can I guarantee that I'm going to heaven? The Bible makes a clear distinction between those who have eternal life and those who do not: "He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life" (1 John 5:12). It all goes back to faith. Those who believe in Christ are made the children of God ( John 1:12). Those who accept Jesus' sacrifice as the payment for their sins and who believe in His resurrection are going to heaven. Those who reject Christ are not. "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son" ( John 3:18).

Bible says there is one and only one way to heaven-Jesus Christ. Follow Jesus' command: "Enter through

    Q&A "parables"

Q: Was not Jesus using the Parable of the Sower to present his Father as 'the Word was God'?

A: Parable was his way of separating the corruptible seed from the incorruptible seed. Peter's epistle qualifies this process as 'born again' and separates the incorruptible from the ungodly world,, "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."(1 Pe.1:23). This is according to the will of God ,the unseen world and how it was made to appear? By his word, is it not? "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."(1 John 5:7,1). Whosoever believes,"that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. " Father Son relationship is built about the word. It also explains "the only begotten Son," status, He is the firstborn since it was the word of God that framed the world where the fullness of God is made to appear. Framing a painting to hang in a gallery to show off the excellence of the artist is one way of putting it.

Each believer has a volume. Heaven bears blessing upon the seed thus sown by the word of God. God gives a body to the herbs trees,- "And the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself," has to show by the fruits whether it be good or bad. Israel would not bear the seed so Jesus said,"But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up"(Matt.15:13).

But what is the firstborn? According to the covenant a believer's world is as promised by God in his Son and it ought to show by fruits. This is explained by the term firstborn. "Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn."(Ex.4:22-23) Pharaoh's first born of the corruptible seed. "Israel failed so parable was one way of separating the unteachable from those whose heart still showed some promise.

    Q&A "Fulfillment"-1

Q: "The Fulness of God is in the Man component but formatted as a testimony of Jesus Christ. What does does it intend to achieve by giving differing POV?"

A: Jesus as the Son of man testified, "If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true." ( John 5:31) But as the Word that was with God he could assert, "Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yetmy record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go." ( John 8:14). The core value for this Revelation is the Fellowship of God with Man because of which as the v.1 states,"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, " and the angel serves as a witness. Moreover in signifying it through his angel unto his servant John, "Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ" (1:1-2) the law validates it as the truth.

In arranging this last book we can pinpoint the Law , the Son "after our image" and John "after our likeness" supplying their own POV so both heaven and the earth are equally pressed into service. Without setting the everlasting covenant as the rest frame the unseen world of the Father subsuming the world made to appear the testimony shall be severely damaged. Much of the visual motifs, vocabulary of day, night, seed ("the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself," separation of light, gathering of seas are derived from the covenant. Not to mention the significance of numbers the seven days pertain to the Law of the Spirit. God is a Spirit, the Son after "our image" serves as the inner man where the soul is the quickening aspect in the makeup of man. "The heart of the wicked is little worth.(Pr.10:20)
