If God only chose a few how can you be sure you're one of them being that it has nothing to do with faith or the foreknowledge of God?
Never mind those who reject God all together. We know their fate.
The bible has a lot to say about being deceived.
When examining Matthew 7:13-23 we see a call to enter in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Why are you told to follow the straight and narrow gate if you have not the ability to see it.
And how would you know you are not on the gate that leads to destruction?
Is it because your works?
Look at verses 21-23. "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
The scripture says "Ye shall know them by their fruits and God giving faith "The faith of Christ" is a fruit of the spirit and is given to believers by the Holyspirit being in them. This is baptism by the Holyspirit and it comes after one is saved.
John 7:37-39 sums it up. "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
We are chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world by the foreknowledge of God.
There are those who doesn't think so. They believe that "BELIEVING' is an act of works.
However, throughout scripture it suggests otherwise.
John 5:40 And ye will not COME TO ME, that ye might have life.
John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him COME UNTO ME, and drink.
HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Revelation 22:17. And the Spirit and the bride say, COME. And let him that heareth say, COME. And let HIM THA ATHIRST COME. (AND WHOSOEVER WILL), let him take the water of life freely.
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
That if thou shalt CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:8-9
The invitation also went out to Israel!
BUT THEY HAVENOT ALL OBEYED THE GOSPEL. For Esaias saith, Lord, WHO HATH BELIEVED OUR REPORT?
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. Romans 10:16-18.
It amazes me that some say God is done with Israel because they didn't respond to the call, but they say there is NO response necessary for the Church.
Paul answers that in Romans 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
There is another group that believe that God only gave ears to hear to a few. "the elect" and the rest of those God loves is left to enter everlasting fire. Makes sense?
Calvinism relies on telling a few clever lies to convince their followers of their distorted teaching. The Bible itself refutes their ideology in the following examples:
Did Jesus die for all, yes or no?
1 John 2:2 says YES
John 3:16 says YES
1 Timothy 2:4-6 says YES
2 Corinthians 5:14 says YES
Romans 10:13 says YES
1 John 4:14 says YES
But Calvinists say NO
Scripture saying Jesus did NOT die for all:
[none]
The Word of God says Jesus died for "all" and the "whole world" and "everyone" in those verses above. All means all, and the whole world means the whole world, and everyone means everyone. But cult teachings will try to twist this and say all does NOT mean all, and the whole world does NOT mean the whole world, and everyone does NOT mean everyone. It's like the serpent in the Garden of Eden who said you shall NOT surely die. It's obvious who is on what side by how they either affirm or denounce the scripture.
Those who disobey and intentionally deceive others from the truth put themselves in grave danger of God's wrath.
The 2nd big lie told by some is that people don't have freewill to do anything whatsoever. Some contradict themselves by saying they still sin but isn't their fault, while others say they don't sin at all and are perfect like Jesus, an obvious lie that 1 John 1:8 makes clear. Verses like Joshua 24:15 that say for you to choose (Calvinists deny this means you're not choosing) or for you to open the door (Calvinists deny this means you're opening the door) Revelation 3:20 , John 7:17.
The biggest lie I hear many say about others- they claim others are trying to EARN their own salvation. That lie is straight from Satan. They know its a lie but will spread it anyway. They know that 99% of Christians believe in grace and believe it is a gift, not earned. But just because they believe God gave them a gift of choice like Joshua 24:15 says, they suddenly claim their motives are to "earn" heaven. So dishonest. Beware of wolves!
We pray dear Joyce and we thank you that you have come to the knowledge of the truth in the holy name of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah praise be to God Almighty! And thank God for His great grace towards us and giving us the great privilege that we can sit in solitude and ponder His Word, read His Word, Praise Him to whom all glory belongs! Without being disturbed, that is great. We also thank You, dear God the Father, for all spiritual resistance, for we can hide in the holy blood of Jesus Christ on Calvary. Thank You for making it so. Heb 4:12 Thank You for carrying us through the battles, Jesus. For You have all power in Heaven and on Earth. We pray to Father in Heaven that You hear from on high, Thank you, Jesus, for taking up the fight for the souls of Joyce. Almighty God Father and Creator. And heal all her wounds from childhood and adolescence. So they are gone once and for all! Never remember them with pain again, just acknowledge that she is a child of God, Amen in Jesus Christ's Holy Name.
Stay on the website with us, it's a good start. Put on the full armor of God every day. And remember that the Lord never disappears from you. It is you who must bow down, seek Him, confess your mistakes and shortcomings. He will heal you from the inside out, you will see! Don't feel it, because God is not emotions. John 7:17
Call upon the blood of Jesus the next time you feel a struggle in the Spirit, it shall be so. But that does not mean that it shall be maintained by us. Jesus shall come to the rescue. We're going to throw it at Jesus Christ. He will take it. And until then, be meek, read the Bible and get to know Jesus every day. Remind Him and your self of His words. For example Psalm 18:2
And even though Jesus is a Living God, He has also been here on Earth with us. And knows all the things that we struggle with. He is the perfect conversation partner. Good luck and be strong and courageous, He is with you all days until the end of the world. Love u, 1 Pet 1
Hi Pandakraft. You can check out the following Bible passages: Matthew 7:1-5; Luke 6:37; John 7:24 (when we do have to make a judgement, it needs to be done righteously, i.e. correctly considering the whole matter without being censorious. See also 1 Corinthians 6:1-5 for judgement in the Church); Romans 14:1-13; 1 Corinthians 4:3-5; Colossians 2:16,17; James 4:11,12.
Dear friend. Thanks for the answer and you're right, I was probably a little eager to contribute. And then it gets a little weird. Sorry. I don't have the patience of an angel to teach. Since I am far too impulsive in most of what I do. We are all so different! Isn't that good? Some people for encouragement, some people for reflection, some people for inspiration and so on. I don't know if you can exactly define a person as I am often perceived, but I try. (super optimist) Of course I have learned a few lessons. Since we are these different people in God's universe. So there is only one thing to hold on to. What you first learned from Him. What may not always be what you yourself want, but because the Lord wants. We can resist for a long time. Then I think of Jonah and others. I found out early on with the Lord that before a test, I always found a lot of obstacles. Absolutely terrible in fact! There are stories I don't even want to mention. But this is where I stood against. Never proud, but humble and trembling. Because it is right before God. John 7:17 became my words. And to remind all of you who take the time to read. Then there is never a mistake, that is when we learn to walk with the Lord. It is much worse not to try and do a good deed for the Lord. We are not talking about the flesh now. For in the flesh live those who act from their own ambitions, their own interests, those who want to defend themselves. For the Lord knows the heart and knows what lives in ours. It cannot fail. He is always with us. If anyone should think that one should make such a mistake that their name would be erased from the Book of Life. Can one believe that the Lord does not defend His children? Takes them home before the children can perish. Of course He can! Therefore we live in a time Grace upon grace. Because He is in control. Got some nice words for you today "Richard H Priday". Believe it or not, I've tested them. Mark 11:20-24 Not my will but the Lord's will, Amen Christ love
Thank you for your reply, I certainly do not mind. I understand that this subject is delicate, and I am blessed to have brothers and sisters on this site willing to discuss it. Revelation is a challenging book, and I am looking forward to Jesse getting through it.
You have listed some exciting verses, and I hope to share my thoughts on them and your post, not to determine who may be right, but rather to view the discussion as a nudge to pray and study. On the verses you listed, John 12:49-50, Jesus is saying the Father gave Him a commandment and what the Father told Him to say, Jesus was obedient.
John 8:28-29, the Pharisees were debating with Jesus who He was, and He said that in verse 28-29 when He is lifted up/crucified, they will know who He is. We see in Matthew 28:54 when Jesus died and those things that happened, the centurion and those who were there greatly feared and said, "Truly this was the Son of God.
John 7:16-19, the gospels, reveal the glory of the Father who sent Jesus; all that Jesus did was accomplished by the Father through the Holy Spirit, with which Jesus was anointed without measure.
In John 4:34, John 5:19, John 5:30, and John 8:26 all say that it is the Father, not Him, on in John 14:10 Jesus was in the Father and the Father was in Him this was from the time Jesus was anointed without measure the Holy Spirit when He was baptized and made the Messiah.
Jesus was and is the Word of God; John 1:14. God was in the flesh in Jesus through the Holy Spirit, just like these verses say. The beginning in John, many understand it as the beginning of creation, my understanding is the beginning of Jesus' ministry, as we see in Mark 1:1, Luke 1:2, and 1 John 1:1.
To me, Jesus was the first in the plan of God, Revelation 3:14, and everything was created in Jesus, not by Him, and all was created for Jesus and the purpose of the Father. Revelation 13:8 and 1 Peter 1:18-21.
Dear Almighty God Father and Creator. We thank You for our lives and the lives of our children. Let the little children come to me, says Jesus. Do not hinder them. Oh Jesus you see our children what they struggle with and what they experience. And the ripple effects of their sometimes rebellion and defiant spirit Jesus. We pray for our children that they truly understand and obey their parents, for this is good. We thank You for Your great mercy towards the family of believers Jesus and that You stretch out Your hand to save the little innocents in the holy name of Jesus Christ John 7:17
Heavenly God and Father You who are forever. Thank you for being faithful to us and being patient with us. You see our struggles under Heaven. And know about all our worries. Thank you for seeing the family of "Shelly". We comfort ourselves in You, Lord. And You do what is just and right. We thank you for the life Jesus Christ we all have in You. And that You stretch out Your hand to help in time of need. Amen in Jesus' Name. John 7:17
Testemony: Then I met an old friend who excitedly explained to me that he had been saved. He asked me to come to a meeting. In my gratitude, I thought, yes, I can try and get saved. My life felt completely finished anyway, so maybe I can try it, I thought wistfully. I had no laughter or joy of any kind, in my life. Everything was just heavy. I didn't really believe this. But the meeting was supposed to be right after New Year's. But I was afraid I would forget the invitation so I wrote it on the calendar. It was 09.01.1999. The three weeks I had to wait were very difficult. It seemed as everything and everyone was against me. I almost felt like the house was going to fall on me and I was wavering and wavering about what to do. So I decided not to go. So when the day came I felt like I was left out and it hurt my heart. So I made up my mind and left, I got in the car and went to the meeting. Many curious eyes stared at me and I sat down in a corner at the bottom of the meeting room. I don't remember what was preached about. But what I do remember is that my tears flowed from my eyes. I had such a need for sin that I have to say ithe tears didn't stop. Finally they wanted me to get up and kneel. I ran up, had to come to intercession, wanted to be saved! When I fell on my knees, an older lady came to me and wanted to lay her hands on me. Afterwards she told me that she couldn't, because there was a power in me. who wouldn't let her do it. I didn't notice it, but she leaned over me and said: Say Thank You Jesus, I said Thank You Jesus and then everyone in there cried with joy I think. We thanked and praised God in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. And when we had greeted and thanked for the meeting, it was time to go home. Sure, I was a little worried. But I got home, I didn't feel anything special. Before I thought that I had to try and repent. After a few days, I put the tobacco away. And the rest you have read. God bless everyone! Grace upon grace inJesusname John 7:17
All pre-existed in the mind, thoughts, reason, and doctrine of our God the Father, the definition of logos. Revelation 3:14, the beginning of the creation of God, the starting point, the predetermined position of authority that God would give to His Son at the point in time that God planned before creation.
Jesus understood all the Scriptures that foretold the glory destined for Him in the mind of God the Father before creation. God's thoughts and plans began with Jesus, who became the tabernacle of God in flesh on earth. Through Him, eternal life can be bestowed upon all who believe in Him. Every word Jesus spoke was God's word: John 7:15-16, John 12:49, John 14:24.
How should we understand verse 3? Jesus, in prayer to the Father, states that eternal life is dependent on knowing the Father, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the Messiah whom God sent.
Jesus knew who He was. He said in John 20:17, He had a Father and a God. Jesus is praying to His Father, He had no power of himself; all he did and said was the Father working in him. Jesus perfectly submitted to God's will by choice and obedience; the glory Jesus was praying for was yet to be realized, only in the knowledge He had from Scripture and the Holy Spirit He was anointed with, without measure of what it would be.
We must confess Jesus is the Son of God.
I am sorry for this long post; read it, study it, or ignore it. I love you guys.
3, And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
This is one powerful verse: "And this is life eternal." This was the primary purpose of Jesus' mission: the immortality of the Father came to earth, manifested in Jesus, and eternal life which God the Father alone possesses, 1 Timothy 6:16.
God was revealed in the flesh of His only Son, Jesus. What is eternal was manifested in the world and is now available to us. This eternal life is given that we might know the only true God and His Son Jesus Christ, whom His Father sent, 1 John 4:7-16.
There are 38 times in the gospels where Jesus said God sent Him, the most expressive is in John 7:16-29. When Jesus was sent, it was first for the lost sheep of the house of Israel, Matthew 15:24, at the fullness of time, for those under the law, Galatians 4:4-5. This was part of God's plan from the beginning and happened at the fullness of time.
In 1 John 5:20, John says Jesus gave them understanding that they should know the Son of God, the Messiah has come, and that we should know the true God, and we are in Him, the true God, and in the Son of Him that is the only God from whom eternal life comes. Paul says the same in 1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. God, the Father, of whom are all things, "of whom are" Greek ek" or "ex" indicates the origin or source. "Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, Greek dia ho, he, to pas, on the account of Jesus are all things.
John 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
Jesus has come to the end of His earthly mission, the time of His crucifixion has come near, John 13:1. Jesus said, "glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:" Jesus has been obedient to His Father and has finished what He was sent to do, except for the last hours of left in Passover day when He will suffer and die.
The words that Jesus spoke are written in John 13 through John 16; all five chapters were written about while they were in the room where they had the Last Supper. He lifted His eyes to heaven. Jesus was praying to the Father, and the disciples were there. Judas left just before Jesus started this prayer. Jesus is in the upper room just before going to the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus prays for Himself, his disciples, and all future believers.
His hour had come, as He said in Luke 22:15-16, He desired to eat this Passover before He suffered, but He would not be there to eat it. And in John 12:23, He said the hour had come that He should be glorified. In John 7:33-39, Jesus spoke of the Holy Spirit that those who believe in Him will receive, but it has not been given yet because Jesus was not yet glorified/resurrected. God glorified Jesus when He raised Jesus from the dead in His glorified body. We will also be raised in a body fashioned like His, Philippians 3:21.
Jesus knew what He would have to endure later that day: death on the cross. In this prayer, we can see Jesus' love for his disciples and his desire for them to remain in faith and purpose. His emotions in this prayer intensified in the garden, as reflected in Matthew 26:38-43 and Luke 22:40-44. All that Jesus did throughout His mission on earth was to glorify God, showing us the importance of glorifying God in all our actions.

My Interpetation REDAPPLETREATY4MEONLY
"God will fight, defend, work for you. God is in you and you belong to God.Breaks yokes imposed of sin and false deities. God wants you to find his Word as freedom. Qouted Applications "Coming to him in humility, submitting to his teachings of promises." God wants you to become like him being the self sacrifice. John 7:37 God is the bread of life and living water( John 6:35). Have faith God will always supply need more then enough and you can reach yourself with God. I apply myself too which is a plus . "
I Pray to God asking to find peace and rest in his care. To run the race of opportunity to do the will of God. John 7:37- John 6:35.
"In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, IF ANY MAN thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
And HE IS THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS: AND NOT FOR OURS ONLY, BUT ALSO FOR THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD. 1 John 2:1-2.
Q: The multiples of seven throughout the Narrative sets the Father Son relationship. It must be based on the covenant. Can you elaborate on this?
A: Yes. It is seven days which are determined by the Law of the Spirit. He is the Word, the sound as well as the sign. "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell."(Col.1:19). So 7 is made up of 4+3. This shall be seen in covenant where first four days refer to heaven while the last three days are imposed on the man component in the Son. He has a volume as well as a steward his creation is under his charge. He has to enter into the rest assured on the day Seven. Jesus Christ in the inaugural vision of John is seen holding seven stars. He is there as the Law figuratively presented which refers to 7x1000 that God has reserved for himself. It is to which God reveals to the dis-spirited Elijah. It is similar to 12x12x1000 that are seen standing on mount Sion. Both Father and the Son are co-signatories so to speak.
"And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees:"(Ex.15:27)We find seventy palm trees and twelve wells at Elim and the Spirit reports that God proved them there. God was present there as well as the Word. The Israelites camped by the waters. In rejecting the call of Jesus Christ they rejected the living waters. ( John 7:37-38)."And the Lord said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel." Anointing the elders was a forerunner for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit which refers to the truth,"My Father worketh hitherto and I work.""Receive ye the Holy Ghost."(John20:22) Jesus appointed seventy other disciples.( Luke 10:1)
In the Book of the Revelation,"And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven."(11:13) The tenth part of the city refers to Decalogue.
Leaving the worlds framed by the word we shall examine the world made to appear, where the earthly tabernacle tells of a vile body formed out of dust of the ground. The glorious tabernacle "we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens" forms what is unseen. (2 Co.5:1) Jesus refers to the face where these two worlds interface. "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."( John 7:38) The vision of Isaiah illustrates this temple."Then flew one of the seraphim unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar." (Is.6:6). In the vision it evokes the vision of John and the altar of soul was placed on the sea of glass. " I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held."(Re.6:9)
The face between the heart and the belly is one. Seraphim guards this by their wings as with their two pairs they guard above and below. "The seraphim: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly."(6:2)
As mentioned earlier each face is established where a believer may fly to the heavenly places as well as guard their walk. "How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word."(Ps.119:9-10) "Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it." (Ps.81:10). Israel would have none of it. They shut out their ear of faith lest they should be converted. The liver and caul were to be burnt. "And thou shalt take all the fat that covereth the inwards, and the caul that is above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and burn them upon the altar."(Ex.29:13) Our living sacrifice covers all the worldly appetites that war against our soul.
Thirdly a life of separation."Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood,"(He.13:12-15)
John 7:35 - Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?
These are called the Hellenists in the Greek text. They are talking about the Jews who have left Jerusalem and gone to live in Greek communities. They are Greek speaking Jews. And so, they are saying "Is He going to go amongst the Gentiles and teach the Gentiles," but they are making reference to Hellenists. That is a title for the Greek speaking Jews.
John 7:37 - In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
So, on this last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood, and it is interesting that the word "stood" is a Perfect Tense meaning He had been standing through the entire ceremony.
John 7:51 - Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?
The Greek text causes us to expect the answer no. Or yes, our law does let a man present himself, but no, our law does not judge a man before it hears him or knows what he does.
John 8:2 - And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
Now the word "came," again is in the Imperfect Tense. They were flowing, people were just flowing to come and see Him, crowds of people, and He sat down and taught them. That is the position of the Rabbi. The Rabbi would always sit down to teach.
John 8:10 - When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
The word "condemned" in the Greek (KATEKRINEN) is a judicial term meaning "passed sentence." Has no one passed sentence on you?
John 7:15 - And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?
The Greek word for the word "letters" is GRAMMA (Pronounced Grah-ma. In Greek, gramma actually means the individual letters of the alphabet, and then it came to be used for putting the letters together to pronounce words. And then thirdly, it reached a phase where it represented all writings that had words in them.
So, they are saying, "He's uneducated, He's never attended any of our religious schools. Where does He have all of this wisdom and knowledge?"
John 7:17 - If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
Literally, that first part of this verse in the Greek text reads, "If anyone should will to do His will."
The word "will" is that free will process, or that decision making process. When we approach life and approach the word of God, what is our motivation? Is it so that we can do His will? We'll know whether it is right or not from the Bible. Isn't that interesting? That is a guarantee. It says that you shall know of the doctrine whether it be of God or whether I speak of myself.
Not all Christians have the right motive in the approach to the word of God. The bible is for people who say, "I really want to know what the Lord's will is." What does God say about this so I can do it? These are like personal letters from God to us saying here is my will for your life. I'm just saying that when you want to do the Lord's will, you'll know whether the teaching is from God or not.
Not when you compare it to your human desires, not when you compare it to your personal opinions, not when you compare it to what you want out of life., but as a surrendered disciple who wants to do the will of God, you will know whether the doctrine is right or not. You'll know whether that doctrine was inspired by the same Spirit that lives inside you that inspires you to want to do God's will.
John 6:63 - It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
The word quickeneth means make alive. It is the spirit that makes alive, the flesh profits nothing: In other words, there is no spiritual benefit in the flesh. Zero! The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. They are not physical. It is spirit. It is not physical life, it is spiritual life. So, He says everything that I just told you about my flesh, and my blood, take that and change it into spiritual metaphors and you'll have what it means.
John 6:70 - Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
Literally, the word demon!
John 7:1 - After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
After these things (META TOUTA), meaning right after the things in Chapter 6, Jesus walked in Galilee: for He would not walk in Jewry, (that is, in Judea), because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.
John 7:11 - Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
Remember the Jews, plural, whenever it says the Jews in the plural, it is representing the leaders. So, the Jews were seeking Him at the feast, and said, where is He?
John 7:14 - Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.
The word taught is called the Imperfect Tense, continually teaching in the temple. And what is interesting is that He went up in the middle of the feast, not at the beginning of the feast.
The feast had started. People were looking for Him. He wasn't there. So, everybody starts turning their attention towards the activities of the feast, and then Jesus went into the temple around the middle of the feast.
6And at midnight(at the turn from he sixth to the seventh and last Day, the Lord's Day)there was a cry made,Behold, the bridegroom cometh;go ye out to MEET Him.
Acts 1:8-11
8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you:and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9And when JESUS had spoken these things, while they beheld,He was taken up;and a CLOUD received JESUS out of their sight.
10And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as JESUS went up, behold,TWO MEN stood by them in white apparel; (Comment: Would the two men had been Gabriel and Michael- Daniel 12:6-13 combined with Genesis 19:1-3and 12-15?By the way, what is the difference between sea & river in the Scriptures?Being the sea=waters=peoples and nations, and multitudes of all tongues, and the waters of the river:Who are them? Are not them exclusively the elected people of GOD redeemed by JESUS- John 7:38-, or even His Church,His body?)
11The two men said:Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?this same JESUS,which is taken up from you into heaven, shall SO COME IN LIKE MANNER(in the same place, and the same CLOUD- Matthew 24:30)as ye have seen JESUS go into heaven.
1Thes.4:16-18
16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of GOD:and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the cloud,to meet the Lord in the air(in the ineffable, indescribable, unspeakable environment of the 3rd heaven)and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Matt. 25:10 ->And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came;and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage:and the door was shut.
The Word of GOD is from everlasting to everlasting, the Word is GOD, GOD Himself,self-executing.Great mystery-> Matthew 11:27
The Spirit makes an unbroken narrative thread from the beginning till eternity. In Ex.15:27 the Spirit gives us 12 wells at Elim."where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters." The number 12 foreshadows Christ exhorting,"In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink." ( John 7:37). What Moses qualifies as 'my speech' refers to him. This is 'my doctrine, the Gospel of Christ. Up and Down and Across the Gospel has the tag 12 and it does not change.
At Elim there were 70 palm trees (7x10) and they signify trees of righteousness. We have 70 elders upon whom God sent the Spirit and they were the Associates of Moses. This Seventy foreshadows the seventy other disciples whom Jesus sent to preach. ( Luke 10:1)
"And theLordsaid unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, /And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone."(Nu.11:7-8)
Compare the vision of Ezekiel with Re.22:1-2 "And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine."(Ez.47:12)
The living waters beginning from heaven holds both heaven and the earth as one and this pure river of water of life gives us what everlasting to everlasting would mean. (Col.1:17).What does this signify? Up and Down and Across can only be understood in him.
"Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth./My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:/ Because I will publish the name of the Lord."
In continuation of the post titled Thy name we have this key text as spoken by Moses. It is encapsulated by the Lord's Prayer, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." The Spirit gives us a clear demonstration of what is meant by "After our likeness" in putting words of the Son in Moses. He is what the similitude in theological sense delineates. It is similtude of the Lord as the verse makes clear. "With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold."(Nu.11:8). "The words of my mouth" are not parables where God and Moses are concerned. He is after our likeness, as Jesus as the Word made flesh, so we have his doctrine repleted with 'loaded' words as dew, as small rain and the showers. What holds them together? Is it not the river of time sent forth as the word gone forth from the mouth of God? We read "from the waters which were above the firmament" several states so the mist, " But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground"(Ge.2:6;1:7) mist gives over to small showers giving us a lapse of time.

Why is the NASB included in the parallel options? It's missing entire verses, and you know what Revelation 22.18-19 says about removing things:
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
This didn't used to be an option. This is a very sneaky way of corrupting the Word.
--FULL LIST OF REMOVALS:
Luke 4: 4: And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
Luke 4: 8: And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Matt.25: 13: Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Matt.27: 35: And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
Mark 6: 11: And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Mark 13: 14: But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains.
John 7: 8: Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.
COMMENT: By omitting the word 'yet' the NASV makes the Saviour a liar, because he did later go up to the feast. (Joh
"For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love" (Gal.5:6). Circumcision availeth nothing where God's breath in is has shown us the way. We are to worship him in Spirit and truth. "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."(Ro.8:13)
"And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised"
The seven days in the Covenant refer to the Day that God has appointed for the Son. So of what significance is the eighth day. While the command number Seven signifies completion or whole we have the lower parts where Jesus went in Spirit and preached to the souls in prison. The Psalm of David does not leave the lower parts from God's providential eye. "My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth./Thine eyes did see my substance," (Ps.139:15-16). The number Eight has its relevance. The body of four and twenty elders is a memorial ibefore the throne of heaven (8x3). Covenant in short of the flesh shows the way to the life in the Spirit. It is what Jesus offered the nation of Israel."In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink."( John 7:37)
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
Christ is here teaching Nicodemus and us something about the nature of salvation. The "water" is the Word of God, ie the gospel. As we read in John 7:38 and Rom 10:17.
The "Spirit" is God Himself as He applies salvation to the life of someone whom He is saving by miraculously giving them a New Resurrected Soul in which they have become a "new creature in Christ" and will have an earnest ongoing desire to be obedient to the law of God, ie to not commit sin. John 3:9 and 2 Corinthians 5:17. This is becoming Born Again, ie becoming "saved".
And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks.
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
Here in Revelation, chapters 1,2, and 3 the Lord is addressing his Church.
In this thread I want to focus on the candle stick. (Which is actually a lamp stand.) "Light barer".
The Lord identifies the Lamp stand in verse 20) the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
Revelation 1:20.
Also, what's important to see is Jesus's placement in the picture drawn. He is in the midst of the lampstand.
This is a picture of the Menorah.
It is to be oiled filled and never burn out.
WITH THAT IN MIND LETS GO TO THE GOSPELS.
John 9:4.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
John 1:4-12.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
It is clear Jesus came into the world to give light to a dark world and testifies to the world that its works is evil.
"Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:/ But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." ( John 4:13-14) Two kinds of water.
Thirsting again is the quality of water that went up as a mist, "But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground."(Ge.2:7) What God gave Samson to drink was the same. This sign is within frame of reference to the day decreed for the Son. Thus blessings stipulated in the covenant or condemnation arises. This is made clear by unto this day and in that day. The latter refers to the condemnation.
"But the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life," is what every believer or true worshiper could claim."n the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink."( John 7:37-38; Is.55:1) The two kinds of water have thus different source as Adam and the last Adam have. "The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven."(1 Co.15:47)
It is thus we distinguish between Sabbath as one day which need like water from the Jacob's Well. But thirst never gos away. The water unto everlasting life that we drink in the Son signified we have entered into the rest with the Son.
Does this insight come from human intellect or from the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ?" (2 Co.4:6) The heretical sects who make much Israel and Sabbath are holding truth in unrighteousness. More worse is that the refuse to come to light because their works are evil." And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ( John 3:19-20) What is their take on the unity of the Spirit. Drivel.

John 3:16-21.
God bless.
Part 1
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
See part 2.

See part 2
John 17:1-5,
All pre-existed in the mind, thoughts, reason, and doctrine of our God the Father, the definition of logos.
God bless,
RLW

Part 1

I Pray to God asking to find peace and rest in his care. To run the race of opportunity to do the will of God. John 7:37- John 6:35.
Jesus said in John 7:37-38.
Blessings.

Luke 4: 4: And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Mark 6: 11: And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

John3:3-12
This is what God is teaching in Ezekiel 36:24-31
Part 1.
Revelation 1:12-13.
John 7:7.
On to page 2.
Drivel.
