11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11
When we look at the ultimate and final meaning of this prophecy we see the Tribulation saint martyrs. We can certainly extrapolate today's suffering church as well as apply this to our daily death to the sin nature; the world system and Satan.
In light of this I have some personal thoughts; not a "thus saith the Lord" but nonetheless I find a need to get into it.
We are all aware; more or less at this site how late the hour is. Some if not most are already in a predetermined path to suffer in the Tribulation; and some will escape out of it as I see Scripture. There will be saved and unsaved at that time as God refines His people primarily to purge out the dross and goes through the predetermined phases of judgments leading to Armageddon and His arrival to overthrow the Beast and his partner in crime and establish the long awaited Kingdom of Christ in the Millennium.
My first warning is that mere factual assent isn't enough to save us and if we are saved the Spirit dwells in us ( John 16:8). For a true believer the enemy would love to sidetrack us to avoid effective witness and try to convince us we will be left behind (at least in my case). Whether it is this side of the Rapture or not we risk catastrophic spiritual defeat if we put our hopes; fears or dreams in this world system.
Prayer warriors are needed in this hour; much as they will during the Tribulation with the incense of their prayers mentioned before the seal and trumpet judgments. For those dying during this Tribulation period there is no vagueness about it; we will be along with the world well aware of our soul going to heaven after martyrdom.
Let us be wary to avoid traps which could ensnare us. The world as most here know is being set up ( Isaiah 8:14; 2 Thessalonians; etc). We all must guard our hearts ( Prov. 4:23).
It seems the scriptures you gathered argues against your point.
To begin with Matthew 24:13 I don't know about you but I wont believe around during that period of time.
However if you are and you happen to endure it will be because of the blood of the Lamb.
Revelation 12:10-11.
If you believe you can do it any other way you are already recieved!
You would be using the same filthy flesh that have you in bondage to cleanse yourself with.
Also; You brought up Hebrews 12:7.
Hebrews 12:7 argues against your point!
Hebrews 12:5-10 reads
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, THAT WE MIGHT BE PARTAKERS OF HIS HOLINESS.
We have a father that promises to never leave us and keeps us in line even unto death!
Paul says in Philippians 1:6
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
James 1:12 reads "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
"When he is tried" in this verse is when he is MADE acceptable.
The verse says Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: "FOR OR BECAUSE" WHEN HE IS TRIED,
Here's why it matters and why these particular promises is was not fulfilled in the Church.
The church was never brought out of Egypt and promised a land here on earth with the tabernacle of David being restored with this action being a spectacle for all the world to see to glorify God.
Just a few of many Examples;
1) Ezekiel 36:23-24 "And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
2) Jeremiah 16:14-15"Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
3) Isaiah 48:11-12 "For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
Is the Church also the new Jacob?
In the book of Esther we see a clear demonic plot to annihilate the Jewish people through Haman,
In Ezekiel 38:12-19 we see a demonic force of Gog of Magog.
In Revelation 12:13-17 we see where the dragon persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
The woman here is Israel not the Church!
Throughout history Satan has tried to annihilate the Jews. Ethnic Israel!
This would destroy the promises of God and attack his name.
Today it's done with Replacement Theology.
It's getting late but I have much more to say on this.
That could be true however there is a unique difference in the way Christ is presented to Lordship over the Church and Lordship in the Kingdom here on earth.
Christ Lordship is over our hearts without any written articles on tablets.
In the Kingdom Christ is ruling with a rod of iron.
In Revelation 12:5 we see the Israel presented as the woman and her children who shall rule the nations with a rod of iron. Christ.
The Church is never identified as the nations or inhabitants of the earth.
Deuteronomy 18:18-19 seems to fit Christ ruling here on earth with a rod of iron as presented in other scriptures and that is a fulfillment of the Davidic covenant.
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him."
Other passages;
Revelation 2:27.
Revelation 19:15.
Isaiah 65:16-25 has much to say about this economy.
This echoes Psalms 2:6-9.
"Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Scripture says the Church shall reign with Christ.
Revelation 20:6.
2 Timothy 2:12.
Revelation 5:10.
Luke 22:28-30.
The reigning is not a present reality but a future hope for believers.
Permit me to follow the example of Elihu and act in accordance with his statement in Job 32:21-22.
In a previous comment, you emphasized the importance of properly considering a matter before speaking, so as not to appear as "fools." I wonder if perhaps the claim that Christ will reign with the saints on earth was rebutted too quickly, without sufficient consideration.
The 144,000 mentioned in Revelation 14:2-3 are described as the firstfruits of those saved in Israel after the rapture, as verse 14 clarifies. However, this does not imply that Christ will not return to earth with them. They will return together with all who have inherited salvation, as seen in Revelation 21:1-3.
It is also important to note that the New Jerusalem, symbolically represented as the Bride, represents the spiritual Church or body of Christ. This is supported in Hebrews 12:22, 2 Corinthians 11:2, Ephesians 2:19-22, 1 Peter 2:5, and 1 Corinthians 3:9. Only those who have received the Spirit of Christ are considered part of the Church of Christ ( 1 Corinthians 12:13, Romans 8:9).
This Church will return to earth and reign with Christ for a thousand years, as indicated in Revelation 20:4, Revelation 12:5, and Revelation 19:15.
As Elihu said in Job 34:22: "If you have understanding, hear this; listen to the voice of my words."
Please note that my words are not intended as insults or to cause offense, for that would not reflect the love that the Lord Jesus expects from us. Rather, my intention is to encourage careful consideration of matters from a biblical perspective, rather than relying solely on worldly opinion. As the Lord Jesus said, many teach the traditions of men as doctrine, and as Paul says, we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.
The Devil: 1 Corinthians 5:9 states: For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
and Isaiah 24:21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
We read further in Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
This is the fate of those who are Raptured; to see that day when the accuser is finally cast down and his minions. To tempt us then accuse us when we fall is something God has allowed the enemy to do so we learn to trust in the Lord and rely not on our own understanding. There is a way which seems right unto a man but leads to death ( Prov. 14:12).
This subject if understood properly shows us that none of has any strength to do battle in our own efforts. We see this when the prophet Daniel encountered visions of the beast to come in the final world kingdom as well as with the angels that ministered to him. Job learned he couldn't contend with God and was apparently unaware that Satan was allowed to test him and cause much of his misery physically and in the original blitz he was on with the whirlwind that destroyed his family; the tribesmen that came down as well to ruin his crops. We need to keep this in mind or we will think that all we need to do is change our behavior to avoid repercussions or think that is the only problem. The fact is our old nature in a true believer IS in reality dead but the enemy does things to revitalize the feelings we had before we came to faith. For a true believer the new life in Christ IS what and who they really are and the old nature an illusion. The enemy induces a thought and still can elicit sin which causes God's chastisement.
Satan has not yet been confined in the bottomless pit, so Revelation 20:3 has not occurred. This will happen after Jesus returns, the first resurrection, the Battle of Armageddon, and the beast and the false prophet are cast into the lake of fire. You can read Revelation 17, 18, 19, and Revelation 20:1-6.
The short season you said was in Revelation 20:6 may be referring to Revelation 12:7-12. In Revelation 12:7-9, Satan and his angels are cast down to earth with no more access to heaven. Revelation 12:12 states he knows he has only a short time.
My understanding is that this short time lasts three and a half years, also 42 months or 1260 days, often referenced in Revelation as the period of great tribulation involving Satan, the beast, and the false prophet. We also see reference to it in Matthew 24:29, Mark 13:24, and Revelation 7:14. I hope this helps.
Revelation and the prophecies about the end days require study and prayer; many different interpretations exist.
In the spiritual dimension; powerful principalities and powers await the timing of the Rapture in order to fully implement the Antichrist's covenant with many; the mark of the beast and eventually attempt to overthrow Christ Himself after gathering the nations together as Psalm 2 and Revelation 19 make clear. As to the details on that campaign perhaps I'll elaborate on a future post.
There are things which involve Michael in the last days. Daniel 12:1 states: And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
We also read in Revelation 12:
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
In this power play we see two sides who both are contending for power; Satan of course will know that his time is short ( Rev. 12:12) as dictated by God. Michael as one of the Archangels is involved in fighting this anointed cherubim who fell and the outcome is already known. In doing this; of course Satan and his minions are cast down to earth and allowed for the brief space of 42 months to wreak havoc.
In light of these awesome and fearsome events we need to remember God's sovereignty. We also need to understand His purposes
Daniel 9:24 states: Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. This summarizes of course the 69 weeks from 444 BC to the crucifixion; but especially is focused on the last 70th week.
I thought the discussion was about both the Rapture and the 1000-year reign of Jesus. I understand there are different interpretations, but I believe it will be an actual earthly kingdom with Israel restored, with Jesus sitting on the throne of David. We see the beginning in Revelation 20:1-4.
All who are in the first resurrection will be judged; these will reign with Jesus as king in Israel over the entire world. Regarding Isaiah 2:2-5, I am not sure if it refers to the whole world or just the restored land of Israel, where animals experience peace and harmony, like when they were first created.
We see the gathering and restoration of the remnant of the house of Israel within the boundaries of the land God promised Abraham, as mentioned in Isaiah 2 and Isaiah 11. We also see references in Jeremiah 23:5-6, Ezekiel 37:21-28, Zechariah 9:9, Daniel 2:44, and Matthew 19:28.
Thank you, brother. I could list more, but I believe these passages demonstrate that this kingdom and the rule of Jesus will be on this earth, and He will govern with a rod of iron, as in Revelation 12:5, during the time Satan is bound in the bottomless pit for 1000 years.
And of course Paul writes in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3: "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition". To assure the believers in that Church, Paul writes that the Day of Christ's appearing and our GATHERING TOGETHER UNTO HIM, will only come after a falling away & the revelation of the Anti-Christ. After this happens, Christ appears & we are gathered (the Rapture & Resurrection of 1 Thessalonians chap 4?) unto Him. Then the Great Tribulation begins, as God's Wrath is displayed first in its infancy (the removing of His Restrainer), then with increasing suffering, culminating in Matthew 24:29,30.
Your reference to Revelation 12:12 has bearing on the whole chapter and I perceive we don't understand it the same way and it would be too long to exegete here. Then to Revelation 19:7-9, comparing with Revelation 21:9-11. I can see the connection that the Lamb's wife is the New Jerusalem as stated here, but when we read Revelation 19:7-9, we see that 'she (the New Jerusalem?) hath made herself ready; she would be arrayed in fine white linen which is the righteousness of the saints (can a city or a people be so arrayed?); and there is to be a marriage supper (with a city?)'. This can be quite confusing if one is to believe that Jesus is marrying a city. Or maybe, there are two references: of a city & the Church represented together in marriage. I can't tell. To Page 3.
What is the Rapture? It is a doctrine that began in the 1800s and is widely accepted today. The belief in it is so strong that many see it as a promise, a guarantee, that the Church will be taken to heaven and escape the great tribulation, which is often confused with the wrath of God. But is it true or just a deception? Isn't the rapture a resurrection? We see there are only two resurrections, in Revelation 20:6 and Revelation 20:12-13, separated by a thousand years.
Nowhere is the Church shown in heaven; Revelation 19:7-9 is not about the Church. It describes the bride of Christ adorned with the righteousness of the saints. The marriage and the marriage supper will not occur until Revelation 21:1-2, which takes place after the new heaven and new earth. The angel shows John the bride, the Lamb's wife, who is not the Church, as stated in Revelation 21:9-11.
We must distinguish between the great tribulation and the wrath of God; they are not the same. Tribulation refers to the suffering and persecution faced by believers. We see in Revelation 12:12, Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, for the devil has come down to you, having great wrath. This is when he gives power to the beast, and the great tribulation begins. The short time Satan believed he had was 3.5 years, not seven. Revelation 13:5 mentions 42 months, which is 1260 days, or 3.5 years. The prophecy in Daniel 9 is all about the Messiah, Jesus, and the time Israel has.
We do not see the wrath of God and the Lamb until after the sixth seal, in Revelation 6:12-17. This is when Jesus returns to earth, the earth is round, and when Jesus returns, it will be as in Mathew 24:29-31. We will then meet Him in the air, and we all come down together.
Brother Jesse, thank you. Wow, your reply is already off the discussion page. When I responded and said no, I will not walk away, I should have included that if I continue to abide in Christ as in John 15:6-7, then I am secure. You say a true believer will not fall away, and I agree, but to me, one who continues to abide in Christ is a true believer, and the Holy Spirit will strengthen them to endure until the end if we walk in the Spirit.
Should we ask what salvation truly is? Is it a one-time event, as it is often strongly preached today, 2 Timothy 4:3-4, or is it a lifelong journey? I see salvation as encompassing the past, present, and future. When we accept Jesus through faith, our past sins are forgiven, we are justified by faith, declared innocent of sin, and covered with a white garment, clean and pure.
We then begin a lifetime of sanctification, becoming more like Christ, and we must continually repent of our sins, walking in the Spirit to keep our garments spotless, as 1 John 1:9 states. I believe this is why there are so many warnings that we must endure, to overcome, and keep our garments spotless. We must maintain our garments, which signify a lifelong relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit on the way to our glorification when we are resurrected.
Our robes are made white not by us but, Revelation 7:14, unrepentant sin defiles, Revelation 3:4-5, staying steadfast in our faith, Revelation 16:15. This is lifelong; we are to be faithful until our death, Revelation 2:10, Revelation 12:11. There is a reason for these many warnings; we should at least ask why.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
WHEW. Let's meditate on this for a bit. The focus here seems primarily on the Tribulation saints; I cannot say for sure if the first few years in heaven he is constantly accusing us; or focusing on those on earth but I would tend to say both and possibly even more on the former since he will no doubt not be gleeful that mortal man is glorified and waiting to rule and reign on the earth. No doubt it will be a great moment when he finally gets the boot. Some would say this speaks of the past and Satan is already bound; then I would have to say much of what I'm going through is my own insanity but to avoid being untoward with my audience I'll let the readers decide the matter for themselves.
A lot of people like to debate why Satan had to fall and is unredeemable; etc. After going through this crap for a few years (and possibly some up there in heaven have had thousands of years of this) no doubt this won't be something we ponder. I don't think anyone can add any words to describe this level of evil.
It is essential especially in this hour to have the full armor of God on. I would ask the readers especially those struggling to see if indeed the enemy has pierced your spiritual armor and if you are walking around looking like you've been in a swordfight in your soul. Again only His children can be strengthened in this way and assist others who struggle
The Devil is the last thing we need to fight ( James 3:15).
We are as Ephesians 6 indicates; to be in full armor for although we are involved in the battlefield we are relying on Christ's intercession and strength; for in our own strength there is no hope. I don't think this point is emphasized enough and lack of scriptural knowledge on the subject is foolish. I won't bother at this late hour to look up all the verses but Daniel in particular emphasizes the powers and principalities that were directing the actions behind the scenes of different empires that were to continue for centuries no doubt with the same entities; namely Michael and Gabriel and Lucifer and his minions.
The accuser of the brethren is mentioned as finally being cast out of heaven in Revelation 12:9. Whether he is accusing just us at present or the saints in heaven until this is finally completed in the middle of the Tribulation as far as I can tell isn't clear to me but I am convinced we are all a part of the prayer and activity and get a "front row seat" as it were to God's judgments on earth. This has; no doubt lead to the accusation of non believers of us escaping and gloating over what comes to pass. God is just and if we accuse Him of being unjust of course that increases our judgment.
God is the one who is going to grant the authority for the Antichrist to rise to power and succeed in all He does for a short time as Daniel and Revelation make clear. I would be bold enough to suggest that when we can see clearly we will even now begin to understand how much Satan blindsides us in blocking our view of God and His blessings for His children. If we are His own we recognize His voice and with so many false voices today we need to focus attention on Him alone. If the enemy accuses us we must confess to the Lord immediately. If he tempts us or puts thoughts in our mind we must rebuke him as it is NOT sin until we pursue it. Maranatha.
I understand that many interpret a 7-year tribulation based on Daniel 9:27. In Revelation 12, when Satan is cast out of heaven onto earth, Revelation 12:12 says, "Woe to the inhabiters of the earth." He is filled with great wrath. Satan makes war, not peace. Revelation 13:1-5 explains that Satan gives the beast his power, his seat, and great authority. This beast is only given 42 months to reign. The book of Revelation does not mention seven years anywhere; instead, this beast is only granted 42 months from the time he rises.
Daniel 9: Daniel realized the 70 years of captivity were ending and prayed for himself and Israel, asking God for mercy so they could return to their homeland. Gabriel appeared to show Daniel a vision of his people, the house of Israel, and the holy city, Jerusalem. This prophecy foretold when the Messiah would come.
Seventy weeks are determined upon Daniel's people and the holy city. I will keep this short; to cover all this would take many posts. The 7 years are taken from Daniel 9:27, attributing he as being the antichrist, the beast in Revelation.
The entire prophecy is about the coming Messiah; 490 years are given to fulfill the 6 things listed in verse 24, with the judgment for their abominations and the rejection and killing of the Messiah that will be carried out on the city in verse 26.
In verse 26, it says that after 62 weeks, the Messiah will be cut off/crucified. The first 7 weeks must be added, totaling 69 weeks; this would make it during the 70th week. The 70th week has been fulfilled, and due to their rejection of the Messiah/Jesus, the city and temple were destroyed because they overspread abominations. Jesus was the he who confirmed the covenant.
Matthew 23Matthew 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
Jesus caused the sacrifice and oblation to cease because it pointed to Him. Matthew 27:51, the veil of the temple rent, and Hebrews 10.
And that will fulfill this group that is underneath the altar when God says to avenge your blood is not yet, there's still more coming, more people who have to die during the Tribulation Period that will be taken up under the altar of God.
And the believing Jews that will be here on the earth, after Satan sees that he can't get to these 144,000 that are sent up to what many believe is the Rock City of Petra, which is already stacked and stored with food, and many believe that will be the place.
But there will be other Jews and Gentiles here on the earth that basically will believe in Jesus Christ as Messiah and Savior. They will lose their lives. But after Satan sees that his efforts to chase the nation into the wilderness fail, he'll go after the remnants seed.
Revelation 12:17 - And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
And the dragon was wroth (very angry) with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, and that would be the believing Jews, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
So, there's 144,000 Jews who are sealed on their foreheads. And they will be protected. But there will be other Jews on the earth who will receive the testimony, especially from the two witnesses who are in the streets of Jerusalem.
And as we will see soon when we get into the number of the beast, 666, which I'm sure you're excited for that, but the number of the beast is not what you might think it is. It has nothing to do with credit cards, or most of the things you might hear people say. As a matter of fact, the number itself is not six-hundred and sixty-six. It is six three times. It is 666. And I will share how that works soon in the next chapter.
But there will be people on the earth. And we'll see that there will even be an angel flying in heaven warning the people not to take the mark of the beast, but to believe in God. But their lives will be taken. If you do not receive the number, you'll be killed. You will not be allowed to live because you've rejected the system. And you'll be killed with the sword.
Revelation 12:14 - And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle. The wings are the symbols for God giving ability to escape or to flee, as given to us in Daniel and Ezekiel. To her were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time. That's a Hebraism taken from Daniel. Time is one, times is plural, so that's two. So, it is three total. And then a half-time, and that's 3-1/2 years, from the face of the serpent, who is of course Satan.
Revelation 12:15 - And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, again, symbolic language from the prophets. The flood waters out of the mouth are the armies in pursuit. A flood is an army. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Revelation 12:11 - And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Through Christ's shed blood on the cross, He purchased us and died for our sins. We are overcomers because Christ overcame Satan at the cross. That's why John says in 1 John 4:4 that greater is He that is in you that he that is in the world, and that we have already overcome the spirit of antichrist.
So, they overcame him, in the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony. And they loved not their lives unto death. Interesting! How far along do I love my life? Well, I'm willing to give it up right up to death. I mean, that might be a little too far.
In the book of Acts, as Paul was traveling towards Jerusalem, there were different prophecies given along the way that if Paul was going to go to Jerusalem, he was going to be persecuted and taken captive there.
The prophecies didn't say don't go. The prophecies just said you're going to face trouble. Because of those prophecies, the Christians tried to stop him from going, thinking that if God were to say that, it must mean that God is trying to stop him.
But Paul says to them "I don't count my life dear to myself. God has told me to go. If that's what awaits me, so be it!" It's interesting that he says I don't count my life dear to myself. We have a tendency to interpret things differently that happen to us.
Some say "a God of love wouldn't allow difficulty to happen in my life. I can't accept a God who would do that!" That's because they love their lives too much. What if God called us to sacrifice for Him? Some would say that's too far.
Just think if someone came knocking on your door and asked are you a believer in Christ, and you said yes, and they said come on out here, you're next to be put to death. What are you going to do? They do not love their lives even unto the death!
Revelation 12:5 - And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
That's the Messiah in Psalm 2:8-9. And her child was caught up unto God. That's the ascension. And to His throne.
Revelation 12:6 - And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
And the woman (The nation Israel) fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days, or 3-1/2 years. Many believe that this is the rock city of Petra that is already supplied with food out in the wilderness, so that when those who are sealed by God, the 144,000 especially, they will have a place to go.
Revelation 12:9 - And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
And the great dragon was cast out. And now we find out who he is, that old serpent. He's called that in Genesis Chapter 3. Called the Devil, and the word Devil means slanderer. And Satan, HASATAN in Hebrew, it means adversary. It's also used for the prosecutor in a courtroom. That's why in Matthew Chapter 16, the Lord said to Peter "Get behind me Satan." He wasn't calling him Satan. He was calling him His adversary, the one who was opposing Him, HASATAN.
And so, the old serpent, called the Devil, he's the slanderer. And Satan, the adversary, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. This is the final stage. He lost his position before God. Right now, he stands before the throne accusing the brethren day and night. But then he will no longer have access to heaven. He will be cast out onto the earth, and he will be enraged.
Revelation 11:3 - And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
And I will give power unto my two witnesses. These are two people that will be protected by God. And they will be testifying in the streets of Jerusalem for 3-1/2 years. And they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore, or 60 days, clothed in sackcloth, which is the clothing of mourning.
Revelation 11:4 - These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
That is a quotation taken from out of Zechariah Chapter 4 where there were two olive trees, two candlesticks, and it's making reference to these two witnesses that will be in Jerusalem.
Revelation 11:13 - And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Interesting that they gave glory to God, but it didn't say anything about submission.
Revelation 12:3 - And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
And ten horns, again from Daniel, we know that that's authority. And seven crowns upon his heads. But why ten horns? Why not seven horns?
The book of Daniel, Chapters 7 through 12 gives us the detail that in the last days there will be ten nations in confederation with each other, known as the League of Nations, today. And three of those ten nations will be absorbed by the other seven.
When the antichrist does take over, there will be seven nations. But here it's representing the ten horns, the authority over the ten nations prior to that absorption of the three. So, we have complete intelligence, authority, and rulership, crowns upon his head.
He says my little children, these things I write unto you, that you should not sin, Aorist Subjunctive. Aorist is one-time, to commit an act of sin. But if anybody should sin (commit an act of Sin), we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous one:
The word advocate is the same word used in the gospel of John for the comforter, the Holy Spirit as the comforter. And the word comforter, PARAKLESIS, means someone who is called alongside to help. But in Greek, it's even more specific than that. This is a legal term that means that Jesus Christ is my defense attorney. And he stands before God and He represents me before God. We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
Now what is interesting is that the PARAKLESIS is the defense attorney. The prosecuting attorney in the courts is called HASATAN, which means the Satan. That's his Hebrew name, HASATAN. He is the prosecuting attorney. When we get into the book of Revelation, in Revelation 12:10, it says that Satan is the accuser of the brethren who accuses them day and night before God.
He's trying to prosecute us. And he brings his argument before God the judge. But our defense attorney Jesus Christ is there to represent us. And everything that Satan says, the Lord can say that's true, but I paid for that on the cross. So, if we should sin, we have a defense attorney at our side at all times, Jesus Christ the righteous one. I'm not righteous, He is. He represents me!

Word Spoken and Interpetation by Reginald Taylor Jr
GiGi , thanks for your story and it really touched my heart . I know that all may not agree with what I post in the writing, but it's all about winning one soul to Christ Jesus. I also know we can use the word of God to fight the scriptures in a way that is not Faith. I pray to God everyday that I do it in love and I do it in Jesus Christ faith .
Philippians 1:14-17
14And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

As a Christians, we are always going to offend others, because they are always ready to point it out. Satan and his followers will always accuse us of all our sins to God.

Rapture 'seizing and carrying off' Just by this definition there is more then one rapture in the Bible.
Today is the day of salvation.
1) Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
2) 2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
3) Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. (The 'rapture) (Start of Tribulation) ( rev 5:9-10 singing in Heaven before 1st seal is open, Made Chiefs Priests to reign with Christ)
4) Revelation 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (out of, meaning they were in it. Raptured saved and repented saints from 4:1 to to the sixth seal, subjects and not like those in Rev 5:9)
Revelation 7:15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them." (servants in heaven day and night)
5) Revelation 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them." (two witnesses raptured after BEING KILLED AND 3 DAYS LATER RESURRECTED BY GOD rev 13:7)
6) Revelation 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. (144,000, the manchild raptured
Revelation 12:1-2 1And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
The woman typifies the body of believers. The sun typifies the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Sun of righteousness arising with healing in his wings ( Malachi 4:2). The moon typifies the law of God, which is a reflection of the sun. The moon under her feet signifies that the believers are dead to the law; the law no longer has any claim on them. Christ as their substitute has fulfilled all the demands of the law on their behalf. The crown with twelve stars signifies the fullness of all believers, which are typified as the stars of heaven. She being with child cried, travailing in birth, pained to be delivered.
An interesting commentary on Revelation 12:2 is found in Isaiah 66:7-8 7Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. 8Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
God is saying, before she travailed, before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. The man child is the Lord Jesus Christ, whose birth we observe each year at Christmas. The woman being in travail has reference to the great tribulation period. And note God's declaration, for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. When the Bible says, Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day, it is a rhetorical statement that has reference to the literal, bodily resurrection of the believers at the last day when Christ appears in great power and glory.
Trust YAH/GOD [ Proverbs 3:5-6] and go to HIS Word and let it lead you and guide you.
HE and HE alone IS the Great Physician [ Isaiah 53:5 & Psalm 103:3] although HE has HIS representatives on the earth, they are in the vast minority because as it is written satan has deceived the "whole" world [ Revelation 12:9]
Pharmakeia [pharmaceuticals] by its very definition in the Greek means witchcraft. [ pharmakea, far-mak-i'-ah; from G5332; medication ("pharmacy"), i.e. (by extension) magic (literally or figuratively):-sorcery, witchcraft.]
So be very discerning and ALWAYS ask the HOLY SPIRIT OF YAH for Wisdom [ James 1:5] that you may understand HIS Word to sift out truth from fiction or truth from half truths, that HE may guide your feet to [ Psalm 119:105] where HE may want you to go and to whom, if any, that HE may want you to go to.
Also that most of all, HE would teach you about the power and authority that HE has placed in you, even from the foundation of the world [ Ephesians 1:4-6]; and which HE reinforced in the forming of the template [Adam] of material man [ Genesis 1:26 ] when HE [ELOHIM- I.E. THE PLURALITY OF HIMSELF] said Let US make man in our own image and likeness; and again when YESHUA/JESUS said that you can do all that HE does and even more [ John 14:12]
May YAH continue to Keep you. In YESHUA MIGHTY NAME.AMEN.
Just some thoughts on Revelation 12, it covers the past and the future up to the beginning of the 3.5 years of tribulation.
Part 1
Revelation 12:1-5 A wonder in heaven a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet. Genesis 37:9-10 With Joseph is the 12 stars, the Sun, the moon, Jacob, and the mother represent Israel, the same woman all through this chapter to verse 17.
This is before the birth of the man-child, we see this woman represents Israel and the righteousness of the ancient fathers and prophets who labored through the years, and persecutions, as they groaned and longed for the promised Messiah, the promised seed of Abraham. The righteous physical Israel longing in pain for their coming Messiah represents the Woman in birth pain, Isaiah 26:17-19Micah 4:9-10.
Another wonder in heaven is the red dragon/Satan who cast a third of the stars/angels to the earth this will happen in the future. The dragon stood before the woman to devour the child. Satan through Herod and the Roman empire tried to kill Jesus as soon as He was born, Matthew 2:13-16. Israel birthed the Messiah/Jesus through the tribe of Judah who will rule the nations with a rod of iron Revelation 2:27Revelation 19:15.
After Jesus's resurrection, He was caught up to God and his throne, Ephesians 1:20-21. Verse 6 is what the woman will do after Satan and his angels are cast down to this earth, for 1260 days we see the same event in verse 14 a time and times and half a time, this is 3.5 years to be in the future. God will preserve a remnant and give a place of special divine protection for His people during these 3.5 years,
Just some thoughts on Revelation 12 it covers the past and the future up to the beginning of the 3.5 years of tribulation.
Part 2
Revelation 12:7-10 We have the war in heaven and Satan and his angels are cast out of heaven down to the earth and will not have any more access to heaven.
Verse 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Is this the angels that overcame Satan and his angels? No. This is about us who are here during the tribulation, we overcome because of the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony and loved not our lives unto death.
The Greek word here translated overcame is nikao meaning to conquer, prevail, victorious, overcome. Perseverance, and faith that is referred to many times in Revelation, Rev. 1:3Rev. 1:9Rev. 2:26Rev. 3:12Rev. 7:14Rev. 14:12Rev. 21:7, and more. We who are living will be here, the blood Jesus shed for us, our faith, and the word of our testimony we will overcome even if we face death, and many will, Rev. 13:15.
Verses 12-17 there is rejoicing in heaven but a warning to those who are here on earth, do we take this warning to heart, horrific times are coming, and many are looking to be taken out but Scripture does not support that. The devil knows his time is very short and he has great wrath.
Satan persecutes the woman/Israel trying to keep the kingdom from being set up, preventing the fulfillment of the promises to Abraham and David. The wings of a great eagle symbolize it will give a swift escape, to her place wherever that may be, Hosea 2:14-15, but it is for the same amount of time as in verse 6 a time and times and half a time, the 3.5 years of tribulation.
Satan the serpent will try to wash Israel away with a flood, but the earth swallows it up. This flood could be a wave of water or more likely an invasion of an army.
the promise in Genesis has nothing to do with humanity. The seed mentioned in Genesis 22 and Galatians
is clearly identifying Christ as the one promised.
You stated, "We do not know if this was referring that women have "seed" as in ova
I can assure you this has nothing to do with "seed" as in ova. In Genesis 22 its Abraham's seed!
I also don't believe God had to created male DNA in a sperm He put into marry to fertilize her ovum or if God placed the male DNA directly into her ovum to conceive Jesus. God didn't have to do that with Adam.
The Scripture states that the Angel of the Lord came to Joseph in a dream and said "for that which is CONCEIVED in her is of the Holy Ghost. Conceived "Gennao in the Greek" means to procreate.
In Isaiah 7:10-14 Jesus's birth was to be a miraculous sign!
"Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Satan is declared here as having a seed also, so this is definitely talking about something other than biological birth. It's a title of a being.
They are Identified in the same passage as a "it" and "his"
(Here follows; And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between "thy seed" and "her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.)
I believe this goes beyond Eve and also Mary as we see it climax in Revelation, Particularly in Revelation 12:5-17.
The woman mentioned in Genesis 3:15 is also to be persecuted! "And I will put enmity between thee "AND THE WOMAN", and between thy seed and her seed;
Agape

Part 2.
Replacement Theology.
Here's why it matters and why these particular promises is was not fulfilled in the Church.
The church was never brought out of Egypt and promised a land here on earth with the tabernacle of David being restored with this action being a spectacle for all the world to see to glorify God.
Just a few of many Examples;
2) Jeremiah 16:14-15"Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
Good night.
Other passages;
Blessings.
God bless,
RLW

Thank you, brother.
God bless,

Revelation 12:9-11

Matthew 23 Matthew 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
Jesus caused the sacrifice and oblation to cease because it pointed to Him. Matthew 27:51, the veil of the temple rent, and Hebrews 10.

Revelation 12:17 Continued
1 John 2:1 Continued

Your post has attracted a lot of comments.
Do not be confused.

The righteous physical Israel longing in pain for their coming Messiah represents the Woman in birth pain, Isaiah 26:17-19 Micah 4:9-10.
Israel birthed the Messiah/Jesus through the tribe of Judah who will rule the nations with a rod of iron Revelation 2:27 Revelation 19:15.

1:3 Rev. 1:9 Rev. 2:26 Rev. 3:12 Rev. 7:14 Rev. 14:12 Rev.

Thanks for responding.
Yes, Christ humanity comes from the woman but
the promise in Genesis has nothing to do with humanity.
The woman mentioned in Genesis 3:15 is also to be persecuted! "And I will put enmity between thee "AND THE WOMAN", and between thy seed and her seed;
Good night and God bless.
