Loving your enemies: A scriptural study

If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee. ( Proverbs 25:21-22). 2 Kings 6:21-23 reads:

And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them? 22And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master. 23And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.

The back story here is that God used Elisha to blind these men who had gone after them in the first place because Elisha had foreknowledge of where their formations would be ahead of time. There are a lot of other things going on in this passage but for this study I wanted to point out that although the law was pretty much focused on Israel and often the enemies were set out for total destruction due to their sins (often of child sacrifice) God still showed some of these principles in the Old Testament.

The main thrust of this focus is in such characters as Daniel as well as Jeremiah where those taking Israel captive showed them mercy and they were actually promoted in status there. Daniel and his companions only drew the line with serving other gods and edicts of that type such as the golden idol image Nebuchadnezzar set up that they couldn't worship. Often scripture shows the enemies were aware of God allowing Jerusalem to be destroyed because of their sins better than the Jews themselves seemed to understand. This shows the principal of whoever is on God's side ( Joshua 5:14). Often the enemy is within and God uses other nations for chastisement. Food for thought..

    Jesse,

Your humor amuses me! Actually, the workshop will be primarily for woodworking projects that we plan to learn to do together. I am looking forward to this, too. I am learning to use power tools, although Steve watches over me to be sure I am doing it all right. When I want to do things on my own I go to my friend's house and we experiment with these tools without "guy" interference. We are capable of learning in the same way they learned how to use power tools, but there is still some vestige of "old-fashioned" male thinking in our men.

My hope is that God will make a way for our finances to stretch in such a way to include a master bath so that Steve will be more willing to begin that soon. I know that he would like us to have this, too. But he historically has put what he plans to do first and what I would like second. I do not ask for much. We have been in our home 30 years and this is the first remodel (and perhaps the last) we have done. Our home was so outdated and in need of replacing most interior elements because they had spent their "life use" for the most part even when we moved in. We have waited a very long time to do this and we both are so happy with how things have come together and turned out. Steve is very pleased with how I designed the remodel as he was unable to envision any possible changes let alone determining the best use of space and flow of design for movement throughout he home. I am very thankful that we have been able to do what we have done so far.

We are only building one deck 12' x 30' with a roof to cover it. Then there is landscaping around it to clean up the effects of the construction. We will make a gravel fire pit next to the deck and re do a bit of lawn. After completing the fence, there will be landscaping to do along that and some leveling of the lawn and reseeding. I love the landscaping part. Bought some nice plants today for that part.

But the need for the bath is crucial for us until God calls us home.

    (2 Peter Part 7b):

    2 Peter 1:7 Continued

Both in this list, and the one in 1 John Chapter 4, it tells us that love is the most spiritually mature stage and process a person can be in. AGAPE is not something a human being can produce. Galatians 5:22 tells us that AGAPE love is produced by the Holy Spirit. It's the same love that God loved us with.

In fact, 1 John Chapter 4 tells us that God is love. Love is His nature, His quality. And He is concerned about our spiritual welfare, so He sent His Son to die for us. When you reach AGAPE love as a mature point in your walk with the Lord, it means by now you've lost everything. Now it's whatever the Lord wants, and whatever I can do for my brothers and sisters in Christ. But what about what I want? Eventually I have to come to the point to where I have no agenda, I'm not going anywhere, I don't have to be anywhere, so that God's AGAPE love can influence my life!

Now in Verses 8 through 11, we have the participation in the entrance to heaven. There are some who might not know what the bible teaches about entrance into heaven for the believer. Both Peter and Paul taught this. Paul taught it more extensively as we'll see here in a moment. But there will be a difference in heaven among Christians. Spiritually, we will all have a spiritual body, and we will all be the same, but we will be different in development.

    (2 Peter Part 7a):

2 Peter 1:7 - And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

    And in the stage of godliness, let it produce brotherly kindness to you;

That's the word PHILADELPHIA, brotherly love. It is interesting that the last two have to do with love. And they are the last two phases, or stages of spiritual growth. Everything else is a struggle. I've got to endure, I've got to make it, I've got to trust the Lord, and it's back and forth and all over the place. Oh yea, and I got to love my brothers too, like you can fit that in somewhere!

But this is the love for the family of the Lord. It's where you're at peace with God and you know Him. He's in control of your life, and you can just let go and trust Him, not because of a principle that you follow, but because you know Him. And you can be sensitive to the brothers and sisters in Christ. As a matter of fact, as you go through these stages of growth, you become more sacrificial, more giving up of yourself.

The first five have to do with giving up yourself to the Lord to go through all of these phases. Every one of these phases is just kind of telling you to let go. It's a struggle between you and the Lord, and how much you're going to trust Him, and how much you're going to give over to Him, and how much you're going to let go.

But the last two have to do with the sacrificial relationship with the body of Christ, the family of the Lord. Let your reverence, your attitude that you have now in respect to the Lord, let out of that grow a love for the family of God. And lastly: And in brotherly love, let it supply AGAPE. The word charity in the King James is the word AGAPE love.

    (2 Peter Part 6b):

    2 Peter 1:6 Continued

    And in patience, or endurance, let it produce godliness;

That's the word reverence towards God. And you might ask why in the world is that way up there? Well, if you notice in our daily lives, if we're under extremely difficult circumstances, and we are called upon by the Lord to endure, but we murmur and complain about it, we get mad at the Lord about it, and we say get me out of this because I don't want to do this.

If we say I don't want to have to trust you, or I can't trust you, then we begin to express our lack of reverence to God Himself. And it is interesting that once we reach the phase of being able to endure, because of the control God has over our life from within, because of our personal relationship with Him, it's interesting how our attitude towards the Lord changes!

The Lord is capable. He's sufficient. I'm not mad at Him anymore, so I can respect and reverence God, and I can tell people. I can make it through my situation because the Lord is sustaining me, and I know Him. And people can see Christ in your life, His influence, and His presence, and that you know Him.

    (2 Peter Part 6a):

    2 Peter 1:6 - And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

And in the stage of knowledge, let it supply temperance. The word temperance in the dictionary is defined as self-control. But I don't wish to use that term because it makes it sound like you need to get a grip on yourself or something. Literally, the Greek word means not self-control, but the control of self. It's made up of two words. Number one, in, and the word grip. It depicts and expresses the control of God's Spirit on a person's life. It is a Spiritual control of one's life.

And notice how it's building off of interaction and participation with the divine nature comes knowing Him, and when you come to know Him, it produces a control over yourself. That influence, that relationship, is a control over one's life.

Next, and to temperance, or the control of self, patience; That's the Greek word for endurance. Remember that longsuffering is the word for slow in human reaction towards people, but this one, HUPOMENO, means to remain under or endure circumstances.

So, I will not be able to endure my circumstances spiritually until my interaction with the divine nature produces the qualities of His nature. And coming to know Him personally and intimately, which produces the control of His Spirit over my life, and when His Spirit has a grip and control over my life, I can remain under. It's a stage of growth, being able to remain under and not have to go anywhere or do anything to escape any situation.

    GiGi,

Sounds like your home will be very nice when finished. Two large decks, very nice! We have one deck out back and it's nice to sit out and enjoy the view when the weather is nice. We are up on a hill so our view of the valley behind us is beautiful.

We still need two broken windows replaced, a new banister leading down the steps from the rear garage door, a new back garage door, rain gutters replaced, and our deck pressure washed and re-finished. All these things were damaged from very large hail and 83 mph wind.

There's a difference between complaining and being concerned. In no way did I feel like you were complaining. I did pray for your situation last night and I agree with your way of thinking and priority. Being a guy, I also can understand where Steve is coming from. I couldn't wait to put together my workshop, but now that it is finished, I hardly spend much time in it. The excitement seemed to quickly wear off, sort of like being excited about buying exercise equipment and shortly after the excitement is gone!

To me, it sounds like what you are wanting to have done would take much less time to do than it would to build a workshop from scratch. So, I do hope and pray that Steve might take that into consideration.

When we lived in California, we didn't have stairs and never wanted them, same reason. My wife is 65 and I turn 65 later this year. But we moved to the Midwest where almost every house has a basement (Stairs!)

I hope you get your master bath first. I was pondering on this last night, and I thought maybe if you were to tell Steve how excited you are for him to get started on building his workshop so you can put a craft room and indoor garden in there, maybe he might not be in such a hurry anymore. But then I thought that might backfire and then I would be on your "mud list" for a while!

My prayers go out to you both, and I pray for your health. I trust whatever the Lord's will is, will be satisfying for you both.

    God Bless!!!

    Jer.29 . 9-10 "70 years"

"For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the Lord./ For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place."

What is the difference between 70 years and 70 weeks?

Thus saith the Lord establishes 70 years His promise while 70 weeks refers to sons of perdition their judgment.

The beast has authority to blaspheme the name of God which is from the dragon. You have seen false preachers, and they descend upon the Capitol Hill to make a show over their prize catch at the National Prayer Breakfast,- whether Southern Baptist pastor of Pastor from Dallas, or from John Hagee Ministries their lies are not in the name of the Lord, as God warns here. The dragon has given the beast 42 months but 70 weeks are appointed for "to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness." (Dan.9.24)

God has arranged the angels in order to bring in everlasting righteousness. " And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men./And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them."(Rev.9.15-16)

This tags and the tag of 70 weeks differentiate the will of God from that of Satan.

God has also set up exactly where Armageddon shall occur: "For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty." These unclean spirits are from the dragon. "for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition/Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God." ( 2 Thess 2.3-4)

    Hi GiGi,

I appreciate your kind words. God bless you.

    Dear Bemtivi,

If you believe the gospel truth concerning Jesus-who He is and what He has done to save us-and put your faith in him alone for all that is needed to be made new, alive, and reconciled to God in Jesus, then you can be assured that you have been made one with Christ already and, being united to Christ, you are also united to the Father. It is the Holy Spirit who does these things in us. The Spirit is also the one who creates in us a desire to walk with Jesus closely, empowering us to live godly lives in this wicked world and to become more and more like Jesus moment by moment.

Therefore, be encouraged, you have what you are requesting here in prayer! It is easy to doubt that this is truly happening in us as we see our own weaknesses and our lack of fighting against sin. But God's Word to us stands true no matter how we feel. We are saints in Christ sanctified and set apart in Him, yet still sinners while in this world.

My counsel to you today is to continue to call on Him to help you. Continue to read Scripture often and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you to understand it as you read it. Seek fellowship with another trustworthy Christian friend to speak often about the Lord and to pray for each other. Avail yourself to opportunities to worship with others and be taught by one who is called to preach and teach. In pursuing these things you will certainly grow in your faith and your relationship with Jesus will deepen and become more and more solidified.

I will lift up your requests in prayer today. Please come back to us often. We are a community here that cares for one another.

I would like to ask for prayer - to be one with Christ, to have a relationship with Him as it says in John 16:24-33 and John 17:17, and to have the mind of Christ ( 1 Corinthians 2:16).

    Thank you!

    Correction

Determined Will of God, a Spirit is that the emblem of the Lamb slain is His fulness is etablished in the world unseen. As the Father of light the light of the Lamb has to have the same fulness. So in the world made to appear is framed by the word of God there shall be no variations. It is perfect that natural sun is not required. (Heb.11.3)

    Please read it as follows

"Determined Will of God is that his fulness should dwell in his Son. Even as the emblem of the Lamb slain is His fulness is established in the world unseen. As the Father of light, the light of the Lamb, it has to have the same fulness. So in the world made to appear it is not the natural world but framed by the word of God, there shall be no variations. It is perfect that natural sun is not required. (Heb.11.3)

The Spirit sets numbers accordingly to distinguish what is holy and what is not. There are no weeks mentioned in the will."

    Rev.13.1 "42" "Blasphemy" (2 of 2)

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

(Heb.11.3) The seven Spirits of God as symbols of eye designate the Fulness of God residing in the Lamb. The Jews who conspired against him imputed the power of Beelzebub to him. That is blasphemy.

The beast as the son of perdition has seven heads but with ten horns and ten crown. The whole number of seven explain that he is the spirit gone rogue and sin was found on him."Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."(Ezek.28.15). God does not judge any before time. The Son as the Word of God shall consume the beast with the brightness of his coming. The beast shall kill the two witnesses and how is set forth in the Acts, "And he(Herod) killed James the brother of John with the sword./And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also."(12.2-3, 23) But the Angel struck him down. The Spirit gives us clear directions and there are no loose ends. With the endtimes it shall be. Armageddon is in heaven and not on earth. "and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them."(Rev.20.9) Ezekiel also refers to the beloved city.'The Lord is there' (Ezek.48.35b) The Spirit uses weeks, one time use, to indicate the mid air event. Dan.9.24-27. 7x10 where the number Ten indicates the law of sin and death. 'and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, "the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness." ( Rev. 16.10,13,2)

    ThevBride of Christ:

The ten virgins . While it can in a little measure be applied to the saved and unsaved ,in very truth it is in fact a message to the church . For a virgin by the very nature of things is a God given stare . In Romans Paul speaks about those under the law as ones who are likened unto thosemarried with husbands yet speaking of the churvh as presenting as " chaste virgins".

Therefore when the Lord spoke of10 virgins hevis speaking of the church among whom some are wiser and some foolish.

In every aspect but one all 10:are the saee. They all have their lamps lit . The world is in darkness .

They all are seeking or waiting for the groom . The unbeliever is indifferent to such things .

They all fell asleep . It is a matter of record of how many times people were asleep when they shouid have been awaken.

Did not the Lord say to the disciples the spirit is willing but te flesh is weak watch and pray therefore lest you fall into temptation ".Thry all heard the cry ." The bridegroom comes!" Thry all woke up thr6 all trimmed thrur lamps . Here comes the division . The5 wise has their vessels full the 5 foolish did not .

Nor couid the wise give them any but told them to go and buy some .

Wile they were gone the 5 wise entered into thec" marriage" When the 5 foolish came back and knocked ,te voice said " I know you not " meaning they were unrecognisable as the Bride ad they were barred from the ( note) marriage. On the day of judgement to some will be said " I never knew you" and will be barred from the kingdom .

To be BORN again is great but it is not an automatic entrance to the marriage that is to all true born children of God our " high calling" and we all need to be filled with the Spirit and continually so and awake and alert and praying that we might be found ready . Abraham ( the Father) sent his servant the Holy Spirit ) to seek outa bride for the Son of promise . Not out in the world but specifically " among his brethren "

    God's covenants and man's faithfulness

This posting is somewhat of a sequel to the last one today. It is important to recognize that there are multiple applications to some verses such as Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. This would tie in to Jeremiah 31:33 for instance But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

There are applications for believing Jews as well as Gentiles today (see Romans 10:12); but also of course there is a national sort of repentance for Israel in the last days as 2 Corinthians 3:14 indicates: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.

Many who are involved with what is called Replacement Theology would contest this concept. I am not here to argue the point but just to declare wait to see before dismissing prophetic statements not yet fulfilled. God's covenants such as with Abraham were said to be everlasting; clearly certain things such as the need for circumcision as a physical sign of being in God's covenant isn't necessary today as indicated by many passages Paul quotes in the New Testament on this subject. Deuteronomy 10:16 apparently mentions this concept as a sort of precursor to how He operates today with the concept of Grace. The law is fulfilled in Christ; not abrogated.

Before I drift too far from the title of this discussion; I will make the statement that ultimately man cannot through sin eliminate the promises of God's covenant(s). The warning; however is that all men are subject to God and thus those who know better about the law for instance receive greater punishment if they don't get saved (see Luke 12:47). God first conv with Adam in a form of a covenant.

"And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury."

    Luke 21:2

"And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites."

    Luke 21:3

"And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:"

    Luke 21:4

"For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had."

How is sin different for those who are born again?

Hebrews 12:6 and many other like passages make it clear that God chastises everyone he loves. How does this operate?

When we consider that sanctification is only for this life and our death brings completion; as it were as we see in 1 Corinthians Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. ( 1 Corinthians 3:12-13 and other verses in that passage).

Given this context it is clear that God will use sin to develop our character. Again as I have enumerated very frequently on my posts it is our sin nature which is the origin of outer manifestations. Giving a simple illustration that which we are born in determines how we develop. Those TRULY saved will have a new nature and the old one has received its death blow but clearly we are subject to sin; as 1 John 1:8-10.

The greater question that often comes up is how Christ died for all of our sins "past present and future" then how can sin matter or even exist as it did before we are saved? Of course ALL sin at the time Christ died was future on our behalf. The Lord can see us as we will appear due to the eventual inevitable outcome; or perhaps better put despite ourselves. We see in verses such as the one in Corinthians already referred to that once in God's presence there is an instant judgment as He cannot look onto sin; and we can't stand in His presence without the refinement being made complete. Thus we should seek to work on things now rather than suffer great loss then since none of us know how much time we have left on earth.

Lamentations 3:22 says It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. In this passage we see the events at the fall of Israel despite the years of warning Jeremiah gave. This is an example of corporate sin; but God's faithfulness to His covenants eventually

The reduction of the gospel of Jesus Christ .

It only took the children of Isreal just over TWO years to reach the banks of Jordan and the promised land . Where God told them " I have given it to you go in and posses the land .

Paul warns us the church not to be like them who entered not in because of unbelief .

I used to think that unbelief was simply not believing God . It is more than that it is also believing the wrong message .

Paul also warns us not to be like Eve also who take note also believed the wrong message .

The church of which I am a member by the grace of God has made the wandering in the wilderness fir 40 years the Christian NORM . We have made Jordan death and the promised land heaven . This is simply not true . For while Jordan does mean a sort of death ( descending) baptism into his death . There are no "giants " or cities to conquer in heaven . Populated by the heathen .

For while they so wandered they had miracles every day twice on Saturday . Their cloths did not wear out they had manna from heaven the fire by night to cloud by day and God never left them . They were still outside of Gods will . And only two were found willing and ready when God said go in and pisses the land . God is no tyrant but let it be understood he is not democratic either but He does Have His own imperatives .

When Jesus was driven/ led into the wilderness he was proved and tried and it is not coincidence that the first temptation was replied with " man shall not live by bread alone "

The wilderness was their and our boot camp . It is not to be perminant it is where we are changed from ' civilians' or slaves into a soldiers . It is time to gird up our loins and start believing God . For the Bride of Christ will " come out of the wilderness terrible as an army with banners leaning upon her beloved" .

Milk is for new BORN again meat demands a measure of growing into maturity.

From " little children " to young men " in whom the Word of God dwells richly .

    The anointing of God :

The eternal resting place of the Holy Spirit is the Word of God.

When Jesus was baptised the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove " rested upon him".

Noah set out a dove Twice . The first time it found no rest and came back to him who sent it.

The second time it found a place of rest and came with a token of that rest .

In the Old Testament the Holy Spirit came " upon " certain people to enable them t do the work of God .

In the new it not only came upon but filled those believers ( more than once) .

In as much and by the same measure we honour the Word of God and keep it in as much and by the same measure the anointing abides in you.

We can quench the Spirit and we can grieve the Holy Spirit as believers . We can resist the Holy Spirit if unbelievers .

How far or near He is depends greatly upon our attitudes and obedience .

"I am crucified with christ" Now that is quite a statement. " I am buried with Christ" That's another .

" I am risen together with Christ" and made to sit together with Christ .

Christ means anointed . So when Jesus spoke of some saying " lo here is Christ or there is christ " he was not saying they wil say o here is Jesus but the anointing .

Don't go running after them for it is not there at all it is always on the Word and if you go chasing after them it's line chasing that pot of gold thry say is at the end of the rainbow .

God means us not only to be BORN again by the Word of God and the Spirit of God but to be also filled and overflowing with the Spirit being led by Him into all truth and in the light of life .

It was to Christian's Paul was praying for that " the eyes of our understanding being opened that we might see and comprehend what is the exceeding greatness of His power thatbis towards us who believe .."

In another place " that I might know the pioneer of His resurrection .." you can't know the power of His resurrection unless you are "made conformable to His death ".

God like in many other things is being taken out of the langauge .Partners in place of husband and wife . Gender in place of sex .

Humans instead of Man or Mankind . Community instead of Neighbourhood etc

We are not humans which simply reduces man to a species .

Words are expressions of thought and even our own thinking must have solid foundations if our thinking has not therevis confusion at best mental instability at worse.

We are Mankind overall . On the foundation of Gods word that states every seed brings forth fruit after its own kind . (Genesis )

We are not a fish kind or a dog kind nor indeed some sort of ape kind but Man kind .

Mankind overall . Man in general " let us make man in our own image " says God and we are men or women in particular . There is nothing else .

If therefore someone thinks or feels they are what they are not ,it is not God that is wrong ,nor His law nor the whole of creation nor even a persons own body for what a person is is writ far deeper than any surgeon can cut.

But it is for whatever reason a persons very subjective feelings and thinking that are wrong and to which they are in bondage to .

A railway station announcer in the UK was hauled over the coals for saying over the tannoy " Goid morning ladies and gentlemen boys and girls ":One person complained because they" felt excluded" . To their shame the railway company area public apology . It was not the announcer who excluded that person but rather that person excluded themselves .

Sin ,all sin seperates us from God if we die in our sin we will be separated from God for eternity . That wouod be hell .

The church doesn't do anyone any favours nor honours God when it conforms to the world in word and deed .

Watch and pray for the langauge we use reveals the heart .

The message for today is not the antichrist!!!! It's not even the rapture as such but rather it is the Bride of Christ and the church must get herself ready .

For it is impossible for the last church to be less than the first church .

Many think that as soon as you are BORN again you are automatically in the Bride and while one or two verses of scripture might suggest that there are too many other ones that teach otherwise .

For even as one swallow does not make a Sumer nor does one verse make or prove a doctrine even though it might stare it ( in part).

Every true born child of God is called to that high calling . To be BORN again is to qualify to " run the race" in the Olympics it does not " win yiu the prize " unless you run .

The world is at best a spectator .

Jesus is called the " second Adam and in another place " the last Adam" Gevis the second because he is likened unto the first but after the first there is no other till the Lord. He is called the last because after Him there is no other .

The first was made a living soul and created out of the dust of the earth and God created a " help meet for him" out of a rib of his body while in a deep sleep . The Bride of Christ will come out from His body .Not the whole body but a body out of a body .

Out of the 12 tribes of Isreal 11 of them h received an inheritance but Levi who was a body out of the body they had no inheritance for " God was their inheritance".

Out of the 12 disciples though they all followed the Lord ( save one) It was Peter James and John who " went a little further " and saw and participated in things the others did not and while at the last supper they all said " Is it I?" It was John alone who saud " who is it !" He knew it was not him .

The Bride of Christ is a high calling to which we are all if His calked to .

The 10 virgins . A state that is of God not man thus all are 'saved' . For in that Paul in Romans spoke of being " married" under the law but the church asa" chaste .

"The hope of the wicked will die with them "

There is uvh talk about' world faiths' ' that are not faith at all but a vain and empty hope that when you enter eternity and are faced with the Spiritual reality of a Holy God your 'hope' will die with you .

For it is not founded on that great work of God in Christ at Calvary but on the foolish and vain works of the flesh .

When Abel offered AThe blood of a lamb . He was in reality confessing his sin the righteousness of God and put his faith in Gods promise of that "Lamb of God that wouod take away the sin of the world" He offering thus was " resoected".

Cain on the other hand brought but the fruits of the field ,the works of his hand and by the swat of his brow from land already cursed by God .

And God had no respect unto his offering . For he was seeking to establish his own righteousness by his own 'good religious works and in doing so denied Gods righteousness and soughtt therefore his own glory not Gods .

For Calvary gives not one iota of any glory to man but all the Glory to Ood .

It makes a man speak the truth about himself eve as it does about God and puts a man's faith not in his own strength but inthe power of God .

World 'faiths' is an attempt to plant in all mens minds that there are many ways to God they are at root all the same . The scriptures and the Spirit of truth deny it . And ALL the religions of this world have their root in Cain and their seed is of " the seed of the serpent " and by their fruits shall you know them .

We therefore should have no " respect" for such offerings even as " Our Father " has none for what I see the Father-doing that do I said Jesus . Who are we to do different?

We give no ground to such foolishness but rather speak the truth for the truths sake and in love .

When the Lord was crucified he was between two convicted criminals one on either side . The world is a master at putting the righteous with the wicked and saying Look they are all the same .

I think we should from time to time remind ourselves as to what faith IS and what it is not .

For we hear a lot about world " faiths" that are not and there is a lot of misunderstanding of what is faith.

Hebrews gives the true definition of what faith is that dictionaries do not( for they are of the world ).

" Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things as yet unseen"

Faith is not blind as any suppose but rather sees or understands tat which is not seen with the naked eye .

For we all have two pairs of eyes at least the eyes with which we see the world we live in and the " eyes of our understanding" ( Ephesians) . ALL men have this faith according to what faith IS . For " God has given to Everyman a measure of faith to profit withall " but not all men have their faith in God .

Now faith is te substance if things hoped for .." The word and promise of the bus company in London is that the nuber 24 wil go from Victoria to Hampstead and if you stand at the right bus stop at therighttimete us wil come.

Now you can believe that till te day you die you might even see the bus but if you do not obey the or conform to theWord/ promise you will the bus . You I might think to stand somewhere else and think the company is obliged to stop for you ,it won't nor is it obliged to do so . True " believing" is putting you believing into action and going to the bus stop in this case .

By so doing you give substance to your hope in the promise . Abel offered a sacrificed lamb , Cain did not .

When you see people at the bus stop yiu inevitably think the bus is coming if none ,you've possibly missed it . Thus you have not only given substance to your hope but by you standing there in faith believing is the evidence of things as yet unseen .

A farmer when he sows his seed is doing so in faith believing in the ' promise' inherent in every seed and every farmer knows the harvest he will reap in the future by the seed he has sown in the past .

    Rev.13.4-5 "42" (1 of 2)

"And power was given unto him to continue forty and two months." The power of the beast came from he dragon. On the other hand the authority of Jesus Christ came from God."All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." It was determined before the worlds began. (Mt.28.18;'hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof,' is the proof. Rev.5.5) The beast is every thing that Christ is not. More of that by and by. Now what does the number signify. The Spirit sets the generation of Jesus Christ in multiples of Three. "So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations;" and so on. (Mt.1.27) The Spirit uses the earthly ministry of Jesus as a standard to measure the events coming under the history of nations. So the nation of Israel has a tag of time, times and half a time inserted to distinguish it from God's will in fulfilment. We see the lasds who jeered at Elisha without provocation were 42 in number. The prophet cursed them in God's name and two bears came out of nowhere to punish them.( 2 Kgs 2.23-24)

Curiously enough the term of office for POTUS is 4 years same as the command number for the Word. " And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." The loss of 2020 is something we have heard even this day. His pride took a hit. But the wound goes farther when the covering Cherub was cast out of the mountain of God. (Ezek.28). This is a scar that would not leave the sons of perdition so their lies come not from their mouth, "The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies." (Psa.58.3)

His number are multiples of 6 so 7x6 makes up 42. "having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy." The number 10 is that he falls under the law of sin and death. The Lamb slain carried seven eyes and seven horns.

    2 Thess.2.10--12"In them that perish"

"And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved./And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:/ That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

God known who are His. God sent his only Son in good faith. He was begotten Son and 'begotten' refers to the Word which was with God. I speak a word and my listener believes it. Thre is a change in position in him, is it not? It is thus the Son showed his obedience, and he in human likeness declared the gospel of his Father. In his death and resurrection he realed it as the gospel of Christ. St Paul refers to those who heard but not with the ear of faith. There is a gulf between hearing and listening to love the truth. This open valley is the wayside in the Parable of the Sower. One who loves the truth need not hide parts of it in order to pursue a certain line of action. An example I shall give. Christians United for Israel, CUFI for short bring out new of atrocities a individuals committing atrocities' terrorist kills pregnant woman' while there is not a murmur over the ethnic cleansing ,famine as weapon of war, mostly women and children dying caught in the 'strikes'. Why did Jesus say, let the ded bury their dead? Jesus came to save lives and his 'turn the other cheek' doctrine is to give glory to God who is love. Instead what does nationalism does? National Prayer Breakfast brings so many Pastors who do not believe the truth and on the contrary has pleasure in unrighteousness. They may yet build megachurches and found Liberty Univ., but the Junior simply shows what his patrimony means to him. They loved not truth but taught lies instead. What are we to meddle in Satan's business? Fullness of God who is a Spirit must be to love God 'with all thy heart and with all thy mind.'

    2 Thess.2. 8-9 "Brightness of His coming"

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:/Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders," Devil sins from the beginning. In the garden of Eden the serpent coming to Eve to beguile her is one example. The little horn or Antiochus Epiphanes IV setting up a pig in the temple is another example. It is to which St Paul refers.

Against these sons of perdition we have several references to the host of heaven. " I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left."( 1 Kgs 22.19). Then we have another throng, "And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands." (Rev.5.11) Moses refers to it "And he said, The Lord came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.(Deut.32.2; Hab.3.3). There shall come a point, this fiery law shall deliver the knockout blow to the armies he has assembled on the earth. There are white supremacist groups readying for Armageddon, and they are play-acting as knights on a crusade on their harley davidsons,- they have delusions on weeds, and like Don Quixote imagine their swords will cut and they are in the US army as well, Only what they lack is truth. God has a sword of the Spirit with which he will consume the hordes of them and along with every sons of perdition, with the brightness of coming. " And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean." ( Rev. 19.14)

Certainty of the four beasts before the throne "We shall reign on the earth" from the Word. Rev.4.8, 5.10
