    (2 Peter Part 15a):

    2 Peter 2:13 - And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

And they shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. That's their presumption. They don't wait until nighttime to go out and sin. They do it in the daytime where everybody can see them. They don't care!

Interesting, the word pleasure is the word luxury (TRUPHEN). Luxury comes from a word that means to live softly. It's a cushion. I want a better house because it's more comfortable. I want a different car because it's more comfortable. We're always looking for comfort. And that's what luxurious means. To live a luxurious life is to live a comfortable, cushioned, soft life.

I'm reminded of the prophets in the Old Testament. They wore coarse material. You know, the itchy kind. You can't sit still, you can't lay on it, and it's itching all of the time. And the prophets wore this not only because it was the clothing of the poor, but so that they would not become comfortable and lose touch with reality. A very interesting thought, isn't it? Sometimes a person can get caught up in a luxurious lifestyle and that's what they spend most of their time and focus on.

When we fall into some money, we're looking at how to spend it. How can I become more comfortable? How can I make life a little softer, a little easier? And then we lose touch with reality and our need of Christ. This is not teaching us that we should not own things, just as long as we don't let those things own us!

    Born as a Christian,

my childhood and teenage years were spent in the church.

I remember it like it was yesterday,

    walking there with my grandparents.

We would go on foot, singing as we went and coming back happy. Every day. I remeber how the church was always full, even though it was small.

There were dance presentations and worship, and everyone had an opportunity.

Ever since I was little, I did everything in church - I just didn't preach. I took part in all of them - from the children's group to the elderly. There ere only evening services, but over time the church began to empty out. Sometimes we would stop by the homes of some members to help them not get discouraged. they were always members who lived close to the church - sometimes right next door. Later my grandfather started alternating with another church her himself built. I remeber the construction well, and i remember taking my childhood friend there.

a second that church didn't fill up much either, but he used to say that if he didn't go, he would lose the day. That's why I love remembering the church the way he did. It was the path God chose for my grandparents. These days, I prefer smaller cell churches. But wherever there are peopler, there will be different opinions on how God's work should be done. I think maybe He didn't want it to be crowded - out of mercy for out family.

There are som many fun and loving memories.

Dear friends and chosen ones. Lately I have met a lot of people that I have to make "room" for in my heart. It's a little hard to understand maybe? When I write room I mean that I HAVE to continue and have a place where I don't have judgmental thoughts. Professing Christians, do they just confess to me or are they believers? My question to the Lord. Because when I hear what they say and I emphasize having patience and understanding and yet I hear a lot of unreasonableness. Oh I am patient. It's almost like they don't take it seriously. Then I get sad and upset about the ignorance they show towards the Lord. I am completely convinced that I am in the right place at the moment. But I understand little of the idea behind meeting so many unreasonable people. Not only unreasonable, but also those who stand against God simply because (those that I see) take liberties that in turn bind them to earthly life. Therefore I doubt their sincerity to me. Now I know that the Lord has the last word and can defend Himself. Even though I share God's word with them, and pray for them, Go visit and care. This is where I must have room, because I think of the Holy Spirit that they do not blaspheme. As you Richard H Priday mention today.

So a question to everyone, do you think that only non-believers can blaspheme the Holy Spirit? Because I actually think that it is impossible for someone who has tasted the gifts and life of the Holy Spirit to go back to the time before meeting Jesus. No one would reject that, right? Free will you say, now yes my life with Jesus is free, but He also demands a little, doesn't He :) Therefore I will not reject my actions, my prayer and time for these people. Maybe I should. If not everyone, including me, can sit alone on our mountains of furrow. Or I can stop worrying about their well-being and let them sail their own sea. Thank you for your attention, God bless u all in Jesus name. Please pray for me. And the misguided. 2 Tim 3:1-5

    Hello brother Spencer,

Yes, Paul does mention these things also. You can sort of sense Paul's compassion in Acts 20:31. I notice in this section of scripture that you mention ( Acts 20:29-31) that they (wolves in sheep clothing) will be coming from both directions, both inside the church, and outside the church. And this is the theme of Peter's letters, warning believers of both of these threats.

Blessings to you also in Christ!

Those who shame others into giving 10 percent is motivated by greed in some cases. Ten percent quotas are poorly supported by scripture and the ones who preach tithing the loudest to others are the same ones benefiting from it. My question is if we are going to chose an Old Testament law to follow and if money is honestly not the motive then why only selectively chose that? Instead it could be wearing mixed clothing, or women having long hair and not wearing jewelry, or why not first observe the Sabbath as many don't, because that's one of the ten commandments. There's more Bible verse support for greeting strangers with a holy kiss on the cheek than there is for tithing, because there is examples in the New Testament.

If you watch TV you see a lot of fake people begging for more money so they can buy more jets. They have multiple mansions, yachts, and even admit to this- but this money comes from shaming people and manipulating them into tithing and "sowing a seed". Even one of my own family members used to be in ministry and sent out letters asking for money and he would use all the right keywords to coerce people into giving, but he just wasted it on expensive stuff for himself. I was sickened by it.

Today, there are hundreds of churches across cities all paying expensive building fees and utilities which sit empty and unused 6 days of the week instead of sharing. What if people just met in homes like the Bible originally modeled and we didn't pay any of this wasteful overhead in the first pace? Then instead of tithing to unnecessary building overhead we actually gave money directly to those in need around them- like homeless people or to help a child's health or education. Some charities have CEOS that make six or seven figure salaries. There is corruption everywhere, but giving directly to those in need is a better use of God's money IMO. You probably won't hear pastors say this because it could threaten their income.

    Brother,

You write,"Some like to emphasize rather mystical approaches it seems to connecting verses; gematria and other such things."

I think a comment may be appropriate here. The Spirit sets the signs, "and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years." God does not mention weeks in this context. Yet more than a millennia after reading the first chapter seven days are assumed for a week. In order to guide the reader from drawing wrong conclusions the Spirit uses numbers as tags. What makes the believer read it 144,000 it as actual number standing on mount Sion? God sets 120 years as man's life (Gen.6.3) Gospel of God calls man and God blesses him with heavenly blessings; the Son and Father work as one. He that has the Son has the Father as well. Indicative of this is 12x12= 144. The number10 simply tells that law is present. Whether decalogue or Law of the Spirit man's life is set in multiples of 10. I see no room for mysticism in the scripture but spirit of man having to with God a Spirit. Heresies come when man tries to read it according to his reason. Carnal wisdom is what troubles churches. They love their Cessationalism v. Continuation but they are nitpicking when the very first chapter of the Bible gives at the end of each day this formula: 'And the evening and the morning were....' Many are called but few are chosen'
  • Bennymkje - In Reply - 1 year ago
God gave you wisdom as much as He has given me. It is not for me to work with you but you have to work with God. Ask and it shall be given to you. Knocking at my door simply will not help you. So ask God and take it from there,

    Meditations. Gen.2.3 Blessing

"And God blessed the seventh day,"

This is Person specific. He set apart man so his sanctification begins and ends with Jesus Christ. St Paul refers him as called."But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." Both Power and Wisdom makes man no matter how foolish to be the sanctified one in his Son. (1 Cor.1.24,30) It is thus we have in the everlasting Covenant the man is set in a world blessed by God. Seven is a whole number.

What does it mean? " (God) who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. The garden is a microcosm to delineate it. "And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed."(2.8) What of earthly blessings? "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground," The living soul sets him basking in the salubrious air. "Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits."( Song 4.16)

Eating his pleasant fruits signifies the degree of intimacy between God and man. The name Eden refers to the Mountain of God. The river flowing from it supplies all the blessings man would require. He is "like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither;." As blessed of the Lord there is a warning as well,"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,"(Ps.1.1-2).

Luke 7:30 states But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

This verse was discussed in the ongoing sermon on Luke today; although I have never noticed until now that statement or considered the implications.

This dangerous action of disobeying God's messenger was to have profound implications which would bring the unique sin of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit later on for these religious leaders. They were exposed and set apart for this particular evil and Jesus said:

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. ( Matt. 12:31-32).

Consider this in the light of John the Baptist himself. He languished in prison and was asking through messengers if Jesus truly was the Messiah! We see this in Matthew 11:2-3 and then Jesus responds about ongoing miracles; in particular the blind being healed. This is important as no one had seen that miracle in the Old Testament; Elijah had raised a dead child in 1 Kings 17:17-24.

John 9 itself is quite a read; as the entire chapter is about a blind man being healed. Verse 32 is where the blind man after repeated interrogations on the subject rebukes the Pharisees since no one blind had ever been healed then they cast him out of their presence. Finally the man is revealed that Jesus is the "Son of Man" (verse 37) and he summarily worships Christ.

This is some pretty deep stuff and if I haven't gone over it would be good for a more detailed explanation (probably did each chapter in John when going over predestination as a concept).

The climax of the issue is Matthew 12:31-32 in regard to blasphemy of the Spirit. Sobering words.

Hello dear "Skxh45", I have just had some personal thoughts from 1999 confirmed by a film on YouTube by Billy Graham, that tithing is something completely different than what the church wants us to believe. The film on YouTube is titled "Thithing is a sin". This is a recommendation of the right kind. Remember that Jesus died on the cross once for all. By His resurrection and life, we can say in Christ. He lives in our hearts today. When we know that we will give a tenth of what He has set us free for. It means that we have once again taken the law upon ourselves and have been bound in a completely different dimension than in the freedom we have in Christ. But what is about giving from a pure and sincere heart is where Jesus wants us all to be. An act based on compulsion will never bring a single blessing. In the name of Jesus Christ we break this chain that has been placed upon you and others! Feel free to give as you feel strongly about giving a fold, 10 fold or 1000 fold. In Jesus Christ name, Amen

Dear sister everything else is of evil, it will bind you, it will make you a slave under the control spirit and manipulation. Unfortunately they are found in the churches around and that from people who themselves are bound in self-exaltation and pride. We all need to keep ourselves clean and pray to the Lord with a sincere heart that He will keep us in the good faith, freedom, and that He will enlighten us from His word. So that we may have the assurance of salvation. Thanks be to God the Father in Heaven in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, through the Kingdom of the Holy Spirit from now on and forever, Amen. Bee strong and stay close to the Lord Jesus. Love u in Christ.

I read from 1 Tim 4:1-11 today. As it is a bright sunny day here in the North Scandinavia.

While Everyman is it could be said entitled to their own thoughts ,but once expressed becomes an opinion . Taking the verse you later spoke of that Gods thoughts are higher than our thoughts clearly by that reasoning those thoughts expressed in scripture are higher than our own thoughts . Nevertheless our minds are to be renewed by the Spirit of God to be in line with scripture .

For in as much as all scripture was inspired by God to be so written by the same measure the Holy Spirit is needed to understand what is written ,for what knoweth the things of man save the spirit thatbis in man? Likewise then what knoweth the things of God save the Spirit of God " For we must face the fact that in the things of man it might be said Everyman is entitled to his opinion but even then it wouid be absurd to assert every opinion is of equal merit . But in the things of God it is not an opinion I or anybody needs but the truth not man's interpretation of it .

It was in the light of this that I replied in the way I did ,for while you said a number of things you did not argue or support by the scriptures why you said it .

God is a God of order and the scriptures have by that their own internal logic and reasoning . Thus while Gods thoughts ( as expressed in the scriptures) are higher than ours then His reasoning is of another order also as also His logic.

But that does not mean His reasoning cannot be followed or is unreasonable His Logic therefore while sometimes hard to understand ( see Peter) that does not mean it is illogical . Indeed Paul's letters to the Romans and Hebrews in particular are a master class in biblical reasoning and logic .That is designed to lead us all to the same conclusions as he had so that we might be all of the same mind and understanding .

I did not understand what you said because you gave no reasoning behind it that I could follow you may have good reasons to think as such but in all fairness you need in some measure show how you got there .

Here is something that struck me and may be of interest to you, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.: (Isa.55.9) So far, yet so close when you abide in Christ. Think it over heaven is where your heart is at rest. It is what you mean by entering into God's rest.

    Meditations- Gen.2.3 "Sanctification"

"And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."

In v..2 We have the definition of the work as the Spirit intented, and it our instruction in righteousness. The single line He gives from the two POV. In active voice,'God ended his work and from that of the Son, 'From all his work which he had made' he rested. My Father worketh hitherto, and I work' is what everlasting Covenant in Ch.1 indicated. Their perfect amity in purpose and work the Covenand sets up the scaffolding on which every visible or invisible thing must rest. This explains where sanctification creates a world framed by the word. Those who do not are children of disobedience.. They chose not to obey the call. " But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:"(1 Cor.1.30)

The Law is indicated by the whole number Seven. God decreed the day for His son. (Ps.2.6) Those who are chosen are thus begotten of the Word. " Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."(1 Pet.1.23)

Rest of God for which we are called knows only work that is done from within the Father-Son fellowship.

    Meditations- Gen.2.2 "Time to plant"

" And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made."

    The Preacher speaks of seasons. ' a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted' In the kingdom of God 'To every thing there is a season,' and When the Great Sower cast the seed it was meant to bear fruits and as surely as planted there shall be harvest, and the Lord shall say to the reapers,' but gather the wheat into my barn.',Mt.13.30;Eccle.3.1-2) God rests as a sower does, but the seed germinates and require looking after. He sends his angels, prophets so there is not God's calendar left for idling. Is there ever a holiday from holiness. Neither in heaven nor in earth., "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,/Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds";

    Dear Brother,

"but want to know there is some audience even if just a few or a dozen or so to these writings." Be encouraged nothing done for the glory of the Lord is ever lost. It is is my credo. We are not in a vacuum. David speaks of preaching righteousness to a great congregation. Cloud of witnesses are our audience. What is whispered shall be shouted from the rooftops.

A church environment is good for the flesh and what spiritual comfort one can have when the elders rabbi and the Pharisees were smug and would not come to the truth. They understood Jesus was the truth. They loved the praise of men so they dared not show thmeselves in the company of the true Light,

In the beginning God created the heVeN and the earth . Gen 1:1

It was not heaven that was in darkness but the earth . For heaven needs no sun or moon for God is the light thereof.

From verse 2 onwards it is all about the EARTH .

And the earth was without firm and void.

Thus we have the first heaven where Gods throne is or the spiritual .

THEN we have the fiirmiment that is called heaven that has waters above and waters below . Where the birds fly .

Then we have the third heaven ( earthly) and He made the stars also . The heaven where the sun and moon and stars reside.

Thus we have the three heavens .

Genesis 2 when it speaks of thus the heavens etc is speaking about the earthly two heavens which are recreated from Gen 1: 2 onwards .

    Thanks Brother Jesse.

It seems Paul and Peter warned of these false teachers and destructive heresies woulld be creeping in right after the Apostles departure!

You see Paul mentions something similar in Acts 20:29-31

"For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

    Thank again and God bless.

I am very much appreciative of the response; as I don't want to become egocentric but want to know there is some audience even if just a few or a dozen or so to these writings.

I keep noticing for those on YouTube that many young people are coming out of the occult in particular on fire for the Lord but often aren't properly discipled or in a church environment. There seems to be in my own local congregation due to several reasons a lack of those in the teenage demographic; although I noticed this in my last church as well; there were young couples with kids maybe up to 8 or 9 years old but few if any in the teenager range. From my experience the reformed churches are better in that demographic but often there is a problem with kids brought up in Christian circles which is good in one way but doesn't allow them often to realize just how great a deliverance that others have when they know they are delivered from darkness to light; i.e. the danger of being "born as a Christian" is a misnomer. If one is raised in Christianity they still need some sort of personal experience even if they have spent most of their time in church. Otherwise it becomes a legalistic experience with memorizing catechisms; or following routines without understanding a personal relationship with the Lord.

The contrast today between believing kids and worldly ones is certainly stark. Part of the issue is a lack of work ethic today that has infested youth and all part of the hedonistic society. Another issue I suppose is the lack of committment to faithfully attending church of those who actually do know the Lord that are parents today. The kids have to get a vision for themselves and not wait for their parents to wake up. This has gone several generations; this progressive rebellion.

Anyway just some rantings for today. Let me know if there is any subject I should delve into next.

    Agape; and thanks again.

    Hi Hope in Jesus Christ,

First of all, my sorry I had intended to reply earlier, but reply for my and message didn t go through. Thank you again for your message - it stirred my heart and helped me reflect deeper.

So, I completely agree. Your words reminded me of how the Lord continues to shape His people in love and truth. In a recent devotional on Deuteronomy 2, I was deeply moved by how God teaches us to respect the boundaries He has established, to trust His provision even in the wilderness, and to keep our hearts free from idolatry - even the subtle forms, like needing a hot cup of coffee before we speak to Him

I had written these thoughts earlier, but they didn't reach you - forgive me if it seemed like silence. As we know that faith is not passive - it requires obedience and expectation.

Blessings to you as we continue walking this road together - not missing the "bus" but standing in faith, rightly positioned, fully assured.

    (2 Peter Part 14):

2 Peter 2:10 - But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh, and that's what they are. They are very fleshy people.

And there are two things from this:

They walk in the lust of uncleanness, and they despise government (authorities). Secondly, they are presumptuous, meaning they have an arrogant attitude. They are selfwilled, and they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. The word dignities (DOXAS) is the word glories, a word used for spirit beings, mostly angels.

    (2 Peter Part 13):

2 Peter 2:2 - And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

And many shall follow their pernicious, or destructive ways; Notice this: Many will follow. It won't be a few. There will be a lot! That's why Jesus said there are few who are saved. Many shall follow their destructive ways. And secondly, by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. That's the word blasphemed. The way of the truth will be blasphemed.

    2 Peter 2:4 - For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

So, if God did this, then He's not slumbering, and He's not delaying about His judgment. And this is interesting because it shows a Past Tense. God did not spare angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell. The word for hell is TARTARUS. And it is the Greek version of the term for HADES, where the unseen spirits go, in a compartment waiting for judgment. It's the only place where it's found in the bible.

And so, he says that God in past, He cast these angels who sinned into TARTARUS, and delivered them into chains of darkness. Now it's the darkness that is the chains. How do you take spirits and put chains on them? It's a phrase that associates locking someone up so that they cannot escape.

And to be reserved for judgment. So, if God did not spare the angels that sinned, how's He going to spare these that sinned? You can find out more about these angels in Jude Verse 6. It's a one-chapter book. Both Jude and Peter run along the same lines and minister the same thing.

    (2 Peter Part 12b):

    2 Peter 2:1 Continued

So, they privately, or secretly shall bring in. In the Greek text, it literally means to bring in alongside of something else. There's no word secret or private. It just means to bring in the destructive teachings alongside of some true teachings.

A lot of the cults today do teach some correct things from the bible. And they will agree on many things that believers know the bible teaches. But it can be as little as one percent of false teaching that can lead someone astray and in the wrong direction.

It was not too long ago, and even though Brigham Young University taught it in their classes, many Christians didn't know the full context of the teaching of the Mormon view of God the Father.

They believe there's god the mother because you can't have a son unless you have a father and a mother, so there's got to be a mother. So, they worship god the mother too, and they have some stories about her. But that didn't come out until recently. Yes, they believe in God the Father, and they talk to Christians about God the Father, but they're not going to tell you about god the mother that they believe in. You find all this other stuff out later, after they entice you, and bait you into joining their group.

So, the false teachers will bring in false teaching alongside of other things that are true, and catch people off guard, and bring the false teachings in. They bring in damnable heresies. The word damnable (APOLEIA) means destructive. There's no spiritual growth in it at all. It just destroys. And the word heresies comes from the Greek word HAIRESIS. And the root word literally means to choose, or to have an opinion.

The body of Christ gets divided over heresy, personal opinion, personal belief, and what people choose to believe from the bible. But they might not be able to find it in the scriptures, they just believe it's there, and it's called heresy, destructive heresies.
  • Jesse - 1 year ago
    (2 Peter Part 12a):

2 Peter 2:1 - But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

He says, but there were false prophets also among the people, meaning there were the prophets from God at the end of Chapter 1, and there were also false prophets among the people. Even as there shall be false teachers among you. Notice the change, false prophets from old, but now it's not false prophecy because all prophecy has been given. Now it's false teachers.

A teacher is someone who takes all the prophecy, all of the messages that have been God breathed, inspired through His servants, and they teach, but do they correctly represent the inspiration that is given through the original writers?

So, he gives them the caution. It's factual. There will be false teachers among you. And then we see their conduct, and some of this gets pretty intense, so try to hang in there with me.

Who in their conduct, there are three things:

Number 1, they who privily, or secretly shall bring in damnable, or destructive heresies,

Secondly: Even denying the Lord that bought them,

Thirdly: And bring upon themselves swift destruction.

    Dear Carolina 67,

There is nothing in the New Testament that requires a believer to pay a tithe. Tithing comes from the Old Testament, and it was a requirement by law for the Israelites to tithe. We as believers today are not under the law. Now, please know that I am not telling you that you should not tithe if you choose to do so. Also, I am not against believers giving to the church, and I think that giving is good, but what a person gives is between them and God.

There is no requirement or mandate that we must tithe, and we should not feel pressured you to do so. Please know that you are not sinning against God by not being able to give at certain times. The Lord knows your circumstances. Another thing you must know is that we as believers, we are not going to be judged by God as to how much money we gave or didn't give to the church. Again, giving is totally up to the believer as to when and how much. I hope this helps ease your mind some.

May the Lord bless you abundantly!

Meditations- Gen. ch.2. 4 "the day"

"These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

The generations of what is willed in the divine Will, and what is when fulfilled shall be identical. Holiness of God makes this a Covenant: consequently where the Word and the Word which was with God sets man sit in his heavenly place. It is the Will. (Eph.1.3) Fulfilment aspect of the Son sets them as signs and the wonders. "Behold, I and the children whom theLordhath given me are for signs and for wonders."( Isa. 8.18) Blessing means man and his world are alike blessed. Mt Zion it is called.

The tree of life in the divine Will shall still be fruitful in eternity (Rev.22.1)

2.1 "all the host of them" In the divine Will, the word of God sets in motion by the breath of the Lord garnishing the heavens "but the thunder of his power who can understand?"( Job 26.13-14). The fulfilment aspect of the Son shall make it appear. Thus the divine Command the sea shall obey implicitly "And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?" We read that Jesus Christ calmed the sea, Mk 4. 35-41. The word by command serves as a grid, "Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?" The beams 'Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters' (Ps.104.3; Job 38.16) Parable of the Dragnet refers to it. Before judgment, "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it." (Rev.20.13) He burns up the tares and gathers the good into his storehouses. "He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses."(Ps.33.6-7) Mount Zion and mount Sion delineate the heavenly places. " By the word of the Lord were the heavens made."

    Reply to Richard:

I have been graciously helped by your writings. I truly hope you will be able to continue writing. I am honored to be a part of this site. I count it a blessing to be exposed to all the thoughts and opinions all of you share.

The way you bring your opinion is scripturally based and explained in a way that is it is easier for me to follow.

I am glad that you posted the commentaries I have read since I have been on this site.So if they are a repeat, I appreciate them now.

I want to say that Your care and concern for your parents is wonderful.

    You are a blessing.

Your Mother gave to this generation a spirit filled believer in God Almighty.

And I am persuaded that your walk with Christ is a life style and not merely kind and appropriate words on paper.

A good son who saw that her needs

    were met.

Now, you are providing the same concern for your Dad.

I am praying that God continue to keep your mind sound, your soul safe and your body strong.

    Love and Peace Always. Amen!

    Gen.ch.2.1 "Complete Will"

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them." The adverb 'Thus' refers to what went before and what follows in this chapter is the fulfilling aspect of the Son. Gen.1.1 began with the perfect statement of God as the Will the Doer and as the Word. The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit renders the everlasting Covenant take on a definite direction where time works as He has set in lockstep with the Word was with God. Heaven and the earth of 7 days are part of their trinitarian unity. The fruit bearing tree ' after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth,' is the consequence of the Word which was with God, even where is revealed as the Son of man holiness of the Word shall not change its emphasis or meaning. "In him was life" gives life. " It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."(Jn.6.63) . He is the true Vine. ( Jn 15.1)

Ch.1 narrated the divine Will as a Covenant and 2.1 the Spirit annotates the Will fulfilled. What we have is the fulfilment of the Will. Holiness of God, a facet of which is mercy is here set forth as rain. " for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground." His blessings are now tied in terms of man. He is created after our image and after our likeness.' (2.5)

    Hello Hope in Jesus Christ,

Amen! I completely agree. In my recent devotional on Deuteronomy 2, I was deeply moved by how God teaches us to respect the boundaries He has established, to trust His provision even in the wilderness, and to keep our hearts free from all forms of idolatry - even the subtle ones, like needing a hot cup of coffee before speaking to Him. True worship flows from recognizing God's faithfulness, even in difficult seasons. Thank you for reminding us that worship also includes preaching, prayer, discipline, and service - each part strengthens the body of Christ.
