"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord." Consider this famine which is sent by the Lord God?
The word of God says clearly that it was heard." But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world." There was a time people gushed that their inventions made the earth a global village; and the churches set up radio stations and beamed the word of God, 24x7 service to spread the message. Was it an over-kill of the message what with false shepherds getting into the act. Almost two millennia gone and yet heresies have not gone. How come? "For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." The itching ears heard but their faith obviously was not stirred to make it a practice. " He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad." While the world is now split into blocs so some nations are onto isolationism and advocate Might is Right the very Son the world crucified is being trodden underfoot as it were. The weak, poor nations have been squeezed to a pip and now it is time to make them disappear. Oh God is not mocked. " And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day" This prophesy came true at the time of crucifixion."And what is left? "And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day."
" And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it."
I am praying for your sister. Let us know how she is doing later on.
There is no question that in the final fulfillment of Joel 2:28 testifies: And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: This all is part of the signs and wonders seen in the sun; moon and stars and other events; with the first part of this prophecy happening with Pentecost in Acts 2:16.
The greatest manifestation of these miraculous powers will be with the two Prophets as seen in Revelation 11. This is a reflection of the 2 candlesticks mentioned in Zechariah 4:11-14. There are also the 144,000 from the 12 tribes of Israel mentioned in Revelation 7 and appearing in later chapters. God sets His seal of protection over them for events effecting the earth that seem to appear in the Trumpet Judgments; so they come sometime between the onset of the period and the end of the seal judgments.
The deception of false prophets is a main focus here but the other deception of not believing God's prophets is something dangerous and needs to be considered. This seems to be reflected in the punishment of the sheep and goat judgment in Matthew 25. Those who are in prison and not visited; for instance are indicative of those who are sent to hell. We are reminded of the subject discussed at Sunday School today about the unforgiveable sin in Luke 12:10. Such rebellion is clearly indicated by those who; for instance celebrate with a world wide party once the two prophets are killed; in Revelation 11:7-12.
Shortly afterward; no doubt the Antichrist is hailed as the victor over his own death as well as overcoming these two men who had caused so much suffering for those on the earth. You would think their resurrection would deter them from continuing on this path but they probably in my opinion Antichrist will say he drove them out of the earth where the rest of us are reprogrammed.
Deuteronomy 13:1-4 If a prophet or dreamer of dreams arises among you and proclaims a sign or wonder to you, 2and if the sign or wonder he has spoken to you comes about, but he says, "Let us follow other gods (which you have not known) and let us worship them," 3you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. For the LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love Him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4You are to follow the LORD your God and fear Him. Keep His commandments and listen to His voice; serve Him and hold fast to Him.
We have not only the proliferation of non-miracles that are cleverly prepared ahead of time with audience participation; special effects; and fabricated testimonies; we also see things that clearly are supernatural and inexplicable with natural reasoning. This shows the Lord testing his people to see if they continue to follow Him; which the rest of the chapter discusses with the other nations God says to destroy and those among His people that try to entice others to follow other gods. Such individuals; even those who are the spouse or close family members at that time were to be put to death; this shows the importance of this subject. No doubt the sexual perversions seen in such nations were tied into spiritual ones; we see the same principle in Revelation 2 with Thyatira:
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
Now whether this is literally referring to the Great Tribulation or not is open to interpretation; the same spirit nonetheless will be rife in the end times.
You are free to your opinion and I did not post in this forum or in any other in order to please anyone, I shall leave it as it is. May God be my judge,
I agree with S. Spencer in many ways as to the approach you employ in interpreting Scripture in your posts on this forum. you hyper-spiritualize nearly every Scripture and mash together minced pieces of many unrelated Scripture to forge a meaning to God's Word that is just not there in the first place.
I have tried to read your posts with an open mind to try to understand your methodology and the points you are trying to make from your musings. I do not think that they come from the Holy Spirit at all. But, even so, it is my hope that you will grow in knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ.
Like you, I believe that dispensationalism is based on faulty hermeneutics and premises. However, I try to dialog with those who adhere to it in respectful ways. I encourage you to do so, also. I also keep those on this site in prayer, which includes you and S. Spencer. Mutual concern and respect goes a long way and is what we are to give in loving our brothers and sisters in Christ. This does not mean that we approve of everything someone says on this forum, and we should speak up when we think someone is erring. In love, that is what I try to do for others and today I am attempting to do with you, too.
Bennymkje, you have an edge to how you posts that comes across as a superior, "I cannot be wrong or challenged" that counter your seeming display of "humility" of just posting for the "glory of God". But God is the judge of that, not I.
As a result, I do not read most of your posts, but some of them have been helpful to me. God bless you.
May the Lord bless you.

"For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."Mal.3.16 God is One whose Power and Wisdom works as one with perfect amity. Glory is its expression that the heavens declare. The Trinty has thus a visible form. Thus the unseen world of the Father is made visible by the Son. Holiness of the Spirit renders His voice as sound and as signs. Father Son and Holy Ghost have their affinities so "For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself."( Jn 5.26). This life is the light of men. ( Jn 1.4)
Unity of the Spirit sets the context for creating man 'after our image and after our likeness.'Fellowship of God with Man is to create many sons in glory so he that has the Son has the Father as well. "he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." This is first created in the worlds so heavens declare the glory in the holiness of the Father which the Son revealed by obedience."I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart." The world made to appear has a body and the word the law is within my heart.' Consequently he was before all things and all things consists of him. Man is created in our image. The heaven as a sign is after our likeness. It explains the kingdom of heaven parables where the worlds unseen and the world made to appear can be set on single standard. What is seen is temporal and what is unseen eternal. Faith became the only proof of DNA between the two worlds. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
The Law of the Spirit set these relationships of God and man on the basis of the Word by which the everlasting covenant is on the basis of faith where both he that sanctifieth and himself as one. Heb.2.10-11) He is a new creation: new heaven and new earth are neither on earth or in heavens but in mid-air. (Rev.21.1-3
I pass it on in silence.
I've also encountered people off site.
This is not your mere misinterpretation of the word of God or lack of understanding.
This is demonic!
Anyone who does this and attacks the body of Christ is not a sheep.
CHARACTERISTICS OF A CHRISTIAN TEACHER.
AGAPE, patience, humility, and a passion for helping students learn and grow, both academically and spiritually.
IT'S CALLED FRUIT.
You can't generate this on your own.
You have to be led by the Spirit.
You may come across false teachers that will try to mimic these traits to try to deceive the simple.
Here's why that's coveted by them.
Galatians 5:22-25
Here is what's in them. Galatians 5:19-21.
Sometimes we as Christians feed others egos with encouragement even though we don't mean it, even if we're not being honest.
I don't agree with that. A lie doesn't help anyone
I believe we should encourage one another in keeping the truth.
That often leads to disagreement and contention, hopefully it leads to repentance.
Back to fruit barring.
Matthew 7:15-18 reads.
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Have you notice this doesn't say you tell a false teacher by what or how he is teaching?
You tell by what's inside them! Works of the flesh not "THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT!
It's not their material! It's what possesses them!
God can use a donkey to deliver his word but you won't follow him if he kicks you.
More on the issues of not taking the Scripture seriously later.
God bless.
"Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;"
Ephesians 2:12
"That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:"
Ephesians 2:13
"But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ."
Ephesians 2:14
"For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;"

beguiled,, a dupe, a Dummy?
By God's Spirit you would call me all that because I refuse to follow you and read your material? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Bennymkje you come on this site insulting people from day one!
Bennymkje I am very familiar with your way of using scripture in away to stand in the way of the truth.
You spiritualize the truth right OUT OF THE TEXT.
I HOPE THAT ANYONE WISHING TO FOLLOW YOU READ THIS WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SAY.
I am happy to address this, not for my sake but for whoever decides to follow you.
The truth has to be in a person and you can't beat it in him
When teaching present that teacher delivers the word as is! (It's a seed planted)
Now it depends on the condition of a person's heart. IF GOD'S SPIRIT IS IN THAT PERSON THEN TRUTH SHALL BE REVEALED!
The scripture is read as is and (Gods spirit is what makes it find home),
You believe that is foolish but here is what the Bible says about that in 1 Corinthians 2:14.
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
A teacher read the text and then he explains it.
Making someone UNDERSTAND spiritually is not his job.
Here's what scripture has to say about that.
1 Corinthians 3:6-7.
One characteristic of a false teacher is that he tries to draw people to himself with philosophy and sophisticated words. They take pride in their delivery.
On the contrary here's Paul in 1 Corinthians 2:4-5. "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, BUT IN THE POWER OF GOD.!
"But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
On the preceding verse we have the great supper of God where Abraham and other heirs of promise are guests. "hat many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven."They come from east and west, which itself tells its significance of the coming of the Son of man. It resonates with the river from Eden flowing, so the coming of Son has been determined before the beginning. That is the inalterable will of the Father. On the other hand Satan has his rounds," From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."( Job 1.7) The children of the kingdom referred here are not any specific nation but those who cannot come to the measure of faith that the centurion a Gentile demonstrated in vv.5-10. Jesus marvelled that he did not find such faith in Israel."Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." It applies to whosoever Gentile or Jew whose faith is merely lip service. The centurion believed already in his heart that "but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed." Those who were cast out are a mixed people. They are similar to the Gibeonites who managed to be allied by trickery. "And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the Lord, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose."(Josh.9.27) 'Unto this day' is a tag set by the Holy Spirit that it comes under the authority of Jesus Christ who is the judge. The left out church and Israel are intended. They are cast into outer darkness. There will be weeping. This is foretold,"And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord God."( Amos 8.3).
A dummy is what it says and he is dupe of the devil in the sense I used here. Dispensationalism is simply a mock up of the Bible from Devil's Press so verses are there but does not add up. You are beguiled, Spencer, a dupe. God a Spirit has to be understood spiritually so you live in the flesh as obedient to the heavenly Father. You quote verses but does it find home, the truth?I told you from the beginning that if you dont follow my posts, it requires grace from above. So you can treat them as you wish. I did not come to this form to hold the brief for heretics but for the glory of God alone, May God open your eyes so that find truth for yourself.
Well in the THIRD wipeout (maybe I should do something about that pinky finger touching the wrong key) I thought I would get to another concept. That is the idea that we would never be fooled that being for any reason OTHER than the Spirit indwelling us as to falling for deception in the Tribulation in particular if we were to be there or anything for that matter in these last days of the church on earth.
I am convinced that many denominations today would have majority concensus that if the Antichrist appeared tomorrow they would find enough convincing logic to follow him blindly on the broad road to destruction. This is why they will as I quoted scripture the other day find it fitting to kill true faithful believers thinking they are "doing God a favor" ( John 16:2). That verse is focused on the Jews but in churches today eventually becoming part of "Mystery Babylon" the one world religion rapidly coming to pass today no doubt the same sentiment will result in many martyrs the first half of the Tribulation as I see it.
With so many crying "wolf" for so long when the final deception comes many will brush it off thinking they have seen it all before and before they know it this leader will have total control of the world. We need to realize that God Himself brings the strong delusion for His own purposes as we read in 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12. We see similar operations in the Old Testament in 1 Kings 22:22 where a lying spirit is given permission to speak through many for mass deception. Satan has his day also; his first time was at the time of the crucifixion; and the last will be with the other son of perdition as mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12. The first occurance with Judas Iscariot was to fulfill prophecy and to bring to pass the events that would lead to Christ's atoning sacrifice; and the second to gather the world together for Armageddon which occurs in Revelation 19; and then lead to judgment in Rev. 20.
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
3And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
4And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
Well; TWICE I pushed the wrong button in regard to about a half dozen OTHER verses related to this subject. I'm afraid something untoward will come out of my mouth that I didn't hold back after things got wiped out the second time if I attempt a third effort! Okay enough of a pity party here...
I will go back to something I have postulated in meditating on this subject today; namely what is so wrong with a peace agreement in general? After all we are called to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem" in Psalm 122:6. Well; the answer comes partially in what was stated earlier today; as to the "two state solution" fiasco; that inevitably is involved when negotiations ensue with eh Palestinians in particular and their terrorist organizations associated with their cause. The maddening concept fails because neither side wants that; the Muslims want the destruction of the nation as the "little Satan" as Iran puts it from the "river to the sea" and of course Israel for good cause doesn't want to sign such a suicidal pact. But in the future the "covenant with death and hell" ( Isaiah 28:15) will be fulfilled as they will apparently trust the lies of someone guaranteeing protection; peace and prosperity. To fast forward to the end of the Tribulation Satan leads the world to attempt to destroy Christ at His return his last "hail Mary" as it were.
1 Peter 4:4 - Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
Wherein they think it strange that you run not with them in the same excess of riot, and the word riot is the word ruin. "Hey, you're not running with us and ruining yourself anymore. What happened?" And by that, they're speaking evil of you: This is the word blasphemy.
1 Peter 4:5 - Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
The word quick means the living. Dead people are not very quick!
1 Peter 4:7 - But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
But the end of all things is at hand:
That little term "is at hand" is called a Perfect Tense, has drawn near. The end is already in process of ending. That was back in Paul and Peter's day. It's even more so today.
1 Peter 4:3 - For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
For the time past of our life may suffice us to have worked out the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, meaning unrestrained immorality. That's what lasciviousness is. The Greek word ASELGEIA has the Alpha Privative. But SELGEIA was a name of a town, and they kicked all the prostitutes out, and they closed all the bars.
And so, they were very strict in this town. Whenever soldiers had free time, they never went to SELGEIA. They always tried to find a town where they could drink and party. But you couldn't do that at SELGEIA. So, this is ASELGEIA. This is the opposite of the town of SELGEIA. He saying lasciviousness means anything goes. There are no limitations. There are no restrictions.
Lusts, which means to put your desire on something and go after it. Excess of wine, which is translated habitual drunkenness. Revellings, which means to party. Banquetings, and this one is interesting. It means to drink in celebration to Bacchus, who is the god of wine. So, they made a festival out of it.
And abominable idolatries: Literally, illegal idolatries. That is, those things which God has said not to do. He says you were running rampant. This was your lifestyle. You indulged in these things when you lived your life by the way of the Gentiles or nations. But you've had sufficient time. The day the Lord saves you, he says you're ready. Sufficient, you've had enough!
1 Peter 3:16 - Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation, or lifestyle in Christ. And again, the word good conversation or lifestyle is TOV, the lifestyle for which God has created me for.
So eventually they will be ashamed, but they will speak evil, but as long as you have a good conscience, that's what he's saying. If you have a clear conscience, if you're obeying the Lord, if you're following righteousness in a world that is unrighteous, when they speak evil of you, they're going to be ashamed one day when Christ comes.
1 Peter 3:17 - For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
It's better for you if you suffer for functioning in the way that Christ has created you, rather than RAH, functioning in the way of the world, and suffering the consequences for that lifestyle.
1 Peter 3:15 - But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts:
I have been sanctified by Christ. But what he's saying is, as I live out my life, I am to keep my heart set apart for Him. He has set me apart by coming to live in my spirit. But in my heart, I go in different directions.
Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, and do it with meekness, that is, openness, and do it with fear, or respect:
Notice that he is telling this to people who are suffering. That's important. While these believing Jews are going through suffering, people are looking at them and wondering why they are living life like they have hope. The word hope in Greek means expectancy. It doesn't mean hope like a wish. It's expectancy. I expect Christ to come. I expect to go be with Him if I should die before He comes.
Peter said in 1 Peter 1:3 that we have been born again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. So here are these suffering Hebrew believers, and he says get ready to give an answer.
And the word answer in the Greek (APOLOGIAN) is where we get our English word apologetics. Be ready to give a defense. Every believer should be ready to present to people the basis and foundation for their hope of their life in Jesus Christ. So be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is within you, only do it with openness and respect.
1 Peter 3:13 - And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
The word good here is AGATHOU. The Greek text uses KALOS or KAKOS. But AGATHOS is the good of the Lord, and PONAYROS is the evil of Satan. KALOS and KAKOS is good in human terms. He uses KAKOS the human term for the negative, and he uses AGATHOS for the things of God.
Remember he is writing to a Jewish group. They understand the terminologies from a Jewish standpoint that the word good in Hebrew is TOV, and the word bad or evil is RAH. The word TOV is used in the creation narration in Genesis Chapter 1, where after God created, He saw that it was good. And we understand from all of the uses of TOV in the TANAK, the Old Testament, that it has more to do with something that is functioning according to the purpose for which it was created.
So, when God got through creating each day, He looked at it as functioning perfectly. He created it perfectly. The emphasis is on sin entering into the world and ruining the purposes to which God created things, even people. And that's what Peter is really emphasizing here, is that these Jewish believers, not only are they suffering because of their circumstances, but they're suffering also because of their faith.
So even other Jewish people who are in the area, you'd think that they could go knock on their door and say, "I'm Jewish, and I'm here and I have no place to live, and I need something to eat," that they would help them. But then they find out that they're also believers in Jesus Christ as Messiah. They won't even help them.
He says, and who is he that will harm you, if you be followers of that which is good? If you follow the function for which God has created you, then who's going to harm you?
Were all forever learning.
The only barrier to the truth is to think we already have it.
I to appreciate Brother Jesse and his lessons.
I've learned a lot on this site from people like him, Brother Chris and others in more than just Scriptural doctrine.
Thanks and May the Lord bless you in all that you do.
Since we both use outside sources to the Bible to gain insight we are in ways on the same page in this regard and can appreciate that we both are seeking to find understanding. I appreciate what Jesse is doing with highlighting the Greek words and meanings in the N. T. He has a skill set I do not have, so I am grateful for his contribution.
I appreciate you, too, as your insights have helped me over and over again. May we all be sources of encouragement and contribute to building one another up in our faith, doctrine, walk, and relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We don't call people dummy on this site!
You being 82 years old and have a website of your own should know that!
I also have a website and the last thing I would do is call people names like a child!
You're calling 95 percent of the people on this site Dummies.
There's people on the site dispensational and don't know it.
You tried to disrespect me but you are disrespecting the site.
I have told you before I don't adhere to your way of interpreting scripture where everything spiritualized so it shouldn't have surprised you when I said I take the Bible seriously and don't spiritualize it.
I wasn't speaking to you I was speaking to Gigi.
Thanks for responding..
I study scripture, I research the internet, I have a library of Biblical literature.
I research them all when needed
Everything has to be verified by scripture.
My dispensational thinking is verified by scripture.
I take a literal approach unless there's a symbol that says otherwise.
Thanks for your time on this Gigi
God bless you.
