Please ,dont get me started thinking about my cat ,i shall be snotty and tearfull all day ,your suggestion sounds feasable but im worried about this shutting down of the right half if my brain ,at my age i need it all ! Continued comment: Though the first Adam lost the comfort of the rest of the seventh day, God did not. However when Jesus left Heaven to come as God in Man, the second Adam he left behind that rest (estate) until His resurrection after Calvary.

Also only a comment. The seventh day, a day of rest for God's man, remained until Adam was judged and removed from the garden. Jesus fulfilled the seventh day as a new Adam and again restored rest in this day.

Hi mishael ,i have to be honest ive never found the books of samuel ,kings and chronicles tedious ,they exhibit every facet of human nature ,at its worst and its best and we get to see Gods work through a very long lense as He puts all the pieces together to bring us to Jesus ,i think sometimes we have to study it very closely to dig up the gems but they are there ,we are told that sauls daughter who married david had no children to him because she mocked his dancing ,at the end of his reign david very subtily made sure saul had no male heirs to challenge solomon ,if david had had children with sauls daughter how would that have panned out ? It doesnt bear thinking about ,oh im wrong ! It does !

The first 5 chapters was on the creation the next section is on Noah and the flood, The Emphasis on this Genealogy is on Adam, " The first man" to Noah.

Hebrew:

KJV Usage: Adam(9x).

In the next division in Genesis you see a Genealogy in Ch 10 he does the same thing, you see a Genealogy of Noah with certain characters like Nimrod highlighted setting up the brief story of him in ch 11 before he gives us the story of Abraham. Again you see the family of Abraham listed as you go to ch 12 with the story of Abraham focusing just on lineage of the preceding character.

Here's another example Matthew 1:1-2 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Abraham begat "ISAAC"; and Isaac begat "JACOB"; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

Have you noticed no mention of Ishmael or Essau?

Because the focus is on Jesus to king David. this Genealogy goes through Solomon but the Genealogy in Luke goes through Nathan, One giving the legal line to the thrown and the other giving the blood line to the thrown.

I hope that clears this up for you because I don't know why one would suggest that God would bless a biological birth from Satan, Only God can permit Life.

Genesis 4:2. I don't think it shows they came to the age of accountability at the same time, I believe Cain was offering the fruit of the ground before Abel reached the age of accountability.

The fruit of a cursed ground instead of a blood sacrifice. The issue was that God didn't require that of Cain.

When Abel came along he did what was required.

Let's say satan impregnated Eve, don't you think satan would have chastised Jesus for eternity for being born of the devil? We would have heard much more about it, but we don't. Jesus would not have been able to overcome the grave without being of God.

That's not all 2 Peter 3:8 says, watch closely, let's pick up around vs 3 thru vs 9. and get the context.

2 Peter 3:3-4, 8-9 (KJV) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation...5.....6......

8: But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord "AS" a thousand years, AND A THOUSAND YEARS "AS" ONE DAY...

Now if the first part of vs 8 makes a day an 1000 years, "very long" Then the other half of vs 8 makes a 1000 years an DAY! "very short" so calculating time using this vs would make a day fractions of a second!!

The setting here is God stands outside of time looking in.

The emphasis is on God's patience, not the length of a day.

Look below at verse 9

9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is LONGSUFFERING to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. I Hope that helps

Adam bit the apple too, yet he didn't know the serpent (a spirit). It is sin that beguiles us, and satan is the father of them. satan was just making his rounds in the garden to stem the evil tide. One solid characteristic about satan is he can't create anything, he can't breathe life into anything, he can't even produce evil unless the letter lets (God).

2 Thessalonians 2:7 "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way."

Go ahead and tell us your thoughts here. I can't extract specific answers from the text.

Maybe you can explain the dichotomy of the devil who shows up in the garden, Genesis 3, from the "morning star" that weakened the nations, Isaiah 14:12-15 and aspired to rise to heaven, from the one kicked out of heaven, Revelation 12:7-9.

I need semblance to draw a rational conclusion on what's happening with satan's tenure. Is this the nature of inequity, allowing the spirit of satan to continually spoil life?

Jesus calls the devil "the God of this world", 2 Corinthians 4:4. Does the devil's spirit reside on earth where he works his loom, or does he do so from heaven, or both? Has he already been kicked out of heaven, and Rev 12:7-9 is purely symbolic?

Today we face the same problems Adam and Eve faced in the garden, nothing has changed. I have a feeling you can shed light on this.

God is spirit. The Holy Spirit is spirit. Jesus had not been born of woman yet. (Pre-incarnate)

Some believe that while Jesus' body was in the tomb, His spirit was in hell.Scripture doesn't support that position when it is taken in context and we look at the meaning of the word "hell." In the Old Testament, the place of the dead or the place of departed souls was called "SHEOL." It was to this place that all souls of the dead went to await resurrection.

In the New Testament, we find the story of Lazarus and the rich man who both died and went to Hades ( Luke 16:19-31). The KJV translates the Greek word "hades" as hell but most other translations use the Greek word. HADES had two separated parts: Those who died in faith believing in God's promise waited for the resurrection in Abraham's Bosom. Those who died spiritually separated from God wait in torment for the resurrection unto death, eternal separation from God. The rich man was on the torment side and Lazarus was in ABRAHAMS BOSOM which was called "PARADISE" by the LORD Jesus Christ himself when He addressed the thief who found faith the day Jesus was crucified ( Luke 23:42-43)

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment" ( 2 Peter 2:4). The word translated "HELL" here is not the Greek word "HADES" but is the Greek word "TARTARUS" meaning ABYSS or the lowest regions. This could very well be the "gulf" that was fixed between the PLACE OF TORMENT and Abraham's Bosom ( Luke 16:26).

Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fulfill all things" ( Ephesians 4:8-10). Leading captivity captive seems to refer to Jesus taking all those that waited in Paradise to heaven to be with Him. The descending into the "lower parts"refers to Jesus mission of declaring Victory!

These are scriptures of when the 3 persons of the Godhead were speaking to each other.

I was taught that Adams name means, Man. Eve's name means, Man with a womb.

Adam and Eve were of flesh, soul and spirit up until they ate of tree. Then the spiritual connection was severed.

By being Born Again, Jesus restores that spiritual connection through the Holy Spirit who indwells us.

Adam and Eve weren't the first man and woman. Haven't you read the first chapter of Genesis? Gen. 1:26 - And God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness..."

Gen. 1:27 - So God created man in His own image...

6th day Man - (Hb.) adam (no article) = mankind

'eth-Ha' adam (WITH article) is the Adam, and then Eve, who God created on the 8th day, in which Christ, bellybutton to bellybutton comes from.

Also remember that 1 day of our Father is equal to 1,000 years for us (man). 2 Peter 3:8

It is my belief that when Jesus was in the tomb, He went back in time and gave those people a chance to choose at that time.

The literal translation of John 20:22 for the term "He breathed on them," it says literally "He breathed in." That is it! "He breathed in and said to them."

What does that mean that He breathed in?

Some point out the fact that the word for breathe is found in two places in the Old Testament, one is in Genesis 2:7, where the Lord literally breathed into the face of Adam and he became a living soul.



And then in Ezekiel 37:9, where he tells Ezekiel to go out and prophecy, and the wind comes and blows on the dead bones and they become alive.



But the difference between this instance and the two places I just mentioned is that in the Septuagint, in Genesis 2:7 and Ezekiel 37:9 it has what is called the preposition EIS with the accusative.



God breathed into Adam. The wind and breath of God breathed into the dead bones. There is no prepositional phrase here in John 20:22. It is just the word breathed in.

What is interesting is that it does not say that they received the Holy Spirit.

This text is where some get the "two experiences" where here they were saved, and in Acts Chapter 2, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a "second experience" that every Christian needs.

The problem here is that Jesus gave them the command, receive the Holy Ghost. It doesn't say they received Him!

I guess my answer to your question would be that when Jesus said this, He breathed in, like to expand His chest, and He says unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

I see you have looked again but you are still missing the point. What you have posted started from verse 4, but to really get the full essence of the script, is to start from verse one and especially vs. 2 where it says, "and on the seventh day God ended HIS work." Then below, the Bible describes the process of creation including mankind.

So after the seventh day was expired, this is now the 8th day when the serpent was introduced and started its work of teaching the opposite of good. I'm asking you again as I asked you in the first post, where was God when this was taking place? Could Adam and Eve see God? It's very important to me if you will answer these 2 questions before we continue so I can evaluate who I'm posting to.

AGAIN, in the Hebrew manuscripts is YACAPH, yaw-saf - this means to continue, proceed, etc.

Also, it is evident that Cain and Abel came to the age of accountability at the same time, both bringing their offerings to the Lord.
