The Torah is Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, the first five books of The Bible written by Moses by inspiration of The Holy Spirit.

Have you NOT read the Torah? I probably have read Leviticus the least. I'm currently in a Bible study on Genesis. But I've read through these books many times over the years.

Many significant things to me: a very few of them are...

Abraham believed God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness. Genesis 15:6

Moses intercedes for his people Exodus 33:12-23 "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest."

Sevenfold curses for Israel's rebellion Leviticus 26

Moses strikes the rock twice. Oops! Numbers 20:10-13

How can we know if a prophet speaks from God Deuteronomy 18:15-22

    1. The Papacy.

    Who are her daughters?

    2. Sometime after Christ's crucifixion and resurrection, a meeting of the early churches decided to change God's 7th day Sabbath to Sunday.

    3. This change was justified by a) honoring Christ's sacrifice on the cross and b) to separate themselves from association with Judaism.

What I find mystifying is that Christ Himself claimed to be the Lord of the Sabbath. Yet how is it then that the majority of "Christian" denominations consider Sunday as the sabbath, rather than the one Jesus and the Apostles both observed and preached?

Such change could only be from a power intent on corrupting God's appointed Sabbath...The Beast of Revelation, Satan working behind the the cloak of Catholicism.

Lastly, The closing of Revelation concludes that God's people are those that "keep the Commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus Christ.

    I welcome your response,

    Hello Diana,

Feeling to give an answer to your question. I cannot say it is 100% of what you are seeking as others here may be able to expand on this with other Scriptures.

The Scripture that came to mind that hopefully will give you a little rest to that question is ( 1 Peter 4.

    God Bless.

  • Sacha - In Reply on Esther 10 - 5 years ago
Hi jimmie ,honestly no ,i dont think that martha and marys lack of faith in him made Jesus cry ,i think that martha and mary very subtily reproached Jesus for not getting there sooner because they had faith in Jesus and belived that if Jesus had come straight away their brother would not have died in the first place ,John ch11 v 21 and 22 and 32 .

    Hello Kayden,

As I noticed in one of your other posts that you are young and are close with the Lord. This gives me great pleasure.

I just wanted to respond to this post. As the "shape of the earth" has been brought up here before. The main thing is that it is a topic that seems to divide the body of Christ more than do good for us that follow the Lord.

Again, I am very pleased to see someone so young on the path of truth.

I hope none of my brothers and sisters are angry with me for this but I must respond to you with this. Just the other night I was reading Isaiah. I came across Isaiah 38:7-8 where the Lord made the sun go backwards.

Just another verse for you to note.

    God bless.

Been a busy morning already. Two trucks and a re-loading of propane! :)

    Ecclesiastes 4:1

So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and so on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.

my testimony: I know that comforter and he gives me peace in my weaknesses. :)

    Hello to you CINDY,

Well, you have pointed out a statement that Lot made. Remember whom Lot made the statement to, Lot is not as God who knows all things. As I mentioned before, Lot maybe thought his daughters were virgins, and also I'm just speculating that they were not. Also keep in mind that these men could care less if they were, because they were more into the back and not the front (if you get what I mean). God bless you

    Hello Richard Curtiss,

Are you referring to the KJV of 1611? If so, I take it you have not thoroughly read it because it has many references to the name or names of GOD. I have listed a few here: I AM THAT I AM ( means sender) Exodus 3:14

: JEHOVAH ( means God Almighty, Most High, Everlasting and so on.Ex6:3

: JESUS (means Savior, The Word) John 1:14.

    : ISAIAH 40:28

It's too many to mention on this platform; but I hope this list will help you or do you have something else to share or enlighten? God bless you

Ecclesiastes 3:14-17 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

Ecclesiastes 5:8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

Ecclesiastes 7:8-9 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

2 Timothy 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Hi darren ,Isaiah ch 14 v 1-3 ,iif i really think on it i think these verses have not yet been fulfilled at least not completely ,when it comes to prophecy my gauge is 'has that happened yet ?' of course we cant always be 100 percent sure ,it urks me when people try to tell me what happened a thousand years ago in a foreign country when most people cant tell you what was going on in their own lives last month ,i think these 3 verses are yet to be fulfilled and i like to hope that these bondmaids and servants will be happy to be alive and in the land of Israel with Christ and the redeemed ,'i would rather be a door keeper ' psalm 84 v 10

1 Peter 2:11-25 (free; strangers and Pilgrims)

    11 Dearly Beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

12 Having your conversation honest among Gentiles that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, which they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

    13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether it be to the king, as supreme;

14 Or to governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

16 As Free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

    21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps;

22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

    23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously;

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.

25 For he were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

  • Hearing the Holy Spirit speak - In Reply on Mark 10 - 5 years ago
Jesus went to the Cross to bring the Holy Spirit to us on the Day of Pentecost. He is the Spirit of Christ. He does many things to grow us up into the likeness of Jesus.

He speaks in the still, small voice to those who are tuned into His voice. I hear him near my heart or right ear.

1 Corinthians 12, teaches us on spiritual gifts. It says to desire the best gifts. The Holy Spirit gives the gifts as He wills. Verse 11. I think the best gift is the one you need most at a given moment.

    Hello Earl,

Thank you for replying; these issues need to be discussed openly and readily.

Your premise is that Revelation, in conjunction with the prophets, is completely symbolic and won't manifest itself here on earth.

The Bible was penned for us, not heaven. If prophesies concerning warfare are going to be fulfilled in Spiritual heaven, and not earth, what's the point of our existence? How are we to overcome, make it to the end if the lessons are not in our physical realm? You may think it is symbolic, but the fact of the matter is down here on earth we are always on the brink. We've had 2 world wars etc, and are staring down the barrel of a 3rd.

So, why do I sense war is coming; the warning lights flash on my map. If you are correct in your approach, how is this madness ever going to reach fruition for the people of earth?

I have read what has been written, and have come to the conclusion that modern day Israel will be baptized by fire. We have a little ways to go, the 6th seal events will come to pass before the day of trouble. When time ends, the mystery will be finished, and both of us will understand what it was all about.
  • Eating Heavy Bible Every Day on Genesis 2 - 5 years ago
I can't believe what I am seeing in here. I can read whole books of the Bible every day. I turn off the phone, the tv, get a large water and pray that my eyes and heart be open to the Holy Spirit.

He's our Teacher. Book of John 14:28,

    John 16:13-14, 1 Peter 2:2,

    1 Corinthians 3:2

If we're not quoting scripture like The Son of God, what are we learning?

Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; BUT WHO ARE YOU?!

This is what we need. More Christians quoting scripture like the Son of God.

I have visions ok. I had this one of me as a baby Christian: I was sitting on a chair by this big table. I had my arms on the table pulling food into my mouth. Everybody's face looks like disgust. Then I hear and see Jesus laughing at the head of the table. He was pleased. I wake up.

Jesus likes to see a healthy appetite!

If I sound kinda rowdy it's because I'm from Texas. If we all ate the Bible like Texans can pack on some barbecue, we'd all be firing scripture like the Son of God.

When Jesus was in the desert, fasting 40 days and nights: he was challenged by Satan. Jesus said, IT IS WRITTEN: and He fired off the appropriate Scripture. He defeated Satan each time. We can too. We're his disciples too.

Why did Jesus cry?...Hi Sacha, Do you feel it may be possible that the lack of Faith in Martha and Mary could have made him cry?..Jesus knew Lazarus was to die as it was for others to see the Glory of God!..I may be wrong, I just feel If it was because Jesus was sad, would have not went soon as the messagers came ti let him know Lazatus had died? ..I know Jesus loved him, He loved all..but i have looked so hard and close at the scriptures that just maybe, Jesus cried because of th elack of faith they had in Him :) ...God Bless You
